Restore Orthodox churches for Kosovo peace - expert

If there are no churches, it must be Muslim land. From Reuters, with thanks to Ali Dashti:

PARIS, June 11 (Reuters) - European states must help rescue dozens of Orthodox churches and monasteries destroyed in Kosovo to show they are serious about fostering better ties between Serbs and Albanians there, a European expert said on Friday.

A large part of the Serbian Orthodox heritage in Kosovo, the province Serbs consider the hallowed birthplace of their nation, was destroyed or damaged by majority Albanian rioters last March in what a NATO official called "almost ethnic cleansing."

"Almost ethnic cleansing," eh? Of course, Reuters can't use the j-word.

For Thyse, Kosovo's religious heritage played a key role in the struggle to restore the multinational society that Kosovo enjoyed before Yugoslavia fell apart in 1991.

"The discussions on Kosovo's future status are starting," he said. Albanians make up 90 percent of the two million Kosovars.

"To keep the Serbs from claiming this area as part of their national heritage, some Albanians are attacking their churches."

To maintain its claim on parts of the province, the Serbian Orthodox Church has defiantly stayed on, with priests and monks hunkering down in the remaining icon-filled churches and frescoed monasteries under peacekeepers' protection.

Local patriarch Bishop Artemije has repeatedly criticised peacekeepers in the province -- officially part of Serbia although Belgrade does not control it -- for protecting the clergy but not the churches at the holy Serbian sites.

No one cares about Kosovo's jews, tzigans and Serbs cleansed from their land by albanians who surprise are muslims.

What was the reason for bombing the hell out of the serbs ? Genocide on the Albanians.

Now tell me why no mass graves was found ? Why the "rape camps" medias abu graibed about were never found ? (there were rapes but all sides serbs-croats and msulims did them as a terror weapon).

Lots of articles on what is going on in Kosovo here http://www.serbianna.com/

Pictures of the churches burnt to ashes scroll down middle page. And that's fact but not one media's on it. Come on lets talk more about the panties in Iraq...

This is mohammedan modus operandi- deny, obliterate, and replace any and all fact on the ground. They do it in Samaria, in Judea, in Afganistan, in Lebanon, in Kashmir, in Thailand; and everywhere else they culminated their heavy yoke. This is the process of turning dar al-harb into dar al-Islam. This is Ethnic, cultural cleaning, theologically ordained and pragmatically executed. The [NATO] kossovo war was a serious mistake, all kufars will pay for it as the Serbs and other minorities pay for it presently.

Get the albanian leaders to support the rebuilding of the churches. If they do not or if they say one thing to the international community and one thing to their own people, its time for sanctions.

Withdraw international aid, station more peacekeepers and declare that albanians doesnt seem to be fit to rule their province.

I'm entirely with Robert Spencer and his team with regard to Jihad and Dhimmi Watches.
Just to back my allegiance, do you condemn the US-led invasion of Serbia?

Peter Handke was the only one to suggest that Serbia was completely misunderstood. It would have done much if, early on, the Western world had tried to understand the effect that Izetbegovic's call for the imposition of sharia meant to Serbians. Izetbegovic, the Bosnain Muslim leader, had openly demanded that Islam become the ruling force in Bosnia. To the Serbs that evoked centuries past; the Ottoman rule; the imposition of the devshirme levy on Christian children; and much else. The complete failure of the Americans and Europeans to recognize what that meant, what fear that caused in Serbia (and elsewhere among the Christians in the Balkans and in Greece) might have headed off both Milosevic, and the atrocities that were committed by some Serbians, as well as by Muslims and Croatians, in the period following.

Even today, there is no understanding of what Izbegovic was, or why he was so dangerous. A few months ago the EU man in Bosnia, the British politician Paddy Ashdown, in his fluent and plummy voice, described Izetbegovic, after the latter's death, as essentially an inoffensive, even admirable man. Does Ashdown know what Izetbegovic stood for, or what he said? Shouldn't the Europeans learn just a little about that area.

Let's start with "Black Lamb and Grey Falcon," or Ivo Andric (whose Ph.D. thesis, on the effects of Muslim rule, should not be forgotten), Milovan Djilas and his son Aleksa. No one can discuss the Balkans unless that person can adequately describe 1) the devshirme system 2) the condition of Christians under Ottoman rule, including such events as the Bulgarian Wars of 1875-1876 3) the significance of the Battle of Kosovo 4) who was Karageorge.

Be able to answer those questions, and you will have begun to earn the right to have an opinion about the Serbs, Bosnia, and Kosovo.

What happened in the former yugoslavia has hppened before.
In India the moslems wanted pakistan which they got.A million plus people killed, rape, murder, forced conversion, children stolen.
When moslems can take land they will, the reason will be we must govern ourselves to preserve our rights. They don't mind taking land from non moslems but will they ever grant non moslems the same ? not a chance. Look at the sudan, east timor, the copts in egypt )www.copts.com)
the hindus/sikhs/budhists/christians in kashmir.
When the pak moslems invaded kashmir in 1947/48 one of the first things thet did was take over a nunnery then rape, murder the nuns.
But this is not PC is it?

Hugh pin-pointed it and I'd like to add that during WWII bosnian muslims were recruted to fight alongside the nazis.
They commited atrocities upon atrocities on the jews and serbs.

Encyclopedia of the Holocaust, Edition 1990, Volume 2, Pages 706 and 707, entry Husseini, Hajj Amin Al ; The main Hitler's supporter among Palestinian Arabs...
Quote:
It so happened that Husseini made his contribution to the Axis war effort in his capacity as a Muslim, rather than as an Arab leader, by recruiting and organizing in RECORD TIME, during the spring of 1943, BOSNIAN MUSLIM BATTALIONS in Croatia comprising some TWENTY THOUSAND MEN. These MUSLIM VOLUNTEER units, called Hanjar (Sword), were put in WAFFEN-SS fought Yugoslav partisans in Bosnia, and carried out police and security duties in Hungary. THEY PARTICIPATED IN THE MASSACRE OF CIVILIANS IN BOSNIA and VOLUNTEERED TO JOIN IN THE HUNT FOR JEWS IN CROATIA... The Germans made a point of publicizing the fact that Husseini had flown from Berlin to Sarajevo for the sole purpose of giving his blessing to the Muslim army and inspecting its arms and training exercises.

Himmler inspecting bosnian muslims SS troops http://www.srpska-mreza.com/library/facts/himmler.html

Don't forget the late Alija Izetbegovic, former president of Bosnia, who wrote in 1970 in "The Islamic Declaration :
"The exhaustive definition of the Islamic Order is: the unity of religion and law, education and force, ideals and interests, spiritual society and State…the Muslim does not exist at all as an independent individual… […] It is not in fact possible for there to be any peace or coexistence between 'the Islamic Religion' and non-Islamic social and political institutions."

The Balkans are a challenge to the so-called war on terror the US are supposed to conduct. In Bosnia, in Kosovo and recently in Macedonia they supported/provided the context for openly terrorist organisations to gain power or recognition.

PARIS (Reuters) - French actress-turned-animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot was convicted Thursday of inciting racial hatred and ordered to pay $6,000 -- the fourth such fine for the former sex symbol since 1997.
The Paris court sentenced Bardot, 69, for remarks in her book "A Scream in the Silence," an outspoken attack on gays, immigrants and the jobless that shocked France last year.
In the book, she laments the "Islamization of France" and the "underground and dangerous infiltration of Islam."
"Mme. Bardot presents Muslims as barbaric and cruel invaders, responsible for terrorist acts and eager to dominate the French to the extent of wanting to exterminate them," the court said.
France's 5-million-member Muslim community is the largest in Europe.
Bardot, who was not present for the verdict, denied the charges in a tearful court appearance last month, saying her book did not target Islam or people from North Africa.
She told the court France was going through a period of decadence and said she opposed interracial marriage.
"I was born in 1934, at that time interracial marriage wasn't approved of," she said.
"There are many new languages in the new Europe. Mediocrity is taking over from beauty and splendor. There are many people who are filthy, badly dressed and badly shaven."
In her book, she also attacks homosexuals as "fairground freaks," condemns the presence of women in government and denounces the "scandal of unemployment benefits."
Bardot's attacks on Muslims prompted anti-racism groups to launch legal proceedings against the former star, who turned her back on film after 46 films to concentrate on animal welfare.
Bardot, who in her 1960s heyday was the epitome of French feminine beauty, was fined $3,250 in January 1998 after being convicted of inciting racial hatred in comments about civilian massacres in Algeria.
Four months earlier, a court fined her for saying France was being overrun by sheep-slaughtering Muslims.

When will you American people learn that the USA is the only peple left who are Free! And still have your guns and the will and means to fight these monsters yes others will join our lead but we must lead this war against this EVIL and we have to BOMB Iran!!!!

what the west created in kosovo and former Yugo was a haven for terrorism which is now being used against them, they took the wrong side, they sided with muslims and now they are being terrorised by the people they saved. The war in former Yugo was a religious war that would have been won by christians had the west not intervened, as bloody as it might have been it was something unavaoidable and i can see this as the future of the rest of europe in another 20 years or so when the real europeans begin to say no to the islamization of europe and this turns into what we saw in the balkans. The balkans are a picture of future europe, not much to look forward to hey? coexistence with these people is not a possibility they dont know what coexistence is they will just push and push for their way.
start with schools, then churches etc
the balkans is on the front line where west and east meet that line has now moved further west like holland

What makes you people think this is mistake for the nations of Western Europe and the United States to support Islam by bombing Serbia? Kosovo Albanians and Bosnian Muslims are a threat to Serbs and Serbia, not the United States.

Supporting Turkish Cypriots and the Turkish army in Cyprus is a threat to Greek Cypriots and their existence, not in any way does this threaten the United States or Britain(which crafted the dhimmified 1960 Constitution giving muslims extra-ordinary powers on Cyprus).

Do you think supporting muslims during the partition of India was ever a threat to Britain and its vital interests?

Some of you need to wake up. It is not like this a single mistake that can be dismissed as wrongful thiking, but a historical pattern that keeps repeating. Christian and post Christian countries have many times aided muslim in their conflicts.

The fact is that the Western powers think in terms of removing and hurting economic and military competitors, and the muslim world even when supported is no real competition.
