Here is another issue that has been clouded by talk of pluralism and religious freedom. That's all very well; but pluralism and religious freedom are generally not allowed to non-Muslims in the countries from which the Hamtramck Muslims came to Michigan. Nor are they allowed under Islamic law. What demands will be made next upon the non-Muslims of Hamtramck?
Also note: the Muslims there weren't going to respect the vote anyway. From AP, with thanks to KR Ingalls:
HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (AP) -- Residents agreed Tuesday to include the Islamic call to prayer in the city's noise ordinance, a victory for those in favor of allowing mosques to issue the call to prayer over loudspeakers.Those in favor of allowing the broadcasts won the vote 1,462 to 1,200, or 55 percent to 45 percent, with all precincts reporting and all absentee ballots counted.
Opponents and backers of the measure acknowledged that the vote was merely symbolic. The ballot measure would not have stopped the amplified call to prayer; it would merely have repealed an amendment to the city's existing noise ordinance. The amendment regulates the volume and timing of the call. City officials have said there would be nothing to prohibit the broadcasting of the call to prayer itself.
"Now we truly have approval from the residents of the city," said Abdul Motlib, head of the al-Islah mosque, who joined others Tuesday night at city hall to await the results of the vote. "It's a long time we are waiting for this."
The City Council unanimously passed the amendment in April after a local mosque asked for permission to begin broadcasting the Arabic chants, traditionally issued five times a day.
The council's action provoked an outcry among some longtime residents of Hamtramck, a once predominately-Polish city of 23,000 people that is surrounded by Detroit. In recent years, the city has seen a rapid influx of immigrants from Bangladesh, Yemen and other countries.
City Council president Karen Majewski has said that repealing the amendment would have left the city powerless to regulate the calls, but would not allow officials to stop them. Nothing in the current noise ordinance bans the practice, she says.
The al-Islah mosque began the call to prayer in May. Masud Khan, secretary of the mosque, said the broadcasts would have continued whatever the outcome of Tuesday's vote. At least one other Hamtramck mosque also has begun the broadcasts via loudspeakers since May.

Whats next....
No one will be allowed out during prayer, women will be forced to cover if near the mosque within eyeshot of muslim males (and I use the term "male" loosly) the muslims will complain to the city that businesses that are open during prayer are distracting therefore should be closed...being on the ontario border they will want shaira to govern them, because after all they are not subject to man made law, police will have to look the other way while "men" beat their wives...
Ok some of this is extreme, but letting them get a foot in the door was a huge mistake...I live about 2 miles from the mosque in my city, now I worry that they will be wanting to squall their BS here....perhaps the only thing saving us here is that we are a town of shiftworkers (steel and auto) that would drive a bulldozer through that house of horror before they would have their sleep disrupted.

This "vote" is, of course, meaningless because unbelievers have no right to interfere with Muslim religious practices. Furthermore, the very concept of "democracy" as it is understood in the West is invalid because it has the effect of associating partners with Allah (swt).
There may be some positive aspects to this "vote" if it helps to teach the Americans that they can no longer oppress and discriminate against Muslims in their country. They must face reality and come to terms with the fact that in the future America will become an Islamic state. If nothing else, it is a simple matter of demographics. Once the Muslim population reaches "critical mass", the current unholy and unjust system of government will rapidly be supplanted by Sharia.
Those of you who truely desire peace should consider embracing Islam and working for the establishment of Islamic states in the US and Canada. Even your corrupt and criminal leaders are beginning to understand the inevitability of the triumph of Islam. Come to the truth and light of Islam and be part of the bright and shinning future rather than a forgotten part of the dark, dead past.
Your grandchildren will be Muslim.

The following are possible reasons for the absence of other Muslim commentary;
High rate of illiteracy in the Muslim community. Muzzie can’t read, ergo, he can’t type.
Female Muzzies not allowed near computer.
Computers require electrical current.
Even if there was an electrical current, learning to turn on a computer would require a higher level of intelligence than exists.
Other time consuming activities such as:
Praying to Allah, the “Moon Rock” god, five times a day.
Too busy complying with the Islamic requirement of shaving the rear hind quarters, which incidentally is a featured event at the Gay Olympics.
Practicing Jihad: Playing with explosives, decapitating infidels, raping women and children, male/female, (the false prophet Mohammed was an avowed pedophile and child molester), etc…

Reza's poin that time is on the side of the muslims should be taken seriously. Given their birt-rates, they will be a substantial minority in North America within 25-40 years. At this point they will demanding that jibberish ERRR Arabic be recognized as an official language and that shit-head ERRRR sharia law be given the same legitimacy as constitutional law. By the time this happens, many of us will either be dead or infirm but our children and grand-children will have to pay for the mistakes we make in the next few years. First, we need to eliminate immigration from the Islamic world. Second,we need to start deporting muslims who are not citizens right now. Third, we need to keep our eyes on the courts because they will undoubtedly make up politically correct pro-muslim laws as they go along. Constitutions may have to be ammended to prevent liberal judges from doing the jihadists bidding. Fourth, get some guns and learn how to use them, because in the absence of 1,2 and 3, it is only a matter of time before we will be fighting for our freedoms against the jihadists on our own territory.

Son..in which case AIDS has to be running rampant throughout the muslim world...although because homosexuality is widely practiced...but not acknowledged because it is forbidden by the koran, AIDS is probably largely undiagnosed and untreated and of course spread to the women as well...wonder how many die from AIDS and its called something else.
PS..I have absolutly no problem with gay people, in fact muslims could really benefit from queer eye for the straight guy...new clothes, manners and most importantly bathing and grooming.

Well its a term that homosexuals use themselves so evidently it is fine to use. Whats the point of bathing without soap? Homosexuals are not flying planes into buildings, not beheading people in the name of homosexuality and not wanting to take over the world trying to convert us all using terror and force....therefore I have no problem with them, what they do behind closed doors is not my concern...when they start terrorizing the world I will take issue with them...same goes for the jehovas...no one likes them at the door but until they come to my door with a sword and RPG and demand I convert or die, I wont take issue.

The obvious response to this is for people to mount loudspeakers on their houses and blast out Christian music -- but only during the cacophony from the mosque.
Personally, I think "Amazing Grace" played on bagpipes would be appropriate.

Since the day, I learnt that the person, I used to buy goods from is a muslim from Bangladesh, I stopped buying from him.

I try to be a decent person, but to tell the truth, I do not patronize Arabic stores or restaurants. I don't like calling people names and insulting their religion. Klanners, and Islamists do that, I won't.

This town must be near the woods, where they're used to hearing senseless howling a few times a day. Would the amplified broadcast of very large and numerous Christian bells be allowed, especially during the predawn first call to prayer? I do like the bagpipes idea but the bells would be a more traditional expression of religious freedom and besides, the bells represent a particular aversion by the Muslims.

If both parents are carriers, there's a one in four chance each child will have the major form. The only low tech treatment is regular, life long blood transfusions. Bone marrow transplants may help. Gene therapy is also promising.
Hmmm. Here's a possibility for psychological warfare: Start a rumor that although gene therapy will solve this problem, there's one chance in, oh, eight or ten that it may make male children sterile. You see, there's a genetic link between this and sperm production and fixing this problem may cause another problem elsewhere in the gene ...

I had a friend from the Philippines... I asked her about the "Muslim problem" there. She said they do the same sh*t there; they want to make sure everybody knows that they are perfect in every way, that everyone hears their silly little call to prayer. She said it gets blared at REDICULOUS volume, many times a day, including VERY early in the morning.
The intention is obvious: remind the dhimmis that they are inferior and powerless to stop Allah's kids, and to make the infidels move away in order to hasten along the transition to Sharia.

10,000 REPORTED cases...because homosexuality is so strictly forbidden by islam how many males would be willing to be daignosed, no one in the muslim community would believe they contracted it by any other means than homosexual sex, I think this problem is alot bigger than we know, and you are correct, how many women and children die from AIDS and it is called something else. There are treatments for AIDS that allow patients to live longer and healthier but muslims that contract AIDS wouldnt seek any treatment for the most part...and in alot of those countries the death toll is so high because in addition to fighting neighbors, they fight amongst themselves, wonder how many of those young men had AIDS when killed fighting and battling....would be interesting to see how many are actually suffering in hospitals with "unknown" diseases that are actually symptoms of AIDS.

In Fact, what the scientific community has determined is that homosexuality is very likely caused by a chromosomal mutation of the DNA.

Conversations with some of my Saudi coworkers about this (came up about the U.S. homosexual marriges) indicate that the person doing the, umm, "male" part is stigmatized much less than the other partner.
I suspect, though, that most of the AIDS cases occured during vacations to such fun places as Thailand where there is an active sex industry.
I agree that if the "Green Truth" (ex-pat nickname for the Arab News because the outer pages are printed on green newsprint) reports 10,000 cases, the problem is worse.

Also keep in mind that the HIV virus remains dormant for up to 10 years, it's still infecting others, they just are not showing any illhealth yet. The stats I would like to see are here in the states, currently 1 in 5 Americans has an STD such as herpes, genital warts and a whole host of others. When muslims come over here they are trying to screw any female they come across and then they are taking it right back to the middle east. Oh, I also forgot hep B, and C, which kills you in about 10 years due to liver damage. So this means that we should take only those in the profession of prositutes and pay them to find all muslim males and then sleep with them and send them home.

If I may give my two cents here: I would really like it if we stopped bashing gays, and concentrate our focus on bashing Islam. Gays are not the problem, Islam is.
If we are to have an inclusive Anti-Islam movement then it will have to include EVERYONE who is against Islam, including gays, many of whom are beheaded in Saudi Arabia every year.
