Anti-dhimmitude: We must show terrorists we won't be cowed

Excellent observations from Singapore's Defense Minister Teo Chee Hean on the purpose of terrorism and the proper response. From the Straits Times, with thanks to Ali Dashti:

TO SUCCESSFULLY defend ourselves against terrorism, we first have to understand how terror actually strikes. At first glance, terrorism appears to be primarily a physical threat. A building here, an aeroplane there, markets, a train. However, the real target is not physical. It is psychological - it works on the mind. Terrorism strikes fear. It causes paralysis, and it shatters cohesion.
Al-Qaeda, through the 9/11 attacks, aimed to shatter the resolve of America so that they would reel in retreat. And this is how Al-Qaeda is working now to undermine the cohesion of the US-led forces in Iraq, by making threats to behead hostages and by constantly carrying out bombings. They are trying to break the will and cohesion of the coalition.

... the Al-Qaeda groups had offered a truce to the Europeans so that they will have time to reflect and withdraw from Iraq and this battle against Islamic extremists and terrorist groups. They have now declared this truce over and they have identified their next target, which is Italy and its Prime Minister. They want to break the coalition's cohesion.

In the face of such threats, the Koreans and the Japanese have displayed considerable resilience in refusing to bow to the terrorist demands.

The stakes are high in Iraq. Iraq has become the major battlefront in the war on terror. Failure in Iraq will only embolden the extremists and spur them to go on the offensive elsewhere with renewed vigour.

When you look at the fact that the great Mujahadeens of Islam cover the faces and murder woman and children,or even behead victims that are tied up and out numbered about 5-1 ,I'm not really shaking in my boots yet.
The real gutless cowards are the girly-Muslim men in American that won't denounce the terrorism in fear of being killed by Jihadists.Looks like Muslim men have fled to America to hide behind
th real men that know how to defend women and children. Muhammed helped this cowards by making up a verse in the "Cowards Manual" (Quran to most people) that Muslims are forebidden to kill other Muslims,unless they are apostates or defame Muhammed.

If Islam is the real Faith of God and truely holy and sacred,the why do so many Muslims I meet
suffer from serious bad-breath or a cough induced
body oder that seems like they haven't bathed in month's. Despite what my parents experienced in the depression,I learned to be aware of personal hygene and read about the benefits of regular showers and teeth cleaning. Some of the teaching was from books in Health classes in High School.

I guess some Muslims took it personally,but that's the idea,hygene is taugh incase of backgrounds where fresh water was scarce and body oder was acceptable.

How different would the situation be today :

1) If, instead of electing an ostrich after the Madrid bombings, the spanish had re-elected a hawk & sent MORE troops to join the battle AGAINST THE TERRORISTS.

2) If, instead of a hand-wringing capitulation, the phillipines had sent MORE troops to join the battle AGAINST THE TERRORISTS.

3) If the germans would take their balls out of safekeeping & strap them back on and send ANY troops to join the battle AGAINST THE TERRORISTS.

4) If the french would grow some balls and send ANY troops to join the battle AGAINST THE TERRORISTS.

5) If we had taken out al-jazeera & stopped the stream of bogus hateful lies & used OUR media to expose the evil that we are fighting & use this truth AGAINST THE TERRORISTS.

6) If the communist/socialist left would cease their "blame america for all ills that have ever existed in the world" dogma & join us in the fight AGAINST THE TERRORISTS.

7) If we dropped michael moore, the giant pig, out the back of a c-130 from say, i don't know - how does 10,000' sound, right ON TOP OF THE TERRORISTS!!!!!
