UK Town's police force help residents find the "real" Islam

I just wrote yet another column about dhimmis presuming to discern what is the true Islam and what isn't. It should appear tomorrow somewhere; meanwhile, in Lancashire, the aptly-titled "Pc Julian Andrews" is leading efforts to justify the ways of Islam to non-Muslims. I trust they will invite someone from Al-Muhajiroun to these discussions. From the BBC, with thanks to Susan:

The Preston True Colours of Islam Project aims to encourage non-Muslims to attend mosques and speak to the Muslim community about their religion.

The events, which will last a week, have been organised by the Preston Imams-Police Forum.

They aim to tackle issues including women's rights, culture and Islam's contribution to the city's community.

Pc Julian Andrews, of Lancashire Police's Minorities team, said: "The aim of the week is to introduce non-Muslims to the true nature of Islam by exploring and dispelling some of the myths that surround it."

Three of Preston's mosques will be holding open evenings next week where people can watch prayers, with an English translation.

The events will conclude with a seminar at the city's Canterbury Hall where people can raise questions with leading members of the Muslim community.

Pc Andrews added: "We hope that many non-Muslims will take this unique opportunity to have their questions answered and have any worries or concerns addressed...."

"....Pc Julian Andrews, of Lancashire Police's Minorities team". What law is pc Andrews enforcing here? Better not ask, it probably begins with an "S".

While we're asking questions, why is this "team" introducing the host community to muslim immigrants, when it should be working the other way around - guest to host. The introductions might run along the lines of, "..not in my house, pal".

It won't work, as the Koran, and news stories from every corner of the globe, contradict the happy-clappy Labour Party version of Islam.

Hopefully, some idiot will take this to mean, "Come to our mosque and tell us something about your non-Muslim religion." Then let PC Andrews collect the mob-mutilated body of the non-Muslim that will be dumped outside the door of the "holy" mosque.

The True Colours of Islam. As in "Now you are showing your true colors"? As none of this imam outreach stuff will have the slightest thing to do with the 115-odd verses in the Qur'an about Jihad, and certainly not with 9:29, and since Muhammad as a role model, nine-year-old Aisha and all, will not be discussed, nor the Treaty of al-Hudaibiyya, nor the Muslim ban on free and skeptical inquiry, nor the Muslim ban on statuary and paintings of living creatures, nor the Qur'an-based misogyny, nor what the "strong" hadith of Bukhari and Muslim have to tell us, what will this be except a passport to ignorance?

Time to "do the police in different voices." What about suggesting a real course in real Islam, as taught in the schools of Egypt, say, and Saudi Arabia, and Iran. What about a real introduction to the Shari'a, which so many Muslims in the West look forward someday to imposing on those whom, as long as they can keep fooling them and misleading them -- in foolish enterprises such as this -- they hope to overwhelm through demography (immigration, and enormous families) and conversion. HOw many of the innocent who show up for these gatherings will have properly informed themselves as to the real contents of the Qur'an or the equally important hadith? How many will listen to the siren song of the trotted-out ladies who insist they are delighted to wear the hijab, the jilbaab, even the naqib, that horizontal slit through which they are expected to dumbly apprehend the universe.

Is there no limit to Infidel idiocy? Will someone at least insist that there be reciprocal visits, and that perhaps Muslims ought to visit, ought perhaps to be required to visit, Hindu temples, Jewish synagogues, and Christian churches, and listen to services, and be asked to learn at least as much about other religions, if they -- the sole declared opponents of "pluralism" except insofar as that "pluralism" permits them to continue to ply their trade in Jihadist wares until such time as the need for the protection offered by Western pluralism is no longer, and their real attitudes can be revealed.

How about exhibiting at least a minimum of loyalty to the indigenous Infidels, instead of using state-funded programs (these police) to placate Muslim demands, Muslim "grievances" by participating in, actively collaborating in, what can only be a hideous and systematic campagin -- "shared monotheism and abrahamic faiths and we revere Jesus and MOses" and all, every phony and ridiculous syllable of it.

Where is Rikki??? I think he should attend with a whole list of questions to be put forth directly to the imams. He should also provide a copy of the questions & the concerns behind the asking of those questions to this Pc Andrews & the mayor, the town council & the residents that have this infestation spreading around them.

Posted by: Jim [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2004 1:48 PM

Dang! I'm in the wrong country and won't be able to attend. I would so very much like to discuss the rights of the 16 year old Iranian girl who had the noose placed around her neck by the mullah her condemned her for her sharp mouth.

Um...so does this mean that they are going to be preaching about things they usually do?...or are they going to become "peaceful" when the infidels are there...or are they just going to have an english translation that's different than what's being said?

After the go, watch and listen, they still have to ask the correct questions: "What does it mean?" "How will I be affected?" "What does this mean for my community, my country, my religion..." Who will dare to tell the truth? Surely not the immams that don't want the locals to know about the Koranic verses that advocate their destruction, nor the history of the spread of Islam, nor of Islam's present spread by virtue of the bomb.

The police may sponsor this, but they have no idea what it means nor into what they are getting!

Though living in London now,I come from a town very near Preston in Lancashire. My home town is Bolton. Those of you who have been watching the Olympics may recognise the name - Amir Khan, the 17 year old silver medal winner comes from Bolton. He may be second generation Pakistani or maybe third - his parents or grandparents will be, or will have been Muslim. Their loyalties, at least where sport is concerned, are totally to the UK and they are proud that their son has won a medal for the UK. (He had a choice whether to compete for Pakistan, but chose Britain.)My parents who still live in Bolton say that all their neighbours and friends, white, Pakistani or whatever have been cheering for this young man.

My point is that people have a choice. Muslims can choose where their loyalties lie just as non-Muslims can. It is not inevitable that Muslims breed like rabbits and take over European countries. It is something that can be dealt with.

Lancashire people are very down to earth. The people of Preston who have doubts about this latest initiative should go along to this meeting with their questions. Serious questions that need to be answered, none of this PC nonsense. It is not illegal to question Islam. Not yet!

Interested,

"Yet" comes soon
when the crescent moon
hangs over your head
and the shade of the sword
blots out the light of freedom
as twilight descends on the united kingdom.

They've had open days at local mosques here in various cities of Australia. Yeah, all nice and lovely and everything, but what concerns people is what is being perpetrated worldwide, in the name of Islam - you know, the beheadings and bombings and stuff that follow the shout of "Allahu Akbar!"

The terrorised schoolkids in Russia now. The 12 Nepali recently murdered. The buses blown up the other day in Israel, the subway, the this, the that, and the list goes on and on and on.

Some airy-fairy love-in at the local mosque ain't gonna help us understand all that, unless we somehow end up brainwashed at these sessions and start to agree with mass-murder and lying, and intolerance and hatred for others, which has to be coming from somewhere. And me seems to think it's coming from mosques. I wouldn't step foot in one if it were the only shelter during a hurricane.

Eh?

Since when was the MAJORITY told to learn about the MINORITY? Anyway, Where are the similar events "encouraging" Mulsims to learn about the STATE RELIGION of the country that they have kindly been allowed to settle in? Where are the lessons in Christianity and Judaism for starters?

I suggest this waste of space in a police uniform goes back to doing what taxpayers are paying for and learn how to catch the bad guys… (or no doubt his version would be to hold hands with them in therapy sessions)

I hope this is not true....

The BBC annoys the hell out of me. I just bawled them out for reporting this morning on the radio about the "New French Law BANNING headscarves in Schools" coming into effect. This is a lie they know very well what the new ruling is. I could go as far as saying this kind of reporting is incitement to racial hatred.

I am embarrassed to be British

I agree that this isn't the job of the police. There should be more opportunities to question Islam - properly.

Slightly off the point, looks like 'Will Cummins' has got the push from the British Council for writing about the black heart of Islam. Hope he now gets to write full time for the Telegraph:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,1295363,00.html

This story seems a little strange. If your name is Harry Cummins and you want to write under a pseudonym, why pick Will Cummins?

Have just sent Feedback to BBC describing 'True Colours of Islam' as BLACK,BLACK,BLACK...
