'They're killing Christians'

"The motive is not clear," say Canadian officials, although they say they are investigating reports of persecution of Christians in Iraq. I expect they will officially admit it is happening around the time snowballs freeze in hell. From CP:

OTTAWA -- The sister of a Canadian killed in Baghdad this week said he was murdered because he was a Christian. She said the Canadian government has offered no help in returning Munir Toma's body to his adopted country for burial.

"He was killed because he was Christian," she said in a phone interview from Detroit yesterday.

She said relatives in Baghdad told her a grisly tale of how Toma and Andrew Shmakov died.

"They're killing a lot of Christians," she said.

The two men were leaving a construction company they had established to take advantage of Iraqi reconstruction opportunities when they were attacked by gunmen, Shary Toma recounted.

"He got in his car and after they got in, before he put the car into drive, they jumped on the top of the car and they shot," she said. "He managed to put the car into drive after he's been shot from the roof and four cars followed him. The four cars, they tried to ambush him and after they ambushed him, they got out of their car and they just shot them."

Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Marie-Christine Lilkoff said the department is communicating with Toma's family about repatriating his body. She said because Canada has no embassy in Iraq, it is forced to rely on the co-operation of its allies and local authorities.

'MOTIVE UNCLEAR'

The closest Canadian Embassy is in the Jordanian capital Amman.

Lilkoff said Shary Toma's statement that her brother was killed because he was a Christian cannot be confirmed.

"The motive is not clear," she said.

However, she said, Canada has expressed concern about reports Christians are being targeted in Iraq.

Shary Toma said her brother's wife and six-year-old daughter are in danger from the same killers.

Of course the Canadian government offered no help. Liberals have their own problems with Christians. Even Liberals who Are christians (small 'c') have problems with Christians. One only has to look at the likes of Algore to see that. And they believe they have every right to pontificate in churches, but *deity deleted* help the Republican who does so!

With luck I shall have my absentee ballot in two weeks.

Christians and Christianity are at risk all over the world from various forces as many posters have stated. It should be no surprise that Christians would be killed by Muslims that revile all non-Muslims and offer than only dhimmitude or death.

When Iraq was under Saddam, Iraqi christians were protected from muslim persecution.

And also, why aren't christian fundamentalists in the US talking about the persecution of Iraqi christians?

Our federal Liberals are on the edge of allowing Shariah Law in Canada, they don't won't to anger Muslims to the point they resort to
Jihad to get their way.
Muslim groups have managed to have Islam be taught in the public schools, this while they claim any religious symbols shouldn't be brought in the public schools.
Muslims have killed Christmas pageants in schools, they killed people at work saying "Merry Christmas",and an Islamic website posted a notice to avoid responding to Christians that wish them a "Merry Christmas" .
Seem the Muslims didn't mind the paid-day off
for the Christmas break, but it's offensive to Islam to accept Christ as the Messiah for the followers of Christ.
Just try to say anything negative about Muhammed, you'll get death threats and even terrorism threats. The Hijab is thier way to force Islam on others,it promotes a faith in the workplace,in publically promotes a belief and
its brought into the schools to promote Islam.

Check out the link below,Shariah Law is the
goal for CAIR and the Saudis still fund Whahabism
seminars in Canada. The site indicates Shariah will be applied the same way as in the Madrasa's
around the world.
CAIR has been telling a BIG-LIE that Shariah will liberate females and adhere to Canada's Charter of Rights,CAIR will challenge the very first ruling on a religious grounds and demand
that Islamic law trump Canada's laws.

I posted this on Jihadwatch. But its more apt here, I think:

The word 'Crusade' when translated into Arabic spells "war of the cross". It's precisely why, when in the immediate aftermath of 9-11, president Bush labelled the War on terror 'a crusade against terror', leftists-pinkos-dhimmis et al howled the house down in horror demanding immediate retractment et al.....tch, tch

How terribly unfortunate. The war on terror probably couldn't have a better name than "crusade against jihad".

Of course Jihadists are killing Christians! Christianity not Islam is growing fast as Chinese
convert in their millions - there is 1.2 Billion Muslims [no matter how they inflate figures] and
over 2 BILLION CHRISTIANS!! Muslims are exceedingly annoyed and jealous of these statistics, despite killings and persecution by Islam Christians are surging ahead in numbers game.

FAITH UNDER FIRE
Iraqi Christians
face persecution
Threatened with torture, burning, bombing for not joining 'resistance'

Posted: June 25, 2004
© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com

Assyrian Christians recently liberated from Saddam Hussein's regime are suffering a string of deadly attacks church leaders believe are religiously motivated.

Christians and churches have received letters in Arabic threatening that if they don't follow Islamic practice and support "the resistance," they will face the consequences: "torture, and burning or exploding the house with the family in it," says Elizabeth Kendal, researcher for the World Evangelical Alliance Religious Liberty Commission, in a report published by the Assist News Service.

Mandaean Christians, who follow the teachings of John the Baptist, have been receiving the same threats and suffering the same violence, Kendal says.

The unchecked Islamic aggression is forcing the Christians to flee, she states, citing some examples.

On June 7, four masked men drove into the Christian Assyrian Quarters of the Dora district of Baghdad and opened fire on Assyrians going to work. Four were killed and several others wounded.

In the afternoon, the same day, three Assyrian women were killed in another drive-by shooting as they returned home from working at the Coalition Provisional Authority.

On 22 March, an elderly Assyrian couple was murdered in the Assyrian district. The wife was beaten to death and the husband had his throat cut.

As WorldNetDaily reported, Ken Joseph Jr., an Assyrian who directs Assyrianchristians.com, says several developments that "bode ill for Christians in Iraq are causing believers to flee the nation."

Facing next Wednesday's deadline for transfer of power, a temporary constitution that reads Islam is the "Official Religion of the State," and the failure to receive even one position on the Executive Council and only one ministry post – the Christians of Iraq are voting with their feet, says Joseph.

Kendal says the Assyrian Christians greatly fear that the history of abandonment and massacre of their minority group is about to repeat itself.

Historians regard the Assyrians as the indigenous people of Iraq. In biblical times, their homeland was centered around the Nineveh plains in Upper Mesopotamia, now northern Iraq, where they were visited by the prophet Jonah. The Assyrian Church of the East was founded in AD 33. Some 600 years later Arab invaders put the Assyrians under Muslim domination.

Invasions over the centuries nearly eliminated them. The Assyrians fought for the Allies in World War I and were promised autonomy in their homeland upon victory. But they were abandoned to the mercy of the Ottoman Turks when the British mandate was lifted in 1932, resulting in the massacre of two-thirds of the population.

In Saddam Hussein's secular state, the Assyrian remnant suffered severely under his discriminatory ethnic policy of Arabization.

Christians Targeted in Iraq!
Massacre in Baghdad: Children 6 and 16 Killed at Home!

The Assyrian Christians were not killed by the Ottoman Turks in 1933, but by assorted Arab and other Muslims. As Christians were no real threat to Saddam Hussein, and the only real threat came from the Shi'a clergy, he was not particularly cruel to them, and even provided a certain check (as do the Alawites in Syria) on the Muslims. This, however, is not a problem that can be solved -- and the American troops should not be expected to remain to protect those Iraqi Christians. They will have to either fend for themselves, as they have for some time, or move to Syria, where for reasons of its own -- think only of the Muslim massacre of 83 Alawite military cadets in Haleb (Aleppo), back in 1979 or so, the Alawite regime offers Christians some security (in what other Muslim state does the government close for Christmas?). That is why, in making Bashir al-Assad an offer he cannot refuse, and in destroying his airforce, missiles and so on, but leaving him rifles, jeeps, and tanks to put down any Muslim rebellion within Syria, the American government should not repeat the folly of Iraq to "bring democracy" but to allow the Alawites to stay in power -- on condition that they remove their troops from Lebanon, and stop all support for Hezbollah.

Here is a link to an attempt by CAIR to control the media, seems CAIR doesn't like it when Islamists boast about their power to inflict death through terrorism.
CAIR's main complaint is that the thugs in Iraq and Palestine that murder for Allah should not be reported as "Terrorists",I guess when 5 Churches get bombed by non-Christians you can't call them terrorists, even though their goal is to inflict a mental terror as to get people living in fear.
CAIR should show more concern and compassion for the innocent victims of Jihad, rather than trying
to censor the media as if they're back home in a Islamic State.

Just a little hint about emailing CAIR,since ever email is considered "Muslim-Bashing" and
usually drags in the Police to trace them.
I suggest that American's email the Canadian
branch of CAIR that has no power over foreign emails, and Canadian's email CAIR USA since they
can't demand a trace on a out-of-country email.

CAIR loves to bitch and whine about all the Islamophobia they see in a non-Muslim Country, but they still live here for the freedoms and liberties someone else died for.

CAIR Canada's email is canada@cair-net.org
and the site is www.caircan.ca ,they have achived items and a mission statement that clearly state they want to educate Canadian
on Islam.
No thanks CAIR,I have a faith and Islam won't
enrichen my life based on what I've seen going on outside of NorthAmerica. It's not your job to
force Islam on 31 Million people, just as you would be outraged if Christians tried to hold seminars in a Mosque.

If CAIR keeps having their feelings hurt by the
term "Terrorist",than tell the Muslim terrorists to stop calling themselves terrorists.

Voltaire: Christian fundamentalists in America do talk about the persecution of Christians in Iraq and elsewhere. It's just that nobody listens to us. By the way, send my regards to Fritz der Grossen. Have you two mended fences since he kicked you out of Sans Souci?

Motive unclear? But of course the Canadian govt will never even suggest what the motive could be. That might put a certain ethnic minority (for now) in a bad light, and you can't do that. Especially not in Canada. They truly believe in the ridiculous myth that all cultures are equal and wonderful (especially non-white non-euro cultures), and will stubbornly believe that til their last breath. Besides, Muslims are such a large and forceful voting group now, and the libs will never do anything that might piss that bunch off. It could mean loss of power. This is what happens when your immigration and refugee program is a ludicrous mess like Canada's. The immigration/refugee program ceases to be for the benefit of the country, and becomes a benefit to the politicians that let them in willy-nilly, in droves. The newcomers start calling the shots.
