Carl I. Hagen continues to speak out in Norway. Note that his concerns are not based on race, but on the possibility that such a party would try to advance Sharia in Norway. From Nettavisen, with thanks to Ali Dashti:
«I’m convinced that it’s just a matter of time before we get a political party based on Islam,» Hagen stated in an interview the TV 2 Nyhetene. «Of course, I don’t know if it will be a moderate or fundamental party, but I’m keeping an eye on the international expansion the Islamic fundamentalism is organizing and the coordination of Muslims in Europe as well, and I’m convinced that it will come to Norway too. It may take five or ten years, but it will come.»A different Norway
Hagen said that he sees that visit of the controversial Pakistani politician Qasi Hussein Ahmad in August as a sign that Norway is also included in this international trend of strengthening Islamic fundamentalism.
«He works for the establishment of sharia law, and it’s strange if he not tries to stimulate it in Norway,» Hagen said. «There are many Muslims in Norway, and probably also some fundamentalists that keep out of view. It’s only a question of time before someone decides to become a representative in governmental organs through a political party.»
In his worst nightmare, Hagen fears that Islamic fundamentalists may get elected to the Norwegian parliament.
«This will be something I will fight as long as I live,» Hagen said. «If we get a party built on Islamic laws of sharia and a completely different set of values, then this will be a completely different Norway then what we inherited from our forefathers.»

Hagan has brought up a very significant point. He mentions "the Muslims that keep out of view." In the world jihadist movement, the Muslims that keep out of view are those that fund the violence and the other means of Muslim infiltration: schools and universities, banks, charities, etc.
We focus on jihad and violence, but, in truth, the Muslims that keep out of view are much more dangerous than the terror bombers.

An overreaction in the least.
Please let's consider the facts. Are Muslims going to gain 50% of the power with muslims no less than 10% of the population?
A clear sign of overreaction (i.e. fear).

bugmenot,
In a parliamentary style government in a small nation, small parties can weild enormous political power, far out of proportion to their numbers. An Islamist party, holding the balance of majoirty in a coalition with a much-larger Socialist or other leftist party, could do a lot of damage.
Thank God the US doesn't have parliamentary style democracy!

"An overreaction in the least."
Not at all. Muslims try to close down criticism of their religion even when they are only a tiny minority. The first country to ban Salman Rushdie's "Satanic Verses" was India, which is 87% non-Muslim.
Some even want the UN to declare criticism of Muhammad an international crime. No, this is not paranoia.

Carl Hagen as Prime minister would be the most effective way of halting Norway from becoming a Dhimmi State. That's if Muslim Terrorists don't assassinate him first...

Check out the toronto star article about CAIR trying to censor the media in Canada,CAIR is offended that the terrorists in Iraq are refered to as terrorists. CAIR is also spearheading the
push for Shariah Law in Canada.
Our new Election rules give public funding to any party, the amount is based on 1.75 per vote.
It is true that in Canada's parliamentarian system a Islamic party could make Governing
a real hell on earth.
Once Shariah is accepted then a Islamic party will be built, remember,Muslim look and their
grand childrens duty to make an Islamic run world and Shariah according to the quran.

Hagens fear can be a useful/benefitial emotion as long as it doesn't cloud reason. We fear something becuase we think ahead into the future about what might happen. Fear is a vital protection mechanism that has evolved in humans to ensure thei survival. We should not forget that. Hagen is fearful not becuase of Islamists are controlling the balance of power in Sweden now...no he said his fear is of the future. If we do not fear something it is only human to ignore it. Ignorance has always been humanities greatest failing. Look anywhere where there is a muslim majority in a country...the numbers of people who support islamists vary... but it tends to range between 10 percent and 90 percent. That is a dangerous range of variatation. As another person here said just 10 percent of an islamist vote can paralyse a democracies parliament or heavily influence it for evil. We should be rational when thinking about these facts... and if fear motivates us to protect society from islamists then that fear is benefitial.

Age does not necessarily ensure wisdom, maturity, mental clarity, & the ability to understand the whole picture. Followers of Islam still dream through Islamic fairytales & fantasies of the 7th Century world. Muslims have grown accustomed to believing they already have all the answers in the Koran, no sense reforming the book. Muslims understand the content of the Koran as fact.
Non-Muslims are aware, the world is dynamic & evolving, and no abstract (of 7th Century insight) is able to keep up with current times & ideas, wisdom, maturity, & mental clarity. Old beliefs are, many times, later disproved with the introduction of new knowledge & awareness. An article just off the press becomes old rather quickly. All facts in the article can be proven false, a short time after publication.
This is the reason, Islam will never be allowed to dominate the West. We know their primitive ideas. Know everything about the 7th Century, & you will understand Islam. Muslims have not changed; you only need to look at how their Islamic societies operate. They dare not create new rules; their Allah may be displeased.
We are heading toward a crucial time in history. This whole Muslim race may need to be converted or destroyed. Job # 1 is to get them out of Western lands. Muslims require; Sharia Law must cover all countries, one way or another. They are not open to negotiation, & are not able to see any other vision for our future world.
The Western world will wait for the day, to respond to Islam, for the last time. A great task is approaching. Understand, your Muslim neighbors are all part of the larger plot.
The more you read about the despicable regime in Iran, the more you realize where Islam intends to take the world. At this critical time, the Islamic threat is not realized by all Westerners. This must soon change, then Westerners will understand, they must destroy Islam before Islam destroys everything our forefathers built.
The war or terror is the beginning of the war on Islam.

The sad thing about this is that Hagen and his party are called extreme right and mostly hated and feared in Northern Europe. Anyone who perceives Islamic fundamentalism as any kind of possible threat is dismissed as a Nazi - there is just no difference seen between criticizing Islam and wanting all "foreigners" out (or dead). Some time ago, two Norweigan professors, one of them a psychologist who has worked with immigrants for years, suggested that newcomers be taught 600 words of the country's language and something about its customs and values. Needless to say, the professors were labeled racists in Scandinavia, their suggestion was called "dangerous and unrealistic". With constant warnings of growing Islamophobia in most mainstream papers, all nice people would probably welcome the prospective Islamic party as a positive sign of multiculti diversity.

Sharia law is absolutely and fundamentally incompatible with a free democratic society. To consider allowing one section of immigrants to set the foundation of a medieval society which follows laws not of the land in which it lives, which are contrary to fundamental human rights is unacceptable.
Norway is a land which through benevolence, generosity and wonderful but incredible naivety has allowed musims to crawl out of the failed islamic heaven that they paradoxically had to leave and settle here in their droves. God knows why immigrants go anywhere else. They get money thrown at them here, each time they have a baby the state gives a big fat cheque! It is wonderland.
Some issues: bugmenot. I think you need to be enlightened
You forget this is not a stable population in terms of numbers!
I live in Norway, I have done so for 12 years. The country has a population of 4.2 m people. The breeding rate of people of Pakistani origin alone in the Oslo region where 50% of the population lives is between 4:1 and 5:1 against the indigenous white population. You do not have to be Einstein to work out the demographic trend over the next 10 , 20, 30 years.
A newspaper article a couple of years ago indicated of 3000 marriages ( It may have been 5000 but I do not remember exactly), of immigrants recorded over I think a 2 year period, 19.04% married people of their own ethnic background already living in Norway, 80% went to their country of origin to find a wife/ husband, and 3....... yes 3 whole people married ethnic Norwegians. Now! Personally I wouldn’t want to marry a Norwegian either, but that is beside the point!J
I do not live in Oslo yet I can drive down any street and not only see large numbers of people to be immigrant, but obviously muslim. Seeing a woman in a burkah or at the very least a hajib NOT pushing a pram is an exception. Pushing a pram and pregnant is more likely and pushing a pram pregnant with one 18mo- 2 years old walking along the side is very common. These people are NOT part of Norwegian society. I suppose I can now be labelled a racist because I see the changes in very recent times. Rape of white girls by immigrants happens even in the diddlesquat town where I live. We have areas of town where white people either do not live at all or are significantly in the minority. The majority of prison occupants are non-white in this country. It is a little funny but more that 50% of the white occupants are there for driving offences… drink driving and doing more than 30% over the speed limit…. Which is 55mph on what they call motorways
Carl E Hagen may I also point out has 24-hour police protection in his own country because he has asked questions about this "religion of peace"… I may not agree with much of his politics but he is in all honesty very guarded in his comments. …..but then again what voice do I have because I am obviously a racist because I dare to make the above observations!

The dumb Muslims think sharia will come to America too. Assholes, every one of them. One thing people forget is that when a nation goes to war, they send their soldiers, not the entire population.
Muslims in America keep their mouthes shut, and don't fight, but that doesn't mean for a second that they're not wanting Islamic domination here, which by the way, will never happen. Got it, Hoops?
I hope to cross paths with Hoops someday. For on that day, Hoops will taste first hand my American made boot as the treads scrape across his forked tongue. I encourage everyone that reads this to speak out in public against Islam if that's what you feel, because this is a free nation, with freedom of speech.
Let everyone you know that Islam is destined to fail because it's driven by illiterate haters of freedom and democracy. It's driven by the teachings of an insane child molester and killer. Everyone should advertise what a load of shit this cult really is, like the story I've attached.
Islam Sign Outside Latrobe-Area Church Stirs Controversy
POSTED: 11:44 am EDT September 17, 2004
UPDATED: 12:04 pm EDT September 17, 2004
WHITNEY, Pa. -- A Westmoreland County church has put up a controversial sign, blaming the Islam religion for the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
"To really remember 9/11, you must remember Islam is the enemy," says a sign outside the non-denominational Living Hope Church in Whitney.
Pastor Keith Tucci will keep the sign up for about one more week, then replace it with another one.
The church has a congregation of 200 people.
