Texas: Muslim Hate-Crime Accuser Charged With Arson

Ming the Merciless, who kindly alerted me to this article, notes that CAIR's Ibrahim "Frustrated" Hooper "says he was assured in the past by Abunar that he had nothing to do with the fire. Hmmm....Why was that a topic between Hooper and Abunar? Did Hooper suspect that the guy was an arsonist all along? How did the topic of the so-called victim's own guilt come up in their conversations? There may be an explanation, but why was Hooper and CAIR hassling the police and demanding hate crime investigations in a case like this?" I think we have just found more questions that Poor Ibrahim won't answer. From the New York Times, with thanks to Ming:

McALLEN, Tex., Sept. 29 - The owner of a Middle Eastern meat market who had said he was the victim of a hate crime in this border town was arrested and arraigned Tuesday on a felony arson charge that he set fire to his own business.

The man, Amjad Abunar, had complained that "Go Home" was twice spray-painted on a door of his Al Madinah Market before a fire on Aug. 6 that gutted the small delicatessen. Only last week, the graffiti and fire were cited as evidence by a Washington advocacy group that hate crimes against Muslims were on the rise in Texas.

Bond for Mr. Abunar was set at $150,000, and he remained in jail on Wednesday.

Representatives of the advocacy group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which had complained that McAllen officials were not investigating the fire as a possible hate crime, said they were stunned Wednesday to learn of Mr. Abunar's arrest.

Ibrahim Hooper, a council official in Washington, said Mr. Abunar had assured him he had nothing to do with setting the fire.

*LOL*

This was a funny piece, to be sure.

When now can we see Mr Hooper set fire to his offices after spray painting "America hates you" on his gates for a day? Or even better, inflicting self-injury in order to claim millions in damages from the state to build new islamic centers with? Hey, this way, you can also get to park at the best places, dude!(:-)

Taking this as precedent, all alleged hate-crimes opught to be investigated with the possibility of self-infliicted bogus charges kept sharply in focus.

There soon will become an American Jihad against all moslems who pray for our ruination and mingle in our society. They should all leave for their own sake. These people lie about everything wich is ok per the koran.I work in customer service and have had the opportunity to meet a lot of moslems. My service techniques have changed with these losers in that I approach them as liars and maggotts,I in turn tell them when they are lying to me and that here in America we will not tolerate this one bit.

Americans, a fair and generous people, are tired of the Muslim con, tired of hearing Muslims complain of victimization and racism by people that merely ask questions or look at them with suspicion...

Is he is just another moderate Moslem?
Such a peaceful religion! And they are so honest.
Don’t believe your lying eyes.
I don’t think Islam can be reformed, 1400 years of brainwashing!

I think a case can made where Islam can be show as unconstitutional.

No Islam in the United States of America!

It seems that muslims are born liars. Yet our media keep giving them and their deathcult the benefit of the doubt. Only yesterday the dhimmi BBC ran a story saying that an uncensored letter from one of the "British" terrorists held in Gitmo "proved" there was tortue in Camp X-Ray. Yeah right because a lying muslim terrorist said it it must be true ! Of course if a Christian held captive in Saudi or Iran or any other muslim hellhole sent such a letter the BBC would ignore it.

When will it be time for mass deportations. At what point will our populations reach "critical mass" when it comes to realizing the dangers of islam and muslim immigration. We need to sow the seeds of knowledge (self-preservation) faster and wider.

LOVE LIFE - HATE ISLAM !!!

A small suggestion to JW/DW posters

I'm not that content that we have adopted muslim nomenclature to describing ourselves. It is a tacit admission of accepting a dhimmi status albeit in a tangential way.

I think it would be appropriate that references to dar al harb, non-muslim world, kaffir world etc, be replaced by the more correct 'civilised world'.

I see no reason why we should adopt muslim terms, many of these derogatory, to describe ourselves, despite the irony in their usage.

As usual problem lies in Koran and abominable character of their bloody Prophet. Murderous Mo lied and deceived all the time so THAT MAKES IT OKAY! This Muslim arsonist can claim he was only following his religion...

CAIR has a history of defending the rule of law that your innocent until proven guilty, but how do they know some vandalism is a "Hate-crime" when nobody has been arrested to prove their faith or bigotry.
This "Victim" envy by CAIR seems to be an affront to democracy and freedom, even CAIR Canada
tells Muslims to demand the Police report their complaints as a "Hate-Crime" and then CAIR uses that to claim Islamophobia is on the rise.
While beheadings were going on in Iraq and Churches were being bombed,CAIR posted a "Hate-Crime" against a Mosque in Hamilton Ontario Canada just because it had been hit with a raw egg twice in two weeks.
During a spate of attacks on the Jewish community a Muslim business was fire-bombed and a Swastika
was left on a inside wall, the Police were confused on the motive and later laid charges agaist the owner, seems he wanted a insurance bailout for his failing business.
CAIR loved the story until the arson turned out to be the Muslim owner commiting insurance fraud, also there have been bogus attacks on Muslims in Universities, there always seems to be that little piece of evidence and proof that elude
Police.
After the 9/11 attack female Muslims were reporting to Imam's at Mosques that people were looking at them as if they were Terrorists, the Government was petitioned to do something to stop this perception that a Hijab equals terrorism.

BTW,below is a link to a story in a Canadian paper,Muslims held a protest at which then video taped and took pictures of tall structures because of a Muslim that was arrested in Egypt
with this type of video he claimed was for his son.
As someone that lives near the CN tower,I am aware of video's you can buy that show the history of the tower and a time-lapse view of it being built. This group of Muslims from the C.I.C. fail to mention that he was also video taping a Subway station around the time of terrorism in Europe dealing with public transit.

The Boy who Cried "Muslim"
by Michelle Malkin (October 9, 2001)

Summary: After 9-11, Nasim continued diverting attention away from the real victims of violence and toward his radical pro-Muslim agenda. He took matters into his own hands -- literally -- by faking not one, but two hate crimes.

[www.CapitalismMagazine.com] This is the story of the boy who cried "Muslim." It's a story about the obscene exploitation of tragedy, the abuse of public sympathy, and the trashing of truth and honor under the guise of promoting tolerance.

But this is no fable. It's a true-life, hoax-crime caper:

Meet Ahmad Saad Nasim. This 23-year-old Muslim, originally from Saudi Arabia, has zealously promoted his religion and ethnic identity at the University of Arizona (UA) and Arizona State University (ASU) for the past four years. Among the subjects of Nasim's campus rants: opposing sanctions on Iraq ("I don't give a damn if Iraq has weapons or not"); lambasting Catholic flyers in dorm halls; pushing "diversity training"; and demanding "respect" for Muslim victims of alleged discrimination.

In the fall of 1999, Nasim discussed the issue of racial bias in UA's campus newspaper when the FBI detained two Saudi Arabian students at an Ohio airport. According to news reports, an America West pilot said that one of the two suspects "jiggled the cockpit door handle and asked suspicious questions during the flight." The FBI interrogated the men, who both attended schools in Arizona, and released them without pressing charges. Instead of crediting the pilot and agents for taking responsible precautions against suspicious behavior, Nasim (then president of UA's Muslim Student Association) pulled out his well-worn bigotry card.

"Whenever there's a plane crash or terrorist act," Nasim was quoted on Nov. 22, 1999, in UA's campus newspaper, "Arabics (sic) are always held suspicious."

Intentionally or not, Arab-American agitators like Nasim gave cover to bloodthirsty foreign jihadists who lay in wait on our soil. Frequent harangues about alleged anti-Muslim bias hampered the ability of law enforcement to monitor scheming Islamic fundamentalists. In the wake of the 9-11 terrorist attacks on America by cockpit-crashing Arab Muslims (at least two of whom reportedly took flying lessons in Arizona), Nasim's protestations about racial profiling now seem more eerily nefarious than simply naive.

And here we come to the ugly climax of our tale.

After 9-11, Nasim continued diverting attention away from the real victims of violence and toward his radical pro-Muslim agenda. He took matters into his own hands -- literally -- by faking not one, but two hate crimes. On Sept. 13, Nasim told ASU campus police he was assaulted and pelted with eggs in a parking lot while assailants screamed "Die, Muslim, die!" Administration officials and classmates earnestly condemned the attack, which received national media coverage. Over 50 Muslim students left the ASU campus as a result of Nasim's claim.

Nasim basked in attention. On Sept. 18, he publicly described "being slapped and punched on my back." He outrageously equated himself with the dead victims of terrorism at the World Trade Center and Pentagon, and he linked himself to recent "hate crime" incidents involving Middle Eastern victims: "A Pakistani man was shot in Texas, a Sikh Indian and an Arab were shot in Mesa, and I was beaten in Tempe ... I might get shot at some gas station, too! It all depends on fate!"

Nasim confessed to fabricating the assault when cops interviewed him last week after another admittedly staged performance. On Sept. 27, a custodian found Nasim in a library bathroom stall. He had the word "Die" written on his forehead, a plastic bag tied over his head, and a racist note stuffed in his mouth. But, as Lt. John Sutton of the ASU campus police told me, "Something was not right." The bathroom door was locked from the inside, Nasim's hands were free, and he suffered no symptoms of suffocation.

Tom McDermott, a UA law graduate student, wondered whether Nasim's treachery was "a pathetic grab for attention or a means to advance a political agenda by dividing campuses along racial lines, which is a favorite tool of the radical Left? Probably a bit of both." Exactly. This perverted ideological stunt came straight from the Tawana Brawley/Al Sharpton Self-Help Guide to Racial Hoax Crimes.

If we react to claims of post 9-11 anti-Muslim hate crimes with suspicion and cynicism, the manipulative boy who cried "Muslim" has no one to blame but himself. Neither Nasim nor his attorney returned my calls, but a man who identified himself as Nasim's father told me in a brief phone interview: "Things are not what they seem."

Indeed. The deadly deceit of extremist Muslim pleas for "respect" and "understanding" has been fully exposed.

More about Nasim's Muslim activism:

* Nasim blasts "corporate media" for airing "fake" footage of Palestinians celebrating terrorist attack (scroll down to second letter)
* Student responds to Nasim's false claim (scroll down to second letter)
* Nasim complains about racial profiling at airports
* Did Nasim fake this "hate crime," too?
* Angry Ahmad's corner?

Comprehensive news links on the double hoax-crime caper:

* Initial report of the hoax crime
* ASU's coverage of confession
* Officials consider action against Nasim for filing fake police reports
* Arizona Republic editorial decries faked attack
* Another Arizona Republic editorial: "He's either sick, morally bankrupt,or an ignoramus. Maybe he's all of the above. We know for certain he's a liar."
* ASU Web Devil/State Press, online student publication, editorializes: "And just when we thought the only phony thing on campus was the cleavage, it seems we have our own contribution to the grand list of fakes and fibbers..."
* ASU law student Tom McDermott weighs in: "Nasim's lie should not go unpunished."

" If somebody breaks the law ..., they should pay the price. We can nly hpe they are not targeting people based on whether they are Muslim." Ibrihim Hooper, Spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (More than 350 people have been arrested in a crackdown on foreigners with visa violaions.)

And this lovely salutation was at the top of the "Opinion" Section of my local newspaper today under a heading of "The First Word". I definitely will line the cat box with this one.

If anyone wants to write this pitiful rag and complain, be my guest. They are tired of hearing from me, I'm sure. That quote doesn't appear to be in the on line version of the paper but, I'm looking at the printed one right now .. top left hand page of a 2 page (page 2B) opinions section (Sunday 3.10.04 edition): http://www.swtimes.com/Indices/opinion.html

The executive editor is Byron Tate ; publisher is Gene Kincy ; (Jack Stephens Media Group). They pissith me off immensely.

This same thing happened in Anchorage, Alaska after 9/11. A muslim owned a printing company and destroyed all of his equipment and spray painted anti-muslim comments around his office.

The community started sending him money to help him out, only to find out he was the one behind it. He was finally prosecuted on tax and bank fraud. Seems that he had one set of tax returns for IRS and one set for the banks he was getting loans for.

A majority of muslims that I do business with laugh and admit to fraud on a regular basis and say it is ok in their religion, because we are infidels. A primary occurance is insurance fraud of personal injury. Just intentionally step infront of a moving car. Oh, they laugh...they get put into the hospital, all expenses paid, and then settle with the insurance company for $100,000-200,000.00. They laugh and say only in America can you do that, they say in their countries they can't get insurance because of their societies dishonesty.

There are a whole group of Iranians that move up and down the west coast kiting checks to the tune of over $500,000.00 a month and sending it back east. You don't see anything about that in the media. But the FBI and most financial fraud units are very aware of it. They are called the "Iranian gypsies".

In order both to locate actual would-be participants in terrorism, but also to discourage or harass all those who are ideological supporters of terrorism -- the sheltering sea in which they swim -- the FBI, Treasury agents, state tax authorities, and local police should do everything they can to watch for tax fraud, smuggling, arson, insurance scams, and all the other things which here as in the other countries of the Bilad al-Kufr (the Lands of the Infidels), Muslims believe they have a perfect right to engage in, because not only are the Infidel authorities illegitimate, but it is religiously-sanctioned to regard the property of Infidels as belonging, by right, to the people who worship Allah, who rightly have received his message. There is no need to obey the laws of the Infidels -- except insofar as disobeying will harm the cause of Islam. That is a basic principal. Breaking the law, if the law is not the Sharia, means absolutely nothing.

Similarly, taking advantage of whatever laws are available to get away with such behavior -- civil rights legislation, the Bill of Rights -- well, that is only just. Why not make the Infidels hoist with their own petard? Swearing allegiance to defend the Constitution? Easy, means nothing, why not? Proposing marriage to an Infidel girl, either for the purposes of temporary sexual fulfillment while one is obtaining a degree (not studying, but obtaining a degree -- they are different things), or marrying some trusting Infidel girl (hmmm, that winsome Russian girl in the same class, the one who is just about to become a citizen, and is less wary than the native Americans are by now --well, perhaps she'll do; let me turn on the liquid-brown-eyed melancholy look, the "Palestinian" in exile, or the misunderstood Muslim in a world made mad by Christian fundamentalists and Zionists -- now that should do the trick, don't you think?), to whom the full revelation of what Islam is all about will come to late to rescue her, or the children she has produced and that will be Muslim, Muslim, Muslim, despite her pleas -- and may be whisked out of the country anyway, for a proper upbringing in Jeddah or Riyadh or Ramallah or Benghazi.

One has only to get cracking. And surely the insurance companies can help out by assigning special agents to deal with fraud among that group that, for ideological reasons, may be inclined to favor such methods of getting on in the New World. Prompt expulsion of non-citizens is called for; for those who obtained their citizenship through perjury, it may take a little longer. And for those who are born here -- if it can be shown that their belief-system makes them, a priori, and not as a matter of individual choice, hostile to the Constititution, and desirous of repolacing it with something quite different (the Sharia), then one has a right to enquire into the wisdom of permitting such people to retain their citizenship, which should be a precious thing, and implying devotion to, support for, the Constitution. That seems to be the minimum the Infidels who have inherited a country built by other Infidels, have a right to demand.
