Australian government gives $45,650 to the Forum on Australia's Islamic Relations to "create empathy and understanding"

That is, $45,650 to a group that refuses to condemn Osama bin Laden and spreads vile anti-Semitism and loony 9/11 conspiracy theories. From Andrew Bolt in the Herald Sun, with thanks to Kevin:

ANY Federal Government program with a name as wilfully sweet as Living in Harmony has to be up to no good.
And, yes, it's yet another multicultural program spending our money on those who spread the intolerance it is meant to fight.
This year, it gave $45,650 to the Forum on Australia's Islamic Relations to "create empathy and understanding". Noble goals, and FAIR's founder, Kuranda Seyit, struck me as a peace-preaching man when we met, although, like many born-again believers, he seemed incapable of admitting to any flaw in his faith.

Sure enough, as editor of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils' newspaper, he told the ABC: "I can't really make a judgment, cast a judgment against another Muslim."

Which may be why he wrote: "From our viewpoint here in Australia, the characters of Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein are hardly verifiable, we have no way of knowing if they exist, where they live or if at all that the images and their words are truly assignable to these notorious figures of the world."

Students of Muslim apologists for terrorists will recognise this refusal to confront the facts. But the Living in Harmony bosses did not, and gave Seyit your money....

And yet nice FAIR meanwhile runs on its website articles vilifying Jews and Americans - and none more foul than a vomit by an American loon, John Kaminski, who claims American and Korean hostages beheaded by Islamist terrorists were in fact killed by "mercenaries who draw their paychecks from the subterranean murder bureau run by the United States Central Intelligence Agency, Israel's Mossad and the hired henchmen of . . . Saudi Arabian royalty".

Kaminski adds: ". . . This is the same kind of signal that warned so many Jews not to go to work on September 11, 2001, in downtown New York City . . . Americans, totally intimidated and deceived by their Jewish overlords, are the new evil empire, deaf to law, reason and morality."

Peace and harmony to you, too, brother. Would FAIR like more of our taxes to spread the word?

A waste of Aussie taxpayers' money. As long as Muslims insist on jihad to relieve non-Muslim kuffars of their treasure, lands, and human capital in the form of dhimmis or slaves, there can never be empathy and understanding. As long as the Koran, Siras, and ahadiths proclaim this principle to be true and the value of jihad to overtake and enslave all non-Muslims there can never be empathy and understanding.

Again a case where it's always the non-Muslims that are presuposed to be the bigot and Islamophobe,when will Muslims be forced to attand sensitivity classes on "Infidelophobia" so they accept others as equals.

Well, unfortunately, we have a big Multiculturalism budget, like most Western countries do. And that money gets pissed away on silly projects and programs to "promote diversity" and "enhance understanding between the various wonderful cultural and ethnic groups", tra la la la la la! I'm okay with some of the spending on fun ethnic festivals and such, but it's inevitable that some of the money gets spent on dubious things, like any govt spending. And Islam is very dubious, as we all know, but the govt refuses to accept. It naively thinks it needs to help things along to make us all "empathetic and understanding" towards Islam. Ironic thing is that when you "understand" Islam, "empathy" is the furthest thing from your mind. Only those totally ignorant of what Islam is really about can be empathetic.
