Iran: 14 year old boy dies after receiving 85 lashes for breaking his Ramadan fast

Sharia alert. It is a positive sign that the cemetary was stormed; at least some people's sense of humanity overwhelmed their fear of the Islamic Republic's authorities. From Iran Press News, with thanks to Nicolei:

A 14 year old boy died on Thursday, November 11th, after having received 85 lashes; according to the ruling of the Mullah judge of the public circuit court in the town of Sanandadj he was guilty of breaking his fast during the month of Ramadan.

The Kurdish site Rojeh“heh Lāt reports that the young man“s identity has not been disclosed. He was scheduled for burial on Saturday, November 13th (after 3 days at the local morgue), in the cemetery of Beheshteh Mohammadi in Sanandadj. However due to the public“s realization of the events surrounding the boy“s circumstances the cemetery was stormed [in protest] and his burial did not take place.

This is the side of Ramadan that San Jose Police Chief Rob "Look at me, I'm fasting" Davis needs to have explained to him.

It's one thing to play Islam voluntarily as an adult man with your own gun in a holster. It's another thing entirely to have Islam and all its laws around your neck like a noose as a child.

I wonder how old the children are, when they start Ramadan?

On the up side, it's another of their weaknesses that we know about. It would certainly make it more difficult for them to fight, when they have been thirsty and starving during the day for an entire month.

This is tragic. Would like to know more about this case: 1. Who reported he broke his fast? 2. How long did his trial/judgment take? 3. What was his parents' reaction?

If this really went through a legal, Islamic court and it couldn't be argued to be just an action of a rogue judge; then more people should learn of it.

To the best of my knowledge, jihadists are exempt from ramadan fasting. Hence the popularity of violence during this time, also I think rewards are multiplied - what,144 virgins, gimme me more, more..

For more on the "Sharing Ramadan" Outreach Campaign conducted by CAIR, do visit www.cair-net.org/ramadan2004/ramadan2004. You will find a 13 page guide as to just how to conduct Ramadan Outreach, every bit as detailed as a political campaign brochure -- for politics, or warfare -- is exactly what it is.

I like best the bit about telling your guests that if they really want to make you, Muslims, feel good, they could buy a Eid card and send it. This from CAIR, which is well aware -- though the dumb Infidels are not -- that Muslims are instructed NEVER to participate in the religious observances of non-Muslims, NEVER even to wish them Merry Christmas or Happy Chanukkah or any similar greeting -- indeed, not to be the first to greet an Infidel at all.

Here's an idea: before celebrating Iftar with some plausible smiling local Muslim, why not first see if he, pursuing with this family the "American Dream" as Chief Wiggum has observed, would like to come to a Christmas Carol singing, a Menorah lighting, or any similar activities. If the answer is NO, then you have your answer -- and need not bother to go through the farce of these "Ramadan OUtreach" campaigns. It is all plotted, down to the last bit of chicken and pita, and what points you must make about Islam (overwhelm the Infidels by triumphalism, terrifying them with statistics about the "world's fastest-growing religion" and "America's second-largest religion" -- this requires a slew of utterly baseless numbers, pulled out of the gibus by a CAIR magician -- but what is the truth when one has, at all costs, to promote Da'wa and the Faith, and the umma al-islamiyaa, above all the umma, and the Faith.

Calling all Muslims:

Fred Flintsone has stubbed his toe over at the bowling alley and can't get off the approach....he's holding up the Water Buffalo Lodge Tournament. Since all of you live in Bedrock and are so close, please hop on your brontosaurus' and head over there to help pick him up.

Therefore Ramadan can't be regarded as an act of piety for not to comply can mean beatings, in this case tragically to the point of death.

If anyone is coming to a school in your neighbourhood to teach about Ramadan, it would be good to tell people about what happened here in Iran.

Iran is the country where it's okay to have sex with a baby girl, sheep, cattle or goats, but if any child just fancies a snack when they are hungry, then they get beaten to death.

Someone ought to e-mail this story to Police Chief Gump over in San Jose......

Posted by: DCWatson [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 16, 2004 2:07 PM

The whole Ramadan fast by day/feast by night for a month reminds me of the exposes done on some of the cults that were very active during the 1970s and 80s (Hari Krishnas, Moonies) and how they used sleep deprevation and other behavioural controls/modifications (abstaining from sex, estrangement from friendships and relationships outside of the cult) to gain control over new recruits.

San Jose Police Chief Davis and others like him should be watched for signs of being sucked into a cult.

I see from the story below that Davis is a Mormon, so the leap may not be all that long. (Among other things, some Mormons fast one day a week all year long.)

What fragrance has an artificial rose? Coerced virtue is not a virtue.

Following up on Hugh's comments, check out this nauseating BS from Omar Ahmad:

Here's your choice cuts:

"During Ramadan, the world's 1.2 billion Muslims rededicate themselves to two central Islamic values: sharing and tolerance."

As Muslims, we must be proud ambassadors of a faith committed to peace, justice and mutual respect among peoples.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Posted by: Mike [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 16, 2004 2:55 PM

And, by the way, here's 85 lashings from the faith committed to peace, justice and tolerance!!

In Canada an Islamic site posted a alert to Muslims during December to not say "Merry Christmas" because it was offensive to Islam
and the Prophet Muhammed, once a moderate Muslim
alerted the media of this the notice was pulled and it was blamed on a clerk in the office that include the message in the webpage updates.
They didn't say it was wrong and insensative
to hold those views, they just claimed it was posted by mistake,Translation: It is are view on Christians and the notice should have been posted in a Mosque for Muslims only so Islam keeps its
image of "Tolerance" .

As for the 14 year old boy,Muhammed screwed his ass off with a 9 year old girl so remember that Muslims have a different perception of reality
and morals.

NO ISLAM - KNOW PEACE

Hulegu Khan said,

"What fragrance has an artificial rose? Coerced virtue is not a virtue."

Very astute statement. This one is a keeper.

This story has me so upset. The kid was probably hungry -- if he even really did break his fast. Muslim "fasts" are so hypocritical -- starve during the day (for those who really keep them) and feast during the night. What kind of fast is that?

Then, on top of it, they make the kids go about their regular business, all the while not eating. There is no compassion whatsoever.

So basically, this kid was beaten to death for being a hungry teenager.

We should e-mail this story and many others such as this(on a daily basis)to the good old moron chief.

"Iran: 14 year old boy dies after receiving 85 lashes for breaking his Ramadan fast"

This is the kind of punishment as required by sharia law that the islamists call legal perfection, or flawless perfect justice.
What an utter absurdity! The islamists want the whole world to fall under this kind of law and punishment.

A great western thinker once said "Those who beleive in absurdities will commit atrocities"

How very, very true.

Thank god we don't whip to death children in the west for not behaving at christmas. But then again christmas is not about being a bunch of child molesters/murderers.

Whip children to death for not being perfect or not at Ramadan. Hmmm...the islamists must find that such a hard choice to make.

It seems they are especially vicious and evil in Iran. And these maniacs are developing nukes! Absolutely no chance they won't use them. They're insane.

Re. Ala-sux' comment;

Found this fatwa on-line from our friendly 'on-line Imam'.
(I just love that site, If ever you need a good laugh when you're feeling down.....)

Re. Ramadan/fasting;

The Muslim students I teach English to, actually put weight on during Ramadan. (I lie not.)

They set their alarms to get up before sunrise, in order to embark on the biggest breakfast ever.

They break their 'fast' about 4:40pm.

The week before last, one of my Yemeni students invited me round for a meal after sunset.
Heres what was on the table (well, floor actually);

Copious amounts of rice.
Hobz (flat bread)
Lamb and vegetables in a tomato based sauce.
Fried Chicken.
Samosas.
Potatoes.
Chilli salsa.
Yoghurt with mint.
Lime pickle.

It was absolutely delicious, but back to the point of my comment, and to re-iterate what other posters here are saying, hardly fasting.

Great British regards everyone,

Kc
(ps; no Arabic class this week due to Eid; it's great to be back!)

When I was 14 years old, by the time I got home from school, I was STARVING. The first thing I did was to go to the fridge to get something to eat.

This poor teenager got flogged and killed for doing something which teenagers do all around the world.

Islam stops people from being human.

I Celebrated (????) Ramadan by having a ham sandwich every day for lunch. One day I splurged and had a Bacon and tomato (no lettuce please, it's just empty goodness) sandwich. Thankfully, it is over since I was really getting tired of eating ham. I like it, but not that much. I probably won't have another one until the next Ramadan rolls around. I also took the opportunity to mention to my lunch-time feasts to a couple of Muslim colleagues on a couple of occasions over the past few weeks.

Freedom of thought and speech are great traditions and it is becoming increasingly clear to me that islam is incommensurable with both of these basic freedoms.

Just think of the indignant outrage that would be ignited if a 14-year old boy was given a "time-out" for not giving a Christmas present. If it weren't for double standards, some people wouldn't have any at all. Maybe we can say he was "racist" or "intolerant" for not "respecting the culture". Or maybe we can see Islm for what it truly is: a blood cult.

Islam is the devil's religion. Really. It is.

My son is in Iraq and came home for 15 days' leave right before Ramadan started. He was concerned because the soldiers had been warned that Ramadan is their holy time; where they believe the gates of Hell are closed, and if you die in Jihad you will get many times the regular rewards in Paradise. He said last year during Ramadan they had over 200 incidents in the Iraq Theatre during Ramadan. He expected it to be worse because of the upcoming elections.
