No doubt to see what terms Hamas demanded for the completion of the EU's cultural and societal surrender. From the BBC, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
The European Union foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, has had a secret meeting with the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, the BBC has learned.Hamas is on the list of banned terror groups for both the EU and Washington.
In an interview with the BBC, Mr Solana said that he had had the meeting some months ago, without saying with whom it was.
He said the meeting came at a time when there seemed to be an opportunity to push for progress.
He said he conveyed a message from the international community, that if Hamas wanted to help the people of Palestine, it would have to end violence.
This is impossibly naive, and shows that Solana doesn't have the first foggiest idea what jihad or Hamas is all about, despite quite explicit avowals in Hamas' own charter, as I detail in Onward Muslim Soldiers. The Charter says that "so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem, are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement. For renouncing any part of Palestine means renouncing part of the religion; the nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its faith, the movement educates its members to adhere to its principles and to raise the banner of Allah over their homeland as they fight their Jihad: ‘Allah is the all-powerful, but most people are not aware.’"

I've posted about this before,but since we are getting a steady influx of new "regulars" it seemed like a good time to repeat it.
SusanB and I have compiled a list of JW/DWers who wish to make their e-mail addresses available for contact with other JW/Dwers. What was the c_ball solana trying to achieve? Didn't learn anything from the EU coddloing of Ara-fart for sure.
Now could we have another secret Zarqawi-solana meet-the-press please? What's next on the menu? A solana-osama rendevous?? This is getting ludicrious and its no longer funny.

Bat Ye’Or posted this brilliant article on Europe flirtatious relationship with the Palestinian terrorist organisations, and the underlying reasons why Europe is so keen on them. Every word of it is true, especially in the light of these revelations on Solana’s secret rendezvous with Hamas.

Speaking of useful idiots did anyone elde see that creep Jack Straw (UK Foreign Minister) fawning over Yasir Arabfat's grave. And then the moron signed the book of condolence ! Did Straw ever visit the graves of any of arabfat's many victims ? No, didn't think so. Yet another Quisling on the side of the islamofascists.

If you want to find out just how ignorant and silly Jack Straw is, kindly google "Jack Straw" and "Conor Cruise "O'Brien" and "J. B. Kelly." Or try "Con Coughlin," who wrote the piece in The Telegraph, wherein various historians showed just how ignorant Straw -- who is, after all, Foreign Secretary, and is suppoed to know something -- can be about the most elementary matters.
What Con Coughlin did not include in the final version of his piece was Kelly's explaining to him that Straw had gone on and on about the responsiblity of "British colonialists" drawing Iraq's (presumably intolerably-drawn) borders. But -- as as been noted at this website several times before -- the most important boundary, that between Iran and Iraq, was drawn up, between the Ottoman and the Persian Empires, in 1847, under the Treaty of Erzerum. The Russians helped a bit; the British had nothing to do with it. So much for Jack Straw's knowledge of history.
Do you think a man of his mental makeup has bothered, would bother, to read Qur'an and hadith and sira? Do you think he has any conception that what people learn, what they memorize, what they are taught, every day in every way, to believe -- including the right of Islam to dominate and Muslims, the Believers, to take over the world as by right -- actually might have an effect? Do you think he ever has a second's doubt that the "Israel/Palestine" matter is central -- so that he need not confront, or make sense of, Beslan, Bali, the killing of HIndus in Bangladesh, Christians in southern Sudan, Buddhists in southern Thailand, plots uncovered in Germany, Italy, France, England to fight the Infidel. Of course he can't face reality -- for what would it mean, what would it tell us, about the Ruling Classes in most European countries, who have betrayed their own populations, some out of ignrorance and negligence, some out of venality (a whole class of people has gotten rich from Arab money -- real estate agents, lawyers, public relations men, and that is not even including the diplomts, journalists, university teachers and assorted officials who have been the direct or indirect beneficiaries of bribes.
Unfortunately, Blair is a nincompoop as well, when it comes to Islam. He is articulate and intelligent only by comparison with inarticulate cisatlantic leaders, but they are redeemed because their instincts are right. Blair's instincts, and certainly those of the intolerable Jack Straw, are all wrong -- Eurabian to the goddammed core. Someone needs to come forth. Not to take a "leadership role" as the business schools prate -- but to be a leader. What a novel idea.

Hugh, talking about ignorance: this Javier Solana a-hole made a donkey of himself when from his top Education Ministry post under one the Socialists goverments we have endured here in Spain, said in a TV show "doceava" instead "duodécima", that is, confounding the fractional 'one-twelve' and the ordinal 'twelfth', instantly becoming the laughing stock of all the opposition and the learned neutrals, me included.

Hugh, I just posted in one of today's pages (11/26) and when trying to portray Tony Blair as one more of our main Europeans dhimmitud-ers, to make myself understood I felt like resorting to David Blunkets,his Home Office Muslim-lover-Christian-scourge,fearing the British PM's attitude towards the Iraq war may induce people to think he has the same vision in all aspects of dhimmitude, which you so timely clarify in your post above.
