Awa is accused of twice setting fire to his 16-year-old girlfriend in his Leeuwarden home in August this year. He allegedly acted out of jealousy because the girl had kissed another boy. Awa is also accused of assaulting a 15-year-old girl.The youth admitted on the first day of his trial on Thursday that he had assaulted the girls, claiming he wanted to punish them for indiscretions. He said was prepared "to die for Allah".
Friends said Awa saw women as slaves and possessions. Psychologists have confirmed that the suspect cannot build relationships with girlfriends based on equality, news service NOS reported.
"I was Awa's possession," the 15-year-old girl said in a statement. Both girls have written a statement, which was read to the court. "I cannot express how painful burn wounds are," the 16-year-old said.

What kind of education was this 16-year old getting that did not allow her to learn that being set on fire once--let alone twice!--is against the law in the civilized world? Where were her parents?

I'm going to assume that prison in Holland can be as bad as in the U.S. where juveniles are often at the mercy of the older inmates. I hope he's prepared for anything.

Our friend patrickafir at claritiyandresolve refers to this sort of thing as part and parcel of "The Religion of Isolated Events." Any Dutch who complain that this is typical of Islamic mysogeny are going to be condemned as racists, and if an Aussie writes about it, he's likely to end up in jail. The only one to come out ahead here is the young monster who'll finally get a room of his own, decent food, and free education at the prison mosque.
Blame the Dutch government all we like, the fact is that the Dutch voted for this kind of thing, and they work hard to pay taxes to support the system as it is. At some point people have to take personal responsibility for the state of their own nations. Writing letters to the government isn't really a good solution to the problem, in my opinion, if we keep electing the wrong people in the first place. Forget about influencing politicians. Go to the voters to make some fundamental changes. In a year when the kid gets out of jail maybe there will be a less Quisling-like government waiting for his next isolated incident of Islamic passion. It's really up to you.

The idea that their allegiance to Allah entitles these savages to exact whatever punishment THEY deem appropriate never ceases to amaze me.
Assuming she was Muslim, would her family have done this for him if he had complained to them? It being a matter of honor.

In this case Islam gives the English phrase 'getting burned' in unrequited love a whole new meaning.

Either those girls are non muslim...or he isnt quite the devout muslim he pertains to be...he would not be allowed to have a muslim "girlfriend" as there is to be no mixing of the sexes. If this sniveling little POS wants to "die for allah" then why not light him on fire and we will just see how "ready" he is to die for allah...my guess is he would be screaming for mercy and for his pathetic life...not for allah.

This requires a rewriting of the proverb: not "one burned twice shy" but rather "twice burned once shy." If an Infidel may be permitted to offer a suggestion -- the original version makes more sense.

Would like to comment on what happened this year in Auckland,New Zealand. An angry Muslim youth threw petrol and ignited it over his ex girlfriend and she became
a living fireball - dying in agony!! Don't know what his punishment was, usual softsoap - he didn't mean to KILL her etc... Think all women and girls should be warned about the dangers of
going out with Muslim Men - they've never heard of Women's Lib or Equal Rights for starters!!Not to mention how Mad Mo treated his Ladies...

About the New Zealand atrocity.
Member of the "Religion of Peace" got the usual soft soap ...some minimal sentence in New Zealand's cushy holiday resorts that they call prisons.
But the real outrage was that this creature never demonstrated (or felt ) any remorse during the entire trial.

This sounds similar to what happened to that French girl, Sohane Benziane. She lived in one of those Parisian banlieues - home to many immigrants (most Muslim). She was set alight, to burn to death in unspeakable agony, by a boy she knew. This incident caused some women to start a group called "Ni Putes, Ni Soumises" (Not Whores, Not Submissives", to protest this horrific attitude, and the silence of the government and mainstream feminist groups.
Apparently many women in those banlieues live in fear for their lives, under constant attack by these self-righteous, arrogant little creeps who view themselves as some sort of 'morality police'. Muslim girls living in Western countries see the freedoms and the lifestyle, and naturally want it for themselves. The boys, however, are taught the typical Islamic view of women - that they should be submissive and live as a lifestyle similar to one back in the old country.
This is where the multicultural dream turns to a nightmare for many, mostly women. Even 2nd generation young immigrant men have barbaric 7th Century views still, thanks to the way they are raised. Islam can never get along with other cultures, no matter where it goes. France, Holland, New Zealand, doesn't matter.

During World War II Lucky Luciano used his influence, it is said, not only to keep the American docks free of any work stoppages, but to use his connections in Italy (the 'ndrangheta, the camorra, the mafia) to make sure that American troops landing in the south would not meet with any unpleasant surprises.
Of course the mafia (and camorra, and 'ndrangheta) will do the right thing. It is not Cosa Nostra that worries. It is Mesa (from "MESA" or Middle East Studies Association")Nostra -- the cabal of apologists for Islam, both Muslim and non-Muslim -- who have come to dominate, and essentially run and push their anti-American, pro-Jihad (by denying the Jihad, or its sources in the canonical texts), and of course anti-Israel agenda (which is promoted simply by viewing Israel not only as a Mighty Empire, but the Sole Source, the Fons et Origo, of All the Justified Resentment That Otherwise Peaceful and Tolerant Muslims May Feel And Very Occasionally
Act Out.

This is a consequence for liberal countries yielding to islamic goons. What does it have to take to wake them up? Another Van Gogh? With countries like Canada that is becoming very liberal, it won't be long for this to happen here. When it does happen, Honourable (yeah, right!)Prime Minister Paul Martin will ignore the concerns of militant islam and try to buy their votes.

I think this incident encapsulates the current and unacceptable situation we have allowed ourselves to get into. The hand wringing limp wrested namby pambies have shown their “religious tolerance” and “embraced bad behaviour with a nod and smile amongst ethnics as “expressions of their cultural difference. Now any murderous inhuman act can be justified with the expression “I did it for Allah! How nice that we have so many people who have a hot line to the big guy in the sky and have the gal to perpetrate personal acts of barbarism and then jump behind mohameds skirts as justification.
We have sown the seeds of our own destruction and continue to do this. Why do we sit calmly and accept in muslim countries that zero tolerance of outward expression of other religions without a murmur yet champion the cause of so many worthless pieces of scum who make excuses for their bigotry, racism and dehumanising treatment of women because the belong to club mohamed? Mark my words, in Holland because this worthless piece of human excrement has proclaimed his allegiance ANY ruling by the court other than letting him off completely with the caveat” Oh why did you not say earlier that you act as the true God’s representative…. Please accept our apologies and raise 20 children on state benefit with 3 or 4 other women you will no doubt also abuse”, will polarise once more the views of the moderate worshipers of that peace loving religion. It will be one more example to all those moderate muslims that they are oppressed and treated unjustly but the islamophobic infidels. Honour killings, beatings, throwing acid in face… get used to it people, and thank the smiling limp wrested liberals who pervade so much of European politics and human rights organisations.
