We'll see if they dare to repeat this at the conference itself, in front of the American representatives. From WND, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
Speaking at a meeting of Saudi leaders in preparation for the kingdom's international conference on counterterrorism, Defense Minister Prince Sultan referred to Osama bin Laden as being "sent by the Jews."The prince was quoting a poet who said, "Long live security - may its men hold their heads high on every corner. [Bin Laden], whose ideology is sick, who was sent by the Jews, who is the architect of theft, was treacherous and sent us the criminals. This traitor of the nation tried to harm us, but his efforts boomeranged back upon him."
The prince's remarks can by viewed, with translation, at the Middle East Media Institute's special website of television clips [Clip No. 518].
The first-of-its-kind conference, beginning today through Tuesday, will be attended by leading counterterrorism experts from more than 50 countries, including the U.S.
But Israel is not invited, despite its extensive experience combating terrorism at home.
"We have invited all countries that have suffered from terrorism to the conference, and all have agreed to take part," said Prince Turki ibn Muhammad, assistant undersecretary for political affairs at the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
Jive Turki. So Israel has never suffered from terrorism, eh?
Prince Turki said efforts must be made to address root causes."We have to address the reasons that lead to the spread of this dangerous phenomenon," he said.
Sure we do. So let's see, Turki, my man. I'll start: 9/11 was a combined effort of the CIA and Mossad, right? Or was it just the agents of the Zionist entity on their own? And did Spiderman play a key role, or was his involvement just peripheral?

In the topsy-turvy world of Islam, this makes sense. For the ruling family of Saudi Arabia nothing is too absurd if it will deflect attention from their continuing appropriation of the money that comes from the accident of oil that lies beneath Arabian sands. They do not recoil from, but actively support, all Jihads directed at Infidels; their money goes for mosques and madrasas and vast propaganda efforts that, not incidentally, involve Western journalists, owners of large media empires, ex-diplomats, academics already predisposed to toe the Saudi line and others who can be freshly-bought.
What they cannot abide is that the Jihad might be directed at them. The justified fury against them cannot, however, be framed, for Muslims, in other than Islamic terms. In the non-Muslim world, the Al-Saud would simply be called "corrupt." In the Muslim world, where government legitimacy rests not on any idea of a "decent respect" either for "the opinions of mankind" or for the will of those who are subject to that government, but only on the idea of Muslim and Infidel. If the ruler is Muslim, he is to be obeyed, no matter what. To the extent that he can wrap himself in the mantle of Islam (as Saddam Hussein increasingly did), he may deflect or put off such a reckoning.
The Saudi rulers believe that by permitting and indeed encouraging the spread of Islam everywhere outside Saudi Arabia, and promoting Wahhabi Islam in particular (presenting a threat perhaps more obviously virulent, but not different in kind, from that which other variants on the mental virus present to the freedom and well-being of non-Muslims), they can 'scape whipping from their own subjects. So far they have succeeded.
But they shouldn't. They are not to be propped up by Western aid. Their assets in the West -- just like the assets of German nationals during World War II -- should be confiscated, if not now, at the next outrage. But this can only happen if the nature of Islam is understood and identified, and enough people come to share that right understanding.
The notion that the West has a stake in the continued survival of the Al-Saud, because something "even worse" would come along is nonsense. They are the "worse." Another regime would spread the money out and have less left over for mass bribery and propaganda. Without the figleaf of a handful of Western-educated Saudis and their army of Western hirelings, another Saudi regime would be seen in the stark terms which, in fact, the current regime should be seen.
But decades of propaganda, first by that loyal aid to the Saudis, ARAMCO, and then by the regiments of hirelings that they have found, and continue to find, in the wider world, keep the Saudis still, even at this point, described by the stupid (e.g. the BBC) as "staunch allies" of America. They aren't now. They never were. They never can be. They are mortal enemies of the non-Muslim world, and their oil revenues -- which they don't quite realize reflect not well but badly on them, for they did nothing to deserve them, and have done nothing permanent with them (look at Saudi Arabia today, completely dependent on non-Saudis, and on non=Muslims, for everything).
At least before the trillions flowed in, they could claim some kind of poverty. But what is there excuse today, when two full generations have grown up under the most fabulous unearned wealth in history and there are no intellectual, cultural, or other achievements to speak of -- but only the sinister spread of Islam?

"But Israel is not invited, despite its extensive experience combating terrorism at home"
I would like hear a little noise out there on Israel; the country that has had terrorism perpetrated on it more than any other country on the face of the planet.
Will they talk about Beslan,or is the Phillipines invited to discuss the the terrorism in western Mindanao perpetrated by the abu Sayyaf Group? Or how about Abu Nidal that has carried out terrorist attacks in over 20 countries killing over 900 persons? How about the Armed Islamic group of Algeria who have conducted numerous massacres of civilians usually using their favorite procedure of slitting throats while sometimes whiping out entire villages. There is Al-gama`a al-islamiyya who has terrorized and murdered civilians and coptic Christains in Egypt. Will they talk about the murderous and hateful tenants of Hamas and its charter? Or how about Hizballah probably the best financed terorist organization that has cells in Europe,Africa, South America,Noth America and Asia and is responsible for the murder of over 240 marines in the barracks in Beruit. Then theres Lashker-e-tayyiba in Pakistan whose tentacles reach all over the world. And what are they going to do about that little group called Al-Quaida? The list is as we know pages, and pages long and it rages out at you with that wonderful phrase "ISLAM . THE RELIGION OF PEACE". PLEEEASE!

The whole conference will probably be about oklahoma city and british occupiers of ireland. The only two known instances of terrorism.

I'm guessing that certain nations subject to terrorism and certain incidents of terrorism won't be entertained because it "isn't terrorism. It is Jihad."

I get it. Typical Moslem brains at work. They just call it the international conference on counter terrorism. It quickly degrades into the intentional Mohammadanism conference on being grossly anti-Semitic. Their IQ is being lowered to single digits which I will represent with the third finger from the left on either hand held high yelling not allah ackbar, but quoting Vice President Cheney ‘"go f--- yourself,"’.

Imagine an otherwise charismatic individual who is diagnosed with bipolar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia. He suffers from delusions of grandeur and experiences violent mood swings that shift from euphoria to extreme depression accompanied by feelings of inferiority, shame, and humiliation. He is convinced that everyone is out to get him and the only way he can protect his life and fragile ego is to dominate and subjugate all around him.
Now imagine that that individual has developed a practical course, accompanied by a primer, on being, doing, and having everything one has ever wanted in life. To achieve success, one has only to model oneself after the Master and scrupulously follow his advice.
Now fast forward 1,300 years to a world where over 1 billion people have bought the book and taken the course...

They don't like the taste of their own medicine! It was all meant for the lands of the infidels, but now it came back to bite them in the nose!
Alhamdullillah! What goes around, comes ar.......
I wish you many carbombs, suicide bombers, hostage takings, exploding mosques etc.!
And if the monolith in Mekka were to implode, mysteriously, or evaporate -just like that- then 2 thirds of the worlds population would sleep better at night and I would be the last to shed a tear....

Gary, Hugh you guys are really stuck in that left right dichtomy stuff aren't you. Sure Soros is in it up to his neck with the Saudis but so is your beloved President. Don't forget Prince Bandar has slept 14 times in the Lincoln Bedroom since Bush became Pres, he visits Crawford and the family calls him Bandar Bush, and Poppy is a Senior Advisor to the Carlyle Group, which happens to include the Saudi Royals.
This is not a left v right issue, it is a problem with the ruling elite (both left and right).
I hope Hugh has a hotline to the Bush whitehouse maybe he can tell the Pres to lean on the Saudis.
I somehow doubt that he will listen though.
From the WND US Threatens to Vaporize Mecca, add Medina, Najaf , Karbala, Qoms, Istafahan and for sure the whole world would sleep better, it would be the ultimate demonstration to the Muslims that there is no Allah, for how couldl Allah permit his holy sites to be vaporized.

155 Million Dollars, that is the number the Saudis paid to the families of ("successful") phallustinian suicide bombers.
(Something like 15 million is the number they raised for the tsunami victims!)A lot of the slave labour in Saudi comes from Aceh...
Now the terror has come around to bite them in the nose, but of course they wouldn't take advise from the 'sons of monkeys and swine'?
So what is behind this 'conference?' Letting the world know "buh huh, look at us, we've been hit also..." I don't think there's anything else behind this...
Australia has gone over the top and raised one billion dollars for the tsunami victims. Aid workers and theAussie military have already been told by the Indo's that they had to get out asap, that there would be zero tolerance for attempts at conversion to Christianity (as if that was a priority) That aid workers should wear 'Islamic' clothing since Aceh is under 'Sharia law'- endless insults and bizzarre BS for helping them!
I am afraid that this much generosity backfires: The muzzies covet Australia and have a name for it, they claim it (at least Northern Australia) and sooner or lather they will give it another go to overrun us
Sorry, I don't think it was such a great idea to give so much so soon to people who least deserve it and who have no gratitude. One helicopter pilot say's: They came running from everywhere, many of them with Bin Laden T-shirts, to grab whatever they could grab... Sounds pretty much what Muzzies are all about...

I'm sure Binnie's thrilled to hear he was sent by the Jews. This is almost hilarious, if it weren't so psychotic. Hard to believe, that on one planet, we can have these bizarre, parallel universes existing. I read Carmen Bin Laden's autobiography & Behind the Veil, and can only view Saudi Arabia as one incredibly screwed up hellhole of nutjobs. If they didn't have oil, they'd be a curious tribe of weirdos we'd watch on the Discovery Channel and we'd laugh and think 'how bizarre!'. But unfortunately, we've got the world's major source of petroleum in the hands of slimy, complete lunatics.

Giaour~ nobody on either side is perfect. Nobody. And Lies to the contrary (not from you), I don't ignore that. At the same time, I don't see conservative teachers across the country raising our next generation of voters/workers/taxpayers/politicians, to stand side-by-side with the jihadists. If that were the case, I should be able to find just as many articles about them as are being written about leftist teachers/pundits/politicians, yes? The internet being available to Everyone, there ought to be more...
Marginal groups like the kkk are meaningless and do Not represent conservatism. They are a logical, unfortunate extreme, which can occur in any ideaology.
College campuses are a hell of a better place for recruiting than small compounds out in the woods of Idaho. (the National Alliance, now, may well be worse.) And who are they recruiting to? The jihadist POV. Groups like the NEA approve whitewashed teaching of islam in public schools. Politicians like The Swimmer tell their voters that the 'torture' of terrorist thugs at Abu Graib was worse than what Saddam and sons did to hundreds of thousands, now all residing in mass graves. ( I might note that Saddam, if it is indeed 100% accurate that the CIA helped him get into power, was put in place during the presiding of Which Two Presidents? (63 to 68) Both Democrats, how odd...)
So tell me: who should I be focusing on?

At the “Anti-Terror” Confab in Riyad, Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah proposed the establishment of an international counter-terrorism centre, an institutional hub to foster the tight co-operation and co-ordination of the world’s anti-terrorist bodies (except - so predictably - for Israel’s) and to serve in optimizing intelligence analysis and facilitating communications for them.
To do so would be a DISASTER - imagine the leakages, the disinformation, etc! Worse than a case of the inmates running the asylum: truly, this’d be a rabid fox guarding the henhouse!
Abdullah’s notion ought to be SLAPPED DOWN reflexively, despite the money he’d be guaranteed to shovel in - in order to buy the show. Once gaining enormous influence in it, the House of Saud can then push its line there that there’s no connection whatever between global terrorism and “the Religion of Peace”. This means that the House of Saud need not address its centuries-long nexus with the Jihadism of Wahabi Islam, nor make any non-cosmetic changes in its society or polity.
That old bugbear, the definition of Terrorism itself, was again not agreed upon at this gabfest. Syria and Iran, with the sympathy of a number of other Arab and Moslem countries, demanded that any atrocity conducted by “Palestinians”, and those acting on their behalf, be exempted.
The Saudis, disclosing their own 250 or so casualties of terror, insisted that no perpetrators of it could possibly be Moslems, calling them “heretics” - a serious, capital charge indeed. However, the multi-murderous militancy of Jihad’s inseparably rooted in the Koran and Islamic history and practice; if the Meeting neglects this fact, it’s headed NOWHERE.
What an utter travesty of an Anti-Terrorism Conference! Thoroughly counter-productive, but, nevertheless, it must’ve been a splendid junket for the assembled throng of eminent Delegates, plus a magnificent opportunity for the Sauds to PURCHASE at least a sprinkling of them, to bend them to boosting the pursuit of the Saudi objective - and ultimately, to frustrate and paralyze a VITAL arm of the US, its allies and associates in the misnamed “War on Terror”....
