A day off on a dhimmi holiday? No way! And don't miss the part about the hand grenade: they don't even do that at Evander Childs, a famously lethal school located in my old haunts in the Bronx.

It's not that the Iraqis do not want time off - they just want the extra day moved to Thursday."We don't want Saturday! It's a Jewish holiday!" students chanted as they marched in protest last week to the governor's office in Baqouba, 35 miles northeast of Baghdad.
A high-school student pulled out a hand grenade and started waving it, and police fired into the air to disperse the crowd. At least three students reportedly were injured in the ensuing scuffle.
At Baghdad's University of Mustansariyah, a statement issued by a student union believed to be allied with the radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr described Saturday as "the Zionist holiday" and said the government order should not be followed.
"We declare a general strike in the University of Mustansariyah to reject this decision and any decision aimed at depriving Iraqis of their identity," the statement said.

Bloody disgusting!
Pakistan flirted with a friday holiday - coz its an islamic holy day and all - with sat and sun working days. Precious good it did them.
Seems pak's banks and traders ran I to quite a bit of trouble coz most of the rest of the world works on a mon-fri workweek. Result? only 4 working days in 6 for the pakistanis to do active business and march in sync with the rest of the world in.

Actually, Islam doesn't really have an official sabbath. Friday was originally for private prayers rather than a day of rest.

Why don't they just take Saturday out of the week? LOL I guess they forget who named the days, who the days are named for, what calendar those days are on .... and these are college students???? Brillant, just brilliant. Somebody needs to do a little study of Greco-Roman history.

So "Fat-boy" Sadr is at it again,remember when the Marines had the chance to sent this pig to paradise and there was outrage because "Fat-Boy"
promised a truce that was a ruse to cover his ass.
Well 200 dead bodies were found in the Mosque
and his thugs did it during the seige of a Holy site Mosque,the tree-hugging leftists just don't get it,Japan Germany and Italy had self appointed Gods in the 1930's and the non-agression pact the US signed helped these thugs divide up the eastern
world and slaughter million for their Noble cause to be the global Supermen that would reign for ever.
Sadr has a following just like some of the Muslim Imam's just like in America,failing to
act against them is seen a aweakness and a sign of consent to continue the killings.
