The folks at Dawa.net want to make sure your kids get their dose of Islam every day. Here are some of their helpful hints "Dawa in public schools"
Dawa through the school newspaperThe school newspaper is another effective way of doing Dawa. Muslim students are highly encouraged to become writers and editors of their school papers. Inform the writing staff to consult you before publishing articles on Islam and Muslims. Being a writer will give you ample opportunity to provide Islamically oriented articles which will Insha Allah open the hearts and minds of readers.
As a group, the Muslim students should try to contribute an article on Islam in each issue of its paper. The school may not allow you to preach in the school paper, but Alhamdu lillah, there are ways to circumvent this problem.
When your Islamic group holds any Islamic event like lectures, religious/ cultural events etc, submit an article about this event as a "news" article. This way, you are still presenting an aspect of Islam without coming across as a preacher.
The second way to circumvent the problem is to write articles about Islamic holidays, the two Eids and again submit them as "news" articles. It also helps to have a good rapport with the editor and the writing staff of the paper. Invite them to your Iftar parties, gatherings, lectures etc.
Islamic books in school libraries
Encourage school libraries to shelf books and magazines on Islam written by Muslims, and to provide the librarian with a list of recommended books on Islam. If the library is unwilling to purchase the books themselves, Muslim students should raise funds amongst themselves and from their parents and come up with the required books.
Scanning textbooks for misinformation on Islam
Students of all grades and their parents should regularly scan textbooks to detect any biased material on Islam. If any is found, it should be brought to the attention of the teachers and the school authorities, providing them with the correct information with evidence, and have the teacher announce to the students the correct information.
In this area, the Council on Islamic Education can also help.
Starting an Islamic newsletter
A newsletter on Islam and Muslims can be started by the Muslim students, if the school allows it. This newsletter can be funded mostly by advertisements and donations. A newsletter on Islam and Muslims will again help in dispelling the misinformation circulating about Islam and encourage Muslims to be organized and proactive.
Incorporating Islam into class projects
Some aspects of Islam can be incorporated in school projects. For example, for a speech class, if there is freedom to choose a topic, an Islamic topic should be selected. Similar opportunities can be created in history, social science, writing and other classes.
Remember, it was the Will and help of Allah, Iman (faith) and Muslim creativity that won victories for the Muslims. Schools and campuses are no exceptions as places where Islam can be victorious...

The systematic nature of how Da'wa is conducted is well illustrated in this representative example.
It should be reprinted widely, and sent to principals and parent-teacher assocations and as widely as possible to those who can, in turn, share the information with other parents. Like prisoners (another target of Da'wa), students are regarded as particularly vulnerable. They are young, they are largely trusting when people tell them "what their faith means," they have no real way to compare different ideologies some of which bear the label "religion" and thereb command automatic respect, they can be easily manipulated into thinking that any attempt to meet this Da'wa threat bespeaks not intelligent self-defense but the intolerance they have been taught must always and everywhere be opposed, without understanding that intolerance for Fasicsm, or for something very like Fascism, in its Total Explanation and Regulation of the Universe, and its indifference to the freedom of the individual, is not a virtue.
This is one of the most instructive pieces put up at Jihadwath. Not everyone goes to Dawa.net or similar sites. Not everyone knows quite what is going on, or why so many campus newspapers seem to have their Muslim columnist or their very active Muslim student group (and the naivete of the non-Muslim students is breathtaking).
But the value of this posting depends upon its being widely circulated, copied, sent around.
The Muslims have a coherent ideology, and a systematic plan for spreading that ideology, or at the very least neutralizing, at every step, any intelligent opposition. They can manipulate the freedoms that were produced by, and could only be produced by, a non-Muslim polity, to enhance their own position and to undermine that very non-Muslim polity whose freedoms they exploit. They have vast financial resources -- all over this country, mosques and madrasas are built, and their mortgages paid, by Saudi and other rich Arabs.
Meanwhile, we, the non-Muslims, are receiving little or no help from our governments. Our government take the official position that only "a handful of extremists" are the worry. There is nothing wrong with Islam. It is one of the world's "great religions." It is characterized by its "peaceful" and "tolerant" nature. It is a welcome addition, as Western politicians from Gordon Brown in England, to the smiling hireling Jacques Chirac in France, to those in this country who insist, without the slightest evidence, that Islam itself is now part of the rich fabric of American life (it isn't, it wasn't, it cannot be, if American life is to include real pluralism, real tolerance, adn real respect for individual autonomy and for the equal rights of all -- Islam is an immiscible watery-like substance that cannot mix with the wine of parliamentary democracy), no matter how long you stir.
Print the piece above out. Make as many copies as you can, and distribute them as best you can. Make a nuisance of yourself. Have your friends and relatives say -- oh, here you come again, with that bee in your bonnet about Islam. They are wrong. They will learn. You are right. Ask them in Holland, in France, in England, in Italy, in Sweden, in Denmark, in Belgium, in Spain -- as more and more come to the same conclusion, while their corrupt or stupdi elites refuse to recognize the problem, above all in the infiltrated and bought-and-paid-for bureaucracy of the European Union.

Well, there does seem to be a shortage of toilet paper in my venue... these publications should RECTIFY that problem (pardon the pun).

This Dawah effort is more overt in Canadians schools, while local Politicians cried poor to the two upper levels of Government,I took the time
during our Mayoral race to collect evidence
and emailed the proof to a Candidate that showed
how tax-dollars were funneled to Islamic Org.'s
to produce "Workshops" for classroom the teach the Quran and Islam under the guise of "Racism and Islamophobia".
Ironically the Mayor (David Miller) elect
was one of the names on a Funding-Report
produced by the City just a few years earlier.
I don't believe the PC Leaders will change their attitudes in the near future, the acronyms used by the Muslims groups gave the "touchy feely"
image and I traced the classroom-kits to Mosques that also worked with Cair-Canada and had a pro-Hijab bias to undestanding Islam and Muslims.
In Canada our Prime Minister appoints the head of the R.C.M.P.,along with ALL Supreme Court Judges,he appoints the head of the Military and
can parachute a Candidate into a Liberal ridding
to assure a win. We had an Election Scam where a immigrant was promised Citizenship by the Minister(Judy Sgro) of Immigration if they help with the campaigning in the ethnic area they lived in.
When the story hit the news and wouldn't go away
the Government suddenly discovered errors in the persons 16 years in Canada while fighting to stay, the person was denied his Status and put on a plane back home.
There should be stricter controls at the US borders because many Canadians are upset that
almost 40,000 failed refugees(some with criminal records) that can't be found to be deported.
When our Liberals fund Islam being taught in School it will only be a matter of time before
an Islamic Political Party demands Standing
in an Election and then demand all laws become Muslim-friendly.

Well, radical islamicists are more than welcome to incorporate such nonsense into their schoolwork.
For example, one fellow in a zoology course I taught tried to explain to me in his essays how evolution was false based on the 'teachings of the Quran and the Prophet'.
Needless to say, he didn't quiiiite make it through the course, since I know better than Allah, apparently.
(And before other religious folk here get upset, I wouldn't try to argue my way through a course in religion based on the work of S. Wright or R.A. Fisher, or even Darwin. I rather suspect I'd get, and deserve, a failing grade if I did.)

Well, you can't blame them for trying to advance their agenda, though it is frustrating to read about it.
I recommed sympathizers of this board incorporate similar tactics to those recommended by the Dawa folks, rather than just posting diatribes here that ultimately reduce to little more than preaching to the choir.

victories for the Muslims
No, it wasn't allah's help and certainly not muslim creativity that won victories for muslims, it was sneak attacks on unsuspecting victims and unadulterated barbarism. There is nothing "creative" in the Islamic lexicon. Muslims do several things well: they lie, cheat, deceive, and appropriate the accomplishments and wealth of civilized people. They are incapable of "creating" anything of worth. Sadly, every vastly superior civilization usurped by Islamic savages began an inexorable decline, resulting in a stagnated, lifeless, insipid abyss of poverty, ignorance, illiteracy, and religious fanaticism.
One long, hard look at every Islamic country in the world today, with the exception of maybe Turkey (which is slowly regressing), is proof of Islam's inherent inferiority and inability to produce anything of value. What more evidence is necessary? And if not for the influence of Western colonialism, these cesspools of despair would be even more archaic and decadent than they are.

Certainly any other religious group that proposed or attempted the same program as Da'wa would be condemned. Why do Muslims believe that they should be able to get away with what others aren't allowed to do? They believe they will be able to get away with this because they always have in the past. The lessons of history through all regions of the world have demonstrated that Muslims are brazen and relentless while seeming to be pacific and tolerant.

By making things like this available openly they cut their own throat. Use this evidence to damn the Dawa'ist's. As Hugh says, there can be no doubt about this impulse, make it plain, make it clear, it is all there in irrefutable black and white, in Koran, in Hadith, in their own publications and websites.

Susanp: Great post!
But really no need to give the Turks any credit: If it wasn't for the huge amounts of money that Western Europe and America loaned them, it would be just another Islamic hole. The Germans have invested there in the billions, in hotels, resorts, businesses etc. and even the package trips to Turkey are subsidized by the German Government, just to keep the Wolf from the door.
Other than that, Erdogan has his own agenda.
Quite right that the military is keeping the lid on for now, but just like the King of Afghanistan in the 20's and 30's, just like the Shah Reza Parlehvi in Iran who tried to modernize, (to do away with headcovering for women) and to bring their countries forward, they failed, and so will Turkey.
If they can not admit to the Armenian Genocide, if they can not come to make piece with Greece over Cyprus, they have no place in Europe. Either way, Turkey is not Europe and they must not be allowed to come into the EU.

This dawanet.com is a great find, as it explains the systemic (and deviously clever) manipulation of a free society.
This site linked to another which paints are even more sinister policy:

Wake up people. The enemy is among us as a "fifth column".

Check this out, from the same link that Dhimmi provided:
[[But what if we were more organized? What if we had million dollar da'wah centers for the total work of spreading Islam? What if we rented out stadiums and did Billy Graham style conversion drives? What do you think? I tell you that in my gut I am convinced we would have so many "reverts" that we would be surprised if we met someone who wasn't Muslim.
Islamic teachings beat Christian hodge-podge doctrines any day of the week. You and I know this. Hinduism, Bahaiism, Buddhism and the new age movement have nothing on us. They can't even touch our coat-tails. So how can we utilize our resources to rival everyone even further and build the size and strength of our community?]]

Read it, understand it, spread the knowledge far and wide.

From that Dawa website the following:
"It is highly recommended that all Muslim students carry Dawa flyers in their schoolbags and purses to pass them on to their friends at school. To obtain free Islam brochures for distribution, contact the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) at 718-658-1199."
Now didn't I just read today that 2 men are sitting in jail in Malayasia right now because they passed out Christian religious tracts and the nearby mosque lodged a complaint. Despite the so-called "inclusive" Malayasian Constitution they are rotting while authorities have over 30 days to round up witnesses against them.

They have forgotten no detail, and we, as a nation, do next to nothing.
The government-run behemoth that is our school system cannot be changed. We must do an end-run around it.
Here are a few ways:
1) Go over your children's textbooks, and discuss any untruths, exaggerations, or omissions.
2) Form an "after school" or "week end" time when you can teach them the truth about Islam. Two excellent resources that can be readily understood by middle school children and above are first, http://www.islamistwatch.org/texts/khaliplan/24hrs%20Khilafah%20bookspdf. This is the very open, very frank plan by Muslims of what Islam would do within the first 24 hours "after the conquest."
The second one, "Islam Undressed," is an online book by Vernon Richards, and is a superb overview of Islam. I cannot recommend it highly enough, especially as introductory material for older children and adults alike. These will prepare children for more sophisticated, more in-depth treatments of Islam by Robert et al. They will also prepare children to spot the whitewashing that is going on in their classrooms and textbooks.
In this respect--to help them quickly spot specific Islamic tactics to hijack their minds--it would also be useful to download material from Dawa.net just to educated them about the many ways Islam has devised to bring them into the ummah.
3) If there are any other parents near by who want their children to know the truth, get together with them for a combination learning and social hour on a regular basis to teach them the truth. All of you would gain encouragement from this.
4) Consider home-schooling, if there is any way for you to do it. The "truth about Islam" materials can easily be part of the curriculum in any home schooling program. The internet has non-religious and religious resources for homeschoolers, with associations that offer everything from legal advice to teaching materials. Don't forget, for the greatest variety and choice in materials, the trade books (those found in the book stores) offer a refreshing step up from the boring and inaccurate textbooks.
While I am an atheist, for those fundamentalist Christian parents who would like to consider homeschooling, there is currently a phenomenal offer from WND of a very complete compendium of fundamentalist Christian homeschooling materials. Remember, the "Truth About Islam" can be part of your customized curriculum. WND's offer includes: curricula, books, DVDs, software, CD-ROMs, study guides, foreign language helps, and a full two-year subscription to the nation's largest homeschooling magazine. You must subscribe, renew, or give a gift subscription to "Whistleblower" magazine to take advantage of the offer, which began on the 27th. The contact info is: http://shop.wnd.com/store/item.asp?ITEM_ID=1572 Or, to renew, the same address except that the last number is 1573.
5) If your child attends a parochial or private school, try to persuade them to include truthful materials about Islam; if that can't be done, perhaps you might be able to get in touch with other parents to form a private group.
Folks, the future is in the minds of our children. Don't rely on the nihilist school system to prepare your children for the future. As the old saying goes, if you can't acknowledge the problem, you can't solve it, and I am pretty sure that most of us here recognize that our protectors are having a serious problem acknowledging the problem.

What do we expect from the public schools? They've been the leading edge of our determined exorcism of God from our culture, society, and politics. He seems to be honoring our wishes, and turning us over to the confusion and perversion we desire.

As a matter of fact, we "sympathizers" have done just what you suggested. Since we are spread throughout the country and abroad, we have people everywhere who are working tirelessly to educate the public about Islam so when they are approached by muslims doing da'wa, they won't hesitate to say, "no thanks and get the hell out of my face."
The events of 9-11 are etched in my memory forever. When I think about 9-11 now, I don't see the burning towers and the terrified people. I remember the thousands of muslims who call themselves Americans dancing in our streets and celebrating this horrific tragedy. From Los Angeles to New Jersey, American muslims flooded the streets of our cities and towns, screaming in ecstacy at this great Islamic victory, celebrating the deaths of 3000 fellow citizens and billions of dollars in damages and destruction. No, not every single muslim in America participated in the national muslim street party. The women stayed inside with their female offspring and praised allah, while the macho men danced around like gorillas and predicted the imminent demise of the Great Satan, the country they chose over their own. It still amazes me that about half of them were not beaten to bloody pulps by their neighbors, or worse. If any group of people deserves to be suspect and regarded with utter contempt, it is muslims.
Unlike many Americans, I was well acquainted with Islam and from that moment on, I made it my mission in life to share my knowledge. There are thousands of us who have formed alliances and work together to do this important work. And you would just be amazed at the progress we've made, despite enormous obstacles that seem to pop up every time we turn around. It's hell trying to tell the truth these days; moral relativism and cultural Marxism are always there to try to shut us up. But I learned something about them too; they're just rude, crude, empty vessels of hot air. They are cowards who turn and run when they realize you aren't intimidated by their hackneyed accusations of racism and bigotry. So you can rest assured that we're doing much, much more than "preaching to the choir."

Those who intend to kill with 'poison' always hide it inside something pleasant tasting.
Freedom will die of the Sharia/Koranic arsenic if the suckers in the West cannot taste its toxins inside the sugar-coating of cultural candyfloss.
The more the Muslims try to indoctrinate others, the more some of these targets will read the Islamic core texts, either out of temporary curiosity or a sharply piqued interest.
And, as it did with me, it is bound to backfire.
Those picking up the Koran will expect something as profound as the Psalms and Proverbs, or Sermon on the Mount, -but, instead, will find a superficial screed of violence and vilification sure to disillusion and disgust.
Let the scales fall off the eyes ASAP.

True BigSleep - the backfire-to-misfire rate must be huge. I never gathered any other impression of islam when I read it's core books.
