Eurabia came about the same way: the EU, trying to undercut the international influence of the US, made suicidal accords with the Arab League. "South American, Arab Leaders Hold Summit," from ABC News:
BRASILIA, Brazil — Banding together to undercut the international influence of the United States, South American and Arab leaders opened their first summit Tuesday to usher in a new wave of political and economic cooperation.
With 9,000 soldiers posted around the Brazilian capital and military helicopters buzzing overhead, 15 heads of state and top officials from 34 South American, Middle Eastern and North African nations converged for the first Summit of South American-Arab Countries.
"We are facing a historic opportunity to build the foundation for a bridge of solid cooperation between South America and the Arab world," Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said.
Pushing a policy goal he has pursued since becoming the first elected leftist leader of Latin America's largest country, Silva urged the participants to fight for free-trade rules that help the developing world's masses who live in misery, instead of benefiting only rich countries and multinational corporations.
But the summit lost some of its luster with the absence of some of the strongest voices in the Arab world, including the leaders of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria. Even Lebanon's president was a no-show.
Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa had been hoping more leaders would attend, but said the presence of seven of the 22 Arab heads of state was a positive "gauge of the importance of the conference." Eight of the 12 South American leaders were participating.
Moussa denied speculation that the United States had pressured some leaders to boycott the event, which was to issue a declaration at odds with U.S. policy on issues ranging from terrorism to Israel.
Brazilian media widely reported that the United States was refused permission to attend as summit observer, but U.S. State Department spokesman Tom Casey said Tuesday he did not know whether the United States ever requested to observe the event.
State Department officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Washington had asked if it could be an observer at the meetings and Brazil refused...

Trouble has been brewing in Latin America for some time. Anti-Americanism is boiling over with Lula in Brazil, Castro in Cuba, Chavez in Venezuela and others. The recent conference of the O.A.S. tells part of the story.
Islamists are not only organizing, they are infiltrating and affecting policy.
South Americans come north to slip over the porous southern border or enter by ship at our ports. Any could be terrorists.

Muslims have been settling in Latin America for many years. They are bilingual and have maintained ties to the middle east.
It is important to recognise this in the context of the nearly non-existent U.S. border security measures along the U.S.-Mexican national borders.
It would be quite easy for spanish-speaking islamists to enter from this direction. And, it would be quite easy for such spanish-speaking Islamists to mount attacks against U.S. interests in Latin America and Mexico. Already, much of the illegal cross-border smuuggling in the remote region of Argentina-Paraguay-Brazil is conduscted by muslims albeit Shiites of Lebanese ancestry/origin.

Ugh!! And I was wanting to go down to Argentina, the home of the largest Spanish speaking Jewish community, and possibly study or travel.

"Banding together to undercut the international influence of the United States, South American and Arab leaders opened their first summit Tuesday to usher in a new wave of political and economic cooperation."
An open note to South America: As the adage goes, "Be careful what you wish for; you might get it."
All of this activity goes to show just how much progress the Postmodernists have made right under our noses. Because of the deliberate degradation of our schools, we never even saw it coming.
As epg points out, "Islamists are not only organizing, they are infiltrating and affecting policy.
It would be of great benefit to us here to take very seriously the oath to support and defend the Constitution that is required for many activities. Since such an oath is "un-Islamic," no Muslim is eligible to take the oath as a naturalized citizen, for many political offices, for membership in the armed forces, etc.
Since infiltration into these and other oath-requiring positions is a major thrust of their fifth column efforts, it would help slow them down a lot.
We have all heard of old Nazi concentration-camp guards, people who have participated in drug-dealing, etc. who became citizens via the naturalization process, but were later stripped of their citizenship because they lied or committed crimes.
This principle could be applied to any Muslim who swore an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution at a naturalization ceremony. He could be stripped of citizenship and deported for fraud.

Ibn Rushd:
If you wait a couple of years, the largest Spanish-speaking community of Jews may have relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Life in Argentina has been pretty lousy to its Jewish population for a long time now. It is not a well-known fact, but 30% of the 20,000 "disappeareds" were Jews, because they opposed the totalitarian regime of the 1970s - 1980s, and things just haven't got any better. When Argentina's economy went into the dumper in the 1990s, the hostility got even worse, and, of course, there was the bombing of the Jewish community centre in the early 90s that killed quite a few people as well.

Don't get too excited. Notice that most leading Arab heads of state put in a no-show. Lula, Chavez and the rest may wish to align themselves with anyone who wants to be against the USA, but I doubt whether they have much to offer the Arabs. They are simply not rich enough. Arabs will go on keeping their minds on Europe and North America - because, as the bank robber said, that is where the money is.

"South Amerabia"
You hit the nail on the head!
Paolo,
Lula and Chavez have to offer enough to the Arabs: the free movement of the Jihhadists in their countries!!
Regarding Venezuela: you are right, it is a poor country. But the incomming petro dollars are spent by Chavez like his personal money. And much of it goes to support the international terrorists.
