Refreshing directness and honesty from Dennis Richardson, who realizes that we don't need law enforcement officials to spend an equal amount of time targeting Mennonites and Muslims. From UPI, with thanks to all who sent in this or similar stories:
Richardson said in testimony Thursday that the laws were aimed at Islamic extremists who would seek to harm Australia or Australians, the paper said."The biggest security challenge we face at the moment (is) in respect of people who hide within Islam and who seek to justify what they do in the name of Islam," he said. "That being the case, it is inevitable that most of our targets today will be people who claim to be Muslims, and therefore might reside in Australian Muslim communities."
Richardson agreed with the suggestion there was a perception the anti-terrorism laws singled out Muslims. "I think that would be probably an accurate statement," he said. "Indeed, I think, that there should be such a perception is understandable."

Gawd! I love the Ausies! We need a similar campaign in the good old USA!
Right, Shukri?
Come on Shukri, we really want to hear more of your AllaSpeak. We'll probably all have a 'gasm when we read all about it.

Can we clone Richardson and put him in charge of the US Homeland Security?

YES!!!!!!!
Wake up America!
It is only sensible to target people who fit profiles of potential terrorists. Our inspection resources are limited. It is stupid to dilute our resources searching everyone, when the profile for terrorists is SO CLEAR. They are everywhere in our newspapers, magazines, TV, and the Internet, any day!!!!
Don't be stupid - target the people who are most likely to be terrorists. PC Stupidity can get us killed, on our own streets.

If the Australians had stern laws against the muslims I think the Christian Pastor would have not been charged of "inciting hatred" in muslim terms speaking against islam or eroding our freedom of speech. We civilized people in western nations should not, cannot, will not, never, bow to muslims. If our governments allow them in our lands like locusts, THEY MUST LIVE THE LAWS OF OUR LAND. If they don't like it, they can f***ing well leave!

Exactly.
The West, fortunately, is democratic. If the government act dhimmi, we can organise at the community level and let our elected officials know that it is not acceptable to pander to these uncivilized bastards.

Ummagumma - the laws you mention are in place only in the state of Victoria - but at the moment, there is a private members bill being submitted to the government in NSW (where I live) to adopt similar laws. If they try to push it through, there will be lots of opposition, especially from people living in Sydney, where we have had to deal with the less savoury aspects of Muslim immigration - like racist gang rapes, attacks on police stations and drive-by shootings.
The situation is that lots of Australians are waking up fast to the agenda of some Muslims.
In the recent case of the Education Dept. caving in to a schoolgirl who decided to wear the mantoo (against the uniform code of the school and the decision of the school headmistress) the MSM insisted that she had considerable public support - in reality, I didnt hear one person support her. Everyone I heard discussing it, taxi drivers, people in shops (both customers and workers), friends, work colleagues, even the channel 9 morning show guests - all held the opinion that her desired outfit had nothing to do with religion, it was purely cultural. Many Muslims also supported the school principal.
There is wide gap in what the MSM says and what Australians truly believe. We are fortunate also, that the Muslim community here is relatively small and can still be monitored.

Who is this man Richardson, and why isn't he Secretary General of the United Nations?
OOPS! Sorry folks. I got a bit giddy with reality there.

Today i just finished Paul Sperry`s book,"Infiltration"....it is a real eye opener and some of the information is shocking...such as
The FBI had pre 9/11 intelligence about young muslim men preparing an attack, but was reluctant to act on it,afraid of discrimination law suits.
The FBI had knowledge of many arabic translators who were anti-american,but was reluctant to act,for fear of discrimination accusations.
The FBI did not hire jewish translators, fluent in arabic, for fear of offending its muslim translators.
The FBI was reluctant to fire one of its muslim officers who refused to record another muslim`s conversation (" a muslim cannot spy on another muslim brother") ,for fear of being accused of islamophobia.
Sperry concludes that amazingly, the FBI is more afraid of being accused of islamophobia, than of America being attacked again,9/11 style.
This is unbelievable!

We should publicise such issues as much as possible, via whatever channels are available to us. Publicity will give support to our officers to act right. We must reach the point where they are more afraid offending the public in letting terrorists go, than of lawsuits from the terrorist supporters.
