CLEVELAND Somali immigrants who work as cab drivers at the Cleveland airport say police are ticketing them when they step out of their cabs for ritual Islamic prayers.Police say they are enforcing a requirement that all drivers remain in their vehicles outside the terminal and are trying to maintain order in an increasingly competitive airport cab scene.
A sign warns taxi drivers not to leave their vehicles within 300 feet of the terminal or their car will be towed. Police are not towing, but they are issuing tickets that carry a 150-dollar fine, plus 69 dollars in court costs.
The U-S-A Taxi company says a third of its drivers have quit over the enforcement.
Can a CAIR lawsuit be far behind?

Not that one of these days one of the cabbies will be stepping away from a remotely triggered car bomb. The policy for all drivers to remain in their vehicles would not prevent an Islamikazi attack but it does deter those who want to remain alive after they drop off their car bomb at the curb.

Exactly. (Just about to make the same point.)
If they don't understand what the signs say (not an unlikely possibility), maybe the fines will give them a clue about the rules of civilized behavior in a terrorist-threatened society.
Good riddance. (There are plenty of immigrants from the liberated countries of the former Soviet bloc who would make more reasonable replacements.)
Who does the screenings at the cab company to allow this many disgruntled Muslims to have such easy access to the airport? And are their taxis 'swept' for IED's before they are permitted to cue up?
(Let them drive cabs in Saudi Arabia. I hear the 'princes' are big tippers.)

Well, that's it then. The 99 percent of us who aren't Muslim will just have to put up with the inconvenience of unoccupied cars parked all over the airport so that Muslims can have a chance to pray.
I mean, giving Muslims the chance to pray clearly outweighs the rights of the other 99 percent of us, doesn't it?

NO ONE is above the law.
If they want to pray, they have the freedom to do so WHERE they will not be breaking the law in the process. These cabbies know when prayer time is, they have no excuses.

Notice how a third of the drivers quit over this? When asked to choose between earning a livelihood and praying, 1/3 feel it is better to pray...
No wonder CAIR will need to sue. These people have come to the land of freedom simply to pray, and have their lives ensured by the rest of the people. Working americans must support the religious muslims, and of course the latter will go to heaven for praying, and the former hell for being non-believers.

This is the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time. Someone has to be coaxing these dummies to do shit like this. I know a few Somalis, and they don't have it in them to think of something like this on their own.
How in the hell can a suit be filed over this when they're breaking ordinance?
There's something else going on here, something deeper. Someone or something else is behind this.
Their HACK licenses are going to end up being yanked down the road because of this crap they're pulling now.
Why do they have to get out of their cabs to pray. It's not like it would do any damage if they doinked their domes on the steering wheel.

If you want to live here, you adhere to secular rules.
If you want to practice your religion, go practice it in private, just like everyone else.

You are all missing the big picture. Moslems, because of their religion, are claiming the right to be allowed at airports to drive up vehicles and leave them unattended. This will obviate any need for "profiling" as the Moslems will be the only group allowed to leave vehicles unattended at airports.
