Muslim men and Sharia don't allow this,again the females are portrayed as the cause of the sin within Islam.
The push for Sharia in Canada will mean Hijabs for Muslim females,and as one female stated at a debate over this "It's not my job to dress in a way to help you with the lack of self control

This is compelling. While working with UNHCR in Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea it was commonplace to see Muslim women, breasts fully exposed, breastfeeding their children in public for all to see.

I have been thinking about my previous post -- And out of fairness to the Muslims, I have to ask a question -- What did the woman's breast and/or baby look like ? It may have been a very ugly breast, a very ugly baby, or both. There may have been a good reason for the Muslims to rise up and hurl stones at them after all -- I may have spoken too rashly in the previous post...

You're overlooking two counter-possibilities:

The stone throwers' breasts were nowhere near as alluring as the woman's who was nursing her infant, and they reacted, as often happens in Islam, with jealousy and murderous rage when publically 'humiliated'.

Or:

Possibly the Muslim women throwing the stones at the breastfeeding young lady have had their own mammaries removed in some secret Islamic disfigurement ritual, along the lines of female genital mutilation, that we haven't heard of yet.

Bono should check into this. Maybe get a tune out of it.

You are correct -- I was trying to be polite towards the Muslim stone throwers, give them the benefit of the doubt... Though you are more truthful in your analysis, we all know that anything said which is critical of Muslims is deeply offensive to Muslims - and their religion requires them to go on a murderous rampage. I was therefore showing my respect for Islamic sensibilities by not telling the truth in the matter....

The brutality of Islam on display. No qualms about possibly injuring, or even killing, a fellow human being, a baby! For breastfeeding. Shock horror. You'd think one of them would just go up to the "offender" and wag her finger at her or somehow communicate that it wasn't acceptable. No, throw rocks. How typically Islamic.

I wonder how long before women in the West will have to go back to breastfeeding in restrooms while in public places, because Muslims in the vicinity will be offended. At present, breastfeeding women only have to deal with a few grumpy old prudes giving them dirty looks, but I wouldn't be surprised if that progress was reversed. Afterall, multiculturalism always trumps everything.

I have seen many instances of breastfeeding. I have never felt like attacking any of the mothers or babes.
Well there was one mother I might have liked to attack, but thats another story.
Instead of a "day of rage", to calm these people down, they need an Islamic day of nudity and naked pride. No hiding behind Qurans and long robes and burkas. Everything right out in the open...no secrets. You would be surprised how group nudity equals the playing field. There are few "stand out's". Naked in front of Allah and everyone, produces peace and tranquility in a disturbed mind. A naked muslim is a content muslim...Allah knows best...

Interesting to note the prohibition against dhimmis included riding astride. Jews in Eastern Europe were forbidden to do this during the 19th century (and possibly earlier), but were allowed to drive or ride in horse-drawn conveyances.

I suspect, from Thomas' and Borg's postings, that the real offense was a non-Muslim woman riding a horse. Let's hope Bono wakes up and smells the barbarism. Yes, I also love it when the sentimental Left gets mugged by reality.

Improbulus Maximus, don't dehumanize a whole continent. I'm no lover of the sexual revolution in any of its guises, or Malinowskian/Meadian celebration of supposedly "uninhibited" societies, but HIV/AIDS, no less than any of the other diseases to which we have been heir ever since Adam fell should call forth a bit of compassion. My guess is that people fifty miles from where the young lady was assaulted probably would've seen her breast-feeding on horseback as either acceptable or at least understandable (after all, Ethiopia and Eritrea are patchworks of different cultures, and there are places where the Christians live just uphill from the Muslims). I'd also venture a guess that most Chinese would find public breast-feeding either amusing, titillating, or both, too. Some might even find it offensive.
