Yes, of course it was after they found out about his terrorist ties -- making it clear that in their all-powerful lust for votes they simply don't take this threat seriously. From The Scotsman, with thanks to Filtrat:
ONE of the London suicide bombers was allowed to tour the Houses of Parliament as the guest of an MP months after police and intelligence services became aware of his links to another alleged bomb plot, it emerged last night.Mohammad Sidique Khan, 30, was a guest of the Labour MP Jon Trickett in July 2004, four months after he had been identified by intelligence officials as a "criminal associate" of one of the subjects of a major counter-terrorism operation that had resulted in several arrests.
The extraordinary visit emerged as an Egyptian biochemist who may be linked to the bombers was arrested in Cairo, where he was due to be questioned by Scotland Yard detectives.
The astonishing revelation about the killer's Commons visit throws into question previous assertions that none of the bombers was known to police in connection with terrorist allegations and comes amid growing concerns about how the bombers were allowed to strike.
Britain's "slack" border controls were already in the spotlight after it became clear that a significant al-Qaeda suspect had entered the country undetected and slipped away again hours before the London suicide attacks, which claimed the lives of 54 people.
The suspected terrorist was not put under surveillance after entering Britain, but is now being urgently sought by the intelligence services in connection with the bomb blasts.

*Sigh*
Any chance, however remote, this "Labour MP Jon Trickett" fellow will get into any kinda hot water over this? Any chance his party'll take action against him or that his constituency will boot him out next elections? Where is the "voice of the people" in all this? Where is the outrage? IMHO, if a fraction of the wasted energies spent on the Plame non-story in the US were spent on this shocker in Britain, that labor MP would be facing hard labbor in prison!

You're right ecil man.
I think that the football hooligans will be the only one's to save us.
If the bomber had blown his bomb under Tony Blair when he was in the house of commons, he might have done some good.

Ever so slowly, Britain and the rest of the Western world are committing cultural suicide by acceding to the demands of these cultural parasites that feed on and eventually destroy that of the host. No nation is required to maintain a foreign cultural or religion, especially at the expense of the majority. It is madness.

The British are accursed with many Neville Chamberlain leading them to destruction. Where are the Winston Churchills of our time? Instead we have leaders who are more concerned about civil and human rights of enemies captured on the battle field. Regrettably there is no-one saying:
"We shall fight on the beaches. We shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields, and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender!"
Instead their concern is how will we look to the International community -- will they approve? Brave leaders discuss rice pilaf and chocolate pudding on the menu ..is it hahal?
