Magdy Khalil is an Egyptian writer and analyst residing in the USA. Here he calls attention to an international scandal:

Respect for women, children and minorities as the weak entities of society is a quality that distinguishes the civilized society from the primitive one, to the point that even harassing a female is in itself a crime that is strictly sentenced. And before starting any job in America whether small or big, one must sign a statement, agreeing to abstain from sexual harassment, punishment is so stern to those who violate these regulations and varies from dismissal from the job to criminal trials, and if the female is a minor, i.e. "less than 18 year old" harassment becomes a very big problem, as for abducting and raping her, it is the gravest crime against the Western societies.
What happened to Egypt? And how the most despicable form of crimes is being committed against the Coptic girls without any moral, conscience, or legal deterrence, nor social restrictions? What are the causes of such evil phenomenon? How would a society that is considered to be the cradle of human civilization and the dawn of consciousness agree to such heinous crimes?
Is it a phenomenon?
The first question to be raised: Has abducting Coptic girls and forcing them to convert to Islam constituted a phenomenon or isolated cases?
If a phenomenon is a pattern of behavior frequently repeated throughout a long period, then what is happening in Egypt against Coptic girls is definitely a phenomenon, it is a phenomenon that the Coptic Church protested against over quarter of a century ago, and specifically in Alexandria conference held under the auspices of H.H. Pope Shenouda on December 17th, 1976 who stated in the conference that "There is pressure being practiced to convert Coptic girls to embrace Islam and marry them under terror to Muslim husbands" and demanded to bring back the abducted girls to their families. So we are facing a phenomenon that is more than three decades old in its modern form, but of course it has been taking place throughout fifteen centuries since the Arab invasion of Egypt.
The second question: Is it a widespread phenomenon?
The answer to this question is a complex one, if we talked about the pressure and the enticement practiced to convert Coptic girls to Islam, then we are facing a widespread phenomenon. But if we are talking only about the abduction of Coptic girls and forcing them to convert to Islam then we are discussing a limited phenomenon.
The Third Question: Is it a pre-planned Phenomenon?Certainly it is a pre-planned phenomenon, and -- later on -- we will discuss the extent of this scheme. But another question to be raised; that is whether the government is planning that phenomenon?
This is another complex question, as the government does not meet to plan how to abduct Coptic girls, but it is a conniver and a collaborate partner that contributed in creating this environment. As for the actual planning, it is carried out by individuals, groups, associations, as well as Egyptian and regional organizations. What the government plans for and implement is the lateralization of the Copts within the Egyptian society, which leads us to the key question: What are the main reasons behind the phenomenon of abducting and converting the Coptic girls to Islam?
1- Responsibility of the government:
It is well known that one of the main tasks of the state -- according to its modern definition -- is to uphold law and order, as the need for security and safety is the second need of humanity according to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, therefore the main task according to the virtual social contract between a citizen and the state, is to keep the internal and external security, keeping internal security is carried through what is called "preventive security" and the strict penal codes "to those who violate the peace and security of the society."
The government provides neither preventive security nor the strict legal security to the Copts; therefore it bears the prime responsibility for what is happening to the Copts in Egypt. It is a partner in the crime by its negligence in carrying out its tasks, and also a partner in the crime by its collaboration with the criminal killers and abductors, because its active security system knows a great deal about the crimes being committed against the Copts including the abduction of the Coptic girls and yet it conceals it. Ponder what Esaam Ul Deen Hassan, -- one of the activists of the Egyptian Human Rights Organization -- wrote: "The government is responsible for the protection of its citizens against the violation of their rights from other citizens, despite that, the organization observed that the government -- generally -- acts only when it feels that it is threatened or when the regime and its authority is threatened, and on the contrary it stood by idly watching the radical Islamic groups use violence and coercion, which leveled to hijacking the legislative authority in many villages and carried on holding trials and executing the verdicts."
The government is responsible for its shortcomings and for the collaboration of its security system, and responsible through the involvement of elements of its own security system in the crimes against the Copts. And as it is widely known and circulated, some members of the police took part in the murder crimes committed against the Copts in El Kusheh, and in El Zawya El Hamra where more than a hundred Coptic victims were slain; El Nabawy Ishmael, the then Minister of the Interior announced that police did not intervene in the beginning for political reasons, and the Copts understood that the "political reasons" meant providing a chance for the extremists to revenge against the Copts to quench their thirst and to experience the ecstasy of victory. I was an eyewitness to two incidents involving Coptic girls, where the Egyptian police did not interfere -- even though it knew everything -- unless the matter was raised before the El Azhar Imam and the high authorities in the government through the intervention of Pope Shenouda, and in less than 24 hours the two girls were returned. What can we call this? And what about the poor and those who have no connections?
What is more dangerous is that within three decades, the government did not bring to justice one single suspect accused of kidnapping Coptic girls despite the numerousness and multiplicity of incidents and the gravity of the crime. Does not this represent a shameful act from the government that smears it with reproach?
Protecting and preserving the national unity is the responsibility of the president as stated by the constitution, and according to the oath taken by the president before the people; that is why Mr. Muhammad Hassanein Heikal demanded that the president himself should oversee the national unity issue and should not leave it to the security agencies as it is his constitutional responsibility. The overall conditions of the Copts are the responsibility of the "Coptic division" of the State Security Intelligence headed by a brigadier officer with a group of lesser rank officers, is it logical to leave the most important Egyptian file in the hands of a number of small officers? Turning this file completely to the president is the first step, if we seriously want to begin discussing this issue away from the abuse of the security agencies.
2- Deadly religious incitement:
Anyone who monitors the media and different aspects of culture and education in Egypt will find an endless number of edicts (Fatwas) provoking the public against the Copts. Those edicts range from considering them infidels who should be fought and subjected to all kinds of injustices they are persevering to the incitation of kidnapping their daughters. Those who issue such edicts commit a crime against Copts and against the country; afterwards, carrying out such edicts becomes a religious duty.
Extremists and those who incite them follow a weird god who justifies all their flagrant deeds and lustful desires; it's a pet god that follows all their wicked whims.
Let us ponder some of those deadly, venomous edicts:
· Sheikh Abdel Haleem Mahmood, the former Imam of Al-Azhar wrote in his book "Believing in Allah" saying: "Christians are like a malignant and contagious disease. Muslims should be unjust to them, they should despise them , treat them roughly and boycott them to force them to convert to Islam"
• Sheikh Muhamed Metwaly El-Shaarawy wrote in Al-Ahram newspaper on 9/2/1992 saying: "Having sex with female POW's bestows honor on her since the master does to her what he does to his wife."
Why was he then screaming and complaining along with his clique when the Serbs raped the Bosnian women? Or is it permissible for Muslims but forbidden for others?
These are horrifying crimes against humanity that should be condemned regardless of religion or race.
• The Imam of the mosque of the Juristic Society in Assiut repeated publicly and for many years in his Friday sermons that: "Christian women are a loot for every Muslim."
• I personally heard one of those obsessed religious extremists preaching in a small mosque saying: "Raping Christian women is permissible to oblige them to convert to Islam."
• Another example is the edict issued by Sheikh Gad-El Haq, the former Imam of Al-Azhar, when answering a question regarding the marriage of a Muslim woman from a Christian man. To answer that question, the former Imam of Al-Azhar issued an edict based on thorough Islamic jurisprudential research which concluded that Jews and Christians are infidels therefore a Muslim woman should not be given into marriage to a non-Muslim whether a Christian or a Jew or others, and the followers of both religions are considered infidels and polytheists.
(Consultant Mohamed Said El-Ashmawy, in "An edict and an article" in El-Ahaly newspaper 10/4/1996).
• One of these edicts is the one issued by Al-Azhar Committee of Edicts in 1996 concerning the legality of marrying a Christian man to a Muslim woman: "This is forbidden since Islam is superior to all other religions. And children should follow the better religion of the parents according to the jurisprudential rule."
-Hisham Khalifa, an attorney and in Al-Ahram newspaper on 9/16/1996 "Legal Matters" column says: "an act that involves disbelief such as going to church."
"Islam is unique amongst world beliefs being the only one that we can call a 'religion.' Also, Christianity as sent by God to Issa" (Jesus) -- Peace be upon him -- was lost after his death." (Hussein Moaness in October magazine on 15/3/1992.)
• In dealing with Christians, a Muslim feels supremacy and does not consider those infidels worthy of any respect or appreciation -- they cannot be admired or held in high esteem. On the contrary, they are like cattle or even worse, regardless of any successful worldly achievements. (The Muslims Magazine on 10/29/1993).
• Look at the venom propagated against non-Muslims by Zaghloul El-Naggar in his weekly article in Al-Ahram newspaper:
"Infidels, polytheists and hypocrites, especially the people of the book who falsified their religion, and the Jews, those criminals who were the pivot of disbelief throughout history, as they are still today, and will be until the end of days?they represent the woorst image of disbelief." (Al-Ahram 7/15/2002)
"The positions of some of the people of the book towards their pacts and the devastation incurred on the infidels due to their breaching of treaties such as the followers of both Moses and Issa (Jesus) --Peace be upon them -- then the exoneration of Jesus from the false claims of divinity." (Al-Ahram 1/1/2002)
It becomes clear that Judaism is not a religion but rather a sickness that infects the sound natural instinct and causes it to deviate from its humane track to fall into the demonic circle." (Al-Ahram 7/22/2002)
• Abdel Gawad Yassin says: "From a national perspective, a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian and atheists are all the same, but according to Islam, they are not at all the same. And they lie under a category different than that of Muslims under Islamic Sharia Laws. In an Islamic state -- whatever its name is -- they should be made to pay the jizya (special taxes paid by non-Muslims), they should not share in ruling the country and there should not be any reliance on them in Jihad or defense. They should always be in a status that makes them feel the strength of Islam and its greatness, righteousness, generosity, dignity, benevolence and tolerance, i.e. they should be kept in a position that compels them to convert to Islam." (Source: Abdel-Gawad Yassin, A Prologue to the jurisprudence of contemporary pre-Islamic Ignorance, 1986)
• Another example is the statement of Mostafa Mashhour, the previous leader of the "Muslim Brotherhood" issued in Al-Ahram Weekly on 4/3/1997, where he said: "Copts should pay the jizya instead of joining the army to avoid their alliance with the enemy in case of fighting against a Christian country."
• Let's also read what the students in Assiut University, Suhag branch, had to study in their book "Basics of Education":
1. Christianity hallowed Jesus exactly as the Marxists did.
2. Christianity, just as Judaism is an Egyptian Judaic concoction.
3. Christianity is based on Judaism and the latter is not a religion.
4. Christianity was inoculated with paganism.
5. Christianity has turned into a pagan religion.
6. Human fiddling around with Christianity changed it into a mixture of both Judaism and paganism.
7. The Apostle Paul pretended to be a Christian to distort Christianity.
• You can imagine what the children are taught in what are called Islamic schools and also public schools (by the way 22% of the educational system in Egypt is Islamic education set on infusing hatred against followers of other religions calling for their expulsion and eradication). We read in one of the books of the children's curricula:1. A Muslim washes his hands before and after eating.
2. A Muslim walks quietly and with dignity.
3. Christians are the misguided.
4. The only religion accepted by Allah is Islam and no religion other than Islam satisfies Allah.
If Muslims followed those venomous edicts they would have totally eradicated Copts from Egypt, but thank God that many Muslims are more humane and civilized than their Imams and their traditions. No wonder that the extremists are called "The Friday Party," since the Muslim would be a normal person until he starts to frequently attend the Friday prayer behind one of these Imams. Then he turns into a strange creature who wants to prey on anyone who is not a Muslim and if he does not find one he will prey on his own community and even himself as was the case in Afghanistan, Algeria and Sudan, etc.What do we expect from the criminals and the culprits who are waiting for a legal excuse to accomplish their vile and despicable desires? Isn't it true that these edicts and venomous writings created the "Permissibility" principle, which is: "Confiscating the properties of the Copts and exterminating their souls and daughters is permissible."
The culprits are not the sole villainous criminals, but those who throw such edicts at their feet are integral partners of the crime.
3-Racist Judicial Verdicts
It is not just edicts and writings that incite against everything Coptic, but the judicial system also contributed in this auction with a countless number of racist verdicts. The comical verdicts against the murderers of Copts throughout half a century are enough of indications that the judicial system is not acquitted from what is happening to the Copts, take these examples:
In one verdict, it was pronounced that a Muslim is the honorable person and a non-Muslim lacks honor (Case number 2473, the year of 1953 El Sayeda Zeinab court). A ruling to end the custody of a Coptic mother to her Muslim son when her husband converted to Islam, the court stated in it justification that "it is feared that the child might be affected by the customs of disbelief had he stayed with his mother" (Case number 17 of the year 1961, Alexandria court of appeals). The custodianship of a Coptic father to his two children was cancelled when the mother converted to Islam, as according to the court ruling, "The children must follow the better religion and Islam is the best of religions" (Case number 462 of the year of 1958, Alexandria Lower Court).
As for the witnesses in the case, they are all non-Muslims, whose testimonies are not acceptable as their testimony is against a Muslim according to the Hanafi School of jurisprudence that is agreed upon, as testimony is part of the authority, and a non-Muslim should not have any authority over a Muslim. (Ruling 221 of the court of cassations of the 40 year, Division of Civil Affairs, May 19, 1970)
Those who embrace Islam are subject to the second article of the constitution which states that Islam is the state religion and the Islamic Sharia Law is the main source of legislation, therefore he has no right to revert back to Christianity, otherwise the apostasy law applies on him (Executive court ruling dated 4/8/1980).
The husband leads his wife to bed, therefore he must not be of a lower faith than hers, Allah almighty said Surah 2:221 "Do not marry (your girls) to Unbelievers until they believe" and the messenger of Allah said "Islam is superior and it should not be inferior". The Islamic jurisprudence derived a consensus from it that a Muslim woman should not marry and infidel, therefore it is a must to separate between the couple and the non-Muslim should be punished in case of consummation, and the Muslim woman should be acquitted, if he converts to Islam after marriage, he should not be relied on with such marriage as it is invalid since the very beginning and will not be rectified by his conversion to Islam. (Alexandria court ruling, issued on April 21, 1957).
A person that converts from Islam is dead in the eyes of the law (Report of the Alexandria general prosecution, 5/29/72).
These are just examples of the racist judicial verdicts, and there are much more up for grabs.
4- Abducting girls is an organized crime
Abducting and converting Coptic girls to Islam is not only a result of the paranoid and racist incitation against the Copts, but it is an organized and pre-planned process by associations and organizations inside Egypt with domestic and Arab funding, as the main role in seducing and luring Coptic girls is carried through cunning, deceit, and enticement or through force if required.
In a lecture delivered by the departed Archbishop Athanasious, the former archbishop of Beni Sueif, he exposed some of the tactics of these organizations in abducting the Coptic girls by containment through friendship that leads at the end to sexual seduction or abduction or involuntary detention in many homes scattered allover Egypt and forcing them to convert to Islam. His Grace pointed out through the narration of one of the Coptic girls who was able to flee, the extent of degradation and decadence of this age, in his lecture, which is considered as a witness against an entire era and I have a copy of, he exclaimed: "Lord, when are you going to save us from this humiliation".
We have heard before about the "Islamic Guidance Society" established by Hussein El Shafei, the former vice-president and its role in the Islamization process. It is circulated that one of the centers that carries the name of a Palestinian town, is currently carrying out the same role.
The late Dr. Farag Fouda, in his interview with DER SPIEGEL German magazine, exposed the amount of funds flowing to those Islamists from Saudi Arabia, Libya and from wealthy Arabs.
It is odd that 16 years after the interview of the late Dr. Fouda, the French Le Monde in an article -- on 9/25/2001, right after September 11th events -- entitled "The financial arm of Bin Ladin extends from the Gulf to Europe," reported on the amounts of funds flowing to the pernicious Islamists in Egypt and around the world from a financial network with virtual body consisted of tens of companies, charity organizations, and banks. Amongst the banks mentioned were "The Islamic Solidarity Bank", "Faisal Islamic Bank", "Dubai Islamic Bank", " Dar Al-Maal Al-Islami Trust, and "Islamic Relief Organization" among the aims of these funds was to proselytize for Islam with all means, much of the money flowed to Egypt to convert the Copts to Islam and eradicate this minority that is deeply rooted in the Egyptian history and the Egyptian soil.
What a deplorable goal! How can we envision the Middle East without Christians? Truly stated by Muhammad Hassanein Heikal, the writer, along with prince Talal Bin Abdel-Aziz. The number of Muslims increased by hundreds of millions within the last five decades as a result of reproduction and conversion, as Huntington said, yet their poverty, misery, weakness, and tyranny multiplied. Do they so feel the lack of a few million Copts that they must pressure them through all shameful means to abandon the faith of their ancestors?
5- The conscience of the Muslim majority
Unfortunately, and with the exception of a very a small number of Egyptians, the conscience of the majority is too sensitive when it comes to what happened to the women of Bosnia, Kosovo and the extremists of Afghanistan and the Chechen Mujahideen. Yet it's an expansive conscience that swallows the camel when it comes to the Copts, their problems and the attacks on their daughters. Their religious fanaticism has blinded them from seeing the dangers threatening the country and from feeling the pain that their co-citizens feel, it has also debilitated their humane sense shared by all human beings.
Humanity was there before religions and nations. Jalal Amin says, "Muslims and Copts are not sects, but a majority and a minority: and the majority is responsible for safeguarding security more than the minority as the majority controls the police, the government, the newspapers, radio, television and schools. The majority is ought to be more capable of self control out of its feeling of self confidence being a majority, and it is supposed to hold more power to practice patience and tolerance with a higher degree, because the stronger ought to accommodate the weaker."
But unfortunately, dear Dr. Jalal, the majority created the unrest and the Coptic minority kept the stability of the country through its excessive tolerance, its absorption of crises and its continuous perseverance against the silliness of the majority... What the majority is doing could be called "The collaboration of the silent majority." The late Dr. Farag Fouda was right when he said "Cairo will be completely consumed with fire if a Muslim doorman converted to Christianity." Let me add that Egypt will be completely consumed with fire if a Coptic young man abducted a minor Muslim girl, raped her and converted her to Christianity, but of course when the opposite takes place, the government media cheers it and the fanatic mind gets exuberant.
When we expose -- with documents -- the shameful acts of fanaticism against the Copts, the juveniles of the security agencies in the media rush to incriminate and insult the victim!
6- Negativity of the Copts
The diminished Coptic trust in all government institutions and their feel of discrimination from the policeman to the judicial personals has increased their negativity and their perplexity, which led them to look for external help or await a heavenly miracle.
Last year, I was awakened at five o'clock in the morning by a phone call from a Copt in Beni Sueif, Egypt, who was crying out saying, "Help me get my only daughter back, she is studying at the college of commerce and she was abducted by one of the Muslims, his wife came to the phone who started crying and weeping." I felt the extent of injustice when the government, with all its might collaborates against a helpless citizen. Despite the fact that we are doing all we can to help those poor people, the Copts should abandon their negative attitude and protest against all the unjust practices with all peaceful and legal means domestically and internationally.
What is left for this citizen and others after losing his only daughter? Why can't he go on food strike with his wife in front of the presidential palace? It is his legal right after all: to awaken the human conscience to his tragedy. Why don't they go and protest in front of the United Nations headquarters in Cairo? Why don't they go to the foreign media networks and press reporters heavily present in Cairo?
Amid the government's inaction and its collaboration, awakening the international conscience is the more effective mean in exposing these wolves and those who support them.
The United States has dedicated its gigantic media system to expose one villain, that is Uday Saddam Hussein, but who will help the poor Copts in exposing tens of villains widely spread inside the Egyptian body?

This phenomenon of kidnapping Christian girls is just another manifestation of slavery. Kidnapping women was a favourite pastime of Muhammed, so why are we surprised? From Egypt to Sudan and Pakistan, this is what we hear ie the kidnapp of Christian girls, who for some inexplicable reason and of their own free will, decide to convert to islam.
Each passing day Islam shows itself to be nothing but the worst form of slavery. An institution that combines the worst excesses of slavery in various locales and time, in just one institution. Over time, this institution has developed a culture of sorts with its own laws, which now goes by the name of sharia. It is worth noting that just as in "traditional" slavery, the most oppressed of the victims of sharia are women and the apostates ie the runaway slaves. I cannot decide which of the two, are the most persecuted.
The continuing oppression and persecution of Christians in muslim nations since WWII, has no precedence or comparison, as it has taken place in broad daylight of modern communication systems. I find it hard to imagine that it was a consequence of ignorance. The genocide of Sudan's Christians in the eighties through to the nineties, still does not attract the attention or opprobrium in the MSM. And now it is too late for the MSM to do anything about it, as it will merely highlight its shameful role in the genocide, or the continuing persecution of Christians in Muslim nations.

Amazing article and an amazing comment. I absolutely agree with you. What's most abhorrent about this situation is that we routinely hear from the MSM and the so-called 'intellectuals' about the crimes of the Western 'colonialism' and 'imperialism', while no one ever mentions that even more horrific crimes are being perpetrated daily by Muslims in the home countries.
Clearly, as someone has poignantly pointed out, that is because to the leftists the West cannot be anything but an oppressor, and the third world cannot be anything but a victim.

Comming to a Western suburb near you as Islam grows in your backyard......
Not only do they kill infidels, but to help their Islamci birth rate along, they "steal" our women. No doubt it's all done in the name of "Peace".
Where is the worldwide Islamic condemdation of these practices? Where is the massive marchibg in the streets? I'm sure if I added up all the civilian dead in Iraq and Afghanistan it still would not equal the toll aquired through Muslim slavery?
Just wait for IA786 and KT to "condem" this practice, all the while why they approve of sex with nine year old girls, simply because Mohamemd did.

Did any Aussies see Senator Bronwyn Bishop speak up and basically tell Muslims to P@#% Off! And that they have to accept OUR culture, not for us to cave into theirs?!
Go Bronwyn Bishop! This is not the first time I've seen her in action. I also witnessed her in a public meeting condem the actions of the Islamic Council of Victoria for taking the two Danny's to court for religious vilification.

In some societies, such as present-day China, where parents are limited to a single child, infanticide is practiced by some to eliminate girls, so that the family's child quota can be filled by a baby boy. But in most populations, the numbers of boys and girls are roughly equal.
What then of societies where polygamy is practiced and endorsed by the example, and the words, of the "Model for all Mankind" -- Muhammad himself, uswa hasana, al-insan al-kamil? This polygamy makes perfect sense when relatively few Arabs, converts to the new religion of Islam, are conquering and killing a great many non-Muslims -- Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians. Their women may be taken, enslaved, used as wives and concubines. Muhammad did it. Polygamy thus requires a constant outside source of woomen. Well, in Egypt today, if Muslims want extra wives, it only makes sense to kidnap Coptic girls. All the Muslim girls have already been spoken for.
And as long as there is polygamy, the local Christian or Hindu or other girls will be available. In the Western world, the girls are available to be raped, for as Infidel women, and immodestly dressed at that, of course they have it coming. That is certainly how many Muslims regard women -- not as individuals, but as "our" women and "their" women, and "their" women are the spoils of war, or of low-level aggression in the streets of Infidel lands. There are no cases, none, of Copts kidnapping or raping Muslim girls. It could never happen. I read somewhere that in the Balkans when the Ottoman Turks came to collect Christian boys for the janissary corp and girls for the harems they were particularly taken with the girls white arms. So their mothers would ensure that their daughters had a good display of tattos up the arms to deter selection. Would that have been the reason for the coptic cross tattos of the late Armonious girls?

I hope you take the time to use this URL and read this recent interview with Brigette Gabriel, the Lebanese Christian woman I have told you about before. It's her account of what was going in in Lebanon at the time of the Christian Phalangist savaging of the Palestinian refugee camps.
If her story resembles anything, it's like the Milosovic's Serbs fighting the local Muslims who were aided and abetted by foreign jihaddists. They were only being as brutal as the people they were compelled to deal with. I'm not sure that Sharon could have stopped the reprisals at Sabra and Shabtila whether he wanted to or not, but the Mainstream Media would never want to look at that possibility.
It may also tell you a little about the silent, slow self-imposed evacuation of Christians from Jerusalem and the West Bank. The Intifada hasn't only victimized Israelis and Muslims who want no part of the Jihad (and there are some). Those Christians who are able to leave are leaving because of the crippled economy as well as the physical danger of being caught in the cross-fire.

My blood boils when I read these things. Why are the churches in this country not saying or doing anything about it? What is wrong with US that only a few brave souls are willing to speak out on this? We need an underground railroad for women who are muslims or are forced to become muslims. Islam is war on women. It is disgusting enough that the so-called feminists say nothing and do even less about these women, but that the churches are silent is a crime.

As I stated before: kidnapping, raping, and forcing Coptic girls to convert is part and parcel of the strategy to eradicate all non-Muslim minorities in the Middle East. The plan in Egypt was put in place by Saddat and his henchmen with Saudi backing. Islamic groups, Al-Azher, notable Islamic clerics, the police, the state attorney, and the courts cooperated on implementing the plan. The Copts are completely defenseless and the amount of injustice and the several avenues of attacks opened on them tax their ability to defend themselves.
I hope the book, confessions of a devil, by the former Ahmed Shelqami, a leader in a big kidnapping/seduction ring who converted to Christianity and put his life in danger to save his former victims from the clutches of Islam, is translated for the world to read. There are underground groups working to save these victims by the names Martyrs of the Cross. However, they are relentlessly perused by the security forces and their secrecy makes raising funds from the public very difficult. I am aware that Coptic groups abroad can not get access to this administration or our elected officials, except for specific politicians like Alan Specter.

The heroes and heroines of the underground network, Martyrs of the Cross, (different from the US group by the same name) and other informal groups work restlessly to save these souls from Islamic bondage and sexual slavery. However, the group has only managed to save but a portion of the large number of victims thus far. Members of the group have to be very secretive as members of the group have broken down under police torture and exposed other members.
The groups do not get any direct assistance from the church in Egypt to avoid bringing the wrath of the State on the poor clergy. Rather, lay men and women work in the shadows, operating safe houses, forging identity document to help the women thru back their pursuers, procuring funds from American churchs, and other services to secure the victims’ escape. Some Coptic men living abroad marry such victims to bring them abroad under their new assumed names. Other times, some kind of visa has to be obtained under the factious names to help the girls start a new life abroad. However, western governments do not give away asylum before the escaping girl reaches their shores. Often her whole family and that of her rescuers have to seek safety abroad which is very difficult and expensive.
State security forces use double agent techniques to infiltrate the groups with members that are forced or enticed to inform on them. Once in state custody, any captured network member and his/her families face unspeakable brutality. They often face charges like forgery, criminal facilitation, and insulting heavenly religions, a bum charge used to persecute Christians. If they ever managed to escape the state dungeons, Islamic groups are often waiting in the wings to finish the job.
The amount of collusion and cooperation between all arms of the state, the government clergy, and Islamic groups dispels the myth that the government is fighting radical Islam and that the official clergy are in fact moderate. The fact remains that all Muslim governments work and support radical groups to one extent or another, either directly or indirectly.
Please call your elected representatives and ask them what Egypt is doing with 2 Billon dollar of our tax payer’s money. Also, if any of you has the means, please open your phone book and call your local Coptic church and inquire about making even a small tax-exempt donation to the effort to save those captive women. Throughout the centuries of Islamic domination, both Egyptian Copts and Jews were forced to wear clothing and headgear that made them appear like clowns. The idea being that the markings would ensure the infidel humiliation in public places. It is part of the total war practiced by both the state and the Muslim populace on the infidel dhimmis.
Each Muslim leader would come up with his own brand of humiliation and his idea for marking the infidel. I believe that a Muslim leader ordered the tattooing of Christians and Jews with the embalms of their faiths’, the Cross and the Star of David. During the holocaust, the Nazis adopted the practice for marking the Jews.
However, the Copts maintained the tradition because it signified their well to overcome persecution and as an unashamed profession of their faith. To this day, the sight of the cross on a Coptic wrest enrages many Muslims to no end.
A Coptic man riding a public bus and holding on the railing with his tattooed arm was a sight enough to incite a Muslim to curse him an attack him, the other riders formed up, beating and dragging the man to the street, they ordered him to recite the two professions of the Islamic faith, he christened himself and recited in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Sprit, one God, Amen. They beat him to death, leaving his very large family without a provider.
The people on that bus beating that man to death, those assisting the kidnappers and participating in gang rapes are all ordinary and not fringe Muslims. Every Muslim is fanatic or a fanatic waiting to emerge under the right circumstances. The small percentage of descent people from Muslim background are not Muslims by definition because they choose not to be full of hate, deceit, averse, cruelty, and rage. However, by no means, are they representative of the overall Muslim culture. For as you all know, a culture is a derivative of a cult, and when the cult is Islam, the culture would be at minimum as barbaric as it is now.

A posting like this one is the reason why we need Jihad Watch. The MSM will never show anything like that. As reported in many places, all over Europe, European girls are being gang raped by Muslim youth. If the Europeans in their own lands and under their own laws cannot or would not do anything to stem the tide of these unspeakable crimes against humanity, what could the Coptic people do? At least, European girls that survive the initial assault do not have to live as the concubine of one of her attackers, who at his discretion would turn her into a prostitute for the Gulf tourist’s in Egypt’s summer flesh market. Also, a European woman would have the support of her family, which a captive Coptic woman is denied. Things are getting worst everyday in Egypt as someone would have not imagined just a few years back.

This is an issue that needs to be broadcast widely and vehemently protested. Politicians, State department, Secretary of State, the President, yes even the BBC - all need to be written to.
The issue can be addressed in purely social terms i.e., nothing to do with religion but about the oppression of women. This last is important, as our leaders and the MSM, are not yet willing to countenance, or accept criticism of islam as a religion. They have 'woven the tangled web when they they set out to lie and deceive about islam RoP', and now they are unable to get out of the web. So we offer them a way out without them having to swallow bitter pills, as a social evil is quite another matter.
The oppression and slavery of islam comes from the fact that women, or more generally females, are nothing but goods or chattels. The "great" spiritual leader of shiia islam, Ayatollah Khomeini, even wrote that it was legitimate to have sex with a baby girl.
Khomeini wrote "A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However he should not penetrate, sodomising the child is OK. If the man penetrates and damages the child then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however does not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl's sister."
and so on.
Now to us, this is the most vile and disgusting thing imaginable. We cannot understand how any, leave alone a "great" spiritual leader can legitimise such behaviour. But from a muslim point of view, there are no stirrings of conscience, as females are mere objects of property. Would you feel guilty, depending whether you abused a 21 old chair or a 3 month old chair? Again, the usage of the term "damaged goods" in relation to females who have been raped etc, reveals that females are nothing but objects.
It is so depressing that in the 21st century, this sort of thing is going on with legitimacy. We have even admitted this practice into the West. What bothers me is that, we as a Western society have recognised the institutionalised slavery of women in islam, as legitimate in the West, on the grounds of a religious right. This is absolutely absurd. Freedom and slavery are mutually incompatible. One can only expand at the expense of the other. It is a tragedy that we have allowed in, into the domain of Freedom, a society that practices slavery, and worse, we give it legitimacy under the guise of multiculturalism or a religious right.

More Egyptian girls forced to convert to Islam
Heidi Salib and Neveen Morcos are two of the latest young Egyptian Christian women abducted and forcibly converted to Islam.
Coptic Christians in Egypt experience serious discrimination, prejudice, and abuse, especially at the hands of authorities who often act in support of local extremist Muslim groups. Young Christian women are particularly vulnerable in Egyptian society, being preyed upon, enticed or coerced to convert to Islam and enter relationships with Muslim men.
In this situation, their basic human rights to freedom of religion, to safety and security, to freedom from torture and inhuman and degrading treatment, are violated. Tears of the Oppressed, in conjunction with the Australian Coptic Association and other agencies around the world, is working to end the heartache for so many Egyptian families who fall victim to these violations.

Heidi Hakim Mankerious Salib was a student in Year 12 at Road El Farag Secondary School for Girls. Heidi was planning to come to Australia in 2005, live with her brother, and begin tertiary study.
However, her plans never came to fruition. On April 6 last year, when Heidi was just 17, Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed — a man belonging to a local Muslim extremist group led by Sheikh Osama El Batta — threatened Heidi with violence if she refused to meet him later in the day. He told her to bring her bank book and valuables with her.

Heidi did as she was told. Over the next 27 hours, Heidi was drugged, raped, forced to wear the Islamic veil, and scissors were used to try and cut out the Christian cross that was tattooed onto her wrist.
When Heidi did not return from her schooling on that day, the Salib family became very anxious and reported her disappearance to the police. They named Mustafa as a suspect – he had been watching Heidi from his balcony across the road from their house. The police brought Mustafa in for questioning, but then they refused to fill in a missing persons report for the family, since Mustafa presented Heidi’s valuables and claimed she was running away from her family. He also said Heidi was staying over at his friend’s house that night. No charges were laid against him.
On April 7, Heidi was taken to a police station where she was made to sign a paper that she had converted to Islam. She was told by Sheikh Osama that they would use this document after she turned 18 on February 14, 2005.
At 1:00pm that afternoon, the police told the Salib family that they had found Heidi. But the Salibs were prevented from seeing her and were told to come back later. When Heidi’s father and her priest were finally able to see her, Heidi seemed drugged and delirious—clearly she had been terrorised.
Heidi, her father and the priest were taken to a magistrate of the National Security Office, who questioned her about her relationship with Mustafa. Heidi said he was her husband. (However, any marriage Heidi took part in would be in contravention of Egyptian law, which forbids a man to marry a woman under the age of 18, without the consent of her parents.) The party returned to the police station, to find the local Egyptian Assembly member for the Road El Farag Electorate, Abd-El Rahman Rady, speaking with authorities in support of Mustafa and Sheikh Osama.
Following this incident, the Salibs’ car was rammed by a car full of men – Mustafa among them – and the Salibs were forced to flee for their lives. They took refuge in a monastery for several days, and later took Heidi to Alexandria for treatment for the effects of the drugs and the trauma she had endured. Then, on June 2, 2004, Heidi went missing while in Alexandria. The family believe she was kidnapped by the same men.
To date, the family have repeatedly contacted the authorities in Egypt – including the President, the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights, and Egyptian consular representatives in Australia, with little response. Police continue to describe her as a "runaway".

Neveen Maher Albert Morcos, 19, was a student at a tourism college in Alexandria. She was a devout Coptic Christian who regularly attended St Demiana Church, El Wardian. When she told her parents she was considering becoming a nun, they urged her to take time over the decision, and go to see her confession father - who at the time was in the neighbouring city of Damanhour.
"When a second session was called, Neveen didn’t turn up."
Neveen made an appointment to see him on February 14, 2005. Though she left the morning, she didn’t return. Her confession father confirmed she never arrived for the appointment. The Morcos family filed a missing persons report with the local police station and State Security Office. Over the next week, the family repeatedly contacted the authorities, but police had nothing to report. Finally, on the eighth day, police informed the Morcos family that Neveen had decided to convert to Islam.
Two priests were summoned by the authorities to hold a “religious guidance session” with Neveen. (Egyptian law mandates these sessions for people wanting to convert from Christianity to Islam.) When the priests interviewed Neveen, she appeared to be under intense pressure, was slow to answer simple questions, repeated the same statements over and over, and became very anxious when they mentioned her family. When a second session was called, Neveen didn’t turn up.
A number of breaches of the law implicate the authorities in the mistreatment of this young woman—the religious guidance sessions were held in the National Security Headquarters (instead of a neutral location), Neveen’s identification papers were manufactured by SSS officials at the last minute, and the Morcos family was prevented from attending any proceedings. Since March 3, the Morcos family has received no information from the Egyptian police or State Security Service. Protests and letters to President Mubarak, the Interior Minister, the General Prosecutor, and the Governor of Alexandria, have received no response. Neveen’s whereabouts is still unknown.

I am left in despair that these things can happen with the collusion of the authorities.That the sheikhs and imams could believe that what they preach is accepted by any god is obscene and these men are obscenities on the face of the earth.

Geoff... i dont normally discuss such things. I'm just 1/4th Sindhi. Sindhi Hindus constituted 30% of Sindh. But all of it went to Pakistan. Today no one knows how many actually died n partition. figures range from 200000 to 2 million, countless more were converted. Unlike Jewish Holocaust, this massacre has been forgotten chapter of history. The refugees were left to fend for themselves. During partition millions of hectres of Hindu land was simply taken over by muslims. No one has ever been compensated in any way. The peoperties that my family lost could well be valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars. Pakistan was able to get away with this great land robbery and ethnic cleasing without ever a word. There have been no tribunals, no one has been brought to justice, there are no monuments for the victims no memorials. Indian govt. just shoots down every proposal for a Partition Holocaust Museum saying that ppl shouldnt dig up old graves... Indian ppl in general are apathetic towards this episode. It is not thought about in schools. After a decade or two no one would ever remember that such a massacre ever took place. First of all, how can we trust in a UN that includes governments [influential at the UN] that represent mad views like that cited and yet would like to help us run our lives, settle our disputes, cure our prejudices, etc? Egypt is a respected UN member and allows or even encourages the crimes described. I hear very few "humanitarian" voices complaining about what transpires in Egypt, which is labeled as "moderate" and "helpful to peace," etc.
Secondly, Carlo Panella points out in his book Il Complotto Ebraico, that I am now reading, that, starting with early Islam, Muslims blamed Jews [or "insincere" Jewish converts] for the opposition to Muhammad in Medina [leading to the expulsion and massacre of Jewish tribes there] plus the splits and heresies that appeared among them, such as the Shiite split. Later, Shiites blamed Jews for the Twelver split. Hence, the notion of a Jewish conspiracy is as deeply rooted in Islam as in Christianity. Of course, Arabs and Muslims always blame somebody else for their problems. Therefore, if someone else, other than Pakistanis or Muslims, is responsible for holding back Pakistan's development, I would like to know who? I would like to know why India is so far ahead of Pakistan in social and economic development. They both got plenty of foreign aid since independence. Now, look at UN statistics. India is substantially ahead [I realize there is deep poverty in India, that Pakistan was developed enough to build the Bomb, etc.]. It is not a matter of race, since both populations are more or less of the same racial descent. So just maybe Islam is holding Pakistan's development back.

this novel raised a storm of protests from the muslims in india.
an yiddish proverb goes, "never mind if someone calls you a donkey; but better buy a saddle if two or three call you a donkey". it may not be accidental that the abductors of the coptic, sindhi or hindu bengali girls are muslims. it may point out to an underlying desire to convert the whole world to their faith, not much worrying about the means. again, whenever the jihadis accuse the americans or anyone else as persecuting muslims, the list of alleged persecution invariably includes 'rape and abduction of muslim women' - this might be a freudian slip showing their wish against their enemies. even the worst allegations against the americans in vietnam did not include (to the best of my knowledge) kidnapping and raping vietnami women and converting them to christianity!

The kidnap pf girls and their rape and forcible conversion to islam is repugnant enough, but what have_mercy posted on the abduction of Pakisatani Christian girls, leaves me in tears. I reproduce a section of it, in case some missed it.
You said it DP111. In a world where mercy is a short commodity, I see that most of the bleeding hearts in the West bleed only for Muslims. I call it the mercy farce. In every country that Western infidels, including religious groups, decide to open the tap of mercy, not only that the poor horribly persecuted Christians, the most deserving and needy of all, have very little come their way as Moslems steel and snatch away all the aid and services. You see, any aid coming the way of local infidels that could help them survive or resist Islam is legitimate war booty. In fact, the very aid sent by the West, is used by Muslims, as in Sudan, as a weapon against my Christian African brothers. The Muslims use this aid drops to catch slaves which the UN agreed to inform the government about the drop zones. The slavers await the wretched souls to come out of the bush to snatch them and force them to carry the food north on their heads toward the slave markets.
To use food frops as a means to enslave black Christians, is the pits of dispicable behaviour. It is akin to using bait to catch animals.

The tide of Islam, I am afraid, is irreversible. As Ali Sina indicated in an article posted by one of our brothers on this site (I am picking up the Muslim habit of calling posters on their sites’ bothers), Islam is on its away to eclipse the light of civilization for all mankind in short order. However, no matter what happens, we must continue the fight and help those most victimized by Islam in anyway that we can. Without that, we would have no redeeming value as a civilization and people.
Coordination:
1. Muslims have an immense infrastructure to funnel money in to help Muslim minorities carry out Jihad against their homelands. I know that there are individual efforts to specifically help victimized Christians and other religious minorities to survive under Islam. These efforts must be coordinated and better financed. Groups must find creative ways, imitating Muslim distribution channels, to funnel aid straight to effected victims. I suggest that these groups develop grassroots’ distribution channels through local churches and charities. I think that all but a few NGOs and even the western religious ones waste most of the aid on administrative cost on their “MAM Sahib” officials, corrupt local governments, and the Muslim horde that drink rivers dry.
2. Scholarships to all religious universities and those offered by religious groups which are awarded to foreign 3rd world students must all be given to those persecuted Christians.
3. Catholic Charities and all other western religious-based refugee groups paid to fill America and Europe with thousands upon thousands of Kurds, Somalis, and Shiite Iraqis, paying for their flights into the country, legal services, medical treatment, a year of room and board, education and job training, and job services, must cease aiding such groups and focus on assisting Christian refugees from Sudan, Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt, Indonesia, Nigeria, Algeria (converts), etc.
4. We must be careful with our donations and stop donating money to those groups that bring more harm than good, filling our country with Muslim leaches and using our own money to support a growing fifth column.
5. Politicians must be lobbied to halt all immigration from Islamic countries with the exception of Christian and the few remaining other non-Muslim refugees. Initiatives to provide tax payers’ money to faith-based groups must be squashed with prejudice. In fact, all money to NGO’, including the UNHCR must be stopped. The UN relief agencies in many countries are heavily staffed with Muslims that aid and abed Muslim crimes against the infidels in Gaza, the West bank, Sudan, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Nigeria. Websites dealing with the horrible conditions in these places give many account of Muslim collusion. I seen it first hand in Iraq and heard such reports from KBR employees coming from the Balkans. The NGO shows up in a place to set up shop… They meet local officials and gather their information from them… They hire a local Muslim staff of interpreters, case workers, managers, clerks to augment the Muslims coming from the home office. Needless to say, Christians are especially screwed in the processes. This must stop by cutting the flow of money to these so called humanitarian missions. Aid must be send to local Christians by back-door channels and with private funds.
