State Dept. drops Israel from Hurricane relief credits

Shameful and outrageous dhimmitude at State. From the World Tribune:

The United States has avoided any mention of Israeli participation in the international aid effort for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

In a briefing on Sept. 6, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack focused on Arab offers of assistance to the United States.

"We also have received several large, very large, donations from Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates," McCormack said. "We have also seen donations made to the Red Cross from Australia, China, India, Ireland, Japan, Maldives, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Yemen."

Officials said more than 90 countries and organizations have offered nearly $1 billion in assistance to Katrina victims. They cited helicopters from Canada, Russia and Singapore as well as ready-to-eat meals from Britain, Germany, Italy and Mexico. Bahrain has offered $5 million, a decision that sparked a storm in parliament.

Earlier, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice also thanked donors for the Katrina relief effort. Ms. Rice cited offers of assistance from numerous countries, including China and France. She did not mention Israel.

Officials acknowledged that Israel was one of the first countries to offer to send military and civilian teams to New Orleans. But they said the administration, which has highlighted offers of aid from Islamic governments as well as American Arab and Muslim groups, asked Israel to postpone sending aid until a later stage.

The new Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy Karen Hughes has been tasked with the presenting an image of a benign America sensitive to the Arab and Muslim world, U.S. officials said.

So when will the state department finally be Judenrein?

OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!

The State Department should publish a list of countries that came to our aid first.

Has the Indonesian government sent a note of sympathy yet?????

Anybody knows how to protest this despicable behaviour of our government?

Another proof of our government having been infiltrated by Islamists. Infiltration by Paul Sperry should be required reading!!!

OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!

When will the government ever learn that there is no appeasing the Muslims??????

This is another proof that the government has been infiltrated by Islamists, that they have 'friends' high up in the government. Paul Sperry's book "Infiltration" should be required reading.

Remember aid given by the US to Indonesia for the tsunami? Even though according to poll, the US' popularity grew after that, there is still a significant number of Indonesian Muslims who hate the US. I don't believe the Indonesia government has sent a note of sympathy to the US as of now. They should have been the first to send their sympathies.

If this is how our Western governments are going to act in future, then the West, I am sorry to say, is done for!

This is an OUTRAGE!

Sorry for the multiple postings. How this happened, I do not know. I certainly didn't post four times.

For shame... For shame! I did not think that things would get that bad that quickly? I hope the Israeli people can forgive such disrespect.

The "contributions" of relatively paltry sums by Arab governments that receive tens of billions of dollars a year for doing nothing, for their people doing nothing, for an accident of geology which throws off revenues that they have managed, through oligopolistic arrangements, to cost far more than it might otherwise, and have also managed to fool the American government, over 30 years, to "trust" its "allies" -- i.e., Saudi Arabia, that supposedly true-blue loyal ally -- to "moderate" oil prices, and this nonsense, promoted often by those who personally profit from recycling petro-dollars, as it is primly called, has prevented taxing oil, and taxing gasoline at the pump, which should have begun 30 years ago to prevent the catastrophic because sudden adjustments that will have to now be made to oil price rises that nothing will diminish.

Are you impressed with the $100 million fromised from Qatar? The $400 million promised from Kuwait? No, of course you are not. You are disgusted at the amounts spent to rescue Kuwait in 1991 (much was recovered from other countries, but much was not). You are disgusted by Qatar's two-faced Al-Thani family, which continues to allow Al-Jazeera to beam its poison into Arab Muslim minds everywhere, and thinks that by a pitiful contribution (considering what Qatar takes in, considering that Qatar is, just like Kuwait, counting on American troops to keep it safe from Iraq (check), Iran, and of course the biggest bully on the al-Jazirat block, Saudi Arabia itself).

As for the State Department -- this is one more indication that it has taken upon itself the Defense of the Faith, and that Faith is Islam. Public relations (one would love to have overheard the conversations in which American diplomats and officials urged Al-Jazeera supporting Qatar, conspiracy-theory-ranting Kuwait (see MEMRI), and Taliban-supporting Jihad-promoting Pakistan, to send money to get the biggest bang for their buck.

Who are these people in the State Department promoting this kind of thing -- this obvious Public Relations work (will they go to work later for some Arab or Muslim group, or do they do it without hope of future reward?) for Islam? This at a time when Infidels need to see clearly what Islam teaches -- not what "extremists," nor "Wahhabis," but all Muslims learn about Infidels, and the proper role of Islam in the world.

One of the most disturbing things I've read on here in a long time.

Posted by: Effractor [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 10, 2005 8:47 AM

If Israel contributed, they should be credited. The State Department is a bad joke. Always pandering to Muslims like they actually contribute something to society other than explosions.

le nausea...

Everytime that the State Department shows its contempt for Israel they expose the lie of the special relationship between the US and Israel, unless of course that is to kick Israel's butt in public at every turn when confronted by Arab states.
This has created a credibility gap in the Arab street, and after all Bush's vocal support for Israel is just hot air.

Emanuel Winston's essay is seeming less and less unduly paranoid..

"Since the discussions of Partition in the U.N. in 1947, the U.S. State Department has been the Arab Muslim voice NOT to allow the formation of Israel as a national homeland. When they lost that vote and Israel became a sovereign nation, the State Department became completely Arabist. Their prime goal from that time on was to cut America’s relationship with Israel and thereby to appease the Arab oil States."

"U.S., Saudi Arabia sign WTO trade deal
Sat Sep 10, 2005 5:11 AM IST13"
http://in.today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=businessNews&storyID=2005-09-10T050159Z_01_NOOTR_RTRJONC_0_India-215699-1.xml&archived=False

As part of the deal, Saudi Arabia has promised not to enforce aspects of the Arab League boycott of Israel that apply to U.S. firms doing business with Israel, USTR said. Riyadh also has pledged to abide by WTO rules in its trade with all 148 members of the WTO, including Israel, USTR said.
An influential pro-Israel group criticized the pact, which it said fails to end Riyadh's direct boycott of Israel.

Earlier this year, a bipartisan group of 47 lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives urged the Bush administration not to sign a WTO accession deal with the kingdom until it made progress on the boycott issue and did a better job of protecting human and religious rights.

Do we give any weight to State Department mutterings on human rights, democracy, yadda yadda ... ?

The State Department may not have properly acknowledged Israel's contributions, but I know I either read or heard on Fox News that Israel was a contributor.

It is axiomatic that Israel would help us with this horrible disaster; Isreal was probably one of the first to offer aid. The State Department has been selling us out to the Saudis for thirty-five years, and will continue to do so as long as there's oil in the ground. The Saudi's have been laying the groundwork to own America by the time the oil runs out. They might succeed.

One would think that the wealth amassed from the sale of oil would satisfy the greedy Arabs but they want more than our money, they want America. The State Department will hand it to them on a silver platter if we let them. I can't believe Karen Hughes is the new ambassador at large for Islam. Just what we needed, an official sycophant for Islam.

From article:Officials said more than 90 countries and organizations have offered nearly $1 billion in assistance to Katrina victims. They cited helicopters from Canada, Russia and Singapore as well as ready-to-eat meals from Britain, Germany, Italy and Mexico. Bahrain has offered $5 million, a decision that sparked a storm in parliament.

The US can no longer take care of itself? The 'Great Caregiver', now must be cared for by others? Does this mean that the US does not have enough heliocoptors or that there are no ready to eat meals available in America? And why does the US need $5 mil from Bahrain or anyone else?
And worse than all that weak knee stuff, politics is being played at the expense and callus disregard of the victims.
I know that Geo works in strange and mysterious ways, but this is a little too strange, even for me, and I like 'strange'. I heard he hides a prayer rug under his bed, and last night, under the influence of a glass of wine and a fat cigar, I had a vision of Condi trying on a burka. It looked great on her, the dull gray color set off her bright red shoes...Allah knows best...

From an email I received yesterday:

IDF Sends Aid Team to New Orleans
A humanitarian and medical aid team led by Brig.-Gen. Yuval Kimhi left Israel Thursday with 80 tons of aid for the hurricane struck areas of New Orleans.
The cargo onboard the plane - which includes food packages, diapers, beds, blankets, generators, and other essentials - was decided upon jointly with the U.S government.(Israel Defense Forces)

I can't understand why the US is seemingly hiding the relationsip between Israel and the US.

If the State Dept. accepts aid from Muslim nations, what do you want to bet that after the clean up the Muslims will want to build a couple of mosques in the area??

Posted by: Bohemond_1069 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 10, 2005 4:46 PM

What actions can we take?
Instead of flooding our anger rivers, can we get more specific to gain some results.
For example, who are the persons in charge, what email addresses, phone and fax numbers to give them a piece of our mind.
Where do they get their budget, what Congress committee to sanction this budget, who are the members and so on. If we spend more time dwelling on each event, together we can change this public deception.

Is this any way to treat one of the best friends of the U.S.? While I am glad to see the reciprocity for a change, THIS AIN'T RIGHT!!!!!
We all know where ol' Georgie Boy's sympathies are - playing kissy face to the two-bit Saudis. The sight made me wretch and makes me sick to think about even now. This is as sickening. It takes the proverbial cake.

PERFECT.

Now where are all those "patriotic conservatives" to lie, shill, dissemlbe, excuse, and apologize for the Dhimmi-in-Chief? Gary, Bar, Catharine? Oh well. At least Gore didn't "get our guns", right kiddos?

Carolyn2, BUSH WORKS FOR THE SAUDIS. Face it.

"...the presenting an image of a benign America sensitive to the Arab and Muslim world..."

This is a nice lawyer-speak way of saying:

HATE THE JEWS AND HATE ISRAEL.

Oh, but I'm suuuuure that Kerry would've done worse. Rejoice, GOPermonkeys! This is what you WANTED.

I agree, we should bombard the proper folks with our feelings through every channel we can, email, telephone, mail, etc. One of the reasons I voted for "Dubya" was his "supposed" respect and alliance with Israel. I simply pray that his heart and judgement are soon to be influenced by the True Good God and Father of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. Sadly, the proper folks to make things right are no longer our Congressmen, I am afraid. We should still express our feelings to them, but *WHO* are the right people? Please post, if you know?

Even though we need to respect the fragility of the State Department's positions with all governments today, THERE IS NO EXCUSE, to leave Israel out of public acknowledgement.

For even more information from Israel, I recommend the site Jerusalemprayerteam@donationnet.net.

We are in end times, no doubt, but that calls even more loudly for us to remember God's Power and Love for all of His Children. Prayer is our most powerful weapon, and I encourage all of us to use it.
