Billboard fights falsehoods about Islam

Well, this clears it all up. Imagine! Radio talk show hosts are spreading misinformation about Islam! Now where would they get the idea that Islam does anything but oppose terror and seek peace? Hmmm. Maybe from people like Osama bin Laden, Omar Bakri, Abu Bakar Bashir, and multitudes of others who proclaim repeatedly that Islam does not oppose terror or seek peace, and whose presentation of Islamic theology justifying violence against unbelievers has never been refuted or condemned by any Islamic authority?

"Muslims oppose terror, seek peace, turnpike sign says," from the Sun-Sentinel, with thanks to Eric:

Near one of South Florida's busiest crossroads, a new billboard aims to tell people about the real Islam.

With the American flag visible in the background, the message reads: "Islam Condemns Terrorism, Islam Stands for Peace & Justice, Explore the Qur'ran."

I doubt that the billboard really misspells "Qur'an."

The Florida office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations hopes the ad along Florida's Turnpike near Interstate 595 in Davie will fight the perception that Muslims share the same violent convictions as the Islamic fundamentalists behind the Sept. 11 terror attacks and recent bombings abroad.

"Four years later, one would imagine the incidents of discrimination and harassment against Muslims would diminish. Quite the opposite has happened," said Altaf Ali, Florida director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

The Washington D.C.-based CAIR has recorded almost 300 hate crimes against Florida Muslims since 9-11. Many of the hijackers had lived in South Florida before they boarded the planes they crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

In May, vandals threw a rock through a glass door at the Islamic School of Miami. In June, drivers rammed the school's gate with a car. Last year, the mosque also reported the scrawling of an expletive and a Nazi swastika on an exterior sign.

If these incidents are actual, they are indeed reprehensible. However, CAIR's hate crimes reports have been highly questionable.

The number marks a sharp increase from only 12 incidents recorded the year before the terror attacks.

Syed Ali Rahman, a technical analyst in Weston and a member of the executive council of CAIR's South Florida chapter, said he has not experienced discrimination based on his religion. But he said others encounter it daily. "A lot of it has to do with ignorance and misconceptions perpetuated by radio talk show hosts," Rahman said.

And of course the supreme irony in all this is that the billboard was put up by CAIR. But no one reading the article would get any idea that CAIR was anything but a neutral civil rights organization. For some illuminating information to the contrary, see here.

War is deception. The ancient strategies of taqiyya and kitman, lying and deception to further the aims of Islam using any means necessary, telling Westerners what they want to hear is a logical tactic. Don't be fooled.

Could we fund some billboards of our own?

Graphically we could take a still picture from the very instant that Tower II began to fall & emblazen across it the question:

"ISLAM: RELIGION OF PEACE?"

That would be the only text.

We could take & utilise any picture from any of the 2,500+ Islamic fascist terror attacks around the world since 9/11 & use the same one line question for all of them over the top of the image.

Maybe I will start doing mock ups of these & forming them as email postcards.

Maybe some of our illustrator friends here at DW / JW could do dome too...

Allowing CAIR / MCB to engage in such Orwellian PR deception needs to be countered, & in the absence of any intelligence or adequate response from the Wests ruling elite it looks like, as ever, its down to us.

"dome" - "some" - sorry, its early.

Albion,

...emblazen across it the question: "ISLAM: RELIGION OF PEACE?"
That would be the only text.

Or, if I may suggest:
“THE RELIGION OF PEACE STRIKES AGAIN!”

I will have to park Mad Jack One next to the offending billboard so the populace can groove on my Defeat Jihad bumper sticker.

There's a good chance that all this lie posted on a billboard is going to accomplish is having a load of Florida drivers either laughing, or shaking their heads saying "Ya, right".....

"ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF PEACE, BELIEVE US, OR WE'LL KILL YOU"

The previous comments offer some good suggestions for "Burma Shave" style road signs.

Explore the Quran. Well let's hope that message is taken to heart by the American people and that they explore the 164 verses in the Quran about the obligation to wage war on non-Muslims.

That billboard message article is (like Islam itself) too scary for words.

p.s.-if Muslims DID want peace, there would be no need to advertise it. It would be apparent by now.

Yes, its a very good idea to Explore the Quran.Good advertising CAIR. Any intelligent person would then see the evil that is in this book - no wonder Muslims are
terrorists, they follow what the quran says.

Here are a very few of the saying,

:2:10 Disbelievers are diseased.
2;99 Disbelievers are evil people .
2:104 For disbelievers is a painful doom.
2:171 Disbelievers are deaf, dumb, and blind.
3:28 Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference of believers.
3:73 Don't believe anyone who is not a Muslim.
3:48 Don't be friends with non-Muslims. They all hate you and want to ruin you
4::89 Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them.
4:63 Oppose those who refuse to follow Muhammad.
4:101The disbelievers are an open enemy to you.
4:144 Do not choose disbelievers as friends. 144
5:51Don't take Jews or Christians for friends. If you do, then Allah will consider you to be one of them.
5:51 Jews and Christians are losers.
5:60 Allah turned unbelievers into apes and swine.
5:59 Jews and Christians are evil people
5:57Don't choose Jews, Christians, or disbelievers as guardians. 57
6:106 Stay away from disbelievers.
8:55 The worst beasts in Allah's sight are the disbelievers.
9:5Slay the disbelievers wherever you find them.
9:28 Disbelievers are are unclean.
9:30 Christians and Jews are perverts. Allah himself fights against them

"Four years later, one would imagine the incidents of discrimination and harassment against Muslims would diminish. Quite the opposite has happened," said Altaf Ali, Florida director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations."
-- from the posting above

One doubts very much that "incidents of discrimination and harassment" have increased, but what if they did? Would it be surprising, given the repeated terrorist attacks by some Muslims, and the support clearly offered for such attacks, ranging from the delirious joy in Saudi Arabia, Cairo, and the "Palestinian" territories on Sept. 11, 2001, to the quiet satisfaction (a smile, a warm feeling, a bounce in the step that day) of Muslims, from cabdrivers to cardiologists, that did not go entirely unnoticed that day.

Though one doubts such "incidents of discrimination and harassment" exist, if they did, they would be less effective than a recognition, all over the Infidel world, of the contents of Islam, of the kinds of attitudes it naturally engenders and promotes and leaves, even in those who think they are unaffected, a mental and moral residue that comes out in surprising ways, at unexpected moments, for hard-to-fathom reasons.

Threat-assessment is not now individual but collective. We are not surprised when tens of millions of cattle are quarantined (at least), if even one shows signs of Mad Cow Disease. We are not surprised to find entire flocks of chickens wiped out to prevent the spread of Avian Flu. Even the most optimistic guesses about the percentage of supporters of terrorism among Muslims puts that figure at 10-15%. Recent surveys of Muslims in Great Britain(where, if there is an error based on false reporting, it would certainly be in the direction of not revealing one's support of terrorism and other instruments of Jihad) suggest that at least one out every four home-grown Muslims supports terrorism, and an analysis of the rest of the data gives no comfort to Infidels.

Many ex-Muslims, who have grown up in that world, repeatedly warn us that the real figures are higher, that virtually every carrier of the Muslim belief-system is a potential menace and threat. But even if that were exaggerated, even if only 1 out of every 5 or every 10 Muslim immigrants were to be a supporter of terrorism, the others have demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that they form a support system, that they oppose reasonable measures undertaken for the security of Infidel societies that they oppose all sorts of sensible measures (including concentrating security searches at airports on those reasonably taken to be Muslims), and in a thousand other ways, by demanding special treatment, from Shari'a being applied to family law, to prayer rooms, from the demand that other groups be denied recognition of historical injustice -- as with the incredible demand to replace a Holocuast Memorial Day in Great Britain with a "Genocide Day" that would recognize "all" genocides, and it appears, especially those where it is claimed Muslims have been the victims ("Palestine" and "Iraq" leading the list).

Why is the ordinary calculus of threat-assessment not used in immigration policies? Are terrorists, or supporters of terrorists, or those who work to create such a situation of taqiyya-and-tu-quoque confusion and uncertainty and lapsed defenses, or whose mere presence seems to inhibit discussion from the faculty meeting, not to be kept out, or kept out of certain meetings? Think of what happens whenever Infidels get together with even one Muslim present, and the subject is, or should be, Islam. For example, think of a departmental meeting in a university setting, where a few professors of History, say, or Political Science, or Middle Eastern studies, would like to discuss the need to end those courses that are merely apologetics for Islam, the full extent of which these professors were until recently only dimly aware, because they were until recently only dimly aware both of the nature of Islam, of the history of Jihad-conquest and subjugation of non-Muslims, and of the way that this subject was being falsely presented to unwary, innocent, gullible and impressionable students. Or think of the counsels of state, where serious people with, for example, experience in Iraq, might wish to suggest that Islam itself was the problem, that Iraq provided an obvious place to exploit the fissures within Islam, that it made more sense to go than to stay, and so on -- but that present might be someone like Zalmay Khalilzad, our self-described "Muslim" ambassador to Iraq, whom everyone would be afraid of 1) offending in any way and 2)appearing to be a bigot, which is what CAIR and other organizations have convinced so many that those who study Islam, who analyze the texsts, who read widely in the history of Muslim conquest, who ponder the nature of Muslim psychology, and who come to the inevitable conclusions, are -- nothing but bigots, and who wants to be labelled a bigot, or who has the energy to fight back here, there, and everywhere, when such labels so easily stick?

One more reason to limit numbers, and access, of Muslims, if Infidels are to have a fighting chance to speak freely, uninhibitedly, and truthfully, about the nature of Islam. For as many can testify, even the most seemingly reasonable of Muslims, the kind that make fun of much of the theology, that mock Al-Qaradawi, that read Goldziher with appreciation, will, if they sense that an Infidel is criticizing Islam himself, and doing so au fond, can turn on a time, and become enraged Defenders of the Faith. I have seen this happen too many times myself to doubt that it is a common, nearly universal phenomenon.
