Abu Mazen: "Thanks to Israeli Left-Wing"

Abbas thanks the dhimmis of the Left for aiding in the Gaza victory. From Israel National News:

PA leader Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) publicly thanked Arafat, other Arab terrorists, and the Israeli left on Tuesday for their contributions to "this first step in the liberation of all our lands."

In a televised address, his first speech to his compatriots since Israel's retreat from Gaza, Abbas said that all of the above had contributed greatly to Sharon's Disengagement Plan.

"I thank all our people and everyone who assisted us, including Israeli peace forces, allied countries, Arab countries," he said, adding, "I thank the martyrs, headed by the greatest martyr, Yasser Arafat."

"The Palestinian nation must not view our rule over Gaza as the end of the story," Arafat's successor said. "This is just part of the process that will lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state on all of [Judea, Samaria and Gaza]. We still have a long way to go to get there... The struggle is not over."

"Today Gaza, tomorrow the West Bank and Jerusalem," Abu Mazen stated.

We must not forget taqyia.
As we witnessed during the protest before the withdrawal there is a schism in Israel between secular and religious right without entering into the ultra orthodox realm of animosities.
Abbas is aware of this so I don't feel we can discount his attempts at worsening the split.
If I remember correctly, he and his brotherhood made attempts in 2004 by uttering divisive statements to stir up feelings.

Honest Reporting's blogsite Backspin adds an interesting twist to this story. Reuters and CNN insert the word "East" before Jerusalem so Abbas' statement reads "Today Gaza, tomorrow the West Bank and (East) Jerusalem".

If it weren't for the BBC, Reuters, and other useful idiots of the MSM airbrushing savages into statesmen, the "Palestinians" would all be holding Jordanian passports by now.
