Pray for the safety of the Copts and for peace in Egypt. Two Islamic tolerance updates from the embattled church in Egypt, from the Free Copts blogspot:
Thousands of angry Muslims are currently surrounding St George Coptic Orthodox Church in Muharam Bek, Alexandria, Egypt.Muslims are protesting what they considered an "offensive" play that took place 2 years ago !!! Church officials denied these allegations and adhered to their position of refusing to provide an apology, as the Muslim radicals demanded.
Muslim mob burned two police vehicles and a fire truck in addition to injuring many police officers by hurling rocks at them in an attempt to raid the church and burn it.
What is happening in Egypt is a form of intellectual terrorism against Copts that radical Muslims are imposing on everyone that dares to criticize their agenda of having Islam dominate the world.
Update on events in Alexandria, Egypt
Egyptian police fire tear gas to disperse the crowd.Muslim rallies extended to Cairo and Banha in addition to Alexandria.
In Cairo, few thousands demonstrated in Al Azhar mosque protesting what they considered as insults to Islam.
In Alexandria, one person was killed and over 60 injured when they clashed with security forces.
It seems that security forces are unable to contain the situation that's why some Egyptian army forces are being deployed.

This happens wherever the Muslim fist and jackboot fears no retribution from the non-Muslim --
This will continue to happen wherever Islam dominates the scene or fears no retribution. IT IS AXIOMATIC....
Islam = fascism
Islam = terrorism
Islam = hatred
Islam = death

Reuters. Oct 21
Members of the extremist sect of Pentecostalism
known as Serpent Handlers have called for an apology from the editor of the Chatanooga Tribune
after the paper ran a cartoon parodying their
ritual practices. Rattlesnake wielding protesters
threatened to, "release the snakes of wrath"
upon the papers premises if an apology is not forthcoming. Federal herpetologists have been
dispatched while mediators hope to bring a peaceful resolution to the stand-off.

This is where historian Suhas Majumdar's concept of "relgious riot" is brought to life.
Say, I wonder if they'll be organizing any gang rapes as part of the festivities. If I were a Copt girl in Alexandria right now, I'd be quietly crawling into any dark hole I could find.
Wait till these agitated devout activist Moslems calm down, and then creep out and sneak back home in the morning after the men are sated and the gang-bangs are over.
Islam: the Modern Religion. Islam: the Religion of Peace. Islam: the Tolerant Religion. Islam: the Religion of Dignity.
Did you know that one of Ayatollah's very first official acts upon establishing the Islamic Republic of Iran was to lower the age of consent to 9-years old? Poor little girls, God only knows what's going at at night in Persia these days.
Islam: the Classy Religion.

Uh, let me get this straight: the Moslems are incensed because an incensed Moslem stabbed a young nun in the back?
From the very beginning, for 1,390 years, these people have been offended about something or other.

Egyptian Scholars Warn Against Removing Shari`ah
Following growing calls by "certain quarters" for removing the Constitutional Article about Shari`ah as a source of legislation in Egypt, some 110 Egyptian scholars and men of thought warned such a move could violate societal harmony, considering Shari`ah a red line never to be crossed. “Such calls put at stake social peace in Egypt,” warned a statement signed by the intellectuals and circulated Wednesday, October 19, a copy of which was obtained by IslamOnline.net. “At a stage of significant developments both on the local and international arenas, and amid calls for real reform in Egypt, a foray of groundless criticism of Islam and Islamic Shari`ah is taking place, under foreign interference, in a bid to cancel article 2 of the Constitution,” the statement reads. The Egyptian Constitution’s second article reads: “Islam is the official religion of Egypt and Islamic Shari`ah is a main source of legislation.” Calls by some parties to scrap the constitutional article on Islamic Shari`ah have come to the surface recently, coinciding with calls for change and reform in the Arab country. The calls have mainly been championed by secular, leftist and Coptic thinkers. In a separately related matter, some Egyptians, hopeful of forming new political parties, declared they would apply to the political parties committee at the Shura Council. These included a Coptic and Pharaonic parties. The representative of the Mother Egypt Party, Mohsen Lotfi Al-Sayed, a nephew of renowned late writer and thinker Ahmed Lotfi Al-Sayed, said his party champions Pharaonic Egypt, rather than Arab or Islamic affiliations. The party calls for reviving Egypt’s Pharaonic heritage and character rather than any reference in the constitution to Arab or religious backgrounds.
"The Egyptian Constitution Should be Amended to Remove Islam as the Official Religion"
The Egyptian author Dr. Nawal Al-Sa'dawi called for amending the Egyptian constitution and eliminating the article that declares Islam to be the official state religion, 'because we have among us Copts, and because religion is a matter between man and God and no one has the right to impose his faith, his God and his rituals on others. Therefore, I am one of the die-hard opponents of a religious state, because our God should not be involved in politics in any fashion.

How interesting. Just this morning I was watching an English language translation of Nile TV, and that whole blip, was dedicated to an Iftar dinner put on by the Coptic Pope Shenouda (that's what they call him),
In the Background hung a banner with the Coptic Cross ensconced within the Crescent.(A symbolic gesture of dhimmitude)
You can watch a real video clip of it here at Mosaic http://www.linktv.org/mosaic/streamsArchive/ but the October 20th segment is not yet posted, perhaps tomorrow or Monday.

Pope Shenoda is forced to be a Dhimmi by the articles of capitulation a.k.a the pact of Omar which obliges Christians to host Muslims in their homes and Churches.
The Pope can not do nothing other than pray. He tried it the hard way when he was young, complaining loudly about attacks on Copts and legal discrimination in press conferences, press releases, ect. All that got him was removal from office by Sadat, house arrest in a desert monastery, a government appointed substitute (killed with Sadat in the famous assassination incident), the imprisonment of many Bishops of the Holy Synod, scores of clergy, Coptic leaders, and innocent ordinary Copts. Of course, to Jimmy Carter, Sadat could do no wrong. The Pope remained imprisoned for years well into the Mubarak presidency until pressure from Coptic Americans secured his release. The guy is doing what he can and I guarantee it that he has more courage than everyone here.

I sure the life of the dhimmis is difficult in Egypt, and Pope Shenoda has a difficult relationship. So humiliating. It is a shame how there is just no outcry in the West about the life of the dhimmis.

The latest news had 15,000 crazed Muslims surrounding that Coptic church.
Talk about Mama li turchi!
I look forward to reading what Magdi Allam -- a "Muslim-for-identification-purposes-only" Muslim -- writes about this lynch-mob in Alexandria, in the Corriere della Sera. At some point he too is going to have to jettison Islam, but for now it probably would be unwise.

Coptic groups in the West are making desperate calls to Congress members to intervene. Nothing is forthcoming yet… My cousin lives in the neighborhood with her husband, a shop keeper, and her daughters. I also have other family members in the City. For some reason, the phone circuits are not cooperating. I hope that they got out of there fine. I can only imagine their horror. Please make a simple phone call or email to your congressman and your senators on behalf of those besieged in Alexandria by a lynch mob and the Christians of the City, one of the oldest centers of both Western and Christian cultures.

I feel for the coptic christians..
I really am wondering if it wouldnt be better for
America to open up her doors (Too Only christians and Jews) to allow them to get the hell out of there
Then close the door to ALL Muslims...
Seperation...
Its either that or possibly a civil war..
And i do NOT have any desire for that...
But i also have less of a desire for our families and children to grow up as
SLAVES to the DEATH CULT of ISLAM..

just think that copts are the original Egyptians. TILL THE 7th century they were the majority, but after the muslim assault they went on obscure but they are brave to keep up under such a nazi environment.

"The Sunnis Have Persecuted the Shiites [And] Declared Them Infidels, and Treat Them as Second-Class Citizens"
"America, at least, has always had the courage to acknowledge its mistakes. It admitted [its] crime of slavery against the blacks, and it took action, and continues to take action, to make amends for that historical crime. But the Sunnis have persecuted the Shi'ites, declared them infidels, and continue to treat them in their countries as second-class citizens. It seems that they are not making do with that, and have returned today to complete what they started in previous centuries.
"In the past they did not acknowledge their persecution of the Shi'ites – and here they are, in the 21st century, continuing their massacres and crimes against them, in full view of the world. Do these people not feel the shame and disgrace that shroud them?"

There. There`s the solution to the root cause. Tactics and strategy should be directed towards the only solution to that problem in line with Mo`s prophecy that only the true islam would survive.
