To prevent them from being adopted by Christian missionaries. "We will not tolerate this. It is an international conspiracy to bring Muslim children into the fold of Christianity and secularism." Horror of horrors! These children could grow up as Christians! Let us make sure they grow up as murderous fanatics instead! From Rediff.com:
The Muttehida Majlis-e-Amal, an alliance of six pro-Taliban religious parties, has given a countrywide call through mosque loudspeakers, banners and pamphlets, to adopt children orphaned in the October 8 earthquake.'We have come to know that the [Pervez] Musharraf regime has decided to hand over the orphans and unaccompanied children to Christian missionaries and the Aga Khan Development Network,' said Naimatullah Khan, the former mayor of Karachi.
AKDN, which plays a key role in primary/secondary level education in Pakistan, has been given the task of revamping the curriculum, and the jihadis are venomous about it. They accuse it of promoting secularism and eliminating jihad through the new curriculum expected to be implemented soon.
'We will not tolerate this. It is an international conspiracy to bring Muslim children into the fold of Christianity and secularism. We urge you to leave your children with us if you are unable to raise them. We will provide them a good future,' said Khan.
Human trafficking in the quake's aftermath
Taking a leaf out of MMA's book and to curtail child trafficking, the Jamatud Dawa (the defunct Lashkar-e-Tayiba, the largest group of Pakistani militants fighting in Indian Kashmir) has announced that it will take responsibility for abandoned, orphan and unaccompanied children.
'The Jamatud Dawa has a huge complex at Misrial road in Rawalpindi, by the name of Maaz bin Jabal. We will set up colonies in the complex where these children would be put up according to their age. Various ayahs will raise them, ensuring motherly love,' says Professor Zafar Iqbal, head of the Jamatud Dawa's education wing.

'Quake killed over 3000 militants'
Onkar Singh in New Delhi | October 17, 2005 17:57 IST
Intelligence sources have confirmed that over 3000 terrorists who were waiting for an opportunity to cross into India from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were killed in the October 8 earthquake.
A top intelligence officer told rediff.com that while hundreds of terrorists were killed because of the huge buildings crumbling, most others were killed due to massive explosions that took place because of fire breaking out in their ammunition dumps.

Still preparing for Wilma... thank you all for the well-wishes.
Going to see an old friend this morning, a Coptic Christain from Egypt... I'm sure he'll have something to say about the situation there.
It really is amazing to hear what "protected dhimmi" Christians say about their former "protectors" when they make it out... it would be a real eye-opener for people like Bush, the ISM, Amy Goodman, John Esposito, Juan Cole, Grover Norquist. Of course, most of them would write all the Muslim atrocities off as "procations by Israel.".... riiiiight. Settles in land lost to Israel in a defensive war are WHY Muslims "lose the truth path of Islam." I see.
Our dog goes to the kennel today and tomorrow night we leave for Atlanta... or not.

when you see an "Arab-looking" person wearing a cross, take some time to talk to him or her about religion and background... see if she's a christian from a Muslim hellhole.
A friendly, non-invasive approach is to say "Ah, yes... Lebanon. I've read a lot about that place. It saddens me to have read some of the reports of Muslims harassing Christians; do you know anything about that?"
You will usually get an earful back; they appreciate the fact that ANYONE even knows about their plight, much less seems to care that they are suffering.
Contrariwise, I have a close friend who's made a friend in church: a Christian girl from "palestine" who BLAMES THE JEWS for all of the suffering of her people. I emailed her an article reprinted her a while back about the mass exodus (no pun intended) of Christians out of Bethlehem and into...Israel (the so-called land of apartheid, racism, fascism, and oppression, no less.)
Conversation IS THE KEY... if they are from Lebanon, ask them about the Christian Maronite writer, Khalil Gibran... if from Egypt, ask them about the Copts.... etc. You may be surprised at how readily they will talk to you, and the (usually) candid, first-hand, honest assessment of dhimmitude.
And like I said, these people are usually overjoyed that someone has even taken an interest...I can't tell you how many times I have amazed immigrants with a little knowledge about their homeland. Once they realize that A) You don't hate them; and B) You actually know where their homeland is, they are amazed. But if they are escaped dhimmis and catch on that C) You are aware of their plight; and finally D) That you know some of the TRUTH about living under the oppression of dhimmitude; you can see their eyes light up with amazment. And they will speak the truth. And it will verify everything that Spencer and Hugh says.

But DON'T assume too much.... I have almost put my foot in my mouth talking to a Hindu restauratuer who's name was ALI (man could that guy COOK!) They had a little statue of Ganesh with the offerings of incense and food, and his nametag said, plain as day: "ALI." But in talking to him, I found out that he was a practicing Hindu.
And I have met several Christian girls named "Ayesha," "Aiesha," etc.

Any group of people can take in abandoned children simply because it's the right thing to do, but to these guys what is right, is to save them from (shudder) Christianity. What would happen to these children if there were no Christians in the area to rescue them?? The terrorists probably could care less...they got bigger fish to fry...

What`s going to happen to the children is easy to see. The boys will be groomed to be future jihadists.
The girls wil be used every which way by the jihadists and army - and some will probably be traded ending up in the brothels of Karachi Islamabad etc. or even Arabia.

I feel terribly sad for these poor, homeless, parentless babies. What a miserable plight, orphaned and then seized by rabid Islamic zealots to be indoctrinated and forced into the lifelong service of Islam. What a shame they have no voice in their own future.
Imagine a bright, happy Christian child attending a normal school, where reading, spelling, math, and maybe even music are taught. Then picture a dazed, dull muslim child, rocking to a fro as he endlessly recites the Qur'an in a language he does not even understand. After six hours of chanting foreign, meaningless words, the real lessons begin. Jihad 101, hate Jews, hate Christians, and destroy the crusaders in the Great Satan. This is for boys.
The little girls are probably sex slaves and domestic servants for the faculty, the ones that don't prefer the boys. But we can't have these precious children corrupted by Christianity, allah forbid!

Egypt forbids Christian children residing in Christine orphanges to be adopted, except by family members or an Eyptian Christian family. Adoptions from other countries are not allowed. This seems generally true for Muslim countries, even when the children are in Christian orphanges and have come from Christian families. That is so sad, considering the fate and bleak future of many of these children, Christian and Muslim.

If you hit this thread again, you might check out Brigette Gabriel's website. She's a Lebanese Christian TV anchor who speaks directly to how middle eastern Christians like her were indoctrinated at an early age against Jews and her experience as a teenager during the Lebanese "civil" war and how well her sick mother was treated by Israeli medics, saving her life before treating wounded Israeli soldiers.
