OSLO – The recent rioting in Paris suburbs and elsewhere in Europe should not have surprised anyone. Europe's Muslim communities are powder kegs, brimming with an alienation born of both an assiduously inculcated antagonism toward infidel society and an infidel society whose integration policies - which should actually be called segregation policies - have perversely encouraged this ire. I first noticed the problem when I lived in Amsterdam in 1999. A visitor to that city might imagine that not one Muslim lived there. But to venture just a few blocks beyond the tourist-crowded streets was to learn otherwise. In my neighborhood, the sidewalks were crowded with hijab-clad women pushing baby carriages. There were as many signs in Arabic as in Dutch. Outside the "neighborhood center" waved a large Turkish flag.Such districts, I learned, could be found across Europe. Muslims were a huge, rapidly growing - and highly segregated - minority. In city after city, downtown areas were almost 100 percent European, the outskirts increasingly Muslim.
Americans know about ghettos. For many of our families, they've been a stage in the transition from immigrant to native. Many ghetto residents are still, essentially, foreigners; integration takes place largely in the next generation, as the children of immigrants go to school, find jobs, and leave the ghetto behind.
Not in Europe. Officially, to be sure, France is less multicultural than most European countries - witness its rejection of religious labels in public documents and its ban on hijabs in schools. But enduring segregation is a fact of life in France as it is elsewhere on the continent. Millions of "French Muslims" don't consider themselves French. A government report leaked last March depicted an increasingly two-track educational system: More and more Muslim students refuse to sing, dance, participate in sports, sketch a face, or play an instrument. They won't draw a right angle (it looks like part of the Christian cross). They won't read Voltaire and Rousseau (too antireligion), Cyrano de Bergerac (too racy), Madame Bovary (too pro-women), or Chrétien de Troyes (too chrétien). One school has separate toilets for "Muslims" and "Frenchmen"; another obeyed a Muslim leader's call for separate locker rooms because "the circumcised should not have to undress alongside the impure."...

Here is an interview with Singapore Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. If you read between the lines here, you can see how Singapore successfully neuters its Muslims. They tell them what Islam is; they tell them what Jihad means. They don't let them get away with anything.
If France wants to keep its Muslims, they will have to do the same thing to survive. They will have to spend the money to take away control of Islam from the Muslims themselves and they will have to suspend commonly held notions of Western liberty regarding religion. If not, they will lose their country, in one way or another - war, partition, etc..
Here is the legal framework that Singapore uses to keep its Muslims under control - the Administration of Muslim Law Act. You will notice that the State decides what Islam is and all Muslim conversions are to be reported to the State. Freedom of religion cannot exist with Islam. You either suppress it completely or you have to deal with it in some other manner.

BARCELONA : Singapore Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong says the civilised world must unite to defeat the global scourge of terrorism, which claimed its latest victims in bomb blasts in Amman.
Speaking at the opening of the East-West Dialogue in Barcelona, Spain, he also highlighted the need to differentiate between militant Islamic terrorism and mainstream Islam.
The latest blasts in Jordan indicate that global terrorist groups are becoming increasingly decentralized, and their leaders have been recruiting home-grown operatives to carry out attacks.
Mr Goh says these are two dangerous trends that could complicate security actions in the war against terrorism.
But the biggest fight, he stressed, must be mounted by the moderate Muslim communities in the East and West.
Said Mr Goh, "They must deepen their internal dialogue to help win the battle against extremism. They must debunk the religious underpinning of radical ideology and terrorism."
He also called on the international community to gain the confidence of the moderates to engage the extremists.
Sharing Singapore's experience, Mr Goh said its education, housing policies and legislation have helped foster religious and racial harmony.
There are also special organisations like the Islamic Religious Council, or MUIS, and an a Minister to oversee Muslim affairs.
A Religious Rehabilitation Group was also been formed in 2003 to counsel detainees of the Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist group and their families.
It also educates the Muslim community on the true meaning of jihad and the terrorist threat. - CNA /ct

In England recently my nephew, who attends a secondary school in wiltshire was caught writing 'god save the queen' on his textbook. This was seen as a religeous reference to christianity, and he was severly punished. Another day he brought in a bible, and once more was punished, (bibles are also banned, although the qu'ran is placed in full vision of the class). My older brother, who is a commited Christian removed his son from the school as they simply refused to let him practise his religion. Anyone had a similar experience? If I had been in my brother's position the teacher responsible would have ended up with serious injuries.

No, I have not and I would take a dim view of anything similar.
Amongst the obvious lines to take (local and national press and MP) which your brother and his family may or may not want to pursue, teenagers being very sensitive and the main priority being the lad's welfare, I would suggest that he dropped a line to the Institute for the study of Islam and Christianity who are linked to the Barnabas Fund for persecuted Christians.
Regular JW/DW watchers will recall my shamelessly plugging their report Islam in Britain last week which "looks in particular at the growing influence of Islam in media, education, politics, law and finance, and the way in which the UK is becoming subtly islamized." £5.99 +95p P&P from the website.
From the tone of that report I imagine that they would be interested, and possibly helpful.

And underneath it all are the passages in Qur'an and Hadith that tell Muslims over and over again how awful are the Infidels, how they must never be taken as friends (except as pretend-friends, in order to protect, or promote, Islam), and that the world is essentially divided in two: between the Believer and the Infidel.
Why this is not discussed openly, why the tenets of Islam, the attitudes of Islam, the atmospherics of Islam, are not subject to analysis and debate, so that the Infidels of Europe can come to understand that "integration" is a dream, or that "integration" cannot take place except to the extent that Muslims choose to ignore the very teachings of Islam, and that it would be suicidal to believe that this or that Muslim willing to claim he has given up such belief but "remains a Muslim" could not, at any point in the future, revert to the real thing, or if not he, than any of his progeny, right down the line.
The attitude, bleak and realistic, and uncompromising, that is called for, goes against the Idols of the Age. It goes against "we all want the same thing" and "we can all get along." It goes againset the God of Diversity. It goes against "Brotherhood of Man, Fatherhood of God" bomfoggery. It goes against Rodney King. It goes against Bush's apparent respect for anything called a "religion."
But it happens to be necessary, and true. And it is the only means for the citizens of Western Europe to save themselves, morally, intellectually, and in the end, physically. They may now inhabit a decadent and silly world of their own making, but even within that world there are still signs of mental life. And they have no right to be so ungrateful and indifferent to the legacy they inherited, and are required to protect, so that least some among them, or some in the future, can carry it forward, and add to it.

Under Sarkozy, France is taking a similar approach by effectively nationalizing Islam, paying for the construction of new mosques, training imams, and presumably monitoring the sermons and literature for incitement. Holland, Spain and the UK are following suit in the hope that they can soothe the savage beast. But of course, the Muslims have other ideas:
"They think imams educated here will be liberal," says Tonca. This is a misunderstanding. There is no guarantee that when you educate imams in Holland they will not be fundamentalists."

Unhampered by the Human Rights Racket in the West, the Chinese government regularly collects Muslim Uighurs for "re-education". The ones that fail to graduate, do not return to their villages.

Interesting the Muslim want "independence" within
sovereign states. However they don't want independence from their welfare checks.

While still in junior high, impressed by its somber and sober mien, and those homilies in foreign languages on the back page (a different language every day), as a teenager, I subscribed to The Christian Science Monitor. Those were the days of the sinister Joseph C. Harsch, whose take on the Middle East was defined entirely to his palpable dislike of Israel, a dislike so palpable -- this was before a single Israeli soldier was in the West Bank or Gaza -- that it surely was prompted by the obvious pathological condition we all know so well, though some are so shy about identifying it. Yet some of the CSM's reporters, and now this article by Bruce Bawer (who 3-4 years ago had an equally good report on Muslims in Amsterdam in, I think, the now-defunct Partisan Review) allow one to believe that the Islam-ignoring, Israel--bashing days of Harsch are gone, and something more sensible has replaced it.
What explains it? A larger dose of their own medicine, perhaps.

Wilst one appreciates hearing any solution, doubt
if anyone or anything can halt the march of Miltant Islam. There are simply too many Muslims
in Western countries breeding faster than rats.How do do imagine Kosovo is now 90% Albanian Muslims - because they have 15-20 kids per family and outbred the Serbs even when their rate was 5-6 children, now Serbs are 2.something - 3 offspring after World War 2?? There is and will be other 'Kosovos' : nightmares if our Leaders don't do
something fast. Short of bringing in forced Birth
Control for Muzzies we are set to become Dhimmi minorities in our own lands. Our wealth,culture,religion will disappear into stinking 3rd World Islamic Hellholes : the fate of our children and grandchildren is too terrible to contemplate. For their sakes if not our own, we must be prepared to fight Islam to the Death.

It will require something DRASTIC... Islam has already contaminated our society in unacceptable ways far more than we are comfortable admitting... What our remedy is, and whether we will be able to bring ourselves to implement "it" are discussions we must begin now and frankly... Such a discussion currently appears to be beyond the pale. I have not heard the "solution" yet, not by a long shot... My intuition tells me "it" will probably include features that will harm our society and our culture gravely, perhaps requiring us to adopt the tactics and attitudes of our enemy in order to defeat him by waging war back at him more relentlessly, deviously, and brutally... But is this possible? Would we? Could we? Even if we decide to act and are successful at turning back the tide of Islam's onslaught... our actions to survive and defeat this enemy may still cause irreparable harm to our culture...
I am convinced that we have entered the epoch of Islam's gravest threat to the un-Islamic world -- Nothing may work, short of Islam's complete annihilation -- Is that something we are willing to contemplate? I despair that we may not consider this eventuality until it is too late, or worse, never contemplate this eventuality. Yet this is Islam's intent against us -- our cultural, social, legal, and spiritual annihilation... Why are so many still sleep walking?
I know -- it is too horrific still for us to contemplate what we MUST DO to stop them...

Jsla, there could never be a complete annihilation of the religion, at least not without destroying the world and our own societies along with it. A better idea would be to make it so painful and exhausting to be a muslim that it dies on its own, a victim of its own members unwillingness to adapt.
Outlandish laws, draconian rules of conduct, brutal codes that restrict building or opening businesses, near-complete isolation of muslim countries; these are the devices of marginalizing the religion to nothingness.
Annihilating the non-muslim useful idiots that support islam, now that is an idea I can get behind. I would start with the ACLU and go from there.

Perhaps that's a start -- a small one at best...
For me, 9/11 became a billboard proclaiming Islam's black intentions, and the pall of dust and flames and powdered bodies told me they could win with these brutal soul destroying tactics... I deeply resent the fact that Muslim waste matter crawled out of a Muslim sewer seeping from the heart of Islam's cesspool, and thrust ISLAM'S nightmare of intolerance and hatred upon us. I deeply resent that out of grim necessity Islam forces us to narrow OUR apertures of thought and OUR capacity for tolerance and OUR hard won plurality...
I have always disliked the overheated zealotry of the ACLU. I have always despised Michael Moore and his slimey sophistry -- (Ever since "Pets or Food?" in which he mercilessly exploited the impoverished underclass, and cynically used the squalor of these people as a prop to express his marxist and anti-American lies I have loathed him...) But how dare Islam! ? -- How dare Muslims come here and force us to constrict our society? How dare they force our hand to polarize our culture and sign away our precious and hard won freedoms? Yet this is what we must do in order to marshall a defense against their onslaught! Muslims are akin to metastatic cancer... What you say may be true. It may be impossible to annihilate Islam -- but measures need to be soberly considered which will stop Islam in its tracks... The nightmare of Islam will not end until Islam is no longer here...
Some maintain that the threats of Hitler or of Soviet hegemony posed a far more existential threat to Western survival than Islam -- But I am convinced that this is the gravest threat we have ever faced -- this scourge is gaining speed and intensity -- Islam is a nearly perfectly designed cultural, spiritual, and social eating machine -- Like a shark -- primitive yet singularly effective... and the Muslims are metastasizing everywhere -- Philippines, China, Russia, France, Belgium, Germany, UK, USA, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Denmark, Brazil, Australia...
