Judge won't limit border inspections of Muslim conference-goers

A welcome and surprising bit of anti-dhimmitude, this. From AP, with thanks to all who sent this in:

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A judge Thursday refused to prohibit U.S. border officers from conducting potentially lengthy security checks on Muslim-Americans on their way home from a religious conference in Canada that begins Friday.

The New York Civil Liberties Union sought the court action on behalf of five New York residents who were among dozens of people fingerprinted, photographed, questioned and delayed for up to six hours at the border following last year's "Reviving the Islamic Spirit" convention in Toronto.

U.S. District Judge William Skretny, while characterizing last year's stops as "understandably frustrating," disagreed with the NYCLU's contention that they violated the group's constitutional rights to practice religion and avoid unlawful searches.

"Plaintiffs were delayed for an extended period of time and subjected to unexplained inspection techniques that were inconvenient and made them feel uncomfortable," Skretny wrote. "The government readily admits that plaintiffs' experience at the border was not ideal ... As unfortunate as this incident may have been, I find that it was not unconstitutional."

The NYCLU sought the injunction preventing similar inspections based solely on attendance at this year's conference as part of a lawsuit that also sought the destruction of any personal information collected during the stops.

In addition to denying the injunction, Skretny dismissed the case altogether.

"'Plaintiffs were delayed for an extended period of time and subjected to unexplained inspection techniques that were inconvenient and made them feel uncomfortable,'"

According to the Multicultural subsection of the Political Correctness Code the two prong test of "inconvenience" and "uncomfortableness" were clearly met in this case. What was that judge thinking? The next thing you know we will have federal judges ruling that the posting of the Ten Commandments is constitutional. Oh, what a minute that already happened. I wonder what the ACLU thinks of these two slapdowns?

"Plaintiffs were delayed for an extended period of time and subjected to unexplained inspection techniques that were inconvenient and made them feel uncomfortable,"

Dont we go through some extreme inspections at the airport or how about New York Cities bus and rail ports???

This is all about the war on terrorism and we are tough on it as should be...Thanks to them we all must suffer through it and if they dont like it they can go home.

Of topic but something that is worth pondering, some websites are discussing a General-Strike in Australia.I first noticed this trend on one of the un-mentionable sites. For once I see some of the white power creeps are beginning to use their brains in a constructive way

This idea is no more fantastic then the idea of a muslim-less society.
Do not misunderstand, Cronulla made me so happy I couldn't believe it
Cronulla was successful in the fact that it made everyone realise that we are all thinking the same thing: enough is enough
Cronulla was UNsuccessful though because the media spun it into some "neo-nazi" crap (even though I didn't see a single swastika in the any of the footage
A general strike is the perfect solution for four reasons:

1.The government will lose ALOT of money (the only thing they care about), forcing them to react and give us what we want; A promise that they will specifically target Middle-Eastern/muslim crime. (This statement will make the Middle-Easterners react enough for the goverment to possibly have to take military action against them, I mean they all have guns we saw that the day after the Cronulla Pride rally).

2.It will recruit the media as "war dogs" against the government. This idea is so perfect it will have the media checking up on the goverment forcing them to show results, in relation to their promises (as they do with every promise the goverment makes, theres nothing the media love more then bringing a broken promise to light).

3.It will alow Asians and Islanders to participate as they hate Lebs just as much as us, this will also alleviate the chance of a "racist" spin.

4.No violence makes this idea unstoppable, and crippling to those in power. It is the only way to make them CARE, because up in their ivory towers they need not be concerned with the petty street wars between the commoners.

Yes people may lose one day's pay, but what is that compared to what they will lose when the Muslims declare their own Islamic State inside Sydney and then start killing innocent white australians? Muslims are famous for trying to take over once their population is big enough (Kosovo).

However, for this to be fully effective, we need to produce PHYSICAL letters, not e-mails, as e-mails can easily be filtered into junk and spam folders.

We should do both. Hammer EVERYONE with letters, emails and sms messages regarding the upcoming General Strike. Inform everyone that the date for the general strike will be revealed at a later time, once the media is on board with spreading the word.
I would add to it that the campaign include a boycott of newspapers.
On the same day no one is to purchase a newspaper to symbolise we are fed up with the media picking and choosing our reasons for marching.
A general strike is not my idea, but really it belongs to all of the world, every western country that is plagued by a Middle-Eastern/muslim population.
Letters, emails, sms messages; Start spreading them furiously, mention an upcoming general strike in a month, after the holidays. Once the media is on board and is spreading word of "a General Strike is going to be conducted sometime in January next year, in protest of the increasing trouble the Middle-Eastern/muslim population brings to some Australian cities, particularly Sydney..."
You get the idea, this could spread to an international level.
You wanna wake up the goverment for throwing us to the wolves: The General Strike will do that.
You wanna use the media as a tool to achieve our goal: The General Strike will do that.
It is flawless and untouchable, A General Strike in Sydney will force the goverment to take action against the Middle-Eastern/muslim population, and all that is needed is for them to be admittedly singled out, then things will go from there. Once the rest of the world sees how successful our General Strike was, it will start happening globally, probably in France first.

Seasonal greetings to all
Shiva

Cpt,

I added your site to my 'favorites' list.

The petetion, IMO, is a step in the right direction and addresses many vaild points. And public debate of the Qur'an would be a real eye opener for our woefully uninformed citizenry.

However, and please accept this as constructive criticism, your petetion needs work.

It is inconsitently formatted and unprofessional looking.

I suspect that most folks don't know what a hadith is.

And of those who get all the way to the 'evil' part, many will toss it in the can.

I like the idea though, and hope that you'll rework it a bit before soliciting signatures.

Note the impact of a single misspelled word.

"Plaintiffs were delayed for an extended period of time and subjected to unexplained inspection techniques that were inconvenient and made them feel uncomfortable,"

If I ever feel like I’m inconvenienced or made uncomfortable by going somewhere, you know what I do? That’s right, I don’t go there! Stop crossing the harsh border with your sensitive feelings or at least toughen up a bit and plan ahead.

We, as Americans, know that if we want to purchase a one way ticket anywhere, we are immediately “flagged” for inspection. Uncomfortable? Inconvenient? Yes and yes. So if we have to do it, we plan ahead fully expecting delays. I book travel for people this way every day and the only complaint they might have is that a bunch of ISLAMIC terrorists have made life difficult for us all. So we adapt.

Your gripe is not with border police. They are doing fine work. You should, however, contact your local Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and/or CAIR representative and let them know that it would make your lives a lot more comfortable if their organizations would cease blowing up people that don’t belong to their cults and instead learn diplomacy, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control. (The Webster definitions, not the twisted double-meanings many in your faith have implemented when speaking to the MSM.)

Their indignation is misplaced. We all have to go through uncomfortable, extended periods of inspection at every turn because of the actions of Islamists, individuals that are following the mandates of the Koran. Thus, I feel no sympathy for those returning from the conference as they will most likely be fed a line extremism as they have been in the past

First that judge needs a medal, a hero to the nation in my eyes.

Second, Shiva that is the first constructive thing I have heard in a long time. Do you think there is any chance it will take off.

Where did you first come across this can you point me to the source. I believe Australia is going to be leading the way with how we tackle the Islamists.

"A Daniel come to judgment."

More Daniels -- state, Federal, Supreme -- needed, as well as magistrates in the civil law system as well as common-law judges, if there is to be the rule of man-made law anywhere.

Thesus,

According to the Multicultural subsection of the Political Correctness Code the two prong test of "inconvenience" and "uncomfortableness" were clearly met in this case.

That's ten years in diversity reeducation for the officers. What happened?

We need more judges like, Judge William Skretny, in our judicial system. Islam is the curse of the 21st century. If they don't like to be searched they could always LEAVE; no one invited them here. God bless Judge Skretny.

Cair loses every time it plays a modern multi-culti hand, especially when they also lose in immediate terms such as in this sensible jugement.

Cair wants Muslims to be blameless (they create an usafe world and then complain when the world begins to react in rational ways to their very presence), but they also want to present Islam as the eternal Truth. Can't have it both ways, even in the twisted dhimmi brain. If you need to appeal to Western norms for protection of your way of life, sort of hard to dis the West at the same time. 7th century tactics don't play so well in an era of instant info, which is why the internet is turning out to be the West's tool of salvation. If Mr. Hooper wasn't out to convet or subdue us, I would almost feel sorry for him.

The multi-culti langauge they use was created to protect victims, not perps.

Finally, I have to say I welcome inconveniences in airports. Makes me feel safe.

Hopefully this judge is one of many that may be waking up to the reality of the the threats of Islam,And who stepped out of those black robes for a moment and took a serious look at what is at stake if he rules in favor of the plaintiffs in this case, which could seriously undermine the border security personnel of this country.

After all the little old lady from Pasadena doesn't get a pass either. Anytime I have made a plane switch in the middle of a trip,I know the TSA will be advised of that venue change and that I will be pulled over for a more intense search. I have missed my new connecting flights twice over the past three years because of this. But guess what! >>>I'm not complaining.

What a nice Christmas present.

Posted by: the poetess [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 24, 2005 8:43 PM

it is about time we get a good judge who knows that the real threat, and if the muslims feel unconfortable, well we can tell them at least they still have heads intact!

Posted by: Lulu [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 24, 2005 11:13 PM

OT but America's favorite Muslim, Ibrahim Hooper, has come out to assure us the Muslims 'revere' Christmas.

http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/opinion/atoz/article_911110.php

It's nice to know that despite "As forces of hate in this country and worldwide try to pull Muslims and Christians apart (cough cough Spencer)" Muslims and Christians "are in desperate need of a unifying force that can bridge the widening gap of interfaith misunderstanding and mistrust."

When I misunderstood I trusted but when I understood I mistrust.

I first found it on a white-power site, unfortunatly Mr Spencer does not approve that links to these sites here
My self I also think it is some of the best constructive thinking I have seen, regardless of where it comes from.
But to organize a general strike is no easy thing to achieve so if not a general strike but a private decision on the part of thousands of workers to stay home, is indeed the sort of peaceful protest against open-borders and multiculti which the sedition-law dictators find difficult to answer.
If we look at the role that mosques play in the moslim communities, and what role they play in riots,we would learn a lot.
We infidels should stop looking at the koran,as all the discussions around this evil book are no more than a red herring. Its the mosques that should come under the spotlight. It is the mosque that cements the moslims together, and in times like the riots in Paris and Cronulla, the acted as command posts. The mosques make up the web of the evil spider/islam.
What we lack is not the knowledge of islam, but the organization to combat it.
If our goverments do not take the necessary steps, the it is up to us to start our own actions.
This could be done by small strikes any-time muslims are demanding extra priviledges at our work places.A small strike here a small strike there, will start to wake people up,before the have a mosque built next to their residence to wake them up
As mentioned before, losing one or two days pay is worth losing a life time to living in dhimmitude

Wow; thank you judge.

A fine Solstice present.

Good luck to all you downunders and the petition. Wish i saw the same activism here.

Merry Christmas, Hag Sameach and Happy Solstice to one and all.

I just viewed the web site of the conference. I find it interesting that one of the speakers (and the only non Arab one it appears) is Eric Margolis. Somehow I'm not surprised.

Shiva

I think that it's too early for a general strike in Sydney.

We have to bide our time and wait.

A lot of Sydneysiders that I know believe that the riots in Cronulla were "racist".

The media would just spin a general strike into being something racist.

I think that we should bide our time until muslims piss EVERYBODY off.

Somebody give this judge a bulletproof vest and the Congressional Medal of Your Honor!!! The liberals won't like this decision, the liberals won't like this decision, the demecommies won't like this decision, the Hollyweird leftist won't like this decision, and who CAIRs what the Islamofeces of other than America think!!! The majority of Muslims aren't terrrorists, but the majority of them are Muslim. This judge has moved with the experince of 9/11 and used common sense along with a feel for national security to obviously come to his conclusion. I mean a "Revive the Islamic Spirit" conference in Toronto, Canada. There's no telling what kind of pro American message was preached during this convention. What is the the other option left for us in light of this fact? A six hour check still isn't enough in my book. Any one terrorist can take out a room or building with the push of a button. They should be detain until the war on terror is won. Either that or stay in the country that held the "Reviving the Islamic Spirit" conference. May they need a building blown up, or innocent workers kidnapped and beheaded on video via the internet.
