Muhammad cartoon controversy update: instead of praising Rasmussen for his defense of Western values of free speech, the EU is demanding that he stand down and adopt their policy of appeasement. The European Union (EU) seriously reacted on Friday for the first time against a Danish newspaper’s publication of insulting caricatures of the Prophet, Mohammed.Franco Frattini, the Deputy EU commissioner for Justice, Freedom, and Security, noting the publication as "foolishness and indiscretion" condemned the cartoons Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rassmussen backed up on the grounds of "freedom of speech and thought".
Such publications, Frattini emphasized, will serve to radicalism by fomenting hostility against Islam and foreigners.
I see. Portray Islam as having something violent about it and it will only make Muslims violent. See, there is nothing violent about it. Just ignore all those Islamic killers, suicide bombers, etc. If you notice them, you will only breed more.
And people swallow that as a serious analysis.
In response to the "freedom of press" that Mr. Rasmussen used as an excuse, the EU official said the media is not free to make a news story out of anything. Frattini assessing the issue in his personal perspective said if the publication were about his own values, it would hurt him personally as a Catholic Christian and he would have taken great offence.
Is that so, Frattini? Would you threaten to kill anyone in response? What do you think of the detractions of Catholicism that can be found by the bushel in Western countries? Do they move you to violent impulses?
To be honest, such codes of behavior will accelerate Islamophobia across Europe, said Frattini, emphasizing his respect for the freedom of speech.Frattini emphasized the cartoons published in Jyllands Posten did not affect people's ideas on Islam and noted despite everything he is against restricting the freedom of the press.
Journalists and caricaturists of course, he said, have the right to publish such materials; however, when the case is evaluated in political terms the situation is not so proper. Frattini said he sees the point of Muslims who expressed offense and hurt and termed the incident as a scandal.

The EU is the biggest joke in the history of Western values. It is to the shame of Europeans that they have not risen up in arms to cast off this mouldy Marxist wet blanket. Suicide is the only product that can be delivered from the this post-capitalist carcass.

The EU is not a joke, its an undemocratic nightmare.
Freedom of speach should not be given up to this so called religion and its perverted value system, again a small minded idividual who has not worked out that the Islamic value system has no relationship to his Christian based value system, what a dork and this is the quality of people who run Europe, a man who knows nothing and just makes it worse.
Mr Frattini will be OK, he has bodyguards, he lives in rich areas and is well guarded, its people like me and my family who will do the dying, the small people, the plebs, he and his familly will be safe, so big and brave of you Mr Frattini to give this bigotted religion even more control of what we can say you poor misguided and very incompetent fool.
Alarmed Pig Farmer, does it have to come to that!!! How can I as a law abiding peaceful European even contemplate such a thing, but it will come to that if people like this makewieght don't wake up from their senseless Euroarrogance.

My theory is that once the ruling elite has emplaced its olympian council, the only way to get back free will is by taking to the streets.
The EU is fast taking form as history's replacement for the Soviet Union. Remember, by the time that malformed organization imploded, it was too late for the inhabitants.

I am very pleased with the refusal of the Danish Prime Minister or the newspaper concerned to apologize.
Denmark, deserves respect for not only saving every jew from the Nazis, but also for fielding the most beautiful blondes in its Olympic squad.

Well I think that true democracy no longer exists in Europe with the EU, elected governments carry out policy under the direction of the EU which is not elected, they do not have to answer to the people.
Does this prat answer to the people, no he does not, what right has he to tell me what I can say or not, how dare he tell an elected politician what to do, he has not been elected, he has been placed in his position, he does not represent me or the people of Europe, he represents a group of corrupt failed politicians and their view of the world.

I have a question to ask..
Since it is both allah and mohammed they are so worried about..
If allah is god
1. Cant he take a joke?
2. Cant he stand up to scrutiny?
3. Cant he answer questions?
4. Cant his prophet's so called works defend stand any scrutiny?
5. Cant islam handle even so basic questions?
6. Cant mohammed and allah stand to see their pictures in the newspaper?
Christians long ago resolved these issues the answer is..
If he is God he has to be able to handle it otherwise he isnt god...
If he is a prophet his words must be able to stand any test and be 100% accurate or else he isnt a prophet..
The Old and New testaments in the Bible pass these tests...
The Koran cannot...
therefore the Koran and Mohammed are both

Have we learned nothing from the Rushdie affair? How sad that these cowards in the EU don’t have the guts to protect speech regardless of how unpopular it is in one quarter or another.
Of course, we could go on listing all art that devout Christians find offensive. And we can remember the recent example in the Tate museum, where an “artist” desecrated the Talmud, Bible, and Koran—and had to remove it over fears of violence from … guess who?

See it the problem isn´t islam, the problem is the silliness and relativism of western, the democracy is in danger for the dhirmitude, but Western prefers putting the rope in their neck that being proud of their human rights.
Islam is like is, but we can fight them, and politicians don´t want, they only want quietness, but quietness and peace of the cementeries, peace of Stalin´s cementeries.

will the tie come that the Danes will need to apologise for their valiant stand against Hitler and his hatred to the Jews? This is the same freedom to the people. Just because the uslim world hates the Jews we don't have to follow suit,just because they refuse to discuss anything about the Koran or it's antiJewishand antChristian contents must we remain quiet and let our brothers and sisters be kiled.Never. Are they for real?!! Offend the Islamofeces by telling the truth about them? Europe deserves what they get. Why don't they institute Sharria law right now. France is begging to surrender to anybody. Spain allowed Islamofeces to pick their leader. They tricked Germany into releasing a murderous Islamofeces to Islamofecesland (pick an Arab country, anyone). Now they are trying to surpress free speech in Denmark. I pray that the Danes maintain their freedoms and continue to repell the insults of the cowards in the EU. God bless you.

The anti-Jihad must be waged on many fronts, and the most important is in confronting wrong minded non-Muslims about the mistakes they're making in not recognizing the contours of this war and not bothering to familiarize themselves even slightly with the tenets of Islam and Islam's rapine history...
It is a difficult task to write to these misguided souls without appearing to them like you are the bigot, or that you are the one with a radical and nefarious agenda, not the Muslims...
