Fitzgerald: Take a tour of DawaNet

Jihad Watch Board Vice President Hugh Fitzgerald offers a pedagogic and defensive exercise:

It is useful to study the offerings at the www.dawanet.com website, especially the sample presentations of Ramadan, or the ways that Muslim parents are carefully instructed in a step-by-step wooing and winning of teachers and principals. There is even, if you look around, a precise guide as to when to invite the teacher or school administrators home to have a "delicious meal of chicken and pita" and so on. It is all down to a science -- a carefully calculated and calibrated program, to ensure that whatever demands you make on a school, from the setting aside of a prayer room, to letting students out for such prayer, to permitting Muslims essentially to conduct propaganda -- Da'wa -- freely in the schools, under one guise or another ("Sharing Ramadan" Outreach, promoted by CAIR, is the best-known) are granted, and granted happily.

Much of what is at www.dawanet.com is simply rehashed or reposted stuff from various speakers' bureaus -- all designed to prepare you for your propagandistic missionary work in the schools, if you are an attentive Muslim. But some of it is even more sinister. It would be wise if parents and teachers and administrators alike visited this site, and fully informed themselves of just how studied and thought-out the propaganda effort is -- and made sure that none of it gets by in the classrooms in which they teach, or which they oversee, or which their students inhabit.

More than one John Walker Lindh -- I can think of an East Coast example -- has been set on the course of Islam and is off seeking a suitable bride in Yemen because of a smiling Pakistani roommate (or some such) he had at prep school and then at Harvard, or schools like it. The problem is everywhere, at every level.

Eternal vigilance has to be exercised. This jihadist cult threatens everyone who does not belong to it, in a way that the Hare Krishnas and the other well-known cults never did. And it will permanently stunt the growth of all those who enter it. You do not want to stunt your child's mental growth, do you?

So you need to study with care those parts of www.dawanet.com that are most relevant and most revealing. It is not hard to do. You can print out some of the stuff and share it with other parents. You can protest -- or better yet, preempt the efforts of the smiling lady who wants to come to St. Grottlesex or your child's homeroom to tell everyone about the wonders of Ramadan. You may think, at first, that little harm can come of it. You would be wrong. An initial false impression about Islam, implanted in someone at an impressionable age, may be stuck and hard to eradicate later on. The first task of all Infidels is to sufficiently study the matter so that no matter what is presented to them, they cannot be fooled. The second task is to help inform as many other people as possible, no matter how long it takes, no matter how tiresomely pedagogic one's tone may become, no matter how repetitious -- repetition even of phrases, until your audience has thoroughly assimilated those turns of phrase and made them their own, even possibly not recognizing where they came from. This is a duty of individuals, including many who come to this website, because the government has abdicated its responsibility. And if we are to believe a recent story about the 1,500 members of MESA (the academic association of those who teach in Middle Eastern Studies departments), only 50 of those 1,500 appear to take the current administration's dim view of the Jihad -- or 3%. That means that the teaching of Middle Eastern matters, you can be sure, will carefully avoid Qur'an (except the Sells version, or some equally sanitized, or explained-away-in-advance version), hadith, and sira.

Those 50 no doubt include Cook, Crone, Lewis, and a few others who are the only members of MESA whose scholarship is other than tendentious trash, but it is still a scandalous situation.

It used to be said to students going to Soviet Russia to study Russian that they had "chosen the worst place in the world to study" -- for they would be subject to propaganda that would drown out the study of literature and language. The worst place now to try to learn about Islam and Jihad-conquest and the treatment of non-Muslims, from Spain to Indonesia, under Muslim rule, is now within university departments of Middle Eastern studies. There are still scholars in Leiden, in Germany, even in Paris and in England. In this country, given the general laxity about doctorates and the weigh-by-the-pound attitude toward publications, the situation is much worse. One cannot imagine Rashid Khalidi, Fawaz Gergez, Khaled Abou el Fadl and the rest getting academic posts at any institution of serious scholarship (that excludes, of course, St. Antony's in its Middle Eastern wing at Oxford); in this country, they have no problem whatsoever.

Were another Joseph Schacht, David Margoliouth, Arthur Jeffery, Dufourcq, Bousquet, Snouck Hurgronje to come along, where exactly in this country would they find positions, much less be allowed to receive tenure? Hard to imagine.

Go to DawaNet. Spend some time there. No one else is doing this work for us. We must do it ourselves.

The most disturbing thing about that site is the "history section". The Muslim version of history needs to be refuted before we start to believe it ourselves.

Some excerpts from Islam and America:

1178 A Chinese document known as the Sung Document records the voyage of Muslim sailors to a land known as Mu-Lan-pi (America).

1312 Mandinga, African Muslims, from Mali and other parts of West Africa arrive in the Gulf of Mexico for exploration of America's interior using the Mississippi River as their access rout.

1527 A Muslim from Morocco by the name of Estevanico of Azamor lands in Florida with the expedition of Panfilo de Narveaz and remains in America to become the first of three Americans to cross the continent in 1539.

1790 Moors from Spain are reported to be living in South Carolina and Florida

1865 During the American Civil War, the "scorched earth" policy of the North destroyed churches, farms schools, libraries, colleges and a great deal of other property. On the morning of April 4, when the Federal troops reached the campus of the University of Alabama with orders to destroy the university, "Andre’ Deloffre", a modern language professor and custodian of the "Rotunda library" at the university, appealed to the commanding officer, to spare one of the finest libraries in the south. The officer, being sympathetic, sent a courier to General Croxton at his headquarters in "Tuscaloosa" asking permission to save the library, but the general's reply was negative, so the officer reportedly said "I will save one volume as a memento of this occasion" and the volume selected was a rare copy of the Qur'an"

1889 A noted scholar and social activist by the name of Edward W. Blyden travels throughout the Eastern and Southern parts of the United States lecturing about Islam and in one of his speeches before the Colonization Society of Chicago he told his audience that the reasons Africans choose Islam over Christianity is that, "the Qur'an protected the black man from self-depreciation in the presence of Arabs or Europeans."

------
The page also said that the first mosque in America was an Albanian mosque established in 1915 in Biddeford, Maine. Of course, they did not actually NAME the mosque so I couldn't actually locate it or verify the date it was established.

The site is also targetting African Americans for da'wa. But it seems that Muslims have run into trouble from black nationalists because they also see Islam as a slave religion of the Arabs. Of course, the site does not go into detail about the Arab slave trade in Africa and Islam nor how Islam ravaged North Africa and Western Africa. I think the estimates it gave of the Muslim population of Africa during the 1500s are greatly exaggerated. The overwhelming majority of Western Africans would have been animist and even the ones with Arab names would have probably been more animist than Islamic. This whole nonsense of the African slaves in America organizing themselves into prayer rooms is just that, nonsense.

This is probably the most serious part of the da'wa, claiming all of history for Islam. Muhammad was light years ahead of Goebbels and Stalin.

Fine post Hugh

Hugh excellent post. Yes, we must be ever vigilant of the Da'wa, especially in the security forces. I have of late noticed a lot of Muslim sensitivity propaganda in the disguise of protection of civil rights in the work place.

I try to combat it by reaching out to those that would be receptive to the message of counter-Da'wa. Your post will be of much help.

I still run my one man campaign to put up posters and leave behind leaflets.

I have had a positive response from the few gays I have approached.

Counter-Da'wa should focus on the many weak spots of Islam and gay rights and women's rights is an important one.

While putting up posters in the East Village, the other night, I had a positive encounter and conversations, these people. whom I contacted later agreed to also distribute flyers and to visit Jihadwatch.

Again, I say to all the visitors of this site, do what you can in your neck of the woods, every little bit helps.

I've taken a quick look at DawaNet. Hugh's right -- we must be aware of this and recognize it when we encounter it.

Look at the section on women: only two areas are addressed – the male speaking about women, and the hijab. This confirms for me that the Muslimah’s role is defined by the Muslim male, and that her dress plays a pivotal part in this defined role (to which she, for the most part, acquiesces), and you can be sure it’s not a liberating element.

The first word in the section on women is "Brothers" -- this speaks volumes. Here men are coached in what to say and what not to say, lest the listener get the "wrong" impression of the true nature of Islam. Why the need for coaching? If women are so wonderfully honoured, protected and esteemed in Islam, why the need to remind the Muslim male to be careful with his wording? Why are women not instructed here on how to speak for themselves (truly for themselves, not spouting a male-devised, male-interpreted, male-biased version of gender equality, a la Islam)?

The next area in the section on women concerns the pervasive, ubiquitous, obnoxious issue of the hijab. How could it not? To the world this is how Muslim women are defined. This is their choice. If it were not their choice, we would not see it interminably defended and debated. Muslim women would have moved on to other issues of more concrete importance than a length of fabric. Why do we not see in this section Muslim women being instructed to tell the world about their creativity, academic prowess, activism, original thinking? Where is the dawa to the world about the Muslimah's writing, scientific research, exploration, artistic creations, sports accomplishments, and journalistic initiatives? I'm waiting.

And in another section there's an essay "How to Make America an Islamic Nation" -- haven't read it yet, but I don't expect it to be a soothing bedtime read.

I've been unwittingly on the receiving end of dawa myself when I lived in Turkey. How I wish I had known then what I know now.

I found this sentence under the heading of "Fright Strategies":

Remember Nobody ever died from stage fright or speaking in public.

LOL! Maybe not in a democratic country! Dawa.net is really funny to read if you know the muslim game. I imagine a lot of people who have no knowledge of islam are sucked in through their tactics. We ("freedom fighters" against islamic enslavement) need a dedicated site or page constructed by social engineers to help us spread the truth about islam. This site and a few others are treasure troves of information, but it's desparate. We need it centralized and readily accessible like the muzzies have their site.

I would go even further than that. It is madness. However, I truly hope that such ridiculous rewritting of history can backfire in the face of the ignorant idiots. The problem is our populations are so ignorant and so hungry for "non-white" history that they might even believe it. Sadly, I did not see a "link" between ancient Egyptian pyramids and the Mayan/Aztec ones which, of course, would also have had to have been Arab/African/Islam centered. I had crossed my fingers to see such fantasy written. Such a message, they might have hoped, could have "broad" appeal to Hispanics of indigenous origin and African Americans and creating a notion of "pan-Islam" in our then "unknown" hemisphere.

A jingle for Da'wa online:

Thinking's such a strain,
Come slip our drain
And we will explain
How to join the Main
Faith of those who gain
Everything, plus Spain
Come sing our refrain:

No brain; no pain. (repeat 5x a day forever)

In essence, they sell the cult like a drug that combines the numbing effects of novocaine (for those in spiritual anguish) with the 'roid rage-like energy of PCP (for the ones who want to smash things).

We all need to print this info out and spread it to schools, parents and kids in our neighborhoods.

Someone from JW or DW should start a web site with a name as close as possible to dawanet.com. (such as the one started by Muslims "faithfreedom.com") and counter all the propaganda on dawanet.com.

The problem with Hugh's warnings about DawaNet is that in this piece (and elsewhere, even everywhere else), he ignores the necessity for a prior "net" -- to catch the millions of Western fish who would laugh at, and dismiss Hugh's concerns as "Islamophobic".

"David, You're going to hell," said my roommate and best friend in college as he began his conversion efforts. No obtuse psychology to his 'shy friend,' no gentle cup of coffee or outdoor barbecue, just waking up my Jewish, hungover but and telling me where I'm going to go. Critique his approach(as I did), but, note, its genuine, truthful approach . . . when the left behind series authors tell the non-Christian what will happen at the end of times, he's genuine in his concern about his soul. There is no thought to a 'Dawa.com-like' cult-like mind thought.

Jews haven't been in the conversion game(it became too dangerous after the destruction of The Temple in 70 a.d. ot so. In fact in the bible note patrilinial descent was accepted(even the norm) . . . to be replaced with matrilinial descent . . . the destruction of The Temple was so psychologically devestating(and devestating in other ways) because the Jewish people went from being a people in a land to a people spread over the world(minorities in hostile lands).

I can't remember the last Hindu banging on my door or inviting me to a veggie barbecue.

What you have on this Dawa website is a whitewashing like the Manson family. Show them love and respect first, lure them in, then slowly unfold the truth . . . like a toad wallowing in heated water.

LOL, I'd like to see one of the adherants of dawa bang on Hugh's or Robert Spencer's door! starting to kvell about Islam . . . perhaps they'd leave with Jihad Watch or Onward Muslim Soldiers in hand!

Hugh,

Great, great point about our individual duty to spread the truth. We all realize our MSM is cowardly and ultra-PC. Ditto with academia.

The only element of our society beginning to show backbone in the discussion is the military. Read an article in the last Army Magazine entitled: "Islam, Islamism, and Terrorism". Great piece by a former Colonel Middle Eastern Foreign Area Officer. He spent most of his career overseas, and has spent the last 15 years as a retired expert in the field. His background gives him massive credibility. He makes the point about the Hadiths and Koran and the connection to terrorism. Brave, bold article (though for obvious reasons he doesn't go as far as we do). Read it. It will give massive encouragement.

I mention this because I know the military is now able to discuss this issue. It came from grass roots efforts. Junior military officers have been breaking taboo and personally discussing the truth about Islam for a few years now. It percolated to the upper field grade ranks some time ago. Now it is hitting the General Officer corps. This all happened from individuals talking to family and friends and higher ranking officers (despite the initial PC brainwashing of the military/political establishment. They issued the ridiculous: "Idiots guide to Islam" to deploying officers a while back.). In the military, the truth has come through. Articles are now being written in national magazines from the effort.

All of us on this site must take heart. Personally, I have convinced the 20-40 people in my circle of direct influence and have written articles in state newpapers (hitting tens of thousands). I am only one of us. I have probably firmly convinced over 200 people about the truth of Islam.

If all 500,000 people on this site influence even 20 other people, that's 10 million! If those 10 million influence 20 more (each) that's 200 million. It doesn't matter what's being said in the New Duranty Times. People will begin to ignore those rags until the rags catch up to the people.

Just as the minutemen were the necessary force in bringing Washington DC to the southern border issue, WE will be the reason the establishment is forced to face the truth about Islam. Remember, G. Bush first called the minutemen "vigilantes". Then after Fox Nexs and 2 Democratic Gov's calling states of emergency he finally came to the border.

DON'T GIVE UP. WE ARE ALL MAKING A DIFFERENCE. BE BOLD AND BRAVE, WE HAVE THE GREATEST WEAPON: TRUTH!!!!!!! WE WILL WIN THIS.

Even the Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormon door-to-door missionaries are forthright about the fact that they're seeking converts.

There are instances on dawa.net of a person being referred to as a "target." I have the utmost contempt for the person with an agenda who suddenly launches a campaign to be someone's new best friend. It's not about the person. They're just a pawn in the game, and it's the worst kind of emotional abuse and deception-- a Machiavellian, utilitarian approach to interpersonal relationships. Then again, just about every relationship in Islam seems to boil down to the use of people: to do dawa, to contribute money, to bear children, etc.

But it's not a surprise, knowing what we do about Islam, that the overarching rule is that the ends justify the means.

Pepper,

I've begun to believe the trick is to decouple multiculturalism and political correctness from other Left-wing sacred cows, since a comprehensive repudiation of Liberalism by the mainstream is not only NOT in the cards, but isn't critical to our success. So environmentalism, a generous social safety net (and the high taxes necessary to pay for it) and other causes near and dear to the Liberal/Left need not be sacrificed in order to embrace civilizational self-defense.

Other issues close to the Liberal/Left such as gender equality and gay/lesbian advocacy synthesize perfectly with anti-Islamic efforts.

I understand and concur with the scepticism you might feel about the hard Left. But the soft Left is malleable, at least to a degree. My siblings for example are almost all anti-Bush Liberals, but not a one has any illusions about Islam.

What we need to do is to convince Liberals that all the causes mentioned above that are so near and dear to them are essentially products of the Western world (which is the case) and are threatened by multiculturalism. We have so many tools at our disposal. The Canadian fliratation with polygamy is just one examplr. By using the language of feminism to alert women that their future is in jeopardy, we can bring many into our camp who would otherwise remain impervious or downright hostile.

We can organize, it can be done. We will do it. On the blue scarf society website (discussed on another thread) we can also have pdf files for pamplets and posters. We have a beautiful pamplet (complete with Koran verses in Arabic) called "A Political Koran" donated by an anonomous toiler in the backroom. All you will need to do is make sure there's enough paper and ink in your printer.

I for one can say that in my 20+ years of dealing with the mohommedans on a street level, I have never been preached to.
Lied to yes, robbed yes, shaken down yes, but not preached to.

In the 80's as a "chicken little" who recognized the cult for what it is, I would like to let you know that I have been waging my own personal "jihad" and most, not ALL mohommedans I deal with get punished.

Cornelius,

"I've begun to believe the trick is to decouple multiculturalism and political correctness from other Left-wing sacred cows, since a comprehensive repudiation of Liberalism by the mainstream is not only NOT in the cards, but isn't critical to our success."

The problem with this characterization of the situation is that multiculturalism and political correctness are no longer relatively minor, detachable parts of "Liberalism" -- they are now central to the structure of "Liberalism". Or, another way to put it: Liberalism, as a general sociopolitical culture that has a beneficial & worthwhile history, has been taken over by Leftism.

"So environmentalism, a generous social safety net (and the high taxes necessary to pay for it) and other causes near and dear to the Liberal/Left need not be sacrificed in order to embrace civilizational self-defense."

The problem here is that the PC attitudes which defend Islam and attack as "Islamophobic" all condemnations of Islam -- these PC attitudes are no longer detachable from the worldview that wants to save the Environment from greedy white anglo-saxon globalist CEOs, and the worldview that wants to save Poor People from greedy white anglo-saxon CEOs.

"Other issues close to the Liberal/Left such as gender equality and gay/lesbian advocacy synthesize perfectly with anti-Islamic efforts."

Theoretically and rationally they do; but only a small minority of Leftists seem capable of the simple epiphany that, hey: Islam hates homosexuality! The majority of Leftists are capable of sustaining an irrational contradiction in their heads indefinitely:

a) ridicule and demonize Christians for being "homophobes"

b) protect and defend homophobic and gay-hating Muslims from those horrible "Islamophobes".

"I understand and concur with the scepticism you might feel about the hard Left. But the soft Left is malleable, at least to a degree. My siblings for example are almost all anti-Bush Liberals, but not a one has any illusions about Islam."

I would feel more at ease about your siblings if you asked them a series of non-leading questions about Islam to gauge their knowledge of, and wariness of, Islam, then reported their answers back to me. I suspect that their answers to key questions would reveal their fundamental inability to condemn Islam itself, linked to their insistence that the problem is only a "small minority of extremists who are perverting a religion of peace", and "who are being driven to desperation by the evil geopolitico-economic policies of Bush and other evil white anglo-saxon globalist CEOs," etc. ad nauseam.

"What we need to do is to convince Liberals that all the causes mentioned above that are so near and dear to them are essentially products of the Western world"

That's a monumental task, since they breathe a cultural atmosphere that has been polluted for at least the past 50 years by virulent anti-Western hatred about Western history, institutions and cultural values. Try, for example, telling one of your soft Left siblings that Western Colonialism was good for Africa and that most of the problems of Africa have to do with

1) the legacy of Islamic Imperialism,
2) the intrusion of Communism,
3) regressive aspects of African cultures, and
4) the dismantling of the Western Colonial structures in Africa.

They will be unable to process that and will reject it out of hand.

Regarding dawanet,
this little piece of wistful dreaming
sums up all their deceitful scheming

"The bottom line

We should use every opportunity to sensitize non-Muslim peers and school staff to Islam and to establish an environment in which everywhere a non-Muslim turns, he notices Islam portrayed in a positive way, is influenced by it and eventually accepts Islam with Allah's guidance, Insha Allah (if God wills)."

Did you ever see the movie "Pay it Forward", starring Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and Haley Joel Osment? Kevin Spacey plays a teacher who challenges his young students to come up with an idea for changing the world as part of a school project. Trevor, the kid played by Osment, takes the idea very seriously and comes up with the idea to help 3 people, and in lieu of accepting a favor in return, asks them instead to "pay it forward" to 3 other people. He calculates mathematically how this scheme could change the world for the better.

(I liked the movie but then I'm on good terms with my schmalzy side :-))

Anyway, I see that the author of the novel, on which the movie was based, has a website and a foundation, no less, called "The Pay it Forward Foundation":

http://www.payitforwardfoundation.org/home.html

"Students have the opportunity to identify what they consider to be the challenges of their communities. They tackle such problems as homelessness, pollution, youth violence, literacy issues, the loneliness experienced by long-term hospital and nursing home patients, and the alienation of today's at-risk youth from the community. The PIF Foundation provides seed money for such worthwhile projects."

Certainly the jihad could be identified as a "challenge" to our communities. Counter-Dawa/Anti-jihad projects sound like the ideal problem for these students to tackle, using young Trevor's Pay it Forward plan for world change. What are the chances this foundation would provide seed money for such an idealistic effort?

Right. Probably pretty slim. BUT - little Trevor had a pretty good idea going there. Maybe each of us (and that includes the lurking readers) should take it upon ourselves to convince just 3 people of the dangers of islam (really convince them) and ask them each to seriously convince 3 others. Hey - it just might work, ya know? And if you need some inspiration, rent the movie. :-)

Cornelius:

I posted this on GoV sometime back. An edited version below.

The demeaning of the most vibrant and successful culture in history by the PC and Ultra-liberal brigade has thrown our whole system into confusion. Note the confusion and division in Britain over the Belmarsh detainees — Magna Carta, Bill of Rights, all have been called into question. These were issues that had been settled a long time ago. It is the presence of Islam and its social requirements that has thrown us right back to the Middle Ages. The wearing of hijabs in the police force is a just a manifestation of the total confusion within the minds policy makers. They are confused, because they are in the main ignorant of islam or even what constitutes the West. Meanwhile, the Islamists care nought for our legal, judicial or constitutional systems, except as rope to hang us with.

Subversion of society by the elite media, is what has been going on for the last 30 years - subversion of a free society using multicultarism as a tool. What is the key to undermine this attack? The same - Subversion has to be the key to put a spanner in the works of Political Correctness and Ultra-liberalism.

An example - use Political Correctness and Ultra-liberalism as tools, to stymie the PC agenda. The burqa is an example - it is a visible affront to all that has been achieved for the emancipation of women in the last century. One can argue for its complete ban on the ground that it is an affront to all civilised values, as in fact it celebrates female slavery. Slavery in whatever form can never be accepted, period. One can get as emotional in this righteous cause as is necessary, as one is doing it for the good of all muslim women. As servitude of women is an islamic tenet, we undermine the whole, while all the time hidden comfortably within Political Correctness, Ultra-liberalism, a righteous cause and a deep concern for the oppressed muslim woman.

That is use Political Correctness and Ultra-liberalism as tools for subversion in our cause. It also becomes difficult for the media elite to oppose it.

Although I didn't see this golden nugget of lost history of dawa.net, I have read of the Muslim claim to Abraham Lincoln, thru his mother's family, as part of the "Mulugeons," a sort of lost tribe of Muslims who lived in southeastern USA. The Muslims really do make it up as they go along. And, how long is it before they demand that their version of "history" is included in elementary and secondary curriculums?

Interesting DP111...who knows, you may be on to something.

On the surface, it seems bizarre that Liberalism would be indulgent of Islam, but a closer examination reveals a degree of symmetry between the two, just as Communism and Fascism were symmetrical phenomenon disguised as diametrical opposites.

I'm so frustrated with the current state of affairs we have, where Hugh and others offer all sorts of solutions that may be absolutely valid from a rational standpoint, but are completely lacking in feasibility because of the prevailing culture.

The quote from DawaNet quoted by someone above:

"We should use every opportunity to sensitize non-Muslim peers and school staff to Islam and to establish an environment in which everywhere a non-Muslim turns, he notices Islam portrayed in a positive way, is influenced by it and eventually accepts Islam"

There are millions of Americans and Europeans who are already "sensitized" to Islam and who, wherever they turn, they see Islam portrayed in a "positive way"; and whenever they see the mountain of data we here at Jihad Watch see, our fellow Americans and Europeans see only an "extremist minority" who have "hijacked a religion of peace".

I.e., millions of ordinary Americans and Europeans have already done the work of DawaNet, on themselves. How? Ask a sociologist; ask an anthropologist. How do cultures and worldviews catch on? Why is the West now self-hating and Islam-"sensitized" when, over 50 years ago, it was not?

One of the craziest things I have ever read. From the "How to make America an Islamic nation" article:

"I'm reminded of the story of one of the sahaba who came upon another dressed in nice clothes. The first man exclaimed that it was strange for this man to wear nice clothes. The second replied that he was only following the customary fashion so as not to appear strange. He then lifted up his nice shirt to reveal a patched and worn shirt underneath. He maintained his Islamic principles and looked presentable according to the standards of society at the same time."

hello123, great post, I have had a similar experience at the DHS with officers and supervisors. I can tell you that many many now visit Jihadwatch and are aware of the problems with Islam. I have patiently explained what a threat to the world is Islam and I have won many converts to anti-da'wa and ant-jihad.

I do this with great care, as I know that many of my superiors believe in the Islam hijacked by a small minority crap and under the current climate I might be punished if to vocal. In spite of this, I feel that I must do my part both at work and where I live.

hello123, a grass roots revolution is building all over the world and it will prepare the West for whatever might come.

Unity, truth, solidarity by all the cultures of the world will reverse this Islamic tide, we must redouble our efforts everyday.

My wife, the other night asked me, if I was a bit obsessed about this subject and I responded that if I lived in the 30's I would have been as equally obsessed about the Nazis, Having lost her Polish Catholic uncle to the Nazi concentration camps, she said she understood.

Someone mentioned Mormonism earlier...

I spent about 10 years of my childhood living in UT as a non-Mormon "gentile". I think back and find the similarities between Mormonism and Islam exceedingly striking...
Joseph Smith has a series of revelations from God and Jesus and by the angel "Moroni" telling him about some gold plates created by ancient Native Americans that were buried in a nearby hill in Vermont. The plates were supposed to contain the writings of ancient prophets.
And voila, polygamy is allowed, women become no more than broodmares who can't enter heaven on their own merits - they need their husband's permission to enter heaven. Actually no unmarried woman can enter heaven, period, so they have some strange ceremony for old spinsters who are about to die, where they marry them to dead guys (have the marriage ceremony out in the cemetery and everything!) so that thier new husband can open the pearly gates for her when she dies. Talk about weird! That and some strange customs involving the special underwear they wear when married in the Mormon Tabernacle in SLC and how they can't ever take that underwear off for the rest of their lives....Really weird! Went on a school tour of the Tabernacle, very interesting though.
Also Mormons shouldn't make friends with non-Mormons as they are inferior.
No alcohol is allowed...etc. very similar to islam - too many similarities for it to be mere coinkydink.
Methinks old Joseph learned of what a good hoax Mohammed had pulled and decided to do the same!

The one big difference is that Mormonism doesn't have the concept of jihad, it is pretty peaceful and they don't believe in death for apostates.
So it is possible to live next to them as a non-Mormon and not have your throat slit. Although the neighbors did burn down my dad's warehouse...

An example of the convoluted nebula of Western cultural self-hatred:

Manifesto of the
BLACK THORN LEAGUE
by Hakim Bey [born Peter Lamborn Wilson in New York in 1945, a Western Gnostic quasi-Sufi lunatic]

1. According to orally-transmitted teachings of Noble Drew Ali, founder & Prophet of the Moorish Science Temple of America: -- Ireland was once part of the Moorish Empire; that is, the celts were Moslems, & there were black moors from N. Africa also present in Ireland. But the moors were expelled by militant Christianity -- this event is disguised in the legend of St. Patrick's expelling the snakes - for which reason the MST celebrates St. Patrick's Day, in a mood of irony perhaps, in expectation of an eventual Return.

2. In Noble Drew Ali's system, celts are considered an "Asiatic race", & thus potential converts to Moorish Science. We consider NDA's theories to be racial but not racist, because (again according to oral tradition) they were based (at least in part) on spiritual affinity. "Europeans" who wished to Join the MST (including some of the later founders of the Moorish Orthodox Church) were declared to be really celts or "Persians" -- (which may have something to do with the oft-remarked similarity of Eiran and Iran).

3. NDA's hidden history of Ireland may be taken as an esoteric metaphor -but it is supported in some surprising ways by archaeology & even "official" history. In the first place, the celts are an Asiatic race, or at least the most recent arrivals in the west from the mysterious "Hyperborean" heartland of the Aryans -- last of those nomadic migrations which settled India, Persia & Greece.

4. Second: What is one to make of those early Celtic crosses inscribed with the bismillah ("In the Name of God", opening words of the Koran) in kufic Arabic, found in Ireland? The Celtic Church, before its destruction by the Roman hierarchy, maintained a close connection with the desert hermit-monks of Egypt. Is it possible this connection persisted past the 7th/8th centuries, & that the role of the monks was taken up by Moslems? by Sufis? in contact with a still-surviving underground Celtic Church, now become completely heretical, & willing to syncretize Islamic esotericism with its own Nature-oriented & poetic Faith?

5. Such a syncresis was certainly performed centuries later by the Templars & the Assassins (Nizari Ismailis). When the Temple was suppressed by Rome & its leaders burned at the stake, Ireland provided refuge for many incognito Templars. According to The Temple & The Lodge, these Templars later reorganized as a rogue Irish branch of Freemasonry, which (in the early 18th century) would resist amalgamation with the London Grand Lodge. The Islamic connection with masonry is quite clear, both in the Templar & the Rosicrucian traditions, but Irish masonry may have inherited an even earlier Islamic link -- memorialized in those enigmatic crosses!

6. It's interesting to note that Noble Drew Ali's Masonic initiations may not have been limited to Prince Hall or black Shriner transmissions, but may also have included some hidden lines connected to Irish masonry, & dating back to Revolutionary days in American history. It is known that many common soldiers in the British Colonial Army were masons affiliated with the Irish rather than the London Grand Lodge. This "class" difference -was reflected in the American Revolutionary Army, whose officers were "official" masons but whose private ranks tended to be "Irish".

7. Historians sometimes forget that in the 18th century, in America, the Irish were generally considered "no better than Negroes". In 1741 on St. Patrick's Day in New York a riot broke out, involving a conspiracy which included Irish, African, & Native American men & women -- naturally "of the meanest sort." Some Irish conspirators were overheard to swear they'd kill as many "white people" as possible. The uprising failed & the plotters were executed. As the bodies of two hanged in the open air decayed in an Iron gibbet, "observers noticed a gruesome, yet instructive, transformation. The corpse of an Irishman turned black & his hair curly while the corpse of Caesar the African, bleached white. It was accounted a 'wondrous phenomenon'" (Linebaugh & Rediker, "The Many-Headed Hydra").

8. Clearly the Celt & African were linked not only in the gaze of the oppressor class, but also in their own world-view -- as comrades, as somehow the same -- in a solidarity which extended to Indians & to other "Europeans" who fell beneath the level of the "respectable poor" into the category of slaves & outcasts. Racist feelings did not divide the 18th century poor & marginalized -- as would become the case under later Capitalism. Rather the marginalized of all races constituted an underclass & moreover, an underclass with some awareness of itself, hence with a certain power (the power of the "strong victim").

It's amazing to contemplate the numbers of Westerners that still believe that Islam is not even a problem and that those that point out the dangers are labled racists, bigots, xenophobes, or Islamophobes, an unfortunate stigma for those that must tell the truth or see their culture self-destruct.

Posted by: epg [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 15, 2006 11:28 AM

epg, that's true. Expose Islam on any website other than JW/DW or Little Green Footballs, and you'll get sackloads of insults from those who don't want to learn the deadly truth about Islam. It seems that however many atrocities take place, the retort is "It's only a tiny minority", or "Its a religion of peace", or "Its no worse than any other religion". God knows what their own ancestors who were alive 300 years ago or thereabouts would think if they could come back to life and spend a day or two in 2006 to listen to this sort of fatalistic nonsense. And my biggest nightmare is just thinking about the scale of atrocity that will have to take place just to wake up these complacent apologists, because they refuse to smell the coffee now.

epg: "those that point out the dangers are labled racists, bigots, xenophobes, or Islamophobes,"

You could always try this with your liberal friends:

"I thought you considered yourself a liberal?

You have always claimed to care about women's rights but now I see that you would be just as happy to see women's faces forever hidden from the sun under black cloth, see women deprived of their basic legal rights, see women made the complete property of men.

You have always claimed to care about homosexual rights but now I see that you would be just fine if homosexuals were actually murdered.

You have always claimed to stand in solidarity with those who fought for civil rights for American blacks but now I see that you couldn't care less about civil rights, let alone slavery.

You have always claimed to value freedom of speech but now I see that you don't value it at all and that you would be indifferent to your neighbor getting hauled off to prison for what he says and what he thinks.

In short, you have always claimed to be a liberal but now I realize that you are no liberal at all. What you are is a coward and a hypocrite and a liar. Its funny when you think you know someone so well and then it turns out you really didn't know them at all."

Studying www.dawanet.com can be rewarding. Take, for example, the advice given to Muslim men: "let the sisters [i.e. Muslimas] talk." Now why was this felt necessary? Obviously, because if left alone, if not given such advice, male Muslims would not permit Muslim women to talk. They are, however, now all engaged in the business of convincing Infidels that there is no problem about the mistreatment of women in Islam. And therefore, Muslim men must be carefully instructed in how to behave. Potemkin lives, Potemkin attitudes, Potemkin everything.

One prefers the honesty of the True Believer who sees no need to put up a false front to deflect criticism or growing suspicion by Infidels, to this study in deception. But no Infidel should be surprised that Muslims are perfectly willing to mis-represent the faith, its tenets, and the attitudes it engendres. They know how Infidels would regard such things -- and they are ready to hide aspects of the faith, or at least to confuse Infidels about them, while the slow process of settling in, so as not to be dislodged, from the Lands of the Infidels, can continue apace.

Unfortunately for them, the texts -- Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira -- are all widely available, so it is not a question merely of shutting down websites run by those sufficiently alarmed by Islam to do so. No, it is the canonical texts of Islam, and the history of Muslim conquest, that cannot be hidden. It is an impossible task that Muslims have set for themselves. And since even the smoothest, tariq-ramadanesque customers will constantly have their mountebank's pitch interrupted by the sound of Muslim suicide and other bombers, it will not be possible to prevent Infidels from getting the idea, the right idea, about Islam -- just as, despite no help from their governments and media, they have been doing so, some more successfully than others, ever since 9/11/2001, and the more the ranks of educated-about-Islam Infidels swell, the more difficult it becomes to keep fooling the remainder.

You can't keep Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira under wraps for ever. They are ready for their close-up. And they are going to get it.

El Cid/Caroline,

Thanks. The only way we will win the information war is by individual to individual communication. We all have the facts/truth, and can make coherent arguments for our position. The key is to engage our friends and family in discussion. Every time we get the chance, we can hammer home the important points.

We are making progress. In many cases, all it takes is for one of us to be the "fall guy" and get the discussion started. Initially, people may seem shocked that we are breaking PC taboos. However, as soon as we break through and start a rational, logical discussion, people come around. It gets others to think and discuss what they know to be true (yet have dared not say).

THE KEY IS FOR ALL OF US TO MAKE THE EFFORT. We realize the MSM will not say a word until enough grass roots discussions and debate force the issue. This is what happened with the southern border/minuteman issue. The MSM will be forced to face the 109 "war" verses in the Koran, ditto with the Hadiths, Mohammed's example, abrogation, true Sharia Law issues (virtually every one of the Sharia Law issues are about "L"iberal causes: women, minorities, homosexuals, etc.).

WE MUST ALL INFLUENCE THOSE AROUND US AND KNOW THAT AS A GROUP WE CAN MAKE THE DECISIVE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, if all 500,000 on this sight influence 20 others (reasonable goal), that's 10 million. One more iteration makes 200 million. Eventually, it will not be taboo to discuss the truth.

One last point: We cannot come across like fanatics. Our message should be that many/most Muslims are currently peaceful. However, that is because they are not following the doctrine. Therefore, they are potential radicals if they get too serious about study of the Koran. We don't want to kill all Muslims, but force the truth in the open. Force the discussion of the dark side of Islam to protect the world.

Random Thoughts. We will win this thing. The Truth always prevails in the end. A few of us may die, but the sacrifice is worth it for our children.

The mind-boggling thing is - Where are the tinfoil hats? Where are all those western tinfoil hat wearers who are so capable of spinning the most outlandish conspiracy theories? Everything from the Jews all avoided the twin towers on 9/11 to there was no actual plane crash into the Pentagon to the tsunami was intentionally caused by US/Israeli deep-sea nuclear testing detonations? What is wrong with all the western people who are so willing to suspend all evidence to the contrary in order to imagine all sorts of truly bizarre and impossible goings-on - while all the while dismissing as paranoid something that IS actually going on - something that the drumbeat of DAILY news has been positively confirming for years now - something that is nefarious and evil and subtle beyond the tinfoil hat wearers wildest imaginations? Yet they can't see it! They dismiss something quite nefarious yet out-in-the-open while looking for something MORE hidden yet preposterous. What accounts for this massive, almost schizophrenic pathology (in the sense that schizophrenics are truly convinced of the reality of hidden TV messages and radio-transmitter signals and so on while incapable of making sense of actual reality)?

I have to assume that once all the dust has cleared from WWIII, some psychologist or psychiatrist or psychoanalyst will seriously take this question on. Though it's not clear how many of us will be around in the end to read about it.

hello123, I agree with every word of your post, I find that dispelling ignorance of the Koran and sharia law is the first step. It is so easy to just inform people about the truth, I have notices that as the violent Jihad advances people are thirstier for answers and the average person just drinks up any bit of fact that you give them.

I also agree that we should not try to demonize all Muslims, though most are decent people it is true that if they truly discover the war verses of their religion then jihad becomes their obligation.

Of course, thanks to the work of the anti-jihadi vanguard, we have the information and truth about Islam. Thanks to the work of Robert and Hugh, this website is an archive of facts from which we can enlighten the world about Islam.

hello123, I'm a Hispanic and I support the work of the minutemen, they have done the country a great service.

"Where are all those western tinfoil hat wearers who are so capable of spinning the most outlandish conspiracy theories?"

That question is relatively easy to answer: The paranoid conspiracy theories of the tinfoil mad hatters are anti-Western, pathologically suspicious of Western authority structures as evil cabals seeking to control the common man for nefarious purposes. Tinfoilism is part of the cultural self-hatred of the Western Leftist nebula; as such, for them, Islam represents, at best (from our point of view), a corrupt barbaric force being used by our evil Western cabalists (CIA, oil companies, etc.); at worst (again from our point of view), for them, Islam represents, with its purported arcane and amorphous connections to the Gnostic heretical subcultures that have always struggled against the evil Western authority structures, whether they be Catholic, Jewish, or globalist Masonic Capitalists (or a combination of all three), a glowing alternative structure to the evil West.

Study the Benes Decree -- or rather, the Benes Decrees of 1946. Ask yourself if Benes, Masaryk and the Czechs were wrong to behave as they did. No Czech thinks so. The E.U. apparently did not think so a year or two ago when some German organizations tried to make it an issue at the time of Czechoslovakia's application for admission.

Consider this remark:

The presence of large numbers of Muslims anywhere in the Infidel lands (Bilad al-kufr) has led to a situation of greater daily unpleasantness, greater expense, and greater physical insecurity, than would be the case without such a presence.

Is that statement incorrect? Is there anyone among the indigenous non-Muslims in Europe who could disagree with that remark?

Insuring the physical security of its citizens is the first task of government. Surely the Benes Decrees, measures thought necessary by Czech leaders and supported by the Czech people, were neither irrational nor unthinkable in 1946. Why then should they not even be discussed today?

The removal from one's midst, in order to ensure the physical safety and wellbeing of one's own population, both now and in the future, by transference to another country, of a discreet population, which has been undertaken, in recent years, in many countries, throughout history, and has certainly happened in the past century. Large-scale expulsions have been undertaken, sometimes reasonably, sometimes not. But nowhere has this practice been undertaken so frequently as in the Arab Muslim countries. After the Gulf War, Kuwait expelled 400,000 "Palestinians" moved out after 1991. Saudi Arabia, overnight, exspelled one million Yemenis who were a worrisome presence. Libya expelled tens of thousands of Egyptians and "Palestinians." The countries of the Maghreb have on a much smaller scale, expelled the nationals of each.

Yet, in Holland, where in 1970 there were 15,000 Muslims and today there are one million, whose presence has greatly degraded life for the indigneous Dutch, and whose future is now imperilled unless a new policy is intorudced to deal with the almost completely immiscible population -- vainly bribed by all means to becoming "integrated" when the tenets of Islam not only insist that Muslims must not "take Christians and Jews as friends" but in all other ways make clear that Islam is "to dominate and not to be dominated" and that the Infidels are not to be tolerated except as dhimmis. This is not a fabrication, not something concocted by some Anti-Islamic League. It is what the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira -- read without any blinders of the armstrong or esposito variety -- tell Muslims, in perfectly plain fashion. More and more of the cleverer sort of Muslim "reformers," aware that this truth cannot continue to be hidden, have taken to concocting all sorts of implausible "solutions" because they sense that if the promise of such "reform" is not held out, Infidels will come to the kind of conclusions that are suggested, often, at this website -- the conclusion that, since Islam divides the world uncompromisingly between Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb, between the Believer and the Infidel, then it only makes sense, if Infidels are going to be subject to the "war" of Jihad, conducted through all the instruments (combat, econmomic warfare, propaganda, Da'wa, demography) available, that all of those instruments needed to be countered.

The example of the Benes Decree (or Decrees) shows that just a few decades ago the most tolerant and decent statesmen in Europe, their countries victims of the Nazis, could think things that today we are bullied into believing are simply "unthinkable."

Think -- think clearly about everything. Think aobut the likelihood that after 1350 years, Islam can change. Think about what has happened, and is happening, in Holland and Denmark, in France and England and Spain and Germany and Italy. Like what you see? Think there is simply nothing to be done, that we should throw up our hands in the manner of "It's the Demography, Stupid" author and walk on, adopting an attitude of superior bemusement at the folly of men, but offer nothing as a means of halting and reversing an otherwise foreseeable catastrophe?

Why? Are we merely here to diagnose the illness, but then to say "there is nothing we can do" when there are a thousand things that can be done?

For god's sake, where did you go to medical school?

When the US starts shutting down cult sites which have sections entitled “ How to make the US an Islamic State” I might feel hopeful. Although, if the cult does take the reigns of power in the US you would simply be replacing a Christian theocracy with a death cult theocracy. It might not be so bad.

As for Europe, perhaps when the cult population reaches critical mass in France ( a country which doesn’t’ recognize scientology as a religion) and the crap really hits the fan then perhaps someone will have the sense to shut the cult down once and for all. “Sorry Mohhammod, the mosque, (or, military installation for planning cult jihad) is closed, try a proper religion”

Caroline, I love your advice and am going to take it.

"You can't keep Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira under wraps for ever. They are ready for their close-up. And they are going to get it." - Hugh

I wish I shared your optimism. It seems the more things change the more the stay the same, in the same old Potemkin sense. Deceit and falsehood are the enemy, still the enemy and will ever be the enemy. It is interesting that a lot of classic literature, "Dr. Faustus" for instance, depicts Lucifer as the penultimate logician. Reason without truth leads to nowhere.

The source of Muslim insanity does not stem from a lack of reason, it is rather that they reason too well and have taken materialism to its logical extreme and produced a purely man-made religion. They are lost in a maze of logic.

Posted by: Rebecca JW [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 17, 2006 7:12 AM

They are lost in a maze of logic according to Rebecca.

So that's where the come up with stories about a 100 ft. tall camel, jinn, and the whole wudu thing? They are just being too logical? There may well be mysteries that logic can not penetrate. There is a lot more phony hocus pocus that tries to use that as its alibi. "you shall know them by their fruit". In the struggle between Islam and not-Islam logic is not on the side of Islam.
