Not long after S. I. Rosenbaum's irresponsible smear job of Joe Kaufman (and, peripherally, me) appeared in the St. Petersburg Times, I sent off an email to Rosenbaum myself with the subject heading, "You were right; I shouldn't have trusted you" -- referring to her thanking me for trusting her, which she did several times during our long conversation. She responded: "I'm sorry you feel burned - that certainly wasn't my intention."
However, the Council on American Islamic Relations knows what side she is on, and is less shy than she is about admitting it. They are just thrilled with her little hatchet job, and have asked their followers to send a "note of appreciation" to the St. Petersburg Times and Rosenbaum herself.
CAIR, of course, has had several of its officials arrested and convicted on various terrorism-related charges, and has never answered questions about where it really stands on jihad violence. Good work, Rosenbaum. When the New Order is established, you will surely be among the foremost dhimmi journalists nationwide.

Well, I'm a little behind the curve, I admit, but I finally went back and read the original article and couldn't believe it. Hatchet job is right. If objectivity were any objective in the news business anymore, she would certainly be fired. canned. sacked. let go. see ya, have a good life, Miss Rosenbaum, by now.

I sent three letters in regard to the first posting of this story. No replies yet.
I was rereading bits of it today and thought of this for some odd reason.
“Please allow me to introduce myself
I’m a man of wealth and taste
I’ve been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man’s soul and faith
And I was ’round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate”

According to Bill O'Reilly the St. Peterburg Times is one of the worst newspapers in the US. I start to believe he was right.

I sent the little witch an email and thanked her for her role as a useful idiot, and for giving aid and comfort to our sworn enemies. I beseeched her to keep her mouth shut until she knew what she was talking about, (until she educates herself on the subject of Islam) but I have a feeling that little Ms. Rosenbaum is quite confident that she is much better informed and infinitely wiser than I will ever be.
Her sanctimonious, self-satisfaction oozed from her article and she was obviously beside herself with pride, delighted to have exposed an iniquitous den of hideous RACISTS.

Miss Rosenbaum comes across as being very narrow, her maintained focus is that these blogs are producing hate and nothing else.
This has always been the problem for the past several years, even among my friends. They think that because I am gathering knowledge about Islam that for some reason it gets categorized in their minds as hate. I've always felt that the reason they think this way is because Islam is considered one of the worlds great religions and thus they almost subcontiously give it a pass as if to say it is untouchable because it is a religion. For those that I have been able to discuss this reasonably with and to just ask them to read a little and study up on the history of Islam, well some are beginning to see the light as to what has been going on for the last 1,400 years.
So there is still some light at the end of this very long tunnel.
And yes there are commenters who step over the edge, but when you do read some of the articles that come in daily that are so unbelievable in their inhumanity for their fellow man in the name of Islam, it becomes difficult to contain a certain degree of anger over it.
But these things that are happening out there are not make believe, they are not someones made up stories, 9-11 was not some kind of rare anomaly, the Kobar Towers was not made up, the USS Cole bombing was not fabricated, The Pan am flight that was blew up over Lockerbie was not make believe, The train bombings in Spain was not someones imagination, the bombing of the london subway trains was not a fictional story. these where all driven by a very dangerous ideology that is founded in the Quran and the hadiths of the Islamic religion.
