Palestinian Imam: "Praise Allah the bird flu has hit the Jews."

From World Net Daily:

Sheikh Abu Muhammed, an imam at the popular Al-Tadwa mosque in Beit Lahia north of Gaza City, went on to ask Muslims at his Friday night sermon to pray for the sexual organs of Jews to "dry out" so they cannot reproduce, a Palestinian in attendance at the mosque services told WorldNetDaily.
"Praise Allah the bird flu has hit the Jews. It came because of their sins against the Palestinians; because they are the most cruel enemy of humanity; because they are themselves the enemy of humanity; because they don't believe in Allah; because they falsify the book of Allah; because they cheated the prophet Muhammed; and because they cheated Allah and even their own prophet, Moses," Sheikh Muhammed was quoted as saying.

A sermon with its peaceful words of tolerance shall morally guide the congretation to an enlightened state of spirituality and oneness with God. Somehow this concept got lost upon ol' Mo and his minions. It is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between a sermon in a mosque and a session of the Iranian parliament.

There was a bird once that died of flu. Flu under a bus and got run over.

Posted by: Interested [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 7:23 PM

I wish the good imam could fly, right under a bus and get ran over. I'v learned from a phycologist that the frontal lobe of the human brain dos'nt develope reasoning until about the age of 20. Apparently this guy must be about 19 or younger.

"Praise Allah the bird flu has hit the Jews"

No doubt, to show once again Islam's tolerance, CAIR will be condemning these remarks.

How about Turkey? They've been hit pretty hard with it. Must be that secular state they're hanging onto.

Everything bad that happens to Infidels happens because they're Infidels.

Everything bad that happens to the ummah also happens because of the Infidels.

It's an airtight scapegoat-- mighty handy.

Shinoliite -

The rite of driving the scape goat carrying the sins off into the desert on Yom Kippur is, I think, in Leviticus 16. Where does it mention that this poor creature was airtight? How did it breathe? Was it also waterproof, perchance?

Posted by: Certiorari [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 8:39 PM

Hobby horses, night mares, scape goats (airtight) - quite a bestiary this site has now. Who mucks them out and feeds them all, that's what I want to know.

Sheik Muhammed certainly is profoundly ignorant about diseases and their vectors, spreads and consequences, isn't he?

Posted by: Certiorari [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 8:57 PM

Perhaps the good imam hasn't noticed that the Jews' birds live just a few miles away from the palestinians' birdies.

Posted by: 3812Michelle [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 9:02 PM

So, Allah, the compassionate, the merciful, sent the bird flu to the Jews?

Posted by: DCWatson [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 9:04 PM

3812Michelle -

Blinded by his own hate, probably.

Posted by: Certiorari [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 9:15 PM

It's a pity it's "bird flu" and not "pig flu". Could you imagine the panic in the Islamic world if it were "pig flu"?

Posted by: 3rdtimelucky [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 9:31 PM

Off topic but...

Certiorari - your comments the other day on the thread about the Dutch immigration video - yes I am someone who will/would bring up my kids against the concepts of gay lifestyle.

It's a lifestyle. It's not DNA, so I CAN discriminate against it if I think it's wrong. Pleanty of gays have chosen to be hetro again, and vise versa - it's a choice. If my kids were gay? Well ultimately that's their choice in the end isn't it (as a parent I'd still love them, but not their lifestyle)? Besides, kids arn't gay or straight. It's a lifestyle choice they develop due to various factors within their own life.

It's a pity you types who are pro gay don't support the Swedish Pastor who was locked up for his preaching against gay relationships (as the Sweedish Christians have done for centuries in their own country). BUt then again, that's New Age "tolerance"/secularism for you isn't it??

Tolerance doesn't mean acceptance. Last time I checked Australia was a true democracy and I still had freedom of choice (and religion) (including the way I want my kids brought up).

As for the "in context" bit (Paul) - I'm talking historical context - look at whom he addressed his letters to, he makes that clear at the start of each book -, unlike the Koran (which you likened the Bible to) which is just a bunch of generic commands and words.

Posted by: 3rdtimelucky [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 9:42 PM

If you really think about Islamic views on public health and sanitation and then look a the average degree of cleanliness of the Muslim inhabitabts of the Gaza strip and the West Bank, I would be awfully wary of praising allah for the avian influenza's arrival.

Posted by: Zathras [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 9:42 PM

Sounds like one of those Lost Suras from the Koran that was eaten by a wondering jackass.

And now regurgitated by another.

Too off topic. Next time I see you active on this site I'll post a temporary email address so that we can continue our conversation more appropriately. I'd do it now but it's 3:00am in the UK and my Technical man would probably murder me if I woke him up now.

Ronco sells them on infomercials at 4am. It's airtight, watertight, and programmable. Just set it, *audience claps hands* and forget it!

It's not sold in stores, but if it were, it would be next to Douglas Adams' Electric Monk, a labor-saving device that believes things for you. (They'd make a killing on a dhimmi-specific model.) :)

Posted by: Shinoliite [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 10:00 PM

Shinoliite -

Much hearty laughter at this end. I remember the Electric Monk.

I presume the primary program for the Scape Goat is SinUlike 1.1 or similar.

Posted by: Certiorari [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 10:13 PM

Microsoft Scapegoat XP, unfortunately. You start to break a commandment, and a little cartoon paperclip with eyes pops up and says, "It looks like you're committing adultery. Would you like to:"

- Have Microsoft Scapegoat atone for your sins?
- Have Microsoft Scapegoat arrange dinner and a movie for next time?
- Continue what I was doing?

So... how 'bout that bird flu? ;)

Posted by: Shinoliite [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 10:19 PM

And when Muslims start dying from bird flu, what will he say then? May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob strike him with what he wishes on God's chosen people.

Posted by: Bohemond_1069 [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 10:21 PM

Shinoliite -

Almost woke everyone up laughing at that.

Well, this particular Sheik's response is no more or less than the ineffably stupid sort of thing we have been hearing for years. Methinks Virgil had the right of it:

"Monstrum horrendum, informe, ingens, cui lumen ademptum."

It more or less sums the man, and his beliefs, up.

(Incidentally, I think that the quote is from the Aeneid, but I wouldn't swear to it at this time of night.)

Posted by: Certiorari [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 10:42 PM

Malaysia & Indonesia have been hit by Bird Flu too. And they're both predominantly Muslim. What does that say about Allah?

Posted by: bamsterkins [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 10:46 PM

Sorry, for those with uncertain Latin the translation is: 'A hideous, vast and horrendous monster deprived of sight'.

Posted by: Certiorari [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 10:46 PM

I think allah forgot about bird migration. You just can't keep the bird on the perch.

Posted by: freewoman [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2006 11:10 PM

Certiorari - fair enough.

You sit on the computer at 3.00am???????? Are you an insomniac?????

What season is it in the UK? It's coming into Autumn here, so what's that there? Spring? Surely it is rather nippy/rainy over there, the quilt would be better company than the PC?

I'd ask you to say hello to my Pommy relatives (cousins) over there in London, but to many lovers of the Religion of Peace abound here. Watch out for those back packer Muslims spreading their love. All the best - have a good night....er morning. 3x.

Posted by: 3rdtimelucky [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2006 12:02 AM

He'll claim that any and all Muslims who become afflicted with the diesease were not Muslim enough.

As someone else said, above:

It's airtight.

The real test of his mindless assertion will come if he becomes afflicted.

We can hope.

1. The astonishing thing about the subject story is not what Sheikh Muhammed said. His rantings are unsurprising to me. The interesting thing is that a Palestinian in attendance at the mosque reported the contents of the Sheikh's sermon to World Net Daily.

2. 3rdtimelucky - I'm new here and don't know the background for your wildly off-topic comment, but let's see if I understand you correctly. You yourself feel an equal sexual attraction to both men AND women, but you made a conscious choice to only have relations with members of the opposite sex. Correct? Otherwise, why would you assume that others also make such a choice between two equally attractive options?

Posted by: Nick [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2006 1:38 AM

Someone just give him the bird.

Posted by: Islofob IS-1 [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2006 2:00 AM

Certiorari, wouldn't this one be more apt:

"Extemplo Libyae magnas it Fama per urbes: Fama malum quo non velocius ullum; Mobilitate viget, viresque acquirit eundo; Parva metu primo; mox sese attollit in auras, Ingrediturque solo, et caput inter nubilia condit. . . . . Monstrum, horrendum ingens; cui quot sunt corpore plumae Tot vigiles oculi subter, mirabile dictu, Tot linquae, totidem ora sonant, tot subrigit aures"

And as my latin is near 30+ years old:

"Straightway throughout the Libyan cities flies rumor;--the report of evil things than which nothing is swifter; it flourishes by its very activity and gains new strength by its movements; small at first through fear, it soon raises itself aloft and sweeps onward along the earth. Yet its head reaches the clouds. . . . A huge and horrid monster covered with many feathers: and for every plume a sharp eye, for every pinion a biting tongue. Everywhere its voices sound, to everything its ears are open".

What does that sound like to you? Avian Influenza or Islam?

Posted by: Zathras [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2006 2:28 AM

Are the birds Muslims or infidels? Looks like they are participants in the Jihad, but question remains - which side?

Apart from Malaysia & Indonesia, it's also striking Egypt. If enough of this happens, Inshallah

Posted by: Infidel Pride [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2006 3:30 AM

According to the Quran, circumcizing these birds should get rid of the flu. All Mohammedan bird handlers, try it before the halal slaughter.

I surely would.

Zathras -

Very appropriate indeed and, as you infer, applicable to both. From liber quartus I'd say, at a guess - like you, the years take their toll on the memories. I must find time to re-read.

3rdtimelucky -

Yes, I am an insomniac, as it turns out. I frequently use the night hours to work and then I keep an eye on JW/DW just for fun and information. The solace of my quilt and my bed, I agree, would be much nicer, but some nights that is not to be. Thank-you for your kind words. I will certainly keep a weather eye open on Saturday for those backpacking members of the 'religion of peace'.

Laughable and pathetically backward idiot.

Amazing how a tiny and besieged country like Israel manages to publish more scientific papers annually than the entire Arab world.

Israel, being home to the foremost institution of medical research in the world, will probably be able to control the outbreak and show the world how its done, helping their miserable, envious and hateful neighbours and expecting not a whit of gratitude in return.

Posted by: waterdragon52 [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2006 8:26 AM

Isn't it just wonderful, that the God of the Bible (Jehovah) has n o t h i n g to do with the Koran, Allah, Muhammed or the Islam. They come from a completely different source. The Jews falsified nothing. The Muslims, bless the poor things, believe a lie.

One day we will all see the truth (when we die). Call for Jesus while you're alive, Jesus is the way to God. (Sorry about the Christian viewpoint, but I couldn't help myself. And the Jews are waiting for the Messiah too, but to come for the first time. Think if that would be Jesus after all?).

Well today [22 III 06], big surprise! Bird flu has struck Gaza. Nobody would have predicted it. And not only bird flu, but another disease of fowl, Newcastle disease.
I hope the good imam eats a lot of the local Gaza poulets.
