Balkenende in Jakarta affirms his belief in the great unicorn of our age, an Islam that does not teach the subjugation of non-Muslims under the Islamic social order. While there are undeniably many Muslims who are not pursuing this end, there is no Islamic school of jurisprudence or sect (except those deemed heretical by the great majority) that does not teach this. Consequently, there is a danger to the West coming from Islam; flatly denying it will not make it disappear. From Expatica, with thanks to Charles Martel:
AMSTERDAM — Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende called for a rapprochement between Muslims and people of other faiths on Friday."It causes me pain to see that people regard Islam as a danger. Islam is not a danger. The people who misuse Islam to spread terror are the danger," Balkenende said during a speech at an Islamic university in the Indonesian capital Jakarta on Friday.
Balkenende, the leader of the Dutch Christian Democrat Party (CDA), also had discussions with leaders of Muslim groups and visited a Madrassa (Islamic school) on the first day of his two-day visit to Indonesia.
At the university, he cited the murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh to
illustrate that there were also tensions between groups in the Netherlands. Many of the students expressed interest in obtaining a scholarship to go to the Netherlands. One student asked Balkenende why prostitution and gay marriage are legal in the Netherlands.Balkenende pointed out he had voted against legalisation when he was a member of parliament but that a majority supported the change.

Where has Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende been in the last couple of years?
Has he forgotten that the Muslim world and non-Muslim cannot get along?
Wake up Mr. Balkenende and smell the coffee!

The people who misuse Islam to spread terror are the danger ...Throughout more than 13 centuries of history and until this very day, the dangerous people have been those who use Islam, not misuse it. It is incredible to me how we as a civilization blindly ignore that history.
At the university, he cited the murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh to illustrate that there were also tensions between groups in the Netherlands.Tensions? There were also "tensions" between the people of Nazi Germany and the Netherlands between 1939 and 1945. How many Dutch citizens lost their lives in that little spat? Comments like these from dhimmified Western leaders only serve to encourage mujahedeen which leads to more bloodshed of innocents. These dhimmi leaders have the blood of their citizens on their own hands as reward for their submission to the jihadi would be conquerers. The West will no doubt prevail in this global war and history will condemn the cowardice of men such as Mr. Balkenende. Men such as this are as despicable as Nazi collaborators. Such are kindred souls. Posted by: Hulegu Khan

"The people who misuse Islam to spread terror are the danger"
He's got that wrong, of course. It's the muslim 'moderates' and apostates who are the only ones misusing Islam. The fool has got it all back to front.

See what we have to content with, overhere in Holland? The guy is a total embarrassment for all of us.
After Theo van Gogh was killed, the first thing he did was go to visit muslims, and tell them not to worry.
When he held the presidency of the EU, he was the one who brought Turkey into the EU, something he considers his top accomplishment. He is a total moron, and a charter member of the 9/10 club.

I think Balkenende is wearing his wooden shoes a little too tight. And on the wrong end of his body.
There's a simple Dutch word for this buffoon:
Lafard.
Coward.

He is right. It is just something to be very, very, very, very, very, very, very concerned about!

It is as if the Dutch politician Balkenende is trying to be a hero – though by the sound of the questions asked – it looks like those Islamic students would not pass the test to come to the Netherlands – Oh Well!

Absolutely true. Islam is not a danger. Moslems are.

Just like there are moderate Nazi's, eh
Mr. Balkenende? Or are you old enough to remember the extremists who invaded your country, while the "moderate nazi's" stayed home
trying to build a country of "tolerance"?
It might pain you now, but if you don't get your head out of the sand, the pain will be in your neck.

Islam is much the same as any army.
For every infantryman on the front line it takes at least ten in logistics to support him.
Islam is exactly the same.
For every terrorist there are ten "moderate"muslims (ie. will gleefully look on while the terrorist slits your throat, then hides and feeds the terrorist).
In my opinion, the so-called moderate muslims are the worst of the lot...damned two-faced hypocrites.

Well, no, the real danger that Balkenende sees is from people who would stop his government from sanctioning the murder of infirm babies. He has recently legalized it, and was furious when the Italian minister Giovannardi pointed out that the Nazis did that. We are not Nazis, says Balkenende. We only murder the old and the sick in the name of improving the race, and we make friends with violent Muslim extremists. Why should anyone imagine that we are Nazis? You see, mynheer Balkenende is a man of very strong principles. He will not let himself be forced out of the path of murder and dhimmitude.

Balkenende is following the same absurd and dillusional idea as did his Politik at Srebrenica.
It is to be noted that at the time the United Nations designated the town as a "safe area."
Safe from who, due to the lack of proper understanding of the situation, the politicans of the day failed to take action and the result was a massacre
Today our politicans do the same thing and sit around discussing the problem of Islam in commitees while people continue to suffer and die.

Islam is not a danger.
That statement ranks right up there with:
Those Great White sharks don't really want to eat humans.
Those grizzly bears don't really want to eat humans.

He's right Islam is not the danger. It's the idiots that practise Islam. All 1.2 billion of them.

"At the University, many students expressed their desire to get Danish scholorships, and migration to Denmark"
The same crowd, which burnt and booted the Danish flag, which shouted "death to Christians",now drooling to barge into Denmark. As it is ,the present Islamic citizens of Denmark give so much trouble to the original Danes,by over instigating the Cartoons issue,by falsly showing cartoons, which were not intended to depict Mohammed, and stopping all trade to Islamic countries.
The same ideology of 'demonising' USA,and Britain.and on the otherhand trying their best to sneak into these countries, mostly through illegal means. It is a shame. But they dont have shame.

Coward and cowardly speech by a government that fears for his own life in calling the cult of islam vile, evil and murderous.

I saw the Dutch prime minister in an interview here in Australia, and in comparing the situation in the Netherlands to Australia he made the point that they have a population of 16 million with over a million Muslims, so he stated the Dutch consequently have bigger immigration and security issues. Sure, he blabbed on about the minority of extremists (TM) etc etc but his point was quite clear.
I hate to be "Islamophobic", but the impression from that I get is the larger your Moslem population, the bigger the problems are for your society. The Netherlands are a prime example and Dutch PM admits it.

Didn't I read a piece somewhere which implied that by 2020, 50% of Dutch under-18s will be Muslims - meaning that Holland will become a majority Muslim nation by 2050. If that's not a danger, I don't know what is, given the reputation of that religion and its followers over the past 1,400 years in general and the last 50 or 60 years in particular. And as for his misuse of Islam for teror purposes, doesn't the fool realise that Muslims have beeen 'misusing' Islam for 1,400 years, which acounts for its spread from nothing to 20% of the world's population. At the end of the day, Muslims are using useful idiots like Balkende in their pursuit of global conquest.

Sigh,
After all that has happened and this is what the West gets for leadership? When will any political leader of any stature anywhere in Dar al Harb ever say any thing honest about the "problems" we are facing? The PM is another idiot. What more can I say?
