More on the Iranian dhimmi badge story. As I said below, it is like Nazi Germany, but it is much more like ancient laws for dhimmis.

Prime Minister John Howard was among three world leaders who today said an Iranian bill, which reportedly would force non-Muslims to wear coloured badges in public, was akin to Nazi Germany.However, Teheran emphatically denied the report, in a Canadian newspaper, that the law would force Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians to wear a yellow, red or blue strip of cloth, respectively, on their clothes....
"If that (the report) is true, I would find it totally repugnant," Mr Howard told reporters before the report was debunked.
"It obviously echoes the most horrible period of genocide in the world's history and the marking of Jewish people with a mark on their clothing by the Nazis, and anything of that kind, would be totally repugnant to civilised countries.
"If it is the case, it's something that would just further indicate to me the nature of this regime.
"It's a calculated insult, if it's true, not only to Christians but most particularly to Jews."...
In Teheran, MP Emad Afroogh, who sponsored the bill and chairs the parliament's cultural committee, said today there was no truth to the Canadian newspaper report.
"It's a sheer lie. The rumours about this are worthless," he said.
"The bill is not related to minorities. It is only about clothing," he said.
"Please tell them (in the West) to check the details of the bill. There is no mention of religious minorities and their clothing in the bill," he said.
We'll see.

"The most horrible period of genocide in the world's history". It was a genocide, yes, a horrible genocide. But the most horrible genocide in the world's history is still happening. It started in 662 A.D. The victims are Jews, Christians, Persians, Bahais, Hindus, Buddhists and tribes of Africa. NONE was/is spared in this genocide. My estimate of the number of killings is 3 - 4 billion and counting. Anybody else want to guess the actual number of those brutally killed ?

Just in case anyone gets confronted with a 'tu quoque' argument, remember that it wasn't only the Nazis and Moslems who made Jews wear an identifying badge. In 1215 there was a papal decree that Jews should wear conical hats and they can often be seen with them on, in 13th century illustrations.

In the same vein, we had ONE protester (a Taiwanese fellow by the look of him) here in Australia against the Uranium sale to China.

Where did that come from? You are equating what the Roman Catholic Church did back in 1215..... quite a long time ago…. to the present Iranian government????

The Church has strongly condemned anti-Semitism and Pope John Paul II has asked for forgiveness of the Church for past wrongs commited against the Jewish people by the Church. Your remark reeks of a misguided attempt of "moral equivalency" or some similar nonsence.

Except that the Nazis never quite accomplished the A-bomb.
Hitler was less clear-sighted on the subject than Mahmoud and the mad mullahs and had thankfully driven the best scientists out of Europe with his "racial" decrees.
Now, however, the Iranians do not need to be scientists, only thieves (thanks to A.Q Khan of Pakistan, the North Koreans, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, et al).
I suggest we name the newest small-megatonnage neutron weapon "Walnuts and Chocolate" in honor of the crank-in-chief of the former-Persians.

Are you saying that because women wanted to vote, have a say in her own womb, support their families, and be sorta equal in a marriage that women are communist sympathizers?
So when I get after Naseem for loving the fact she lives behind a veil, and all the atrocities against the islamic woman, I am somehow perpetuating something Communist?
I don't think so.
Anyhoo. What the Iranian parliament is doing is beginning another holocaust. They deny it happened and now they want to emulate the Nazi's. This needs to be stopped. Pronto.

I was merely pointing out that when it's stated that the Muslims made dhimmis wear badges showing their religion, that it shouldn't be forgotten that the Christians had also, at some point in history, done that. No need to read any more into it, and since I gave a date, I'm perfectly aware that it was a long time ago.

When PM Howard was in Canada he was insulted by the opposition Party's by not only the silence when Howard praised the USA , but almost half of the Liberal Party MP that sent our troops to Afghanistan , didn't even show up because Monday is our National Holiday.
What's very telling of the NDP and Liberals is that the Khadr friendly and Al-Qaeda friendly Prime Minister Paul Martin that lost our 06 Election was one of the no-shows Friday.
And after the Wednesday night vote for honouring our 2010 commitment to the Afganis
it was Jack Layton of the NDP that finally told the truth that his anti-American pro-gay Socialists labour party wanted Canada out of Afgan in feb/07 .
In other words , the Taliban wins and Gays and Females will go back to being murdered in public while Darfur becomes the new Political cause to blame Bush for not sending troops there to stop the killings.
BTW, Bill Siksay from the NDP has aligned himself with CAIR and a few other Islamic Org.'s that want the release of 4 Muslims being held on terrorism links for security reasons.
The NDP had a CAIR friendly Muslims run in a Federal Election . and this was even after her Syrian husband was alleged to have Al-Qaeda links and tried to enter the USA from Tunisia to JFK airport on a Canadian Passport.
America isn't safe while many Canadians still live in their false reality dreamworld that Islam means Peace and all Muslims are victims of Global Islamophobia from a few non-Muslims that hijacked islam for Political reasons.
I await the passport ID rules, they will keep me safe and it's the immigrants bitching about having to list their Counrty or origin.

Since the woman is considered not quite as human as a man - let's consider Islam as being a male religion.

Pass it on, I've asked Naseem a couple of times how she could stand to be in a religion that only respects one half of it's followers , and the half it doesn't respect ,is her own.
She never answered that.

Iran nchanged their name from Persia in the 1930's because they wanted to ally themselves with Nazi Germany. "Haj" Amin al-Husseini, Grand Mufti of Palestine, worked closely with the Nazis in WWII to help defeat the Allies and try to get the extermination of the Jews extended to the Muslim world. al-Husseini recruited tens of thousands of Muslims in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania to the German SS. He raised his orphaned nephew, Rahman Abdul Rauf el-Qudwa al-Husseini, and taught him the same principles he had learned under his Nazi masters. When his nephew grew up he changed his name to Yasser Arafat. Arafat called his uncle al-Husseini "our hero". It's no wonder that there is a Nazi/Islamic connection.

As late as 1897 the Papal authorities in Rome were kidnapping Jewish children from their homes, forcing Jews to listen to conversionist sermons in by Franciscans and Dominicans in the synagogues, and holding entire families hostage until they converted.
