Anti-dhimmitude in Brussels. "Islamic centre staff jailed for inciting race hatred," from Expatica, with thanks to Sr. Soph:
BRUSSELS — Brussels Court sentenced on Wednesday two workers of the Belgian Islamic Centre to 10 months jail, five of which were suspended, for inciting race hatred against Jews via the centre's website.The 26-year-old Abdel Rahman Ayachi and the 30-year-old Raphaël Gendron are both responsible for administering the centre's website.
Besides the jail terms, they were each ordered to pay a fine of EUR 15,000 and deposit EUR 2,500 into the account of the Centre for Equal Opportunities and Opposition to Racism.
The anti-racism bureau had lodged a complaint against the Islamic centre and the monetary sentence is designed to compensate the Jewish community for the damage and insulting remarks made by Sébastien Courtoy, the lawyer for the defence.
Some 20 other people — who are members of a social dialogue collective — will each be paid the symbolic compensation of EUR 1.
The two defendants were convicted of denying the Holocaust, minimalising the extent of Nazi crimes and inciting race hatred, especially against Jews, via a video report and prosecutable statements.

Bravo, Belgium!
May this be a signal that the pendulum is finally swinging back and an indication that the courts really can discern between legitimate concerns being raised about an aggressive totalitarian ideology and the defamation of an identifible group (there is no Jewish "race" any more than there is a Muslim "race") with the intent to foment hatred and violence.

But they were such good boys, they went to mosque and they loved soccer. I'm shocked and stunned by these accusations. Clearly there must be some kind of misunderstanding.

5 months in jail- to find new networks of like-minded infil-traitors in order to prosecute the jihad more effectively upon release.
While wasting court time, public funds, and irritating the infidels.
"Repatriation" to Mecca should be to answer to all captured Islamic Imperialists.

If it's ever paid, the fines will no doubt go to Muslims in the form of welfare, or another Government Publication vainly trying to paint Islam as a "peaceful" religion. These men will exploit their incarceration, as will their entire community as "proof" positive of "Islamophobia" in Belgium.
OH! Had they only stuck to waffles, chocolate, and fine linens, we wouldn't be in this mess!

There's plenty of evidence that race hate propaganda is being spread in, or around, most of the mosques in Europe. 'Moderate' Muslims are not going to report one of their own to the kaffirs - the extremists are probably voicing what they themselves quietly believe, anyway. It's time the police became pro-active -using bugging devoces, if necessary - and starting locking these people up.

One hopes that just as these intolerant people were gaoled, so will the intolerant people who attack Islam and Muslims be gaoled. The enemy is not Islam or Muslims, the enemy is intolerance and intolerant people. Unfortunately all too many of the latter post here.

Hmmmm. They'll probably next throw the book at some Christian evangelist who warns his hearers that they might be going to Hell. I am very suspicious of the various kinds of "Hate Crime" and "Hate SPeech" legislation out there. Isn't it enough to apply older laws on incitement to riot or murder?
Still, it's good that Europe seems to be waking up.

John Howard, Islam is the epitome of intolerance, thus all Muslims are intolerant, even if they pretend otherwise. Their religion demands their intolerance of non-muslims. So what's your problem? Are you suggesting that we, members of civilized, Western society, are obligated to tolerate the intolerant by virtue of liberal Western values?
Sorry, but that amounts to civilizational suicide so you and your fellow travelers may consider the line drawn. Common sense must be substituted for liberal western vaues when confronted with Medieval barbarians, assuming they mean anything at all. Otherwise, the Medieval barbarians will prevail and that is simply unacceptable.
