Interesting findings reported in the Jerusalem Post:
LONDON - Islam is incompatible with modern Western society, according to a majority of those responding to a recent Dutch survey. Most of the people polled expressed a negative view of Islam and Muslims.The survey was released the same week that a Dutch Justice Ministry report said radical Islam had made significant inroads among the country's immigrants, posing a threat to the nation's security.
Known for its laissez-faire social attitudes, the sharp turn in public opinion against Islam in the Netherlands has sparked a debate that has prompted criticism of Queen Beatrix and the government for allegedly abandoning Western values in the face of Muslim pressure.
The poll conducted by Dutch research firm Motivaction for the GPD newspaper chain on June 2 found that 63 percent of those surveyed believed Islam was incompatible with modern European life.
More than a quarter of respondents said Muslim immigrants were rude, lazy, intolerant and prone to criminal behavior. They said the increase in Muslim immigration has had a negative effect on civic and social life, with almost 80 percent saying relations between Muslims and non-Muslims had become strained.
Government-backed initiatives to acculturate Muslim immigrants had failed, respondents said, as most believed that many immigrants had walled themselves off from Western society in an attempt to create outposts of their home cultures on Dutch soil.

The tolerant multiculturalists among the respondents said Muslim immigrants were polite, hard working, tolerant and prone to charity, the improvement of community and family relations, and spirituality. They said the increase in Muslim immigration has had a positive effect on civic and social life, with all intelligent people saying relations between Muslims and Infidels had never been better.
A Crusader Government-backed Final Solution to brainwash Allah's holy warriors had failed, some misinformed respondents with a death wish said, as most erroneously believed that many Muslim colonialists had walled themselves off from the Great Satan's society in an attempt to create outposts of the only true culture on Infidel soil in an effort to slowly conquer the country by outbreeding the Infidels and then taking over. I could have saved them a lot of money if they had asked me. I live in Holland and I have watched the slow deterioration in the quality of life over the last 10 years. In fact I think the figuer of 63% is a little on the low side. The same is happening in Germany and in Belgium. If Gert Wilgers the politician that is under 24 hour protection can get enough candidates for his new party he should win enough seats to in the next election to influence the formation of the next Government. Things are slowly changing here in Europe and remember it was only 4 years after Chambelien came back from Munich waving his piece of paper until Churchill and Rosevelt were demanding unconditional surrender. If there is one thing that is certain the Dutch will not roll over and play dead.

The Dutch have a negative view of islam, that's a first step.
The more important question is: will they actually do anything about it? Will they vote in politicians who have the courage to make change? Will the Dutch stop persecuting their own who speak out against islam? I hope they do, but that still remains to be seen.

If Dutch law persists in criminalizing those who speak out in conscience against islam and sharia and dhimmitude, then Dutch society should close ranks against Dutch law. Widescale civil disobedience; get in the way of the police as they walk down the street, then say "sorry, trying to be a good dhimmi!" and smile, faux-regretfully and walk away. Serve them last when on duty. Walk through the legal districts and obstruct every Allie McBeal lookalike and every florid jurist; "sorry, fellow kufr; I didn't see you!". Block, in seeming confusion, every official in sight; we are after all, as islam seems to feel, merely sheep and without firm leadership we cannot really be expected to know what to do, or what to think. Get your friends in on it too. Make a date. Take action.

This is a problem, but as long as they master the immigration problem, which it seems they are, there is every reason to be hopeful. And let's not paint with broad brushstrokes here; immigrants from many underdeveloped nations and cultures integrate (or stay separate) with little ill effect. Islam is the problem, not immigration per se.

I wonder if this opinion survey included Muslim Dutch citizens - that would skew it a little low.
Then figure in the many multiculturated people afraid or not ready to express feelings that they have been told are ignorant, racist etc.

Five years ago 30% of all Moroccans and Turks in the Netherlands were living on social benefits. It gets even worse when you only look at the older generation. 65% (!) of all Moroccans and Turks between 40 and 65 years of age were either unemployed or not able to work, more than three times as much as native Dutchmen.
With these high percentages, it comes as no surprise that foreign immigrants cost a society more in social benefits than they they gain through employment. Islam can also be fairly judged on its outcomes in the day to day world, not on the more arcane facets of its religious doctrine.

The Dutch, and all of Europe, should bring in immigrants from Latin America, India, Eastern Asia and Christian Africa, along with non-Muslims from Islam-dominated areas. There will be no serious trouble with these immigrants, they will work to better themselves and their new homelands, and in a couple of generations they will be totally integrated and will consider themselves Europeans. There will be problems with discrimination, but problems that get solved. There will be cultural clashes, but they will not be violent.

Two solutions--stopgap only--one is for Christian Europe to fell and settling here in the US. I suspect this is happening and will only intensify as Eurabia heats up.
Jihad has also changed my mind on immigration with illegals via Mexico. Sure, there breaking the law, but these traditional, hard-working Mexicans(with their large families) may salvage America from the Muslim hordes in the next century.
These two issues--Jews and Christians from Europe and Israel coupled with further tens of millions of religious Catholic Mexicans should help perserve the 'demographic edge' over Islam in the US.

Of course it's Islamophobia! How can anybody blame Islam for the large numbers of atrocities done in it's name today and for the last 14 centuries? Don't you know The Prophet was commited to non-violence (as ReligionofPeace.com says, not to be confused with the excellent anti-Jihad site TheReligionOfPeace.com)?
It's those right wing racist haters responsible for Islam's poor image. We need more dialog, more mosque out reach programs, more Qu'rans in schools, more laws banning hate speech (better known as anyone speaking the truth about Islam). Just convert to Islam and all your problems will vanish. Really.

There are a lot of promising signs in Europe these days and no accusations of islamophobia are going to stop that.
Immigration and border control are being tightened everywhere. The only thing that has yet to materialize are the popular anti-islamic movements and public discussion about islam and its incompatibility with western values.
The feeling I get when discussing immigration issues with people from various European countries is that people in general are aware of the declining birth rate and the hordes of immigrants waiting outside our borders. This has not, however, been realized into any kind of action or political movement. But it is bubbling under and it could explode if there was a major event like a terrorist attack within European soil or another Cartoon craziness.
I think the muslims overestimated their power when they started the cartoon madness. They did not know what they caused to happen with their mindless demonstrations.

As far as I'm aware, nobody has conducted a poll about people's attitudes to Muslims in the UK. This is probably because the results would be likely to be unpalatable to those who maintain the prevailing political orthodoxy of multiculturalism and merely be seen as an attempt to stir up trouble.

Hi wallyUK.....you know the answer.....the government knows they have a problem as the general population becomes more aware, and as a result, hostile to our Muslim "friends".
They have a duty to keep a lid on it, like it or not.
All you have to do is listen and let our Muslim friends dig their own hole. They DEMAND apologies for a raid, that was probably and deliberately misled - set up - but in all sense was to protect the whole community including Muslims. They DEMAND prior knowledge - intelligence - of future raids, so they can tip the perpetrators off. The leader of the MCB gives a a cocky interviews suggesting smugly how arranged marriages would be good for Britain and that we should embrace Islamic values because they would be good for us, whilst not for a faint moment perceiving the sheer hypocracy of his own words. They insult our values, tolerance and freedom which they wish to exploit. They DEMAND we be tolerant whilst holding their own right to be intolerant of those who don't believe the brainwash BS they believe. But the best thing is they think we are weak, stupid and unable to resist their lies and deceit. Arrogance will be their downfall.
Whatever our "leaders" may do through expediency it will ultimately be the people who decide. When the masses get pissed off and are not prepared to tolerate the Islamofascists any more, at this tipping point, our "leaders" have to decide whose side they are on.

You know biorabbi I used to think the same thing until the parades of ILLEGAL immigrants around the USA a few weeks ago. If the illegal immigrants can portray themselves as victims of the Racist-immigrant hating-Americans they will get more of what they want from our spineless politicians, not what they deserve - - which is deportation back to THEIR county. The belief that some around the world have that since "you have more than I and therefore you OWE me" just may drive the Catholic immigrants into alliance with muslim immigrants.
They are carping about the term "illegal immigrant" Just as c.a.i.r. complains about the intollerence of others toward their "religion of peace and tolerence". Unbelievable! The attempt to label someone a racist for using "illegal immigrant" to describe a person that has immigrated ILLEGALLY boggles the mind, but this is happening.

I am from India, and I got to know about holland from a Dutchman in another forum that, increasing number of non-muslim immigrants to Netherlands are voting for the right wing parties...
He was sad that the native dutch are not fast enough to recoganise this menace of muslims....
Any more information about the voting paterns of non Muslim immigrants in Europe.....
Muslims are hated by not only by westerners but also by all those who know can distinguish between whats good and whats wrong....
