Another story on Saudi dissembling about their textbooks. And of course, why wouldn't this material be in them? It's in the Qur'an (2:62-65; 5:59-60; 7:166). From the Telegraph, with thanks to Anon:
Saudi Arabia has been accused of continuing to foster religious hatred in its schools, despite its repeated assurances since the September 11 attacks that it would rewrite textbooks that refer to Jews as "apes" and Christians as "swine".The charges come after Freedom House, a non-partisan American research group which monitors civil rights worldwide, examined textbooks that it smuggled out of Saudi Arabia. The group found that despite promises of change from leading Saudi officials, including Saud al-Faisal, the foreign minister, and Turki al-Faisal, the ambassador to America, schoolbooks in the kingdom still promote hatred of those who do not practise its strict form of Wahhabi Islam.
The report also alleged that some of the textbooks are used in official Saudi schools around the world. Senior staff at the King Fahd Academy in Acton, west London, which has 750 pupils, said that it was not for the school to comment.
"Even if only a small percentage of the people who are exposed to this take it to heart and act on it, that's still a lot of people," said Nina Shea, Freedom House's director, after the release of the 39-page report, Saudi Arabia's Curriculum of Intolerance.
The report cites extracts from textbooks used in religious education classes for children aged between five and 16. It quotes the following exercise for the youngest children: "Fill in the blanks with the appropriate words (Islam, hellfire): Every religion other than ------- is false. Whoever dies outside of Islam enters -------."
It claims that older students are taught: "It is part of God's wisdom that the struggle between the Muslim and the Jews should continue until the hour (of judgment)."
The report is an embarrassment for the Saudi government, which has made great efforts to restore its image since being painted as a bastion of extremism after September 11. When it emerged that 15 of the 19 hijackers that day were Saudi, many blamed the kingdom's education system for breeding hatred.
Last month, however, only days before the report was released, the Saudi education minister gave a joint press conference with the American secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, in which he boasted of Saudi school reform.
"The education reforms in Saudi Arabia go beyond textbook rewriting," he said. "They go into teacher training [and] the messages that are given to children in the formative years… The whole system of education is being transformed from top to bottom."
When asked about offensive language in textbooks, he said: "This is taken out." But, according to Miss Shea, this is not true. "Teaching methods that ask kindergarten children to give examples of 'false religions', like Judaism and Christianity, add up to an ideology that runs throughout," she said. "It is not hate speech here and there. It adds up to an argument, an ideology of us versus them."

He didn't answer "I'm not sure" or even "That's something we'll have to address." He lied openly, to the entire world. More than that, he lied openly to the entire world, knowing that his lie would be detected, and assuming (probably rightly) that nothing would be done about his lie.
Time to write a letter to some politicians...

I have it on good authority that the Black Stone imbedded in the Ka'aba is actually the petrified skull dome of a large Sus Scrofa (Eurasia Wild Boar) which has gone unrecognized by the uneducated Arabian tribesmen since before the time of Mohammed.
So, the Muslims have actually been kissing a stone pig for centuries.
And none, therefore, are going to Paradise.

Swine and apes, eh?
I'm wondering what kind of trousered apes would have designed and be running an "educational" system around texts that are presented as "true" while at the same time never having examined those texts with historical and critical methods, because their culture is too primitive to have developed such methods - not that such people wouldn't also, perhaps, be canny enough to fear the results of such investigation by those advanced enough to have such skills.

Actually, I'm still amused at the Muslim obsession with apes.
It's sometimes said that humour, like much else, flows from reason and hence is characteristic of Man. But I reckon this chimp has more of a sense of humour than most Saudis:

I despise the expats that, with their work, skills and knowledge, help the Saudi system to prosper. Complete selfish people after money, servile to a racist system.

I don’t wanna come off like some redneck anti-Semite here, but you gotta understand Moslem concerns about Jews.
When Jew poet centenarian Abu Afak wrote that malicious poem lampooning Islam, Mohammed had little choice but to order him murdered. The next week, the Jewess poet Asma Marwan called for retribution against Mohammed, who of course was then forced to order her put to death.
But let’s be nuanced here. First, Mo and his Companions were under a lot of stress during their early days in Medina, so lashing out is understandable if not perfect. Second, notice that Umayr bin Adiyy did NOT slay the suckling infant feeding at Asma’s breast. No doubt Mo demanded that collateral damage be kept to a minimum in this military operation.
Further, when the Jews of Banu Qaynuqa violated the military treaty Mo had declared with them, he did not slay them. No, he evicted them to their natural homeland, Syria. Ditto for when the Jews of Banu Nadir tried Mo’s patience yet again. But, when a third tribe of Jews, the Banu Qurayza, violated their treaty with Mo, he realized that Jews of this region and period were not to be trusted. But even still, the Qurayza coulda been evicted to Syria too, had not they got caught sneaking. But no, after taking over the oasis, Mo was disappointed to discover a stockpile of spears and swords the Jews had stashed in a vault, he was forced by circumstances to decapitate all the men and teen boys. But, again, notice that he took all the Qurayza women and children into Moslem custody for safekeeping.
As can be seen from these incidents, Mohammed and his Companions always showed great restraint optimism about Jews.

So, when Wahabi schoolteachers instruct Moslem children about Jews being Apes, this is a metaphor bespeaking the fact that we are all descended from one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.
And when the Moslem kids are instructed about Christians being swine, another metaphor. This one a bit risqué, cuz Mo was a visionary always pushing the envelope, for he was a bold fellow. The swine metaphor means that Christians are the Other White Meat, a solid source of nutrition that Moslems — in empathy with Jews, by the way — happen to choose to proscribe for reasons of religious symbolism.

If you want to evolve, you need to drink milk from she-camels instead of sheep. Then it would prove that you weren't transformed into rats. As for apes, avoid fish on the sabbath - that should do it (see same link above).

That is putting it rather mildly, too much PC for me!
What it really is, and what it really does, is to install hatred, as you can see in the totally unhinged and fanaticized "Palestinians"-, who have turned into a subspecies of the human race, without any purpose in life other than to riot, destroy & kill.
It also helps to brainwash and prepare young Saudi's to hate infidels and to reject them, to take away their humanity and to get them ready for Jihad, so that they can (and will) kill 'unbelievers wherever they find them...
etc.etc.

Wonder why they had to be explicit about "she-camels" Did Mohammed expect "he-camels" to produce milk, or did he think his followers would mistake another liquid from "he-camels" as milk? Or do he-camels that have recited the shehada have a special ability that Infidel biologists are unaware of.
Although I'm no smoker, somehow Joe-camel doesn't sound so bad.

What is the use of reforming text books in saudi arabia. In every madrasa (most mosques have a informal one at least) this is taught. Throughout the world, it is taught that Humans are apes, and pigs and fit for a painful death.
The whole implicatoin here is that there is something wrong with pigs, and I resent that.

InfidelPride, We had a light moment here in Israel about 12 years ago. For your info, an Arab farmer in Samaria found that one of his billygoats actually had one udder. And he was able to milk the billygoat. Who was a billygoat like other billygoats, except that he had that one udder. So the farmer milked him. Arab men came from all over to this guy's farm and he would milk the billygoat into a plastic cup, from which the customer would drink and --according to the customers' expectations-- the billygoat's milk would improve their virility. This was before Viagra or maybe not. The farmer charged something like ten sheqels per cup, about two dollars at that time, I believe. This billygoat was the gander who laid the golden egg.
And the story is true.

There was another one like this a few years back in the M.E. A bedouin found a goat with 'allah' written on it (like in icecream last month) and muslims from all over came to see it and to buy it. But the bedouin did not sell this goat since he wanted to be the one to saw off its head at eid. Did it too.

Usually animals produce milk only after they have reproduced. Was the Arab in question sure that it was milk he was selling? If not, don't tell them - what his customers didn't know didn't (and won't) hurt them.

Infidelpride, it sure looked to me on the TV films like milk, like the same milk that comes from a nanny-goat. It did not look like any male liquid that we are all familiar with. I do not believe that our billygoat ever reproduced in the female way, but Allah treats his beasts in manifold way.
More seriously, al.pigfarmer mentions the Jewish tribes in ancient Medina. I remember once at a lecture at Temple Univ in Philadelphia, USA, that Prof. Ismail Faruqi, John Esposito's mentor, and a former district governor in Israel ["palestine"] under the British mandatory rule [if I'm not mistaken], alluded to the fate of those tribes. He was asked a question from the audience about a recent Judeophobic incident in Iraq shortly before his lecture, when a dozen or so Jews, and a few Arabs, were hanged in Baghdad. His answer was: We could have destroyed you at the time of Muhammad, but we didn't do so. This response seems to have been meant to demonstrate Muslim tolerance and magnanimity, at least towards Jews. Like, We ain't antisemites!!

Even I never worried about such a goat. But the point is, if any Christian or Hindu got hold of a creature that, by the fluke of genetics, had a fur of brown over white that resembled either the Cross or the Om, no matter how illiterate that person was, he would feed it and take care of it, considering it as a creature sent from God. I hardly envision such a creature to be dragged to a altar/temple and its head sawn off in such a case. muslims are absolute zombies and all that they want is pain and sorrow. Any excuse (in this case a genetic one) will do.
