Philippines: MP proposes Islamic University to "promote peace"

Will the dhimmis fall for it? "Filipino MP Proposes Islamic University," from IslamOnline, with thanks to Fjordman:

MANILA — A Muslim legislator is championing a proposal for the creation of a state-run Islamic university in the largely Catholic Philippines.

"It will bring about peace because it will bring about the consciousness of Islamic values. Remember, real Islam shuns violence. This is what we need to nurture and foster today," Rep. Faysah Dumarpa, a member of the lower house of Congress, told IslamOnline.net.

Dumarpa believes the establishment of the first ever Islamic university would send a positive message to the country's estimated 10 million Muslims.

"It will boost the morale of the Filipino Muslims who have been depicted as violent, as terrorists, as fighters."

But what will it do for the morale of non-Muslims who have been victimized by the jihad of those Filipino Muslims?

Is this "Peace" as in "Submission".

Remember, real Islam shuns violence.

No, Islam is based on violence, murder, rape, pedophilia, robbery, and lies.

And it hasn't changed.

I never thought the day would come when Phillipines could use another Ferdinand Marcos.

I never thought the day will come when I would welcome back a Stalin, just to get rid of this pernicious islamic creed.

Well it hasnt happened yet, but I reckon if this goes on much further (see below), I would welcome a dictator.

It is an example of the depths that the BBC has sunk to.

Per the CIA factbook, there are 5% Muslims in the Phillipenes. This is around 4.5 million people. Considering the fecundity of the Catholic Filipino people in the US I sincerely doubt they are expanding so quickly there.

An Islamic University... Wouldn't that otherwise be known as a training camp?

"Filipino Muslims who have been depicted as violent, as terrorists, as fighters."

Sounds like an accurate perception.

"Real Islam shuns violence..." but it sure loves submission & slavery.

Another memorable candidate in the bridge for sale department.

Of course the opposite is true, an increase in Islam and teachings of Islam leads to an increase in the demand for Sharia which leads to an increase inviolence, and intolerance .

It's simple just use the lanquage of economics. An increase in Islam leads to an increase in violence and social disruption and over the long run, entropy and stagnation.

I'm really shocked that Saudi Arabia hasn't already built an Islamic University but wait a minute, why must it be "Islamic?" Why can't they have Saudi funded Middle East/Islamic Studies departments in their existing universities like in the United States and all over the world? Will only muslims be admitted to an "Islamic" university? That wouldn't be fair if muslims are allowed to attend state universities.

I think this idea sucks for several reasons and it is just another attempt to segregate muslims from mainstream society and further radicalize them, compliments of the taxpayers. If they want their own school, they should build it with their own money. If it is built, regardless of who builds it, the Wahabbis will end up in charge.
