A new essay from the insightful European writer Fjordman, who deserves all of our support:
Note from Fjordman: It is now more than a year and a half since I started writing essays and posts under the name Fjordman. I have so far never asked for donations, but I am now reaching a point where some financial contributions may be necessary for me to continue doing this. I will be posting at least six or seven more essays over the coming three weeks. However, I have plans for at least a dozen longer essays after this, provided I have the time and financial opportunity to write them. The essays will be dealing with why I find a Reformation of Islam unlikely to happen, why the work of many self-appointed Muslim reformists is inadequate, why Islam probably cannot be reconciled with democracy and how the West should deal with these facts. All of these essays will, if possible, be finished during the fall of 2006 and the winter of 2006/2007. Many of them will be published first here at Jihad Watch, some of them at the Gates of Vienna and republished at Faith Freedom International and other websites. All of my online essays can be republished for free by anybody who wants to, as long as credit is given to the author. Any financial donation, which can be given here, will be greatly appreciated, and should be considered as payment in advance for future essays.I have seen so many lies and half-truths by Western mainstream media exposed in the blogosphere, especially related to Islam, that I no
longer trust them for information. Leading bloggers such as Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs recently demonstrated this by showing how photos distributed by international news service Reuters from Lebanon had been grossly manipulated to make Israel look bad. Blogger Zombie argued, in a very convincing way, that the story about Israel deliberately targeting ambulances in Lebanon was full of holes, quite possibly a complete fabrication. It proves how easily, willingly, many Western journalists believe every piece of nonsense Muslims feed them, as long as it's directed against Israel, the United States or the West in general.
I do read traditional media still, and it would be a lie to say that I never get any useful information from them, but in general, I read them mainly to know what information they are feeding the general public, those who still haven't switched to the Internet to follow what's happening in the world. Here are some of my notes from Norwegian media during August 2006. I suspect many of the trends described here are pretty similar throughout Western Europe. The number one local issue of discussion in Norway this month has been the reactions to the editorial "God's chosen people," published in newspaper Aftenposten by famous author Jostein Gaarder in reaction to Israel's military actions in southern Lebanon, to protect itself against attacks by Iran and Syria through their puppet organization Hezbollah.Gaarder became rich by writing the novel "Sophie's World," which doubles as a guide to the history of Western philosophy and has sold tens of millions of copies around the world. His editorial has been strongly denounced as anti-Semitic by some, but also received support from many. "I must admit that the reactions have been stronger than I expected," Mr. Gaarder said, and confirmed that he had been frightened by this. "I have said it countless times and I can repeat it again: I am a humanist, not an anti-Semite."
In the article, Gaarder argued that the State of Israel "will have no peace before it lays down its arms." "Israel is history. We no longer
recognize the State of Israel. There is no way back. The State of Israel has raped the world's recognition and will not receive peace before it lays down its weapons." "We don't believe in the concept of God's chosen people. We laugh at this people's fancies and weep over their misdeeds. To present themselves as God's chosen people is not just stupid and arrogant, but a crime against humanity. We call it racism." "There are limits to our patience, and there are limits to our tolerance..."Culture journalist Mona Levin considered the editorial to be "the nastiest thing I have read since [Adolf Hitler's] "Mein Kampf." Gaarder makes it easy for himself, there is nothing that can not be said about Jews today. The same people who would not draw Mohammed out of respect for Muslims can safely say things like this about Jews and Israel without receiving death threats. "It is a shame that a presumably intelligent person calls the Ten Commandments "amusing stone tablets" and kicks away at what both the Christian and Jewish civilizations are built upon," Levin said.
Another much-debated topic in Norwegian media during the same period was an unprecedented rape wave in the capital city of Oslo. "We have seen a dramatic increase [in the number of rapes]," said Endre Sandvik, head of the emergency ward. The number of rapes in Oslo this summer was more than twice as high as it was last year. Brit Opjordsmoen from DIXI, support centre for rape victims, stated in a questions and answers session with Aftenposten's readers that they don't know what percentage of these rapes are committed by people with immigrant background, and that most of these speculations are just "prejudice."
With all due respect, I'm pretty sure that's incorrect, since I've been writing about and documenting this issue for so long that I'm almost getting tired of the subject. The situation is even worse in neighboring Sweden.
Aftenposten have conveniently enough forgotten an article they printed five years ago. In 2001, two out of three charged with rape in Norway's capital were immigrants with a non-western background. Another Norwegian newspaper, Dagbladet, quoted Unni Wikan, a female professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo as saying that "Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes" because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. One reason for the high number of rapes by Muslims was that in their native countries "rape is scarcely punished," since Muslims "believe that it is women who are responsible for rape." The professor's conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but that "Norwegian women must realize that we live in a multicultural society and adapt themselves to it."
The number of rapes, muggings and assaults committed by Muslim immigrants in Western countries is so extremely high that it is difficult to view this only as random acts of individuals. It resembles warfare. German journalist Gudrun Eussner considers this to be "sexuality as a weapon against disobedient and non-Muslim women, both categorized as "unbelievers". Against them jihad is the duty, and what to do with women "conquered" in jihad, this may be read in the Qur'an: they become slaves to be used by the victors."
French filmmaker Pierre Rehov states that: "A friend of mine is a retired chief of police, who used to be in charge of the security of a major city in the south of France. He reported to me that his men had to face an average of 10 rapes a week, 80% made by Muslim young men. According to Rehov, "I can see in any raping of a non-Muslim woman by a Muslim male a racist action, and it is high time for us to acknowledge and condemn it. The level of contempt towards non-Muslim women is the reflection of the level of hatred towards the society which creates equality between men and women."
American columnist Victor Davis Hanson noticed how "the Western press -- usually so careful to condemn hate speech -- is utterly silent about Arab racism. But a European paper recently published a cartoon portraying Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert as a Nazi, secure that no rabbi would issue threats that could cost the editors their heads."
The newspaper he was referring to was Norway's left-leaning, pro-Multicultural Dagbladet, whose cartoonist Finn Graff published a cartoon depicting Israel's PM Olmert as a Nazi concentration camp commander. The scene came from the movie Schindler's List, in which the commander shoots down a Jew from his balcony. Finn Graff declared only half a year earlier that he would not draw a cartoon of Muhammad out of fear and "respect." At about the same time, a Jew was assaulted by Arabs in the streets of Oslo. In response, the Mosaic Community in Oslo sent out a recommendation to its members to leave the kippah at home, or cover it under a cap. It was also warning its members against speaking Hebrew in public.
There are two ways one can interpret this. Newspapers Aftenposten and Dagbladet have both forgotten that they have themselves previously written about the close connection between Muslim immigration, violence and rape. They are thus at best guilty of extremely poor and incompetent journalism. I find this highly unlikely, however, which leaves only one likely conclusion: Leading Norwegian newspapers know that many of the rapes we now are witnessing in Oslo - and in Sweden, France, Holland and the UK - are related to Muslim immigration, but deliberately choose not to write about this and concentrate instead on demonizing Israel and the USA. I don't think they should get away with this, which is why I keep repeating this issue.
Aftenposten can thus publish an article saying that "Israel is raping the world," but refuse to mention which religious group is committing actual rapes in their own country. Dagbladet can print cartoons comparing the Israeli PM to Nazi leaders, but "forget" to mention that Nazi literature such as Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf is widely popular in even "moderate" Islamic countries such as Turkey. We wouldn't want to fuel Islamophobia, would we?
This is a powerful indication that the Islamization of Western Europe is proceeding apace, and that the anti-Semitism and "Palestinianism" found in Arab media is increasingly adopted by European media, just as described by Bat Ye'or in her work about Eurabia. The scary part is that physical or verbal attacks on Jews or de-legitimization of the state of Israel are spreading to countries were Jews were previously safe, such as the USA and Canada.
No, I was not thinking of Hollywood star actor Mel Gibson, who during an arrest for drunken driving said, "The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world," and asked the arresting officer, "Are you a Jew?" Australian actress Nicole Kidman and other leading Hollywood figures such as Michael Douglas, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis paid a full page advertisement in the Los Angeles Times newspaper condemning "terrorist organisations" such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Palestinian Hamas, thus proving that there is still intelligent life left in Hollywood.
Far worse is that columnist Richard Cohen wrote in the Washington Post that "The greatest mistake Israel could make at the moment is to forget that Israel itself is a mistake." Luckily, some individuals such as Canada's Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper still have their judgment intact. Harper stated that Israel's military action against Hezbollah guerrillas was a "measured response" only a day after Israel sent its forces into Lebanon. Historically, Canada's Jewish voters have stood with the Liberal party or left-of-centre parties. This could change, according to Conrad Winn, head of Compas research firm. "Right-wing voters are more favorable to Israel and Jews than left-wing liberals," which could make the Conservative party more appealing to mainstream Jewish voters.
On July 28 2006, on the eve of the Jewish sabbath, a Muslim terrorist of Pakistani origins named Naveed Afzal Haq forced a 14-year-old girl to get him into the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle building by holding a gun to her back. Haq killed one woman and injured five others. Eye-witnesses reports stated that Haq announced, "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry with Israel." To a 911 dispatcher, Haq announced: "I want these Jews to get out. … I'm upset at your foreign policy. These are Jews. I'm tired of getting pushed around."
In August, a plot to stage perhaps the largest terror attacks since September 11th 2001 was uncovered. British authorities arrested a number of people, many of them Muslims born in Britain, some of them of Pakistani origins, in what they said was a scheme to blow up as many as 10 jetliners flying from Britain to the United States. "The scale is immense. Inquiries will span the globe," one police statement said. Pakistan's Daily Times reported that an Islamic charity organization transferred "a huge amount" of money to the UK terror plotters — and called it "earthquake relief."
At the same time, German authorities discovered a plot by Islamic Jihadists to blow up several trains in Germany. "I have always said we are threatened by terrorism, and the threat has never been so near," Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble told, calling the case "unusually serious." The month before, Islamic radicals with suspected Pakistani links had set off a series of seven bombs on the Suburban Railway in Mumbai, India's financial capital, killing or injuring hundreds of people.
In Norway, a shoot-out between two Pakistani gangs one crowded Sunday evening at Oslo's popular waterfront complex Aker Brygge left two men wounded. These gangs are so violent that the police are scared of dealing with them. Newspaper VG reported that a policeman had to run for his life from an angry crowd of Pakistanis. The plainclothes policeman was hit in the face and told to leave the Furuset shopping center. VG has found out that he was told that it was none of his business being in this area, and that a gang of young men had basically defined Furuset as their turf and didn't accept "intruders." Norwegian authorities have thus already lost control over significant chunks of their own capital city.
Peaceful rallies denouncing Islamic terrorism or supporting Israel have repeatedly been physically attacked by groups of Muslim immigrants. Newspaper editors complain that much of the public debate has been moved to anonymous debates on the Internet. We are now leaving the rule of law and entering the rule of the mob. This was also what happened with the Brown Shirts in Nazi Germany. Those controlling the streets could very well end up controlling the entire country.
Norway's new center for Holocaust Studies opened in Villa Grande, the former home of Vidkun Quisling, the Norwegian Nazi collaborator who was executed by firing squad for high treason following WW2. The HL-Center (The Center for Studies of Holocaust and Religious and Life Stance Minorities) tries to embrace the examination of all types of prejudiced persecution, but with a special emphasis on Jews during WW2. That's great. But it would have been even better had it not been at a time when Jews, and indeed Christian Norwegians, are assaulted because of their ethnic and religious background, and when several Norwegian public figures are actively cheering for Hezbollah, Iran and forces who want to wipe out the Jewish state of Israel, the refuge for the survivors of the previous Holocaust.
Meanwhile, the King of Norway took part in commemorating Pakistan's "Independence Day," at the same time as Pakistani gangs were harassing his own people. King Harald failed to mention the struggle of Samira Munir, politician of Pakistani origins, who was found dead under strange circumstances in November 2005. Munir received repeated death threats for her fight against the veil and for the liberty of Muslim women. She was even pressured by Pakistan's ambassador to Norway on several occasions. Earlier in 2006, there were calls for translating Norway's national anthem into Urdu, since this would be "good for integration." Bruce Bawer in his book "While Europe Slept" describes how there are now more direct flights from Norway to Pakistan than from Norway to the USA. It shows.
It could be useful to reflect on exactly what kind of nation some of our leading politicians are "celebrating." Let's quote the writings of
former Muslim Anwar Shaikh on the establishment of Pakistan:"I regret to say that 1947 was the darkest period of my life. We were told that murdering the non-Muslims, seducing their wives, burning their properties, was an act of Jihad, that is Holy War. And Jihad is the most sacred duty of a Muslim."
"I actually prayed and then I took up a club, and a long knife and I went out in search of non-Muslims. Those days were remembered for the curfew orders and everybody seemed terrified of everybody else. I found two men, Sikhs, father and son […] I killed both of them. Next day I did not go to work, I felt nauseated but I wanted to kill some more non-Muslims. I encountered another Sikh at Darabi Road & I killed him too. Often memories of those terrible days haunt my mind, I feel ashamed, and many a times have I shed tears of remorse. If it had not been for my fanaticism, engendered by the Islamic traditions those people might have been alive even today. And I might not have felt the guilt which I still do."
Apologists would claim that the violence between Muslims and non-Muslims in India was "mutual." Well, it started because the Muslims wanted a Pakistan, a "land of the pure" cleansed of non-Muslims. While India still has a huge Muslim population that enjoys greater political freedom and a better economic position than Muslims in Pakistan or Bangladesh, Hindus, Sikhs and Christians have been virtually eradicated in Pakistan. The few remaining non-Muslims suffer from brutal, daily persecution, as do Pakistani women, in a country that has become one of the most important global centres of Islamic terrorism. Yet hardly anybody in the Western press ever denounces Pakistan as an "apartheid state." That is a term exclusively reserved for Israel, where the significant number of Muslim citizens, just as in India, have a better political and economic standing than Muslims in neighboring states.
In Norway, it is probably unprecedented in the thousand years since the city of Oslo was founded at the end of the Viking Age that the indigenous population is being attacked on such a large and random scale. And the government is doing… well, pretty much nothing really, except for hiding the problem as much as possible and continuing Muslim immigration. This isn't good enough.
We are tired of hearing nonsense about "Islamophobia" while our children live in fear of Islamic terrorism. The purpose of the state
is to uphold law and order and maintain the nation's borders and territorial integrity. Western European governments are doing neither, yet are busy with political censorship and interfering with details of our private lives where they have no business. It's time they are reminded that they are our servants, not our rulers. There was a common joke in the old Soviet Union that "We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us." Since the authorities in the European Union now merely pretend to uphold law and order and take care of our interests, maybe Europeans should merely pretend to pay taxes?
Author Jostein Gaarder became a wealthy man by writing about the history of Western thinking for 2500 years, from Socrates to Spinoza.
He apparently understood very little of what he was writing, since he fails to grasp that every single achievement of Western thought is now under threat by the very same Islamic forces that are bragging about their plans to destroy Israel. It is often said that the West is a Judeo-Christian civilization. I know that there are some people who contest this term, and that not all Jews or Christians share this feeling of connection. I do not think it is a cliché. The modern history of Western civilization would be unthinkable without its Jewish component. It is thus our own identity and survival as a civilization that is under threat from Iran and Hezbollah, not just Israel's.
The first rule for dhimmis, non-Muslims living under the apartheid regime of Islamic sharia, is that they should be unarmed and submissive to their Muslim masters. Even some Hamas members have stated that they may be willing to accept Jews living in their society, as long as they accept their subjugation and inferior status. Muslims may not like Jews in general, but they first of all hate armed Jews. Christians in the West should notice that exactly the same rules
apply to Christians as well. When Gaarder argues that Israel "will have no peace before it lays down its arms," he is doing exactly the same thing as Islamic Jihadists, who demand that non-Muslims lay down their weapons and accept Islamic rule, or face annihilation. I'm not sure whether Mr. Gaarder is aware of the fact that this goes for himself, too.Is this why Europeans hate Israelis so much? Because they fight Islamic supremacy whereas we seem to meekly accept our future dhimmi status?
We only have the moral right to defend ourselves against Islamization if we give the same rights to Israelis. It is the same religious group
that is harassing non-Muslim in European cities, that wants to blow up planes over American cities and is murdering Buddhist teachers in southern Thailand. It is high time we acknowledge this. Israel is not the aggressor, it is a brave little nation making up the frontline in an Islamic war that is increasingly spanning the globe. First, they came for the Jews, then they came for everybody else, the story of yet another world war.

Great article Fjordman. On a Sunday morning a few weeks ago, whilst Israel was under attack by Hizbollah, I turned on the television and caught the end of a programme called the Heaven and Earth show, where they were talking about Israel, and one of the guests mentioned "one of the mistakes made in the last century". If only he had been promptly asked what that mistake might have been, but we can guess pretty accurately what he meant.

Perspective is everything and without the facts we are lost. For this we have to thank our friend Fjordman and support him.
Make no mistake this essay points out the harsh situation that we are facing here in America in the future, if not now. The jihadi moslems are here, making the same claims they have made in Europe. It is only a matter of time before we see similar developments here. Our situation is further complicated by the level of illegal aliens immigrating to America.
I think we need to throw moslems out of this country to make safe this country from a belief system that is a mere cult. I would have no problem if the politically correct (read that 'hamstringed') authorities move to boot these people out. If they can't, then the people will. The Monroe Doctrine ought to apply to America itself.
While it would be nice if there were a grand alliance among non-moslim peoples to this problem, American can go it alone. But we must act now.

Very well-written, Fjordman.
You cited Rehov. Here's something, slightly OT, from Rehov that also may be of interest to you (re Palestinian suicide bombers):
Interview with Pierre Rehov, French filmaker on Intifada [MSNBC]15 Aug 2006
You also stated:
"Canada's Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper still have their judgment intact. Yes, Harper and his government have taken a reasonable view, in my opinion. Peter MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has referred to Hizballah as "cold-blooded murderers"--that's about the strongest phrase I've heard from any politician in Canada in reference to Hizballah. In fact, the previous Liberal (left of centre) government had not listed Hizballah as a terrorist organization. It was not until earlier this year that the new Conservative government listed Hizballah as a terrorist organization. A Liberal MP resigned amid controversy after having claimed that we (international community) should negotiate with Hizballah.

Archimedes--That Liberal MP didn't resign from Parliament. He resigned as deputy foreign affairs critic. And he still thinks Canada should "talk" to Hezbollah's political wing (which he insists is distinct from Hezbollah's "military" wing) since that's the only way forward to peace.

Fjordman describes Muslim Pakistani gangs taking over certain areas of the capital city of Norway:
"These gangs are so violent that the police are scared of dealing with them. Newspaper VG reported that a policeman had to run for his life from an angry crowd of Pakistanis. The plainclothes policeman was hit in the face and told to leave the Furuset shopping center. VG has found out that he was told that it was none of his business being in this area, and that a gang of young men had basically defined Furuset as their turf and didn't accept "intruders." Norwegian authorities have thus already lost control over significant chunks of their own capital city."
This description is a microcosm of our problem in this sense: it describes not the strength of those Muslims, but rather the weakness of the Infidels. The Norwegian police could easily overpower those gangs, if there were the political wit & will supporting them.
In macrocosm, it's the same story all over the West, including America. We could easily stem, and reverse, the tide of the threat of Islamic Jihad on all levels if we had the will and the wits to do it now.
The War in Iraq is another example: in those first few weeks after the remarkable takeover of Iraq by the US and Coalition forces, if we had been able to fight like a Patton, we would have been out of there in a matter of months, and not have to be there now.
Sooner or later, the West will have to fight like a Patton. It will have to be later, because of the PC Multiculturalist template that governs all Western countries and all Western societies. And that will likely cause horrific, avoidable tragedies.

The situation is probably worse than is thought.
It seems to be the consensus of Jihad Watchers, LGFers, and FReepers, that the problem lies with the left and liberals.
This is pure b.s. I invite posters to peruse the following Link
and others on that forum, outside of the obvious Muslims, the overwhelming and vast majority of pro Islamic posters there are "Right Wing" Christians. Right wing because they too are "obsessed" with family values, anti feminist, anti abortion, anti homosexual.. in a word indistinguishable from Falwell, Robertson and others on the "right" with one exception..Israel and the Jews.. and no they aren't NAZI's, albeit there are a number of skinheads that frequent that sight.
It is almost amusing to watch a NAZI fling around the word Zionazi.
Flinging epithets in lieu of argument is du jour these days, but what else can one expect from people who lack enough gray cells to rub together to create a thought of their own.
Not to long ago, Hugh mentioned The Fourteen Defining Characteristics of Fascism
Well click on the link, do some introspective soul searching and read and weep.. many (too many so called conservatives) are proto fascists, only a small step behind the genuine full blown fascists of Islam.

I fear that in Europe Christianity, Judaism, indeed all religion, is considered idiotic. The agnostic humanists have risen above the belief thing. They are reaping the results of abandoning the Faith and relegating it to some official sort of status (as in GBritain).
My guess is that the hapless heirs of Judaeo-Christian culture - and morals - consider their new Muslim populations to be mere primitive religious "disadvantaged" minorities, who will eventually blend in, discard their quaint folkways (quran, sharia, haddith) and enjoy all that western civilization has to offer.
IMO, western civilization cut off from a living, convinced, spiritual life of faith has NOTHING to offer and will be easily conquered.
Maybe the descendents of Sobieski will come to the rescue (if they manage to keep the faith in the ever-enticing world of Euro-blandness)
My advice is for all who care, to read your Bibles, go to your churches and temples and synagogues, pray your rosaries, bless your Sabbath, keep your feasts and fasts. The allies of Islam are not necessary the neo-cons nor the liberals. It is those who have cast aside their own heritage.
at August 24, 2006 5:43 PM
Nariz, I read the 14 issues concerning drift to fascism. I agree, but it isn't so simple. After 911, or after the next 'worse' attack, then what?
Take wiretapping on one's own civilians. I resent that it sometimes has to be done. Are we really drifting though? Despite what Justin "some of my best friends are Jewish . . . I just hate Israel and right wing Jews" Raimando calls 'red state fascism.' Ah, yes. the evil, pernicious policies of the dark one Cheney and the dim one Bush. But, Nariz, I think this fascism 'threat' is bunk. At least so far.
Compare the 'draconian' Limbaugh, Bush, Cheney et all with the daily NYT exposes of enroaching freedoms being trampled with secret wiretaps with or without FISA court supervision. What are we really talking about? Islamists talking trash to their 'brothers'? That's fascism.
Come one. Define. Prove. It isn't enough to say, "oh, the right wing Christians are nuts. Oh, the conservatives are crypto nazis."
Seems to me nothing the "evil" right wing or "red state fascists" have done since 911 HAS APPROACHED the internment of a multitude of Japanese in detention centers during world war II. How about the "yellow menace" which led headlines in world war II? I don't see internment camps, and when there is overt racism(Mel Gibson, Rev Al or whomever) it is usually condemed. Blacks are no longer lynched or overtly discriminated against. Interracial couples barely cause pedestrians eyes to focus . . . here in Arkansas--the exalted home of the confederacy.
All of these things are signs of progress. Views on same sex marriages . . . polls show a growing minority acceptance, especially among the young, racial hatred among blacks and white evolving in a positive direction.
Perhaps we live in different countries, but I just don't see the fascism. Even amongst the hard right wing, there is lingering doubt and protest about the patriot act and wiretapping(Bob Barr et al).
You miss the whole 'point.' It is not how bad or fascistic we are, or how divided we are, or how intolerant some are. The sad truth is that are tolerance itself breeds us 'open' to attack, 'naive' concerning Islam.
Of course, with enough attacks, or possibly the "right" form of attack, we could see overt fascistic directions. I'm sick of airport security. I'm sick of focusing on national security. But I refuse to point the finger at myself or my country. It is not just a matter of 'my country, right or wrong,' although I believe it to be true; it is a matter of an alien religious influence trampling on our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness . . . as each of us define the terms!
The true nature of the beast is not our inherent fascism, but rather the fascistic, dictatorial nature of Islam. Before it can be contained, it must be understood.

Nariz: would you please stop singing the everlasting same song? Do you have anything, anything at all, else, to say, than your absurd contention that conservatives are dhimmier than liberals? Nobody is listening any more. You come under the heading of inevitable nuisances. And if you think that anything you say can make us change our minds, I suggest you reflect on why Norway is in worse danger than almost any other country. It is because the creatures that pretend to govern it are the most atrocious worshippers of Political Correctness on the face of the planet. They have stopped even pretending that they are about anything else. They are the same moronic excuse for a government that intends to force all companies to have a minimum of 40% of women on the board. What good that would do, God knows; but it is PC, and therefore the Norwegian politicians want it.

I clicked on the 'Any financial donation, which can be given here', with 'here' in green, and was greeted by Paypal something. I don't know anything about Paypal and am worried about financial transactions through it. If I wasn't worried, I couldn't figure it out anyways.
Is there some P.O. Box in Undisclosedville, Scandinavia to send cash?

Paypal is safe. It is possible to be too paranoid - honest. The people I work for use Paypal and a more level headed bunch of people you simply couldn't find. Because of that I signed up my own proto-business to Paypal also and I'm completely happy about the security and the confidentiality.

Bravo Fjordman, if Europe is saved it will be because of men such as you!
I will gladly contribute to your fund.
When you write and fight for Europeans, you also fight for my children too!
Fjordman all it will take are a few good men to wake up the peoples of Europe, to resist this Islamic invasion.
Fight! Fjordman Fight! and God bless.

It doesn't matter whether we are right or left, socialist or consevative, neo-con or neo-com. Here, on this site, we are following an argument put forward by Mr. Spencer about the imperialistic, cultural and religious supremalistic, traits of islam. We can sort out all the rest later: for the moment our one task - the banner behind which all of us ought to be able to unite - is the defeat of the supremacist, imperialist, racist and fascist ideology of islam.
I know that I have been as guilty as others of advancing what we franglais speakers call 'les canards gris' on many an occassion. For that I am truly sorry but sometimes, as I am sure you all have experienced, there is an overwhelming urge to be contrary; I can't help it - I can't see an argument without wanting to challenge it - even if I don't believe in the challenge. I'll try hard, and probably fail, not to do it again.
Right or left, democrat or communist, capitalist or socialist, man or woman, gay or straight, Christian of Hindu, Jew or Taoist our enemy is islam. Everything that we stand for, every freedom which we hold dear, every moment of our lives and experiences as free creatures of God (or accidental secular beings - no judgement implied) is negated, vilified and rendered as nought, by islam.
Our reason, and our power to reason, is denied and brought low by the very existence in our societies of people whose sole aim is to deny reason and confuse our hard-won and hard-thought certainties by and with their primitive belief in a devil-worshipping death-cult - namely islam.
D**n it, I know how 'La Passionaria' felt when she said, in Paris (a speech, I think, in September of 'thirty-six) "It is better to die on your feet than live on your knees".
However, as an Englishman at least I have Yeats (an Irishman? How confusing!): "Red Rose, proud rose, sad rose of all my days!". But then, I suppose that only a very, very few of you will know the wealth of meanings, ah, so very, very many, many meanings, in that one, short quote. Lose? Perhaps we've lost already. Win? As long as one of us is alive and remembers the rose.

I think this multicultural fetish and the muslim demographic tsunami are paving the way for a genuine rightist emergence in Europe. A blood and soil party, complete with uniforms, weird salutes, beirkeller songs and street thuggery.
The suicidal policies of the Left are laying the foundations for blood running in rivulets down European streets.
Recall, it was the emergence of pathological communism that enabled Hitler to come to the fore. Without the communists, he would have remained unknown to history.
The Europeans may believe that they will be able to make arrangements, in short, surrender, without the actual trappings of surrender, {you know, trains at Compiegne}, and thus procure some sort of via media with the muslims. The muslims are going to be so cocky, so euphoric, possessed of such swagger, that the gang rapes will run into the hundreds of thousands, and the pillaging of shops and stores will recall to mind Kristalnacht.
Those poor fools haven't a clue what awaits them.
And at that time, when the numbers of muslims far exceed the police force, and only ordering the military into the streets will restore calm, the Europeans WON'T have sufficient military power to restore order, to restore their control of their own nations. Right now, the muslims are roughly at parity in a good number of the large cities, {for men of fighting age, so to speak}. So if it came down to citizens actually having to fight for control of their streets, block by block, Europeans would already have problems, {ISN'T THIS AN ABSOLUTELY SURREAL discussion to be having....}.
The whole damn thing is bizarre, brain dead, whifty, whacky and beyond the pale. And this has all happened within a few decades.
Where is Europe going to be in a couple of decades?
The Western alliance is already dead and buried. The French foreign policy that so bewilders us, is simply the French government trying their damnedest to purchase peace on their streets. The French are already compromised. And that compromise reveals itself in their diplomatic jihad they wage against us.

Fifty years ago Europe overcame one of the darkest moments in its history by destroying the demonic Nazi mindset. Today, we face a greater demonic force and Eurabians are not spiritually motivated to fight the enemy. I feel sad for my continent, and for my people, but I sometimes wonder if we really deserve to be saved from Islamic demonism.
Europe needs a spiritual awakening bkz without that, nothing will happen. We must get back to our old values, and we must LOVE to be europeans, and be proud of our roots. We must love the things that made european culture the dominant culture in the world (USA has european culture).
But....do we want to do that?

Very well said, Mr. Fjordham. My compliments to you and please keep up your excellent work.
In view of the problem so eloquently described in the above, I post the following, which I first posted on another thread, because I've resolved never to miss an opportunity, if I can avail it, to pound home my point on this. (Be aware though, readers that I've modified what I originally said on China in light of a response from a poster named Damon Perry, who spent several years living there, and I've made some other adjustments based on this new context), because given what we're told here by Mr. Fjordham, reinforced so well by Dan, I'm convinced that indeed, we must start preparing ourselves, psychologically, spiritually and materially, for another world war to defeat this thing. Here, then, are my original thoughts with some modifications:
The whole world has its problems with Islam. I decided to do some checking up on the recent history of the Muslims in China and, lo and behold, what did I find but the following statements, courtesy of the Islamic website "everymuslim.com" and Al-Islaah Publications!
"[The Chinese Muslims] actively struggled against communists before and after the revolution. In fact, in 1953, the Muslims revolted twice in an effort to establish an independent Islamic state [in regions where Muslims were an overwhelming majority]. These revolts were brutally suppressed by Chinese military force followed by the liberal use of anti-Muslim propaganda"
and
"Since religious freedom was declared in 1978, the Chinese Muslims have not wasted time in expressing their convictions. There are now some 28,000 mosques in the entire People's Republic of China, with 12,000 in the province of Xinjiang. In addition, there is a large number of imams available to lead the Muslim community (in Xinjiang alone there are over 2,800).
There has been an increased upsurge in Islamic expression in China, and many nationwide Islamic associations have been organized to coordinate inter-ethnic activities among Muslims"
and, finally
"As always, the Muslims have refused to be silenced. Several large demonstrations have been staged by Muslims to protest intrusions on Muslim life. Last year, for instance, Muslims staged a massive protest rally in Beijing to demand the removal of anti-Islamic literature from China's bookstores"
Now its possible that the Communist leadership will be willing to "cut off its nose to spite its face", by continuning to indulge this population as another weapon in its ideological war with the West, but on the other hand, given that regime's paranoia about the growth of groups that could threaten its power and the repressive measures it was willing to take even against the Falun Gong sect (!), I wonder if there isn't a weakness here that the West should exploit.
What I know for sure is that China is not the only Asian nation that either currently faces its own Islamic threat, or that could face one in the future, and, one should hope, could be persuaded to face that reality head on and be willing to be part of a wider action to head it off now, before it starts, rather than risk being caught later in a situation such as Europe's at present, when it will be so much more difficult to control. Consider that even the Phillipians has had its own insurgency by the 5% of its population that wants to set up their own Shari'a state. Surely the Russians' troubles with the Chechens and others is another case in point, and we should not fail to remind them of the appalling Beslan massacre.
Now that the August 22 threat seems to have passed, we should not let down our guard, nor cease to prepare for the future that may be coming. In another thread, I waged a heated battle with the poster using the name August22 over the issue of whether to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran, in which I argued for a calm, "wait and see" approach before doing anything, even using some arguments that I would not normally have relied on. I was motivated here by a sense of desparation of my own to cool the enthusiasm of August22 and others for the deployment of our nukes, simply because one has to recognize that if these weapons are ever used on any significant scale the damage to the world could be so immense, that life itself could cease to exist. So on that page I argued for calm, pointing out that the date could have some other significance, such as the end of the Persian calendar month of Mordad and the end of the year on that calendar. Now it appears that I was probably right about that, but August22 made a number of valid points that I found worthy of consideration, among the best of which, was his observation that it was only by inflicting a massive and unconditional defeat on Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan that we were able to turn them into the model citizens that these countries are today.
That said, the next thing for us to do is to force our Western governments to finally and definitively recognize the threat for what it is and stop speaking of the "war on terror" to call it what it really must be if its going to succeed: a "War on Islam!" And for this to succeed they've got to be willing to take two major steps, the first one beginning immediately if not sooner.
1. Change the permissive laws that have allowed the terrorist threat to emerge from the permanently and innately alienated Islamic immigrants communities in Western countries to end this stupidity, and institute a massive campaign of repression against their Islamic communities, which has to included immediate dismissal of all Muslims from the police, military and other security forces, and even from some professions that have a role in upholding the public good and/or the security of the state. It must be pointed out STRONGLY that such measures are taken not out of some general hatred for Moslems - which must be absolutely and loudly excluded, along with warnings also to the general public not to attempt to "take matters into their own hands" but because if the claim of so many Moslems to be "moderate" and "peaceful" is true (and we're all familiar with the unfortunate concept of dissumulation/"taqqiya" accepted in some Islamic circles), this type of measure is the ONLY thing that will allow them to hold their ground against the innate violence of their own Islamic societies. Western governments must also impose controls over Islamic theology and preaching and begin imposing the same "reform of Islam" that I identify as an essential element of step 2 below. If these measures are are successful in the West, it may not be necesary to take step 2 because this in itself may be a convincing enough demonstration to the Islamic world that we mean business. However, just in case, here it is.
2. Pressure nations such as Russia and China, as well as Japan and all of Latin America, to recognize where there own best interests lie, break any defence pacts and alliances they may have with Islamic nations, and prepare to launch a massive, global crusade like the one that defeated Germany and Japan in the last century, targetting all the Islamic nations that sponsor terror attacks or that have links to threats within our borders. The ones that come to mind are Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, possibly Pakistan, and perhaps before long, Iraq. (It should also be pointed out to them that if this alliance is overly dominated by the U.S. it elevates the likelihood - already a significant worry - that nuclear weapons might be used on a significant scale). "Moderate nations" such as Jordan and Egypt could be left out as long as they behave themselves, but we have to let them know that if they involve themselves, or if they don't get their own militants under control within their own borders, we will step in there too, and do it for them, and even Europe may need help from foreign troops to round up its Islamists and establish control.
Even if the threat of an Iranian attack against Israel appears to have passed for the moment, Iran is almost certain to have nuclear weapons in a few years, and meanwhile, terrorist threats to airliners, subways - even parliaments if the charges in the recent Canadian case are true - continue, and these attacks give us all the reason we need to target these countries, especially the Saudis for an open and clear declaration of war fought according to the classic western traditions of warfare going back to Hoplite Greece - the shortest campaign possible defeating the most massive damage possible on the enemy.
The objective of this war must be nothing less than the total defeat of these nations, and an occupation that entirely breaks the will of the people who have adopted this monstrous ideology (here's where we'll be able to tell at last whether proposals for a "reform of Islam" can really succeed as we'll then be able to force this on them as one of the conditons for reconstruction and enforce it on the ground) and, that accomplished, their rebuilding and rehabilitation as respectable global citizens.

Gawd, let's hope so. But do the Europeans have any fight left in them? If they do, I'll be happy to march with them and pass the ammunition.

I hold great hope for Europe ...these nations were formed , founded and evolved by peoples of Celtic , Nordic and Ayran descent. Forged through generations of hardship , war , famine and at times Political and Religious madnessess. We have interbred for generations , formed alliances , fought each other for politics, greed , trade , religion and at times because we enjoyed it.
We came through the dark ages ,plagues, two world wars and many periods of civil wars and strife.
We have learned to settle our differences at the dimplomatic tables and have allowed the realisation of true values and freedoms. We travel among each other and share similar aspirations for our children.
However I do not forget that Europe has centuries old customs of Warrior Codes and Culture...we have produced at times the most fearsome Warriors ever.
It is my firm belief that these genes still run deep within our Men and Women folk.
It will take great provocation to awaken this call to arms....it is slowly rising this antient bloodlust and when it does ....we like it up close and personal , man to man sword in hand.
Do not awaken our antient Dragons oh Islam
for tis a terrible sight to behold
Faith of our Fathers , Living Still
In Spite of Dungeon , Fire and Sword
