Why can't George W. Bush or Tony Blair say the same things to Muslims in their countries? Anti-dhimmitude in Oz, from the Sunday Herald Sun, with thanks to all who sent this in:
AUSTRALIA'S Muslim leaders have been "read the riot act" over the need to denounce any links between Islam and terrorism. The Howard Government's multicultural spokesman, Andrew Robb, yesterday told an audience of 100 imams who address Australia's mosques that these were tough times requiring great personal resolve. Mr Robb also called on them to shun a victim mentality that branded any criticism as discrimination."We live in a world of terrorism where evil acts are being regularly perpetrated in the name of your faith," Mr Robb said at the Sydney conference.
"And because it is your faith that is being invoked as justification for these evil acts, it is your problem.
"You can't wish it away, or ignore it, just because it has been caused by others.
"Instead, speak up and condemn terrorism, defend your role in the way of life that we all share here in Australia."
Mr Robb said unless Muslims took responsibility for their destiny and tackled the causes of terrorism, Australia would become divided.
Mr Robb, the parliamentary secretary for immigration and multicultural affairs, said it was important for migrants to learn English.
"I see as critical the need for imams to have effective English language skills -- it is a self-evident truth that a shared language is one of the foundations of national cohesion," he said.
On the eve of Mr Robb's release today of a discussion paper on a new citizenship test, the chairman of the Government's Muslim Reference Group, Dr Ameer Ali, said Opposition Leader Kim Beazley's idea of a values test was silly, as was the need for a universal English test.
He called for an orientation program for new migrants akin to a university student's orientation week.
"Silly," eh? So it's not silly to admit a large number of immigrants without making any attempt to determine what they think of the values of their new country, and what they intend to do about the difference between their values and those of that country?
It isn't silly, it's suicidal.

It is nice to see that the Government in the land OZ know what they are doing and have got the testicular equipment and say it as it is, unfortunately the British Government at the movement are still living in Never Never land this has just been printed in the DailMail.
A driver was held in custody for two days for "racist revving"
because a Muslim couple accused him of "revving his car in a racist manner, apparently the revving of the car engine caused them to feel afraid and they felt they were being targeted because they were wearing "ethnic clothing".
The case was dropped due to lack of evidence but Mr Hutton was still charged with "beach of the peace and fined £150.00p.
The complainants, Isam Maigel and Hana Saad said they felt " scared, embarrassed and degraded by the revving engine".
I don't know what is happening but brown lipstick seem to be the preferred shade this year with the Government and its PC minions. Think of the possibilities you child driving his toy pedal car down the street suddenly being arrested by a SWAT team for going brum brum too loudly which had offended the sensitivities of a group of muslims who had just come from loudly picketing the Danish Embassy and demanding the death of all infidels. The mind boggles.

Why did they let muslims in, in the first place?
Did the whole western world, from Australia to Europe to the U.S., suddenly lack manpower for their economies? If so, why didn't the same thing happen in Japan and Latin America? And why muslims? Why not Africans, Chinese, or Hindu's?

Let's hope that this tough stance taken on by the Aussie's is contagious.
We in the rest of the free world, and critically in Europe need these types of actions and now!
God bless the Aussie's for having the guts to say it as it is, and throw the ball back in their court. FO fix your damn problem and join the civilized world, or get lost.

Music to the imams' ears. I'll bet there were a lot of supressed smiles when they heard that remark. Unwittingly, Mr. Robb laid out the game plan for umma-izing Australia.

Excellent speech!
I wonder if now these 100 imams, and that "vast majority" of moderate followers, might now choose to make the jihad a little more subtle. Perhaps I'm merely being suspicious; yet, it's my nature.

This is a good beginning. We need to take on the ideology of the jihadis and undermine the principles motivating their desire for conquest and their "love of death". Telling them to clean up their own house is good, but we should be singing praises to the glory and accomplishments of Western civilization to them all over the world and invite them to join us in the modern era, just as they have invited us back to the 6th century. I have doubts about the Bush Doctrine which appears to focus on military and diplomatic methods. You cannot defeat fanatics this way unless you kill every man, woman and child - something I am not willing to consider as an option. We've often heard this is a "war of ideas". Let's hear someone articulate our side in a language that can reach the average Muslim.

A very good question and one I've posed more than once. It's as if our dopey politicians have just found out that they have blundered. But the idiots who were the architects of this madness have slipped off into retirement with a sackful of taxpayers' cash.
At one time in Oz (1971) 91% of our parents opposed multicultural ideals. What did we get? Multiculturalism and with it muslims. Thanks Hawke, Fraser, Whitlam et al.
