This just in from the British dhimmis who are paving the way for the Islamic Republic of Britain: "Met backs off over Muslim protests," from the Telegraph, with thanks to all who sent this in:
No criminal offences were committed in a Muslim protest over the Pope outside Westminster Cathedral, police have decided.The Metropolitan Police has also decided not to take action against the controversial Muslim figure, Anjem Choudary, who allegedly said in a television interview about the row over the Pope that anyone who insulted the Muslim faith would be "subject to capital punishment".
Police received about 25 complaints from members of the public about the protest, which was said to have left worshippers attending the cathedral on September 17 feeling "upset" and "intimidated"....
However, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Ian Blair, told a meeting of his force's police authority yesterday that, after reviewing the evidence, Scotland Yard officers had concluded that "no substantive offences" were committed during the cathedral demonstration.
Sir Ian said that the cathedral authorities had expressed satisfaction with the policing of the event and added: "We are in an angry time and it is our job in the Met to hold the line on free speech."
David Davies, the shadow home secretary, who called for action to be taken against Mr Choudary, said: "It is quite disgraceful. It sends out a message to Muslim extremists that we, as a country, do not have the moral courage to stand up to them."

Has this happened in the states you could have stood in the same spot, cussed and threatened any non muslim group, sued for millions when you were arrested. The police would settle out of court and you would have a home in Croatia on the beach. You would be reading this post on a laptop while you enjoy your new lifestyle.

People in the United States may say most anything publically, but death threats aren't 'okay' even in the most general terms.
I don't know specifically if you can criminally charge someone in the United States for saying things like 'Catholic believers have a duty to kill all abortion doctors in the U.S.' I don't think that would be considered protected free speech.
'Your rights end at my nose' the old saying goes. The practical application? I can't really say for sure. I'd like to see a True Believer stand up and make threats like that in the United States, have 25 people register complaints and see what the judicial system would do. I don't think they'd simply dismiss the whole matter.

I sincerely hope so too. But whether politicians know what they are doing or not does not matter. It is the effect all this appeasement is having in the country at large, that is the key.
We cant live with continuous insecurity and vigilance for the next 30 years till the Ummah takes charge, and puts us all out of the misery of uncertainty. Things have to come to a head soon or civil life will die anyway. If the people of the West do not do anything, despite all the provocations being thrown at them from Islam, as well as our own politicians, then I'm afraid we deserve what we get.

I have mixed feelings about these incidents.
I guess the first feeling is: I would like to stick a rag in someones mouth that made the remark.
The second one is to put the guy on a soapbox in times square. Give him a bullhorn. Record the scene and play it nightly on the news. It really make "pigs" out of Muslims.

Ok, so does this mean that you can hold up a sign that says "kill all Muslims" ? Well, no. It only works if you're a Muslim. It would be interesting to get yourself in court by holding such a sign and then arguing that Muslims have already set a precedent that allows for such activities. How would they argue that Muslims and other people follow different laws?

I live in Canada and we have hate cime laws. I am pending a response from the Ministry of Justice as to whether or not the Qur'an, Hadith and Sunnah constitute hate speech. Believe me, I am not holding my breath.
Here is a little test for y'all to see just how chastened you really are to Islamic servitude. The next time you speak critically (ie: factually) of Islam in public, do you look all around to see who may be listening? I caught myself doing this two months ago and was ashamed. I've not done it since. Be careful you aren't sucker punched though.

The UK Police have just aided the criminals, just wait and see the "Burka Bank Robberies" where non-Muslims rob banks or loot stores under the guise as Female Muslims.
There is no way to confirm the gender of Burka clad protester because they insist they can't show their face or skin in public, so when the media starts showing endless bank video's of disguised robbers it will become a comedy show
and Muslims will be blamed .
This creates a new paradoxical-irony for Islam, if Muslims protest to force Banks to ban the Burka , then Muslims can't assert it as Islamic dress and Quranic law.
The burka is the perfect desguise for crimes, Police won't stop you to prove your ID, and it's easy to remove it in the get-away car, or just toss it in the trash since the Police
are looking for a Burka-Robber .

As I understand it the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decides which cases should go forward to the Courts not the Police - a separation of powers concept which should be a familiar concept to all of you who live in a proper democracy (I believe that the CPS equivalent in Scotland is the Procurator Fiscal - bear in mind that the UK is made up of several countries each with their own legal system) - and that the CPS decided not to prosecute in this case.
Needless-to-say, I think that the decision not to prosecute is completely unacceptable. There is prima facie evidence that should have made a prosecution inevitable. I detect the fell hand of political correctness at work, yet again, together with the corrosive hatred that our political masters so obviously feel, and are fueled by, towards the indigenous population - they hate themselves for being white, British, successful, possessing an organised and explainable history, for not being other than they are; they are obsessed and enamoured with the exotic and the hard and fast rules of such things as the concept of sharia control. Then they project that hatred and their desiring of control onto us.
This story is the result of that projection. Sometimes, I'm ashamed to be British! If it were anything else other than islam being complained against then I can assure you that 25 complaints (a substantial number by British standards) would have triggered a major investigation which would have resulted in a prosecution, undoubtedly.
Oh yes, this story is definitely about dhimmitude.

I'm a Canadian ex-pat living in Indonesia. I left Canada in the '80's because I saw what Trudeau's multiculturalism program was doing to Canada then. We had a columnist in BC named Doug Collins who wrote about what was happening then and who foresaw what was going to happen in the future. Liberals and leftys proclaimed him a bigot, a racist and a conservative lunatic. Funny how everything he predicted has come true.
I heard a few years ago that we are not allowed to preach about the sin of homosexuality in sermons in Canada and that it constitutes a hate crime. Is this true? I think Pastor John Hagee's programs were or are still banned in Canada for the same reason.
In my opinion you are correct, the Qu'ran, Hadiths and Sunnahs do constitute hate speech. The texts themselves are self-damning evidence. The Muslims will say that non-Muslims are misinterpreting the texts and that they should be looking at the essence and not the words directly. Then they turn around and call for all who insult Islam to be beheaded and quote the same text they say we misinterpreted. Hippocritical bastards.

If there is ever a big enough backlash in the West, people such as Mr. Blair need to be put on trial and jailed for treason, and aididng and abetting of criminals and punished accordingly. The left in the west needs to be smashed along with the Muslims, even if it takes a military coup along the lines of Pinochet taking over after the fall of Salvador Allende, or the military government in post world war 2 Greece that held the communist filth at bay.
It is an all out war for survival and no option should be left unexplored for the redemption and salvation of the west.
Non-governmental leftist parasites such as the ACLU and liberal religious leaders should also be punished. Several liberal Protestant and Jewish denominations and several liberal Catholic dioceses should have all their assets seized as enemy agents and there clergy punished accordingly.

Maybe, of course, you agree with the moslems - that all gay people should be killed (and horribly at that) - but if you agree on one point then why not on every point?

Dominic, there is a big difference between saying that homosexuality is a sin, and calling for gays to be executed. The point was that, in political correct countries like Canada, you can't even speak badly of homosexuality, without the police being involved, but islamics can call for the beheading of non-muslims and get away with it.
That double standard was the point. As a special interest group, homosexuals benefit from the same hypocritical double standard that the islamic fundamentalist benefit. As an anti-islamic fighter, you of all people should be willing to cast off that double standard simply out of principle, in order to help level the playing field with islam.
I am straight, and I would never expect or want it to be a hate crime to speak badly of heterosexuality. I say, let's do away with the political correctness of hate crime laws, which were written by leftists in the '80s, and focus law enforcement on people who call for the murder of other people. THAT is what needs to be a hate crime, just as sedition should be a crime.

thanks to beachhutman for the dog link, i think this is another reason for not allowing the Olympic mega-mosque, which will render the London Olympics completely unsecurable. not being able to use sniffer dogs would just be the cherry on top,
however, i do see an opportunity for nice washable doggie suits, complete with little boots, surely those would make it ok ????
