"Behead those who insult Islam" is not an incitement to murder.

A website designer was found guilty today of stirring up race hate during a march by Muslims protesting at an anti-Islamic cartoon.But the jury could not agree on a second charge against Mizanur Rahman, 23, of inciting murder.
Rahman, who had denied both charges, was remanded in custody while the prosecution decide on whether there will be a retrial.
David Perry QC, for the prosecution at the Old Bailey, said: "It is likely there will be a retrial."

This can't be considered good in any regard. The selfsame PC delusions which animate UK and European courts (who rarely if ever prosecute Muslims for their hate-crime of being Muslim) are most often exploited by the opportunistic hate-based Islamic parasites to attack Westerners who object to their heinous beliefs, not the other way around...
I find it rich that so many in Europe and America look to the European/UN style systems and imagine them to be somehow superior to our tried and true bumpkin ways in America. Look at what the moral relativism of France, Germany, and even the UK has wrought... sheer calamity. The notion that America should look for approval for her actions from the likes of Europe, Russia, China, or, I'm extremely sad to say, the UK, is out and out absurd.
We are hardly a perfect nation -- our system is ever in need of improvements -- but when I compare America's current functionality to all those pious lecturers elsewhere in the world who have beams and planks in their eyes, America looks like a clear sighted and wise paradise -- and a nirvana for human dignity and the human soul.

If there is a retrial, I recommend the prosecution include an eye exam during voir dire. Jeeez

Islam might be a mental disorder, a death loving cult or just plain BS but it's not a race. But then again, Islam being so evil on so many levels maybe it should be classified as a race of some sort. Then we can all be proud to be called racists.

there are no shortage of lawyers and groups to challenge to system the moment some human right of a criminal is possibly infringed.
I presume in the same spirit all these laywers and groups will band together now that everyone's right to life is infringed by this inciteful man.
They must be rushing to organise another trial to overturn this silly rulling....

They got it exactly wrong in the UK again. The incident had nothing to do with race but it was an incitement to murder.
UK and Europe: Please get it through your skulls - incidents like this are not racial!

THE 'RACE'-THING WAS JUST AN EXCUSE FOR THE JUDGE-
the poor guy probably got a few phonecalls warning him that he might have an 'accident' or that he could mysteriously fall into a boxcutter with his throat, especially if they told him that 'we know where you lives' and where his kids go to school...
In a country like England where returning troops are put up (and assaulted by Mohammedans) in public hospitals the judges are unlikely to be hero's......

I know nothing of English law, and little of US law. But if a jury is made up of twelve jurors, one of whom is Muslim, does the one Muslim have the power to ‘hang’ the decision? The legal system could be made into a charade if he does.

I am not too sure on the racial aspect but I suspect the incitement to murder charge failed because the message was too general. To get an incitement conviction, you have to show someone fairly specific and fairly close at hand was the victim people were being incited against.
It is all rather old law and perhaps we need something new to cover this kind of behaviour - where it is quite clear that killing is intended and demonstrations like this must be a sort of grooming which will lead to some of their members going further. And the articles and links make it 100% clear she is talking only of Muslims.
On a slightly separate note, there has just been a trial of three Muslim gangsters who brutally murdered a 15 year old boy for no particular reason. Unsurprisingly, the BBC referred to the murderers throughout as members of an Asian gang. In fact it might have been hard to work out where they were from - though they certainly weren't Chinese! - except that it was revealed that, to avoid capture, they had fled to - Pakistan!

or
"Behead those who would impose Religious Aparteid"
or
"Behead those who insult the Church of England"
How long would these be allowed in the street? Do any of them sound like racial hate?

It's a funny coincidence that "Orwellian" was mentioned on this thread.
In a not totally unconnected topic, Nick Griffen, head of the BNP, was today cleared of the race hate charges levelled against him.
Well, of course any fool (who is does not work for the BBC, police or the Crown Prosecution Service) would know that calling Islam wicked is not a race hate crime.
The worrying development, however, is that Gordon Brown, who to me is like Tractor Driving, Flat Cap and Boiler Suit old Communist, commented on the outcome of the Griffen trial.
Brown said that the law might have to be changed as a result. I think that he means that the law will have to be changed so that they can put Nick Griffen in jail.
So, firstly, the big worry is that this guy thinks he is going to be the next prime minister - and knowing how the socialists don't give a rats ass what the people think, this is a good possibility. Secondly, did you ever hear anything so absolutely totalitarian - changing the law to suit one particular case. Oh God help us.
And of course, if Chairman Brown gets his way, some of us posting to this site could be in trouble ourselves - even if, as I do myself, we have absolutely no truck with the BNP.

When are the English going to finally wise up? Islam is incompatiable with Western civilization. The islamofascists want to take over england. If any of you Brits had any brains , you would pass laws taking away citizenship privildeges to Muslims and others who want to overthrow the gov't. Give all the extremists a one way ticket to any of the 55 islamic countries in the world.

why can't such persons be tried on the charge of sedition? Isn't advocating jihad a form of sedition?
Isn't sedition a crime in the UK? Or is it just a matter of WHO is seditious?
One of the problems is that in the UK and other Western countries Muslims as a group are viewed as a long-suffering class --something on the order of the Blacks in the USA who indeed were slaves and later subject to discrimination, jimcrow. Muslims on the other hand, were not innocents oppressed or exploited by the West. Rather, they were for long making war on the West, on India, on dhimmis in Muslim-ruled countries, etc. Muslim pirates were raiding southern and western Europe for slaves taken from the ordinary population in those countries. Tartars were raiding into Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Russa, etc., for the same purpose. The slaves were taken to slave markets in Constantinople. Slaves were also brought from Black Africa into the Ottoman Empire. See link:

with regards to the recent BNP trial (Farce), the words spoken by Nick Griffin about a wicked and vicious faith are true.
