Report: Hizb ut-Tahrir jihadist working in UK's immigration headquarters

Obvious questions: How many may not yet have been uncovered? How many more sympathize with Hizb ut-Tahrir's agenda? "Immigration HQ 'employs a radical Islamist'" by Nigel Morris and Ben Russell for The Independent:

An activist in the radical Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir is reported to be working in the immigration service headquarters.
The claim will cause embarrassment for the Home Secretary, John Reid, as he prepares to announce fresh counter-terrorism measures in the Queen's Speech today. The Home Office said last night it was urgently studying the claims on BBC2's Newsnight.
The man was claimed to be working at Lunar House, Croydon, the headquarters of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND).
Hizb ut-Tahrir, which backs the introduction of sharia law, has been banned in several countries, including Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey. Tony Blair said in August last year that he too wanted to see the group outlawed, but the Government decided against such a move after warnings from police that a ban would force the organisation underground.
The group insists it opposes violence and has condemned terrorist bombings in London, Madrid and Bali.
Patrick Mercer, the Conservative homeland security spokesman, said: "This shows just how hopeless the Government's counter-terrorism strategy is."

Look on the bright side, at least he wasn't in charge of nuclear power plants.

But seriously, these guys really need to be weeded out. Like get lice out of one's hair.

There are just a lot of sensitive places where muslims should NOT be allowed to work.

Antidhimmitude from the Beeb?

Hmmm. Interesting. Is it real, or is it is one of those changes of heart that can be mollified with Saudi petrodollars?

I shall await, and watch.

What a shocker.

Not!

Why isn't this guy suspended pending an investigation? So he can let those Al Qaeda pigs come in with the nukes they want to bring with them? What the hell is going on? I'll bet if a guy in that office was found with anti-jihad literature on his desk they couldn't throw him out fast enough and probably jail him as some sort of racist.

PC-Islamania's best friend.

Okay - it the strategy is hopeless - change the strategy.

Improvise, adapt and overcome.

There should be MORE radical 'Islamists' in every branch of government, the more sensitive, wthe better. The police, atni-terrorism units, etc. What better way is there to help them to feel assimilated.

Only when we can show this level of trust will Muslim immigrants be able to feel that it is truly THEIR country.

"Lunar House" hmmmm?

I have been struck by the number of immigration officers at airports in the UK who are identifiably Muslim. Assuming the Muslim population to be about 3% of the total UK population, I would have expected to see far fewer Muslim immigration officers.

The identification of this individual in the Home Office who is an activist in the fundamentalist Islamic group Hizb-ut Tahrir, is just a tip of the iceberg. How many Muslims are employed in the Immigration department as gatekeepers? And how can we trust them when it comes to allowing Muslims to gain entry to the UK?

Then again there was the case of Khan, a judge who, yet again was an immigration tribunals judge.

I'm beginning to get highly suspicuous that those sectors of the government that are responsible for security, such as the police and the Home Office, have been targetted by Muslims to get employment. Coupled with the fact that the government has committed itself to employing as many Muslims as they can to reduce Muslim unemployment, this situation spells danger to Britain. How many muslims are being let in at ports of entry, or their appeals for stay upheld because they have been checked out by fellow Muslims?

Another institution that Muslims target is the BBC. Again, it is a government financed body, and churns out highly contentuous propaganda.

The fractional Muslim population in the US is much lower then in the UK, but is there a similar situation in the US? Do American vistors on this site, find more Muslim immigration officers at ports of entry then warranted as a fraction of the total population.

Quite the opposite in fact.

The Labour Govt elected in 1979 set out deliberately to encourage diversity by dismantling immigration controls, and by using the kind of hiring quotas used in the US for Blacks and Hispanics to push an agenda to make British institutions more representative which only includes hiring lots more ethnics into Govt agencies and policing with every public body to submit reports each year on why it has not met quota.....................................funnily enough those areas of over-representation of ethnics such as the NHS, BBC etc are NOt forced to reduce their proportion of ethnics to match the population as a whole.

If you want to blame anyone, blame Blair. It is his Govt that has cultivated extremist Muslims and isolated moderate ones - no-one in Britain feels secure because victims get punished and criminals get rewarded.

The Govt is even trying to cultivate The MUslim Brotherhood and sponsored Al-Bakri the radical Imam with public funding of his office - you would be stunned if you knew how public money has been given to radical Muslims to try to buy them as if they were just lie Western politicians

Labour LOST in 1979. The Tories were elected and Mrs Thatcher became Prime Minister in May of that year.

Or did you mean 1997?

Quite true, Labour has been pushing "diversity" aka "Positive discrimination" from the day it took office. As I posted on JW in the past, before Iraq got serious they went as far as stopping (white) British soldiers from re-enlisting to create vacancies for minority recruits. However British based minorities did not want to join so they made up the quota by recruiting abroad. Crazy.

I think most government undertakings have been told to fill their quotas. It would be interesting to know how they are filling them.
