Pope Rage leveled against a Presbyterian clergyman. From Compass Direct:
December 4 (Compass Direct News) – Grieving Christians in Iraq’s northern city of Mosul completed three days of mourning for a murdered Presbyterian Church elder yesterday, only hours before another Iraqi clergyman was grabbed off the streets of Baghdad this morning.
The martyred churchman, identified only as 69-year-old Elder Munthir, had been kidnapped after leading worship services at the National Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Mosul on November 26. His body was found four days later.
He is the second Iraqi Christian clergyman to be murdered in Mosul within the past two months.
Under mounting terrorist threats targeting all of Mosul’s Christian community, local sources only spoke to Compass under conditions of strict anonymity.
According to eyewitnesses in Mosul, the Protestant church elder was cornered by two cars in front of his home at 11 a.m. as he returned from Sunday worship.
“One of the passengers had a pistol, and we saw them taking him and putting him into the trunk of the car,” an observer told Compass.
The captors contacted Elder Munthir’s family later that day, using his mobile telephone to confirm that they had kidnapped him. Initially demanding US$1 million in ransom, the kidnappers negotiated over the next three days with their captive’s relatives and friends.
According to one Mosul source who described the kidnappers’ conversations, “They said, ‘We have him, and we will kill him. We will cut his throat. We will take revenge for the Pope’s words. We will take revenge on all of you. We will kill all the Christians, and we will start with him.’”
The source said the kidnappers were “aggressive and mean,” but that “the people in these extreme Islamist groups do not represent true Islam.”
It is unclear whether the source added that comment out of fear, or whether his community may not fully grasp the nature of the threat it faces.
Although the kidnappers told a negotiator on Wednesday afternoon that the elder’s safe return was “nearly solved,” they then cut off communication with anyone.
On Thursday morning (November 30), the elder’s body was discovered thrown on a street in Mosul, killed by a single bullet to his head. Local forensic experts estimated the time of his death at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening (November 29).

The day after Elder Munthis was buried, one Mosul Christian told Compass that many of the church leader’s friends felt it was too dangerous to attend his funeral.
“This is a very big tragedy for us,” the Christian source said. “It is really getting much worse here. We really need your prayers.”
Several more Christians have been reported kidnapped in Mosul since his abduction and murder.
“We will never just pray, ‘God, save us from this,’” one local Christian declared. “But we will pray also, ‘God, show us your will in this.’

Priest Abducted
Baghdad’s Chaldean Catholic Patriarchate confirmed that Father Samy Abdulahad was kidnapped this morning from his car as he left his church in the Al-Sinaa district of the capital, near the University of Technology.
According to Ankawa.com, an Iraqi Christian news website, the patriarchate issued an appeal today to release the priest, a professor of theology at the Chaldean Babel Seminary.
“It’s terrible,” Chaldean Archbishop Louis Sako said from Kirkuk. “Babel Seminary was supposed to open tomorrow.” The theological school had delayed its fall opening for several months due to Baghdad’s rising violence.

with all this happening in Iraq may be its time every Christian in Baghdad relocated as refugees to Israel and its long past time that Bush pulled out of Iraq told Saudi Arabia to bugger off and started to drill for our own oil on our continental shelf over the objections of environmentalists its thought that there is three times as much oil there as there is in the Middle East of course in the oil companies can make more off of each barrel of oil if they don't have to use offshore oil platforms to get. But if we do drill there and having all our own oil would probably put a crimp in the money the jihad get from Saudi Arabia

I have become brainwashed, inspired and educated by many including the posters on this website and other websites.
I have garnered a lot of insite into Muslim/Islamic thinking by the the "trolls" who offer their hate filled and violence slanted rhetorical comments.
I have yet to see a "troll" make any valid contridiction to any article posted by Robert or Hugh or Walid (and many others)regarding the Islamic onslaught as we see in todays world.
Someone called Islam a mental disorder. I tend to agree.
I have seen how Muslims treat people and I do not desire to be near Muslims.
In the future I may be called upon to lock and load. Rest assured, I will answer the call if needed.
Islam deals not in Peace through their Religious beliefs, but in the power of the gun. Terror is their manifesto and death of the non Muslim is their reward.

Ever notice the near non existence of any Non Muslim Religion in any Majority Muslim country?
In fact, anywhere Islam has taken over, the first rule is to eliminate the other religions.
The next rule is to turn the other religions churches into mosques.
The grand directive is to slay all who refuse to co-operate or who show some intelligence (i.q. over 40?).
Then there third directive is to demand, demand,demand,demand,demand,demand,demand and never acknowledge the rights of others to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Does anyone else think how much this differs from your average Muslim's way of demostrating his faith? Yet it's Christianity that's always accused of being horribly repressive and violent.

Those mythical moderate Muslims need to ride their unicorns and carry signs that say "Free Islam" at rallies because someone really should free that "prisoner" already. 1400 years of imprisonment is terrible. I'm not seeing that though. Instead, the only rallies I see are in favor of making rape easier, of targeting people for death and of demonizing the "Satans" (i.e. the US and Israel).

I think that CAIR just jeopardized it's non profit status, and I hope that steps are taken to disenfranchize it.

The Council on American Islamic Relations is calling on the Bush administration to remove a right-wing talk show host from a taxpayer-funded council on Holocaust awareness. The broadcaster, Dennis Prager, has drawn controversy for stating Congressmember Keith Ellison should be sworn into Congress using a Christian Bible instead of the Quran. Ellison is the first Muslim elected to Congress. Prager said using the Quran would: “undermine American civilization” and be like using a copy of Hitler’s “Mein Kampf.” The Bush administration recently appointed Prager to a five-year term on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.

Yes Dracula, I know that the purpose of CAIR is to squelch free speech and free thought about Islam.. but my point is that (and I suggest this for the lawyers present or even the Holocaust memorial committee) that CAIR by demanding of the administration that it remove Prager from the Holocaust Memorial Committee has violated the rules that enables it to exist as a non profit corporation..
And the way to deal with CAIR and the other obfuscating Islamic organizations is to attack their non profit status.. they would cease to exist in any form if they lost their non profit (tax exempt) status..
The same should be done to mosques.. any mosque whose Imam preaches subversion, jihad, hatred should lose it's tax exempt status..
That's the way to fight Jihadi's without resorting to their tool of violence (implied or actual).

Seems the Iraqi Christians have been thoroughly dhimmitized and have adopted the customs and mentality of their oppressors (much like the Christians of Lebanon who side with Hizballah on the one hand or the Sunnis on the other).
Three days mourning is the Sunni tradition, not Christian.. The Shi'a tradition is forty days, following on their annual Ashura or "mourning celebration for their "Imam" Hussein.

Not only do we have the numbers.. We also have the brains and the drive to INNOVATE. Our ranks span from Chinese to Israelis to white and non-white Europeans and Americans. There are indeed non-white refugees FROM islam who came to our shores to avoid persecution by these animals.
So our coalition is rather large and diverse.
