UPDATE: I just got word from David Meir-Levi that this story may be a hoax. Reports from contacts in the West Bank say that UPS deliveries are normal, regular, and consistent.
Debbie Schlussel has the whole story.
A friend of mine has a son learning in the Gush in Israel. She wanted to send him a package. She called UPS about shipping her package to Gush Yeshiva [DS: A yeshiva is a Jewish academy] in the Gush EtZion. UPS told her they do not deliver packages beyond the green line. He would have to go the Jerusalem to pick it up. My friend asked if they deliver packages to Ramala. The reply was yes. After further research for a delivery service she called DHL, they had no problem taking her package and delivering it to her son.

UPS is American; DHL is German...............different companies, different policies

Looks like the Ummah Parcel Service needs to be targeted for a lawsuit. Jews should hire a Muslim lawyer-they seem quite good at trying to shake down companies.

Hmmmm I am going to help spread this story throughout the internet world and forward it to a few newspapers. It will be a loss of business for UPS --something they obviously deserve and will, no doubt, make them rethink their bigotry.
I am also thinking of writing them a letter. Anyone else here is their contact details from their website:

Perhaps UPS is afraid that Muslims will attack its delivery trucks if they deliver packages past the Green Line.

Thanks for the link.
I will be writing them.
I will be boycotting UPS.

I believe the problem may be UPS is a publicly traded company and some of the majority shareholders are part of the Saudi royal family I seem to recall a story about this in trucking today, so with the amount of money and shares involved they are going to do what the majority shareholders want. As a driver for over 18 years before bad health forced me to quit I found federal express to be a much better company to deliver anywhere in the USA and unlike UPS they had drop boxes almost everywhere while UPS gave much poorer service it cost 12.95 and UPS and poorer service and cost more about $15.

For crying out loud is there anything left in this world that isn't owned at least in part by Saudi princes? They have their filthy hands in every damn cookie jar. Something needs to be done about these lazy, idle, overly rich fat cats who do nothing with their millions but fund terrorism, build more mosques spewing more Wahabbist garbage and generally create problems with their ownership of seemingly everything. This is our money at work here, cutting our own throats a little bit at a time. Nariz is right on when he blasts the connection between these parasites and the governmental big shots who do their bidding for them in the West. It's like the Invasion of the Body Snatchers has gone from fiction to fact.

americaningermany-
I think the system has some occasional hiccups. I've seen comments from others as well as myself deleted at times when I saw nothing at all offensive about them. Once in a while I've even seen a comment appear, disappear and then reappear. I'm not sure what, if anything, can be done to correct this.

This UPS situation is troubling. How many such unannounced anti-Semitic policies and practices are followed by corporations and organizations that we would expect to be unbiased in their actions?
I am grateful to the people who have these websites and who work so hard to keep us informed about what is going on in the world.

Thanks. I was beginning to feel attacked! (just kidding)
Anyway, maybe it's something with the system as you said.

I can confirm this. I live out in YESHA and from time to time I have gotten things via ups. I have had to have go get them in Jerusalem or get them sent to the office or the like.

americaningermany,
The easiest way to find out if it was a computer glitch or if you were purposely deleleted is to e-mail Robert or Marisol directly using the contact box at the left side. They'll let you know.
Take my word, I've had a post deleted because my sarcasm came off as serious. I've also emailed them and asked them to delete a post that didn't come off sounding like I meant it. Marisol and the team are very fair about these things.

HERE IS THE UPS PRESS RELEASE ON THIS ARTICLE
FINAL STATEMENT REGARDING UPS SERVICE TO ISRAEL DECEMBER 13,2006
UPS offers worldwide express service to and from Israel to both residential and business addresses and a domestic service within Israel through its authorized service contractor, O.P.S.I International Handling limited.
Regrettably, information provided recently by UPS customer representatives regarding UPS's service territory in Israel was incorrect. This is currently being resolved.
Through O.P.S.I., UPS covers 99% of the population in Israel outside the West Bank, except for a few remote areas in the Golan Heights and the Negav Desert, where it would be cost prohibitive to provide service. Only remote areas in the West Bank with very low population density are not covered-on both the Israeli and the Palestinian sides. In the West Bank,UPS's service reaches over 80% of the population and covers approximately 60% of the territory, including the Gush EtZion area.
All packages coming from abroad are delivered into all areas of Yehuda, and Shomron. This includes Gush EtZion. Customers residing in this area DO NOT have to go to Jerusalem to pick up their shipments.
UPS does not tolerate any type of discrimination and would not associate with any parties who did not embrace UPS"s concern for fairness and equality.

SOS from the UK. If anybody is listening - HELP.
gangalf at the site UP Poimpeei has this
ALL OF MANCHESTERS 128 PRIMARY SCHOOLS HAVE ISLAMIC PACKS ISSUED TO THEM
On 1 November 2006 Manchester City Council School head teachers took delivery of Books for Schools Resource Packs produced by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB). The occasion was marked by an event at the City of Manchester Football stadium. The event was attended by Erica Pounce (Acting Director of Education) and John McManus (Link Adviser Children's Services) from the Manchester City LEA and Members of the MCB’s Books for Schools Team. Also in attendance were representatives of Human Appeal International and Muslim Youth Foundation.
The Books for Schools pack is a tailor-made high quality resource designed to assist in the teaching of Islam within the school curriculum and in line with the relevant key stage guidelines. Manchester City Council now has a Resource Pack in every single one of its 128 primary schools. It now joins a growing list of councils which have achieved the same including Stockport, Oldham.

"Regrettably, information provided recently by UPS customer representatives regarding UPS's service territory in Israel was incorrect. This is currently being resolved."
Debbie Schlussel
points out that the UPS representative read from an official statement regarding these areas. So without admitting any discriminate handling of UPS packages, UPS says they are resolving the problem without noting any specific corrective action that will be taken.

FYI,
I've shipped several e-bay packages to Israel. I went through USPS and the buyers have never had their items lost...most got them within a week. Never, ever ship to Israel on the "slow boat", and never ship even books via media mail when sending them to Israel (translates to slow boat). Items tend to disappear on the slow boat that goes to Israel...don't know why.

americaningermany, germaninamerica--
(as a relative newbie to JW I see you as book ends often going back and forth--often making me wonder if you are the same person)
As regards the mysterious-deleting of a few of your posts question:
"Uh, did I say something wrong? I see that four of my comments on Dhimmi Watch today have been deleted."
Just an observation here-
I think you offer some great input--many great posts--but, I wish you didn't put on so many posts on the same threads. Last week we had you at over 80 posts on one thread--so, maybe some complaints are coming in.
Please don't disown me for --I am your ally in this cause too, yet I like to get several person's input and I feel bad when I start skipping your posts because of just having read 10 of them on the same thread and I'm only half way down the list...

This is really a sad state of affairs. I mostly use FedEx, and a friend alerted me to this. I think everyone has said what needs saying, but I wanted to answer one question from above.
Yes, there is still something the Saudi Princes down't own - The Seminole Indians just bought The Hard Rock Cafe franchise - that one is OUT of Saudi hands (lol).
