A PROPOSED advertisement featuring Sam Kekovich holding a slab of meat and announcing: "Is lamb" has been canned over fears it could offend Muslims.Meat and Livestock Australia, which employs the ex-AFL star for the politically incorrect meat ad series, axed the proposal over fears it had gone too far.
The idea involved Kekovich standing over a barbecue with a Muslim preacher on either side of him as he grilled chops.
Kekovich was to hold up a chop to the imams and say: "Is lamb," mimicking an ad for Don meat, which says, "Is Don, is good."
A reworked version of the advertisement excluding the imams is due to air on January 14.
Kekovich said the new advertisement would still be compelling and was done "in a tasteful manner".
"The previous two had been fairly well received. But Islam is not involved at all," he said.

Islam is very serious indeed...
Islam is in contradiction to any scientific and skeptical inquiry..
That is why, in science, technology, music, arts etc.. over centuries muslim countries have been lagging way behind not only christian societies but also buddists,hindus, taoists and last but not least far outdistanced by jews.
There is no humour in islam...Laughing especially by females is forbidden and very harshly punished..
Men and women are separated so even the most basic human instinct as sex is strongly circumvented.
Islam prohibits painting, sculpting and similar arts. One can not believe the rationale behind this; painting is forbidden because pictures of mohammad is forbidden (as if the whole painting would be restricted to Mo)..
Islam does not allow criticizing its rules any attempt to do so is punishable by death..
Islam does not care about the individual, which is expendable for big causes such as jihad..
Islam does not care about the children, little girls barely able to walk and toddle can be married to men old enough to be their grandpa (following u know who)..
Islam forbids sexuality and condems gays however arab's preferences for young boys is well known..
Since women can not enjoy the sexuality either, the lesbianism is also rampant in these countries.
Islam forbids lying, taking bribery, theft..
However, muslim countries have always been at the top of corruption lists..
But islam is very serious religion indeed.
Especially in the "art of slaughtering"..

The same way humour is used by blacks to express frustration and anger about whites, helping break down barriers between the two through laughter, could be equally effective in mainstreaming Moslems into American society. Better bad jokes than bombs. We need a program planting people who know how to laugh among the Moslems.

Who says Islam doesn't allow for humour? These were told by the Grand Iman Mufti of Constantinople himself during his hilarious "how to deliver a one-liner" stand up show at the recent "Hamas for beginners" course.
A mullah was arrested for sheep shagging. When questioned by police, he said they were Islambs and he can do what he wants with them!
What do you say to a Muslim woman with two black eyes? Nothing! You told her twice already!

Why does Sam Kekovich look like he is eating raw lamb? After all, unlike ham or salami or turkey, is it possible to have lamb raw? I would have thought that the least one would want to do would be a marinade and barbeque.

Australian lamb has just become the most mouth-watering Christmas treat. As one pushes the cart down those aisles, don't forget. Buying that lamb should dispel any conceivably sad heart at the supermarket.

No humor in Islam? I wouldn't go that far-there's plenty of humor, all unintentional to be sure. Look at those death shrouds a lot of the women wear. Then we have the statements of Iran's simian in chief. And let's not forget the wisdom brought to us by various trolls on this site. I often get a good laugh from these things. Then there's the picture of Satan Khomeini-sinister and yet laughable at the same time. See-there is humor in Islam after all.

Excuse me but Allah didn't create man. Allah, as Satan, is a created being and resents the fact that he has no power to create, only to destroy. He hates us because God loves us and he hates God.
I had this thought...after watching Apocalypto it dawned on me that Allah is just another in a long line of "gods" who demanded human sacrifice to appease themselves. Except they are all the same demon. But really, think about the honor killings, the beheadings, the burnings, and the rest. All of these things are done in the name of Allah, at the command of Allah, to honor Allah. How is this any different than what the Mayans did to appease their god and ask for rain for their crops. Or what the worshippers of Baal or the Moabites did to appease their "gods"? It all included murder of human beings. It was all done to please their "gods".

No shit. Actually, the "Is lamb" campaign is fairly silly, but so what? Philladelphia Cream Cheese had (as I recall) some ads set in heaven. No protests (that I can recall), certainly no violence.
Some strains of Christianity *are* rather humorless, but they are balance by figures such as Francis of Assisi and Hildegard of Bingen, as well as the Baptist tradition of joyful and humerous Gospel Music.
Other religions have aspects of humor to them--certainly Buddhism does--the Dalai Lama laughs a lot. There are huge numbers of Jewish comedians. Of course, not all of their humor is religious, but there is a thread of humor, especially self-deprecating humor, in Judaism.
I have heard of a female Muslim comic, Shazia Mirza. I don't even know if she is funny, but she must be the bravest woman in the world.
