Muslim sensitivity training for 45,000 airport workers

Airport security? Pah! From WND, with thanks to all who sent this in:

The Transportation Security Administration – created after 9/11 to safeguard America's airports – is providing Islamic sensitivity training to 45,000 airport security officers so they'll know what to expect when Muslims fly from the U.S. to Saudi Arabia to participate in the annual "hajj," or pilgrimage to Mecca.

"We put out information telling everyone that hajj is coming; this is the time frame; individuals are going to be traveling with these types of items," TSA spokesman Darrin Kayser told the State Department's USINFO Web site Tuesday. Calling it "cultural sensitivity training," Kayser added that airport security officials need "just to be aware that they may also be praying."

Ironically, just last month six Muslim imams were ejected by federal authorities from a US Airways flight in Minneapolis because they were deemed a potential security threat. Among the various behaviors that unnerved fellow passengers was the group's prayers in the airport prior to their flight.

Welcoming TSA's Islamic sensitivity training is the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, which describes itself as "America's largest Islamic civil liberties group." In a press release praising the program yesterday, CAIR noted that it distributes a pocket guide titled "Your Rights and Responsibilities as an American Muslim."

"As an airline passenger," the CAIR guide states, "you are entitled to courteous, respectful and non-stigmatizing treatment by airline and security personnel. You have the right to complain about treatment that you believe is discriminatory."

The press release also quoted the group's communications director, Ibrahim Hooper, as saying CAIR representatives nationwide have met with not only the TSA, but also from Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection officials on "issues related to cultural sensitivity and national security."

Indeed, CAIR has developed a wide-ranging advisory and teaching relationship with government on the subject of protecting Muslim interests.

As WND reported previously, last June a senior Department of Homeland Security official from Washington personally guided CAIR officials on a behind-the-scenes tour of Customs screening operations at O'Hare International Airport in response to CAIR complaints that Muslim travelers were being unfairly delayed as they entered the U.S. from abroad.

However, CAIR itself is a controversial organization. It is a spin-off of the Islamic Association for Palestine, identified by two former FBI counterterrorism chiefs as a "front group" for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. Moreover, several CAIR leaders have been convicted on terror-related charges.

Read it all.

"Your Rights and Responsibilities as an American Muslim."
I see a statement of rights. What responsibilities does the pamphlet posit Muslims have? Posted by: aynrandgirl [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 30, 2006 8:48 AM

thanks to our political correctness ( a new kind of Orwellian doublespeak really) Muslims 'rights'
(I agree with aynrandgirl) will be the death of proper security features in airports if this continues.

FROM THE WND article:

"CAIR has also been dogged by the statements of Omar Ahmad, as reported by a California newspaper, that "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant," and, "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." Although the newspaper's publisher and the reporter stand by the quotes, Ahmad and CAIR dispute their accuracy."

It also says:
"CAIR – which is bankrolled by the Saudis and the United Arab Emirates, two countries that formally recognized the Taliban – also offers religious and cultural sensitivity training about Islam and Muslims to the military. In June, for example, CAIR trained more than 300 military personnel at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz."

Political correctness is killing us. These people CAIR and such are just thugs, a new kind of Nation of Islam that does not care for the death of innocents if it means progressing Islam...

aynrandgirl:

You took the words right out of my mouth.

A muslim accept responsibility for anything, anywhere for any reason. I think not. Oh wait, unless it has to do with some invention in science, math or medicene or a cultural improvement, they aren't responsible.

Time to scrap and rebuild the TSA.. and just what was the reason for giving cair a guided tour behind the airport's security systems? Moronic to the Nth degree, is it not? Who gives a guided tour of security facilities to any group, not to mention the enemy!

Also how can a gutter religion predominate? Who thinks up this crap?

This sensitivity training is going on all over the in the US.

I recently( Dec.23,2006) read this article from GULF NEWS.COM.on sensitivity training for law enforcement agencies regarding how to treat Muslims. The kicker is that some of the training was being given by a Saudi Woman. And of course you will notice that CAIR organized the cultural awareness program for police agencies like the Cleveland,Ohio police Department.

The airlines have lost a lot of business fr the average person here in the U.S. and the Western cultures of Eur. - so now they are eager to get some kind of business back.

Rather, why don't they have sensitivity training for the Western Cultures?

Poor female stewards on planes, islmaic machismo is alive and well!

The thing is, how much the airline workers will take abuse before they fight back.

Manuals say:
"You have the right to complain about treatment that you believe is discriminatory."

Fact is, islamics will now be free to complain about EVERYTHING.

"As an airline passenger," the CAIR guide states, "you are entitled to courteous, respectful and non-stigmatizing treatment by airline and security personnel. You have the right to complain about treatment that you believe is discriminatory."

So has our State Department, and the ACLU demanded sensitivity training for those security agents in Saudia Arabia when they see a Christian carrying his bible, and wearing a cross around his neck. Alert --Bridge for sale!

As long as they are flying out of the US and on Saudi Airlines, who cares about security?

sorry about that. For some reason my real post failed so I decided to send a test message.
It worked, so I'll try again.
There are a lot of possibilities here. For one thing the sensitivity should be extended to the airplanes themselves. The FAA should require that all flights that last thru one of the islamic times of prayer must provide an Islamic Prayer Area (the IPA). This would be done by removing a number of seats to provide an area large enough for a number of believers to prostrate themselves (bottoms up, boys). Moslem passengers would be required to identify themselves as such when purchasing their tickets, so that additional seats could be removed if necessary. If the flight were sold out, non-believers would be bumped to alternate arrangements. Besides the floor space, the IPA would provide a clock indicating the prayer times, and an indicator giving the direction of Mecca, and washing facilities for the feet. Also, each flight would carry a mullah (whatever . . ) to call out the hour of prayer. It would, alas, not be possible to provide a real minaret, so that one would have to make do with a raised platform. In addition, airline staff would be required to make note of any unbelievers laughing or making rude noises during the prayers, and turn these bigots over to the authorities upon landing for prosecution under the hate-crime laws.
Senator Boxer and Congressman Ellison, let's get to work on this.

I would like to understand why little of this nonsense seems to happen in Australia. Sensitivity training for the Hajj? Oh please..

Serious question, I would like to understand why USA has that and we don't. Wonder if we can look forward to such nonsense too.

Happy New Year from Sydney.

The Ex flew to somewhere nice via the Middle East. She went on an Islamic country airline. I suggested such an Airline would be completely safe from terrorism.

Am I right?

I heard about this insanity Friday and it made me so furious that I immediately fired off an email to TSA. I will probably be hunted down by the FBI and banned from flying, but I just couldn't control myself.

How many muslims are in the US? How many separate ethnic/religious groups are in the U.S., and how many of them have demanded or received the attention, time, and incessant publicity that muslims and islam get? Muslims attacked us on 9-11 and are killing people all over the world every day in the name of islam. And how do we respond to that? Why, we punish ourselves and reward muslims; no expense is spared to ensure that the miniscule muslim population of the U.S. is not "profiled" by airport employees or police. Americans are subjected to humiliating, time-wasting "sensitivity" training programs to accomodate a tiny segment of the population. Some Americans have never seen a muslim and if they're lucky, never will.

Innocent, law-abiding, lifetime citizens of the U.S. are subjected to Draconian airport security procedures, THANKS TO MUSLIMS. But muslims, the people who kill and terrorize, are exempt from extra scrutiny, while I am regularly singled out for random screenings.

Why must WE accomodate THEM?! It should be the other way around! They should be learning how to live like Americans or get the hell out of America. My most fervent wish is that none of them return from the pagan haj, but I'll never get that lucky.

My uncle is TSA employee and no dhimmi at that. I am not sure if he will be subjected to this brainwashing attempt, but if he is, he asked me to compile a list of questions about islam to ask the course facillitator.

Here are some questions I am going to have him ask, please write me or post some suggestions.

1) Why aren't non-muslims ever allowed to enter the cities of Mecca and Medina?

2) What reaction would there be if Rome forbade non-Catholics from entering it?

gotta go for now...

Senatortombstone, let us know how it goes....(and hope your uncle keeps his job).
