Really, who has tried to do anything effective against the challenge of Islamic supremacism who hasn't received death threats?
From AKI, with thanks to Fjordman:
Rome, 10 Jan. (AKI) - Italian conservative MP Daniela Santanche has received death threats over her opposition to the Muslim veil, Italy's leading paper Corriere della Sera reported in a front-page article on Wednesday. Santanche reportedly received a letter in Arabic and English at her lower house office Tuesday night with pictures of Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, murdered in 2004 by an Islamist fundamentalist for his movie Submission, which denounced violence on women in Muslim countries, and Dutch MP Hirsi Ali, the film's author, who has also received death threats."This is the hour of my liberation...your time has come," the note said. The message also carried a paragraph from the BBC World website on 23 October, describing Santanche as an MP who "has said the veil is not required by the Koran" and has been described as "an infidel by an imam."
Santanche, a leading member of the right-wing National Alliance Party in Italy's opposition, has been under police escort since late October last year, when her criticism of the Muslim veil led to threats which were considered serious by security officials, including those of Muslim cleric Aby Shwaima, the imam of the mosque of Segrate in Milan and one of the founders of Italy's largest Muslim group UCOII, who slammed her as an "infidel" during a television show on Sky Italia on 20 October.

So will Hamdi Zaqzuq - the Egyptian minister who is equally opposed to veils - receive death threats?
Or is opposing veils only good for a death sentence if you are not a "good dhimmi".

"with pictures of Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, murdered in 2004 by an Islamist fundamentalist for his movie Submission, which denounced violence on women in Muslim countries, "
....These Muslims must be so proud of their assassinations that they carry photos of their deeds.....Muslims really hate it when the truth is presented.... Day by day their way of life is falling apart and they know it....Truth is a powerful weapon.......

How, and where, did the person who wrote the note learn English?

The usual disgusting rantings of idiots-they REALLY think the entire world is theirs, calling people infidels in their own lands and making the usual vile death threats. Arrest the violent ones and kick out the rest already-whatever they do and say in their own cesspoolian countries is their business. We don't want or need them anywhere in the West.

Death threats are sent and what's more meant, so that Italian MPs and Dutch MPs are forced to be escorted everywhere by armed guards, and so too must the most prominent of Italian journalists (Magdi Allam), while a French teacher in a lycee must go underground, along with his family, and meanwhile the Tariq-Ramadans and imams and Western hirelings of the Arabs can serenely go about their business, no matter what they do, and no one seems to find this strange.
For every death threat that is received by Geert Wilders, by Magdi Allam, by Robert Redeker, by Ayaan Hirsi Ali (who had to leave the Netherlands, and Europe), by Daniela Santanche, by the editors of Jyllands-Posten, by anyone else, the governments affected should turn a screw in their policy: shut down the ten most offending mosques, and ratchet up the policy of returning-to-sender the illegal immmigrants, to begin with, and then to ensure that those who are legal are going to not only behave themselves, but swear oaths of loyalty to whatever Infidel nation-state they happen to have settled in, with the slightest infraction of that oath being grounds for the stripping of citizenship for that person, and, just the way that entire families lose their rights to public housing if one member of that family is convicted of drug-dealing from the apartment, also the entire extended family of someone found to be supporting or participating in acts to promote violent Jihad. No Infidel, in the Lands of the Infidels, should have to go around with armed guards. Quite the reverse: it is Tariq Ramadan, and assorted imams and Hizb ut Tahrir supporters and promoters, who ought to be constantly worried about doing something that will cause their prompt stripping of citizenship, and deportation back to good old Dar al-Islam, and it should make no difference thaet some of them, like Tariq Ramadan, managed to be born in Europe. Home is where the heart is, and the heart is with Dar al-Islam.

If she said that a veil is not required by the Qur'an, then she really does deserve death according to the Qur'an, for perverting the supposed word of Allah. But if she were really hardcore rightwing, she would say instead that a veil is required according to the Qur'an (which is the truth), but that it should be banned, anyway. That would make her into a real crusader, as opposed to one of the phonies who suggest that it is possible to reform that which cannot and will not ever be reformed, namely Islam.

I would love to see the police crack down hard on these Nazis when they threaten democracy like this.
It is easy for politicians and journalists to preach dhimmitude. It takes courage to speak out (from the Left or Right) knowing it may cost you your life.
These Nazis preaching hatred and spewing death threats should receive heavy prison sentences, massive fines, loss of citizenship and deportation at the end of their sentence.

Please refer her to the Egyptian Minister for Religion who has publicly stated what every scholar of Islam already knows . The Niquab is NOT mandated in Islam this is purely an ARAB cultural thing.

Bit extreme isn't it? There wouldn't be any moslems left in Europe!

There wouldn't be any "controversial" remarks or any other kinds of veil realted headaches if the Islamaniacs would merely stay in the ummah where they belong. Get the hell out already and leave normal people alone!

An Open Letter to Aayan Hirsi Ali pinned to the body of Theo Van Gogh by member of the "religion of peace"
"Death, Ms. Hirsi Ali, is the common theme of all that exists. You and the rest of the cosmos cannot escape this truth.
There will come a day when one soul cannot help another soul. A day that goes paired with terrible tortures, when the unjust will press horrible screams from their lungs.
Screams, Ms. Hirsi Ali that will cause chills to run down a person's back, and make the hairs on their heads stand straight up. People will be drunk with fear, while they are not drunken. Fear will fill the air on the Great Day.
I know definitely that you, Oh America, will go down. I know definitely that you, Oh Europe, will go down. I know definitely that you, Oh Netherlands, will go down. I know definitely that you, Oh Hirsi Ali, will go down."
Not exactly Keats but you get the picture-charming aren't they?

If all of our politicians have to be protected by armed guards then maybe one day it will dawn on them that if anyone needs an armed escort it's the islamos..
They need an armed escort to the border.. the Turkish border. Let them find their way home from there!

No gall. Muslims believe that the world is Allah's and is ceded to Muslims. It is you, me and Infidels, who have the audacity to question the divinely anointed and rightful owners of Italy, France, USA, Britain, Australia etc..
The ironic part in all this is, that if we ever threatened to carry out mass deportation of Muslims, these same Muslims, in fact all the Muslims, will be shedding copious tears, and wailing to high heaven, "We are innocent, tiny minority etc.., we are human, dont we bleed if you etc..". They will be at our feet, begging to stay, and will promise anything, including leaving Islam. But their promises count for naught, as they are taught deceit as a moral virtue.

I swear, Egypt,(having lived there) is more easygoing about Islam than the islamic zones of European cities. Remember that many of those 'asylum' seekers who ended up in Europe were too fanatic Islamists for their own Islamic countries but our masters decided they'd be right at home with us.

Can anyone suggest to me an appropriate retort to "Infidel". Just in case I get called it. I was thinking "Bedouin" (sp?) but is there something more appropriate or suitable?
Thanks

Those who wish a glimpse of Daniela Santanche might visit www.newenglishreview.org, where her picture has been posted. She may soon find all kinds of Americans volunteering to be her bodyguard.

call them "burka" especially if they are males.
burka is the manifesto of stupidity of the muslims and it's worldwide known, chances are that by offending them you will also make laugh the other infidels bystanders

A few corrections: the letter was in English because it was sent from London. Now the question is how some of our Muslims lads (who, by personal witness, are not the among the best educated of locals) got to hear about a debate on Italian TV, in Italian. Answer: probably because her opponent was a leader of UCOII, that is of the Italian arm of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Anyway, don't worry about Italy's reaction. This is not England or the Netherlands, to let people who had been threatened by bullies alone; we have a bit too much experience with terrorists and mafiosi for that. Mrs.Santanche (who, to judge by her photos, is a babe, and whose red hair, very rare in Italy, would be a great loss under a hijjab) is a member of Fini's National Alliance, a part of the opposition, but every member of the government alliance - Margherita, Italia dei Valori, Communists, etc. - lined up today to give her vigorous public support. So did the leader of the Union of Moroccans in Italy - the same person who, a few days ago, had warned about Islamist infiltration. Even her opponent in the debate, seeing which way the wind blew, hypocritically declared sympathy for her - with a full dose of the usual self-pity, of course.
