I'm from Quebec and what I can hear and see is that people are capitulating like in Europe: they are scared of being called islamophobics and racists and they play the PC game perfectly. People in Quebec are ignorants and they think that "shit happens elsewhere", not here, so why bother fighting against Islamofascism? These morons are not even aware of the islamisation...they are simply a bunch of morons. Canada and especially Quebec will be the first places to fall to Islam: The Islamic Republic of Canada is not to far from the corner. I hope it will happen and that nobody will help. Municipalite Herouxville Publication of Standards

The social development and territory security are some of the major objective goals of the democratically voted individuals in our MRC. Herouxville being part of the MRC, we share these same objectives. To do this, we would like to invite, without discrimination, in the future, all people from outside our MRC that would like to move to this territory.

Without discrimination means to us, without regard to race or to the color of skin, mother tongue spoken, sexual orientation, religion, or any other form of beliefs.

So that the future residents can integrate socially more easily, we have decided unanimously, to make public, certain standards already in place and very well anchored in the lives of our electors.

These standards come from our municipal laws being Federal or Provincial, and all voted democratically. They also come from the social life and habits & customs of all residents of our territory.

Our objective is to show that we support the wishes of our electors and this being shown clearly by the results of our poll regarding this issue. And our goal is to inform the new arrivals to our territory, how we live to help them make a clear decision to integrate into our area.

We would especially like to inform the new arrivals that the lifestyle that they left behind in their birth country cannot be brought here with them and they would have to adapt to their new social identity.

The Standards

Our Women
We consider that men and women are of the same value. Having said this, we consider that a woman can; drive a car, vote, sign checks, dance, decide for herself, speak her peace, dress as she sees fit respecting of course the democratic decency, walk alone in public places, study, have a job, have her own belongings and anything else that a man can do. These are our standards and our way of life. However, we consider that killing women in public beatings, or burning them alive are not part of our standards of life.

Our Children
Our children are required to attend public or private schools to insure their social development and to help integrate into our society. Any form of violence towards children is not accepted.

Our Festivities
We listen to music, we drink alcoholic beverages in public or private places, we dance and at the end of every year we decorate a tree with balls and tinsel and some lights. This is normally called “Christmas Decorations ” or also “Christmas Tree ” letting us rejoice in the notion of our national heritage and not necessarily a religious holiday. These festivities are authorized in public, schools, and institutions and also in private.

Our Health Care
In our old folks homes men and women are treated by responsible men and women. Please note that there is no law voted democratically that prohibits a woman treating a man and a man treating a woman. In our hospitals and CLSC’s woman doctors can treat men and women and the same for the men doctors. This same principle applies for nurses, firemen and women, ambulance technicians. These responsible people do not have to ask permission to perform blood transfusions or any task needed to save a life. For the lastfew years men have been allowed into the delivery room to assist in the birth of their baby. They have been with their wives to prenatal courses to help them in this task.
In the said establishments the patients are offered traditional meals. There is often music playing in the background. There are magazines or newspapers available and any other form of multimedia that shows our community spirit and our way of life.

Our Education
In our schools certified men and women teach our children. The women or men teachers can teach boys or girls with no sexual discrimination. They do not have to dress any different to accomplish their tasks.
In our schools the children cannot carry any weapons real or fake, symbolic or not. The children can sing, play sports or play in groups. To promote decency and to avoid all discrimination some schools have adopted a dress code that they strongly enforce.

For the last few years to draw away from religious influences or orientation no locale is made available for prayer or any other form of incantation. Moreover, in many of our schools no prayer is allowed. We teach more science and less religion. In our scholastic establishments, be private or public, generally, at the end of the year you will possibly see “Christmas Decorations ” or “Christmas Trees ” The children might also sing “Christmas Carols ” if they want to. Many of our schools have cafeterias that serve traditional foods. Students may decide to eat elsewhere.
The history of Quebec is taught in our schools. Biology lessons are also given.

Our Sports & Leisure
For the longest time boys and girls have played the same games and often play together. For example, if you came to my place we would send the kids to swim together in the pool, don’t be surprised this is normal for us. You would see men and women skiing together on the same hill at the same time, don’t be surprised this is normal for us. You would also see men and women playing hockey together, don’t be surprised this is normal for us. In our public swimming pools we have men and women lifeguards for our security to protect us from drowning, don’t be surprised this is normal for us.

All the laws adopted that permit these phenomenons have followed a strict democratic process. You would appreciate this new life style and share our habits & customs.

Our Security
Our immense territory is patrolled by police men and women of the “Surete du Quebec “. They have always been allowed to question or to advise or lecture or to give out an infraction ticket to either a man or woman. You may not hide your face as to be able to identify you while you are in public. The only time you may mask or cover your face is during Halloween, this is a religious traditional custom at the end of October celebrating all Saints Day, where children dress up and go door to door begging for candy and treats. All of us accept to have our picture taken and printed on our driver’s permit, health care card and passports. A result of democracy.

Our Work Place
The employers must respect the governmental laws regarding work conditions. These laws include holidays known and accepted in advance by all employees. These work conditions are negotiated democratically and once accepted both parties respect them. No law or work condition imposes the employer to supply a place of prayer or the time during the working day for this activity. You will also see men and women working side by side. We wear safety helmets on worksites, when required by law.

Our Business
Our businesses are governed by municipal, provincial and federal laws. In our businesses men and women work together and serve the clientele whether they be man or woman. The products sold by these businesses can be of any kind Food products for example must be approved by different governmental agencies before being offered to the general public. You might see in the same store several different types of meat, eg. Beef, chicken, pork and lamb. Other stores offer their clientele a place and equipment to exercise. These places have windows that their clientele can look outside while exercising and are composed of men and women dressed in clothing appropriate for exercising.

Our Families
You will appreciate that both parents manage the children needs and both have the same authority. The parents can be of the same race or not, be from the same country or not, have the same religion or not, even be of the same sex or not. If a boy or girl wants to get married, they may, they have the liberty to chose who their spouse will be. The democratic process is applied to ensure each and everyone’s liberty to choose.

In our families, the boys and girls eat together at the same table and eat the same food. They can eat any type of meat, vegetables or fruit. They don’t eat just meat or just vegetables they can eat both at the same time and this throughout the whole year.
If our children eat meat for example, they don’t need to know where it came from or who killed it. Our people eat to nourish the body not the soul.

Other You might still see crosses that tell our past. They are an integrated part of our history and patrimony and should be considered as such.

To publish all the laws and standards ofMunicipalite Herouwille would be a tedious task. The standards published above are just a sample so the new arrivals to this territory can clearly identify with us before making their decision to move here.

Certainly, being the elected members, we would give the new arrivals the assurance that the conditions that they have fled from in their country would not happen again here in our territory.. Consequently, the peace of mind that we live with will always be.

It must be very clear that any person or persons, groups legal or not that would like to modify our habits and customs or our general way of life cannot do so without going through a referendum process following all laws put forward by our towns and municipalities. These referendums will be at the petitioner or petitioner’s cost.

Elmasry is pro-sharia and a proven liar, claiming that Islam has no penalty for blasphemy.

Tarek Fatah states: "His [Elmasry’s] remarks put the lives of all the members of the MCC in danger because if they travel to these Muslim countries, they could be arrested and prosecuted for blasphemy, which carries a death penalty in all Muslim countries,"

Elmasry has decided to go to the Quebec town and "educate" (read: make veiled threats, accuse them of "racism", and throw in some taqiyya) the people of Herouxville. Elmasry refers to Article 27 of the Charter, the article being exploited by those trying to implement Islamic law. Here is the article:

"27. This Charter shall be interpreted in a manner consistent with the preservation and enhancement of the multicultural heritage of Canadians."

Apparently Elmasry thinks that stoning women to death is part of Canada's "multicultural heritage." And who could blame him? That ambiguous cultural relativist pap about multiculturalism, by itself, is so open to interpretation that people could use it to argue for the legality of cannibalism. But what Elmasry wants everyone to overlook is this, Article 7:

"7. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice."

Of course, Elmasry thinks fundamental justice is sharia, which involves stoning to death those women accused of adultery. That's the part--the direct conflict between Canadian laws and Islamic laws--which Elmasry is trying to conceal. He'll talk about everything other than that.

The same words mean completely different things to me as opposed to an Islamist. Too many people (media people esp) just accept devious statements at face value because they sound good to the Western ear.

"I condemn suicide bombing" is an Islamist classic. Is this a condemnation of the bombings, or just the suicide part?

Its time Canadians took a stand and say enough is enough.Why do we need to learn Islam? The Muslims need to learn how democracy and secular societies operate. I hope someone educates Elmasary about the basics of Canadian society and not the other way around. If Muslims want to live in Canada then they have to abide by civilized behavior. Canada does not condone women begin covered and being not allowed to drive and so forth. What is the problem with that?
And no stoning allowed please !!!!Get that Elmasary!

If you're looking for any news articles covering recent Islamic violence in European cities, I'd suggest news searches on words such as "youths", "unrest" and "asian youths". You won't find much searching words like "riots" or "muslim mob". (a little sarcasm there, but sadly, it's true).

I have had a look at Elmasry's site, the Canadian Islamic Congress. It is basically taqiyya, but they do throw in some verses and reference to Muhammad's life.

They state:

"In 630 Muhammad peacefully re-entered Makkah, where he cleared the Ka'bah of idols. Two years later, he took ill, and died on June 8, 632 C.E."

Muhammad did not enter peacefully; he entered with at least 10,000 of his men ready to make a blood bath, and the Meccan polytheists decided it was in their own best interests to surrender. Upon conquering Mecca, he executed critics and even ordered the death of two singing girls who had sung lyrics mocking him. He ordered all the idols of the polytheists to be burned or smashed, thus wiping out the approx. 360 tribal religious icons. Thereafter here ordered that everyone convert to Islam, and shortly after Muhammad's death, the Muslims on his orders conquered all of Arabia and made it submit to Islam. Muhammad is believed to have died due to having being poisoned by a Jewess who served him lamb, a Jewess whose family Muhammad had slaughtered at an earlier time.

There are five divine guidelines that the Qur'an clearly presents to Muslims for building tolerance and understanding among differing religions.
1. Everyone's God-given human dignity must be respected, regardless of his or her faith, race, ethnic origin, gender, or social status (17:70). Because everyone is created by God Almighty, the Maker of All, humans must treat one another with full honour, respect, and loving-kindness.

In fact, the verse says nothing about race, ethnic origin, gender, or social status. Here is the verse. 17:70. “Verily we have honoured the Children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment.”
As for the statement about human dignity being respected regardless of faith (or religion), that is laughable. Most of the Koran is about killing or burning or torturing the disbelievers because they are disbelievers.

Regarding race, Islamic law specifies that the Caliph must be an Arab (male) of the Quraysh stock (descendant of Muhammad's tribe). The sahih hadith specify that Arabs, and specifically Quraysh, must rule over the others.

Islam apologists will respond to this by citing Muhammad's farewell address in which he states that Arabs are equal to non-Arabs, except with regard to piety. However, that sentiment of equality is not reflected in Islamic law or practice, which contains elements of Arab supremacism. Moreover, the sentiment is directly contradicted by other sahih hadiths which state that Arabs are above others, must rule over others, etc., as well as laws forbidding the enslavement of Arabs (under Unmar), while allowing enslavement of whites and blacks.

2. Islam teaches it is by Divine Will that God's human creation follows different religions, or no religion at all -- no religion is nevertheless a faith, or belief-system. (11:118), (10:99), (18:29). But God Almighty is not pleased when some humans choose not to believe. (39:7)

Here is what these verses actually say, with a bit of context:

11:118. “And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing, 11:119 Save him on whom thy Lord hath mercy; and for that He did create them. And the Word of thy Lord hath been fulfilled: Verily I shall fill hell with the jinn and mankind together.”

10:99 “And if thy Lord willed, all who are in the earth would have believed together. Wouldst thou (Muhammad) compel men until they are believers? 10:100. It is not for any soul to believe save by the permission of Allah. He hath set uncleanness upon those who have no sense.”

18:29. “Say: (It is) the truth from the Lord of you (all). Then whosoever will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve. Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers Fire. Its tent encloseth them. If they ask for showers, they will be showered with water like to molten lead which burneth the faces. Calamitous the drink and ill the resting-place!”

39:7 “If ye are thankless, yet Allah is Independent of you, though He is not pleased with thanklessness for His bondmen; and if ye are thankful He is pleased therewith for you. No laden soul will bear another's load. Then unto your Lord is your return; and He will tell you what ye used to do. Lo! He knoweth what is in the breasts (of men). 39:8 And when some hurt toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning unto Him (repentant). Then, when He granteth him a boon from Him he forgetteth that for which he cried unto Him before, and setteth up rivals to Allah that he may beguile (men) from his way. Say (O Muhammad, unto such an one): Take pleasure in thy disbelief a while. Lo! thou art of the owners of the Fire.”

3. The Qur'an states clearly that freedom of religion is a God-given right (18:29), (10:99). 4. The final judgment of all humanity lies in the hands of God, the One Almighty, their Creator, to whom we all ultimately return (22:68-69), (42:15). 5. God loves justice and those who strive to practice it, especially toward people who are different from them in any way, particularly in matters of religious belief (5:8), (60:8).

22:68-69 again goes on to condemn the non-Muslims to hell-fires (22:72).

42:15…the very next verse 42:16 goes on to say that those who argue about Allah will receive “an awful doom.”

5:8…again the passage goes on to condemn the non-Muslims to hell-fire (5:10); and Sura 5 deals with, among other things, cutting off hands and feet (5:38), and crucifixion and execution (5:33) for those who “spread corruption on earth”—a category of sin-crimes that includes blasphemy, public apostasy, adultery, etc.

60:8. In this brief Sura (60:1-13), we also find this verse, 60:4 “There is a goodly pattern for you in Abraham and those with him, when they told their folk: Lo! we are guiltless of you and all that ye worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there hath arisen between us and you hostility and hate for ever until ye believe in Allah only - save that which Abraham promised his father (when he said): I will ask forgiveness for thee, though I own nothing for thee from Allah - Our Lord! In Thee we put our trust, and unto Thee we turn repentant, and unto Thee is the journeying."

In other words, every one of those quotes is in a passage in which Allah is either burning the non-Muslims in hell or telling Muslims to hate them, punish them, etc.

Actually it makes no mention whatsoever of Islam or Muslims. Presumably they recognize their own behaviour, and are concerned about being restricted in what they can do.

Good luck to plucky Herouxville. If that town was in the USA, they would most certainly lose a lawsuit to organizations who would shop for a judge that would agree with the 'victims' (read Muslims) about the town's rules. If a town was prohibiting a flag or a nativity set or town Christmas tree, the town would win over any objections. But, the world has turned upside down. Western traditions lose now more than they win in courts. If Herouxville loses in a court, expect that Muslims will deliberately move to that town. Then, Muslims will be allowed to demand only female doctors for their women at the local hospital, separate swimming times for sexes at the local public swimming pool, no children's stories at school that contain pig characters. On the other hand, if Herouxville wins and is allowed to hold on to their traditions, I just might consider a move!!

It is terrific news that the mayor and city counselors have taken a stand and have publically declared the societal norms they expect to be followed in their community.

What exactly is elucidated that they object to? That there might be Christmas decorations or moslem women wouldn't be given their own time slot at the community pool or exercise area?

How ironic, Dr.Elmasry was on the Michael Coren show when he declared that "All Israelis over 18 were valid targets for murder by suicide-bombers" , he never denied saying it until 3 days later when the MSM caught hold and the Police were called to look at this as a hate-crime and then he denied it , except Mr.Coren re-ran the show a few days later because he was attacked by Muslims groups claiming Elmasry was being smeared by alleged statements .

When viewers saw that Elmasry did state he believed Israelis over 18 could be murdered by suicide-bombers , it was then that he claimed he was "Taken out of context" and that he was only repeating what Canadian-Palestinians told him.
But as the MSM pressed the issue he then went to the Free-speech protected in the Charter Of Rights, the CIC kept him on as Pres. because they said he "Made a mistake" .
This weasel now wants to use the Charter to silence non-Muslims and impose his Sharia-law on people because they hurt his feelings and offended islam.

Hate speech? Incitement to violence? Sounds like it to us, but a knowledgeable Muslim would have to disagree.

Why would Muslims not consider this to be hate speech? How is it that we can post these quotes with full certainty that CAIR won't be contacting the media (or Congress) with wild-eyed accusations of Islamophobia?

Well, for one thing, we don’t actually agree with any of these statements, of course. But the real reason is that Muslims themselves honestly believe these quotes to be the literal, eternal word of Allah. In fact, CAIR is promoting this hate speech on their own website! It is actively propagating the very literature that contains these comments, even while sanctimoniously claiming that it is working against hate and violence.

But… isn't CAIR a Muslim organization? What’s the catch?

Well, if you haven’t guessed it already, these are quotes from the Qur’an in which we've replaced the word ‘Christian’, ‘Jew’ or ‘unbeliever’ with the word ‘Muslim.’

Here is how they actually appear in the literature that groups like CAIR are pushing:

Sura (8:55) - Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve
Sura (48:29) - Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves

Sura (9:30) - And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah... Allah (Himself) fights against them. How perverse are they!

Sura (8:12) - I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them

Sura (9:123) - O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness

Sura (5:33) - The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement

These verses come from five different places in the Qur’an. There are dozens of others scattered throughout that advocate violence in open-ended fashion. There are hundreds more that speak of hatred and hell toward Christians, Jews, and other non-believers. (Is it any wonder that the Muslim world is split largely between those who tacitly support Islamic terror and those who do nothing about it?)

Very few of these verses are bound by historical context within the text of the Qur’an, and any appeal to external sources for mitigation would apply also to the tiny handful of verses that are used (disingenuously) to promote Islam as being loving and tolerant. More importantly, there are far more violent verses than ones of tolerance, and most were “revealed” later, thus abrogating the handful of earlier ones.

And yet, this is the book that CAIR wants people to read! This is what CAIR considers to be holy text, even to the extent that an exact replica of the Qur’an (grammatical errors and all) is said to be on a table in heaven guarded by angels.

So, the next time you hear CAIR smugly accusing its critics of “hate speech,” just remember what the organization's agenda really is:

They don’t mind hate speech directed at non-Muslims. In fact, they promote it.
They don't mind religious minorities being denied rights that Muslims have in Muslims societies. In fact, they plug fatwas and religious literature that encourage discrimination.

They don't even mind the vast amount of terrorism in the name of Islam. In fact, they refuse to acknowledge and denounce more than 99% of it, including the on-going genocide against black Africans by Arabs.

The language of civil rights and tolerance is merely a tool of convenience for prominent Muslim organizations in the West to advance the cause of Islamic supremacy. A true civil rights organization, however, is concerned about rights for all people, regardless of race or religion, and this is something that Islam has never been able to produce... and probably never will...

At least according to our Qur’an!

In where I live Christian and Jewish women are demaning along side muslim women not to have strangth men be allow to look at them while they workout at than fitting center or swimming in a swimming pool. One jewish men who own a fitting center is puting up than screen to seperate women and men workout area. One nation wide fitness center is doing the same it women in the fitness center ask
for seperate workout area. This isnot than only muslim issue. Many christian woman where I live are dressing more modest.

That's fine. Women should dress more modestly. I don't like tank tops and low riders. The only difference between the Muslim women and the non-Muslim women is the non-Muslim women would not kill you for not dressing modestly.

I am pretty conservative. I just have a problem with a Nazi-esque ideology that has a religious dimension to it.

Alots of women where I live are sick and tire of dirly old men given then dirtly stare and look when they are working out or swimming and the muslim women that go to our Islamist Center donot kill anybody for not being modest dress. Join the holy month we have parent of the Islamist svhool we run show up for the breaking of the fast half of the kid are nom-muslim from non-muslim families. One single mother show up wear than micro-mini shirt so hight up her hip that you where able to see with no touble
that she has no underwear on and a blouse so low cut that you where able to see her entire breast hang out of the side. One muslim brother want to tell her
that she wasnot dress right I stop him saying let the women handle this. The woman very genle let her know she was not dress right but she was allow to join the weomen in prayer and dinner. The man she was dateing got her pregeant and he took off so she have to work as than nude dancer to support herself and her daughter. The next time she was more modest dress and alot of muslim men donot like her boyfriend who took off the way he did.

I read the entire proclamation and not once did it mention national origin, skin color, religous affliations or any other grouping of people as 'not desired'. It mentioned no physical characteristics that would not be welcome in the municipality.

Racism has joined Patriotism as the 'last refuge of a scoundrel' to paraphrase Patrick Johnson.

The people who framed the proclamation did not exclude anyone... they simply said 'this is what you can expect in our community and you have to have a referendum to change any of it.'

The following link clearly illustrates the extent to which radical Islam has already ingrained itself into our country. It's strange such events are not tolerated by the little town of Herouxville, Quebec, Canada, which clearly mandated Muslims are NOT allowed to import their tribal proclivities into their new home in Herouxville. When the Herouxville story first broke, the host of CBC Radio One's As it Happens, Carol Off tried to make Mr. Drouin look like a fool on national radio by making out the town's proclamation to be superfluous at the last because stoning, polygamy etc. were against Canadian law. Instead, judging by the feedback broadcast the next day, the ususally dhimified listeners appeared to be quite unanimous in supporting Herouxville.

And, on a somewhat related theme, Newfoundland star of a couple of CBC TV shows, Rick Mercer, hoisted a Newfoundland professor of women's studies for her failure to appreciate that Canada's fight against the Taliban in Afghanistan is a fight for principles (anti-Sharia) that any true feminist should support.

Maybe there is a hope for the Great White North after all.

I agree with most of the rules the town came up with, but think banning the wearing of "headscarves" was going overboard, not just because I personally think there's no harm in adult women wearing these silly things if they want to do so (I feel very differently about the face-covering niqab and burqa, however), but also for the very practical reason that a Quebec winter is, to coin a quaint Canadian expression, "colder than all the shithouses in hell", and many women, Muslim or not, like to wrap scarves around their heads to keep warm, as I did when I lived in a colder part of the country, because like many women I find hats uncomfortable and don't like the way they muss up my hair. How are the town's enforcers going to tell the difference when it's 40 below with a wind chill? Bless their rural hearts, but I don't think these well-meaning folks thought this one through quite thoroughly enough.

This professor of women's studies is, I think, sadly typical; it's a common, if understandable, mistake these days for laypersons to assume that someone who teaches women's studies actually gives a rat's ass about women's rights, let alone is anything resembling a "true feminist". Most women's studies academics are a toxic neo-Marxist/ radical relativist/post-modernist hybrid of the kind that has infested many other social sciences over the past few decades.
