Abdel Karim's family disowns him

Imprisoned Egyptian Blogger Update: "Abdel Karim family disowns him," from Sandmonkey, with thanks to CJ:

Abdel Karim father announced today that he is disowning Abdel Karim, and that he would like to see Sharia Law applied to his son, in which he would have 3 days to repent at the end of which if he is not repentent, he would be killed. The Father also announced that he intends to disown his son publically in court- accompanied by his Koran-memorizing 4 other children- the day of the verdict in order to "lift the pressure" that the civil society and human rights organization maybe imposing on the Court. He also called the Human Rights organizations who are fighting for his son's freedom "Chimps Rights Organizations" since "they are defending a Chimp like AbdelKarim" who is emulating the west in "their thinking and opinions". Nice, eh?

Why do I have the feeling that this court session will be a circus?

So is someone challenging Islam now or human rights? Why do organisation think these things are disproportionate? If Allah exists let him decide when he dies of old age. This is ridiculous and so 700A.D. It’s madness it proves that this is exactly what Islam is about it’s a law with many deaths to it’s sins without remorse without forgiveness. I would rather live in a society where life is considered precious not to be thrown away because you have an outside opinion or consider small sins virtue of death.
4 BILLION people are not Muslims so does that mean we should die? Give them nuclear weapons I you wonder if they make an excuse to use them is in their religion and no one would condemn their actions because it’s religiously legal in their terms.
I see a Godless person or Atheist having more love, more justice more forgiveness and a chance to start life over again from sin than what Sharia law dictates on mankind. You can see it’s not written by man but from beast and the devil of prophecy behaves funnily enough in the same predicted manor when people refuse to accept the ,ark of the beast.

I just bought Hirsi Ali's book, "Infidel", and in it she has a letter to her father explaining why she left her husband and in the letter she expresses the hope that her father will someday forgive her and everntually bless her. Instead, he sent the letter back with a message on the bottom of it that she was a disgrace, that he hoped Allah would punish her and that she could go to hell. Instead of a blessing, he definitely cursed her.

What kind of a system wishes pain on those who don't follow the partyline? It's like dealing with a spoiled child who picks up his marbles and goes home when he doesn't get his way. Except that in Islam it isn't a game, it's deadly. That is one of the main reasons I oppose Islam like I do. Don't try and force me to accept something that I disagree with and then try to beat me or kill me because you want it that way and think that whoever is the more powerful has the right to have their way. Might certainly does not make right. And Islam would be nothing if it didn't have pain and loss to inflict on it's new prospects.

Islam. What an embarassment.

"repent or die"

That is 2007. Not 637, 1007, or 1607, no indeed.

So where are the angry human rights groups? Where are freedom's advocates? What about opponents of the death penalty? People who constantly drone on about Republican theocrats? Helloooooooooo?

We will be able to get wireless live feeds of blasphemy proceedings on our Blackberries. There's something very rotten, and it's not limited to Denmark.

Getting your sons to murder their sister to save the family honour; calling for your son to suffer the death penalty if he doesn't capitulate - this religion would appear to instil, in its adherents, the insensitivity of a senile gorilla. In fact I'm being unfair to gorillas unfortunate enough to go gaga, by saying that.

Islam is an ideology that can drive people to murder their own family members. Nothing has changed since the 7th century in regards to the core doctrine and what it does to people psychologically:

Ishaq, p. 369
“The apostle said, 'Kill any Jew who falls under your power.' Thereupon Muhayyisa b. Mas'ud leapt upon Ibn Sunayna, a Jewish merchant with whom they had social and business relations, and killed him. Huwayyisa was not a Muslim at the time though he was the elder brother. When Muhayyisa killed him Huwayyisa began to beat him saying, 'You enemy of God, did you kill him when much fat on your belly comes from his wealth?' Muhayyisa answered, 'Had the one who ordered me to kill him ordered me to kill you I would have cut your head off.' He said that this was the beginning of Huwayyisa's acceptance of Islam. The other replied, 'By God, if Muhammad had ordered you to kill me you would have killed me?' He said, 'Yes, by God, had he ordered me to cut off your head I would have done so.' He exclaimed, 'By God, a religion that can bring you to this is marvellous!' and he became a Muslim.”

Family of Al-Azhar Student, Accused of “Contempt of Religion”, Disowns Him Before His Court Verdict Session

Written by Nabeel Abu Shal and Tamer Al-Sharqawy
18/2/2007

The family of Al-Azhar student Abdul Kareem Nabeel Suleiman, accused of “contempt of religion”, has disowned him before his court verdict session on the upcoming Thursday. His father, a retired mathematics teacher, has demanded applying the Sharia [Islamic law] ruling on him by giving him three days to repent, followed by having him killed if he does not announce his repentance.

The father of the Al-Azhar student, who is accused of contempt of the Islamic religion, harming the reputation of Egypt, and inciting to disrupt the peace and to overthrow the regime, has decided to rescind from boycotting his trial hearing sessions. [He has decided] to attend the court verdict session with his four brothers, who completely memorized the Holy Quran, to announce disowning the accused Abdul Kareem inside the court room, in order to reduce the embarrassment and pressure that civil rights organizations are applying on the court panel.

The father of the accused also described the organizations that are working on having his son acquitted as “monkey rights” organizations, in his own words. He also described his son as the “monkey” who has imitated the atheists of the West in their intellectual thinking.

The family also said that they will announce their disownment of their son on the Internet as well.

The Dean of Sharia in Al-Azhar University, which the student Abdul Kareem attends, had him attend a disciplinary hearing after he attacked the Islamic religion on the Internet, and spoke against the Messenger of Allah – peace and blessings be upon him – and the companions [of the prophet of Islam].

Let's see if our Kos Kids friends have anything to say about killing bloggers. I'm sure they're willing to sanction a death sentence for those with whom they disagree (the "little Eichmans" philosophy).

"repent or die"

Why is the father and "his four brothers, who completely memorized the quran" ( who cares?? ) bringing their song and dance to court? All for attention - the limelight. They should not be allowed in there at all.

The father is going to disown his son publicly to "save face"... I have no doubt that he and his family are under a hell of a lot of pressure from the Islamic a**h*les here in Cairo. Don't get me wrong... I am not defending the families actions... as it is quite clear that they are themseleves Islamic a**h*les.

It is a very sad state of affairs here in Egypt. Islamification is advancing rapidly, even among the "educated" middle and upper classes.

The Islamists are chomping at the bit for Hosni to die... when he passes... all hell will break loose here in Egypt...

Could it be that Abdel Karim and the Egyptian Sandmonkey are two of those unicorns, the fabled moderate or non-evil muslims we keep hearing about?

or is this a long term taqqiya operation by the deceptive muslims to convince infidels that one or two muslims may not be evil?

"Repent or Die."

Looks like just another child sacrifice.

I agree with gnegypt -- the family has probably been under a lot of pressure, and probably getting death threats. The father may just be doing what he feels he has to do to protect the lives of the rest of his family

Look at any Muslim court anywhere...they are all "circuses"......Judge Roy Bean "the hanging judge" would have been impressed....
