AMSTERDAM: The leader of a Dutch anti-immigration party will call for a vote of no-confidence in two Muslim government ministers next week, citing their dual nationality as the issue, a newspaper reported today.Geert Wilders said in an interview with the Dutch daily NRC Handelsblad the appointment of Moroccan-born Ahmed Aboutaleb and Turkish-born Nebahat Albayrak as junior ministers was wrong because both could have loyalties towards countries other than the Netherlands.
Wilders, whose Party for Freedom (PVV) party won 9 seats out of 150 in the November election, said he will call for a no-confidence vote when the cabinet discusses its policy plans in parliament.
The new cabinet, formed by Christian Democrats, Labour and the Christian Union and sworn in on Thursday by the Dutch queen, is expected to soften immigration policy, which had been tightened under the previous coalition in response to the rise of the populist Pim Fortuyn in 2002.
Maverick politician Fortuyn broke taboos with his criticism of Muslim immigrants before he was murdered by an animal rights activist.
In Saturday's interview, Wilders said: "I do not want to live in a country where some day six or seven members of cabinet could be Muslim," adding that Islamic laws were "barbaric", referring to four people who were beheaded in Saudi-Arabia this week.
"I want to encourage Muslims to leave the Netherlands voluntarily. The demographic development should become such, that the chance is small that we again have two Muslims in the cabinet." About 1 million Muslims live in the Netherlands out of a population of 16 million.
Last week Wilders called on Muslims to ditch half the teachings in the Koran and said he would chase Islam's Prophet Mohammad out of the country if he were alive today. The Iranian embassy called those remarks "spiteful", while the Saudi Arabian embassy held talks over the comments with Dutch foreign ministry officials.

Why?
Because the majority of new immigrants will be from the 3rd world, with median IQs solidly in the 80s, who will be reliable left wing voters for generations.
Have they lost their mind?
No. Raising Islamic voting blocks to 10 or even 15% will solidify leftist control and protect the politicians’ jobs and perks. Muslim immigrants and income re-distribution proponents are natural allies in the democratic process. Now that Western governments have gotten their electorates bought-in and addicted to social programs, its tough to expect the electorate to vote to remove their own benefits.
Its perfectly logical. Kinda selling out the accomplishments of the forefathers, but, you know, its politics.

I find it interesting that politicians in Netherlands can keep previous citizenships, ie retain dual nationality. In Australia here and I think in USA a candidate has to relinquish any other nationalities before standing for office.
Allowing immigrants to retain previous nationalities while in office is a ridiculous PC situation which doesn't serve Netherlands.
On another front, 1 million Muslims in a country of 16 million is over 6% population so no wonder they have a problem there.

Everytime a country has someone make a statement on Islam that doesn't kiss Mo's butt countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia always complain to the "offending" nation's embassy. Maybe it's time for some of these nations to instruct their ambassadors to tell Iranians and Saudis that relations will be broken if they don't stop all that complaining on the grounds that they're interfering with the internal affairs of their countries.

Anyways, funny thing is that Aboutaleb says he's fine with Wilders' no-confidence vote and calls it "his democratic right", while Christian ultraconservative cabinet members give him hell for it.
Of course Aboutaleb knows that Wilders, unfortunately, has no chance of winning that vote. Not in a country where the very first statement of one of the new cabinet members was that she was OK with women wearing burkas in public and another minister saying that if two thirds of the people decided to vote in sharia law, he'd go along with that since "this is the essence of democracy".

I am thoroughly fed up with the term "anti-immigration" being applied to political movements because they oppose granting entry to persons who are truly hostile and dangerous to the nation's social fabric -- i.e.: the Geert Wilders, as opposed to the truly xenophobic movements like the BNP and Jean Marie LePen's National Front.
